Featuring Charline Grant, a parent advocate from York region, and Benjamin McDonald, a recent graduate of the University of Toronto and former student at the Peel District School Board.
Jan has an honest conversation with Charline and Ben about what is a micro aggression, the role of parents as education advocates for black students in Canada, and why streaming into non-academic programs negatively affects students of colour.

The fact that suicide is on the rise amongst teens and young adults in Canada is disturbing. It is especially worrisome because there are many youth mental health awareness campaigns led by governments, NGOs and corporations. Could we possibly be doing something more?
To answer this question, I urge listeners today to critically examine what mental health means to them as a category.
