Obeying God by Waiting on HimAs leaders we are called to obedience in the Lord and it is vital for our lives and those we serve. Today, we hear about how Joshua so patiently waited on the Lord's directives till he knew exactly what he was to do! CROSS THE JORDAN AND SEE IT DRY UP.As we wait on the Lord, keep your eyes and ears attuned to His voice and watch the Lord work Miracles for you and your family. Joshua 3: 1-8 Joshua was up early and on his way from Shittim with all the People of Israel with him. He arrived at the Jordan and camped before crossing over. After three days, leaders went through the camp and gave out orders to the people: âWhen you see the Covenant-Chest of God, your God, carried by the Levitical priests, start moving. Follow it. Make sure you keep a proper distance between you and it, about half a mileâbe sure now to keep your distance!âand youâll see clearly the route to take. Youâve never been on this road before.â 5 Then Joshua addressed the people: âSanctify yourselves. Tomorrow God will work miracle-wonders among you.â 6 Joshua instructed the priests, âTake up the Chest of the Covenant and step out before the people.â So they took it up and processed before the people. 7-8 God said to Joshua, âThis very day I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all Israel. Theyâll see for themselves that Iâm with you in the same way that I was with Moses. We will be reviewing the the book of Joshua this week. It will show us how Godâs faithfulness to his covenant with the Israelites to bring them into the land he promised to Abraham through Joshua. This book points to the importance of obedience before, during, and after God fulfills his promises.
As a leader it is vital that we obey God's word, not mans. This doesn't mean we don't obey those God puts in leadership over us. It simply means we do not go against God's word. Chapter 1 is all about being Bold and Courageous!!

In today's episode, I got to talk with Quincy Bert about my book âGod on the Moveâ and how it relates to what is going on in the world today highlighting seeing with our spiritual eyes, keeping our eyes on Jesus and not taking offense from people that âdonât knowâ better based on 2 Corinthians 4:3. We also discussed removing distractions to get into the presence of God on purpose, evangelism in love and how all of that relates to discernment.
