Listen to a powerful testimony of a young lady that has been changed by the Power of God and is on fire for Jesus.

Testimony of Kaylin Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson 29 November 2023

How was your life like before you got saved?

Kaylin says that life for her before she got saved was very unstable, her dad was on drugs and her mom was struggling to make ends meet. She says she did not have a good relationship with her parents because they were always arguing. The toxic relationship her parents created caused her to turn to her schoolbooks so she could avoid her reality.

How did you end up changing?

In Primary school, Kaylin was trying her best to deal with what she was facing at home. She remembers her friend invited her to a Christian camp, she was very young but clearly remembers God touching her life.

She got saved and got home to find that her dad was put out of their house, she says she did not understand and questioned God.

She says that she thought Christianity was all smooth-sailing but soon realized that being a Christian does not mean you will have a life without storms but that we have a savior that is with us in the midst of the storm – our lifeguard that walks on water.

Kaylin says that she had to learn by herself how to seek the face of God, she did not always understand but kept on reading her bible and knew that every word is true. After her dad got saved, they joined Victory Outreach and there she started to develop in her walk with Christ.

How is God using your life today?

Kaylin is currently part of the GANG team at Victory Outreach where she helps girls deal with life and encourage them in the ways of the lord. She is also part of the New Gen where Kaylin shares the word of God to 11–14-year-olds.

She says she enjoys sharing her testimony with the youth. Words of encouragement from Kaylin: “Stay with God and so as I've mentioned I went through many trials besides the dysfunctional household I had at home, I was also sexually abused. So, there was a lot that I went through while being saved and because these trials were so heavy it led me to a really dark season in my life. I struggled with depression and anxiety and yes this was while I was saved but I was struggling with these things because I wasn't casting my burdens, but I was carrying them.

Once I started casting that I was able to make it out. Seeking the lord daily and deeply helped me and I can truly say that it's God in my relationship with him that carry me through.

If there is anyone out there facing the same thing or something similar, I want to encourage you to keep seeking God. Keep pursuing him and running after Him with all that you are because he is a faithful God, and he sees us through every season.

Yes, I know it's hard and sometimes we question because we don't understand. I've been there and I've cried I've cried and there were moments where I didn't want to love anymore but I want you to know that God sees you and that you are not alone.

Remember to surround yourself with the community that prays for you and uplifts you and remember that the word of God says that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is in the boat with you, and he is working all things together for your good.

So, don't give up, keep running after Jesus.”

Testimony of Zoe Carter

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

1 November 2023

How was it being brought up in ministry?

Zoe says that being brought up in ministry was somewhat quite easy in her younger years. She says that she had witnessed how her family ministered in an unconventional way through creative arts which made her realize that God can be served in more than one way.

How did you come to experience God on your own and what is doing in your life today?

Zoe says that she became more knowledgeable on the things of God and that God became very tangible and prominent in her life. She also credits her parents for always encouraging her to find God for herself.

At what point did you decide to give your life to God? Zoe says her grandfather always asked her if she was saved and has dutifully walked her through the Sinner’s Prayer multiple times.

What is God doing in your life today?

Zoe says that she and her family has joined Victory Outreach church, and that God has been using her life in a mighty way. She has been privileged to be part of the worship team and has been involved in the admin department from time to time, which has awoken a new passion.

Zoe says this year she also has had the privilege of going to America for three months where she helped to spread the gospel in a unique way.

Words of encouragement from Zoe:

“Do not let someone else dictate your relationship with God because at the end of the day it's your relationship and you need to discover what connects you with Him the most and to not just follow to one-size-fits-all or cut-and-paste-journey from someone else.

A relationship with God is something that you need to discover on your own and you need to learn on your own and get to know Jesus on your own.

So don't feel pressured to fit a certain picture or look because someone else said so and just know that yes maybe you're gonna be an outlier in your social circle but at the end of the day we were all made to stand out and be our own individuals.

So, maybe not being invited to that party is a good thing in the long run. Yeah, so please don't ever feel that need to fit into a certain picture or look a certain way or say certain things to be a Christian.

You can be you and God wants you to be your own individual unique self because there's not just one way to be a Christian .”

Testimony of Cheslyn Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson 25 October 2023

How was your life before you got saved?

Cheslyn describes his life as being like a roller coaster ride. He says that he found himself in the wrong crowds, doing the wrong things.

At the age of 13 he joined a gang and started to sell drugs. Cheslyn says that he did not see a future for himself. He was bound to a certain way of living and didn’t realize that he would be hooked.

How did you end up changing?

Cheslyn remembers that it was on a Wednesday evening when a group of people from Victory Outreach church came to speak to him.

He says that days later, he done some introspection and understood that he did not want to continue living the way he was. He says that he connected with a man in the area who had spoken to him about God before.

He then got booked into the Men’s Recovery Home, which helped him to recover from his addictions and focus on God.

How is God using your life today?

God is using Cheslyn in a mighty way, he says he now walks in dignity and has been blessed to be in a leadership position for Christ by evangelizing to people who was once where Cheslyn had been.

A word of encouragement from Cheslyn:

“To the listener that can hear the sound of my voice this morning, no matter what your option, no matter what your trials, no matter what your circumstances. No matter what the challenge is, you can overcome it. Your outward appearance…

You know sometimes we as young people we want to neglect God because God didn’t show up but God doesn't look at the outward appearance he looks at the heart. I might not know who needs this this morning I might not know who is listening to the sound of my voice.

I want to let you know that faith as small as a mustard seed, If you tell the mountain to be moved; it will be moved. I don't know what you're going through don't know what you're feeling but know that God knows your heart, he hears you cry.

Don't give up young adult, young person wherever you are. Mommy daddy don't stop believing in them, there’s a way out there's a purpose, there's a mission with Him’ If He can do it for me, He can do it for you. God doesn’t favor anyone;

He gives us exactly the same that He gives each and everyone.

Mommy, daddy, don't give up this morning move, and it will be moved”

Testimony of Ricwa Die Griekwa.

Check out this powerful testimony of Ricwa Die Griekwa. From being caught up in a life of gangsterism to now serving the Lord and using his gifts to make an impact in this generation.

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson 17 October 2023

How was your life before you got saved?

Ricwa says that he grew up well. He had strict parents. When he turned 13, he says he started experiencing challenges. Ricwa says he was exposed to the wrong people and joined a gang.

He says he knew Jesus but did not have a relationship with Him and thus Ricwa did not know his identity.

How did you end up changing?

In 2011, He was going through a lot he says.

He felt like he wanted to end his life. Ricwa recalls being on a mountain, praying and telling God that if God doesn’t save him now, he will not make it. Ricwa says he was desperate for a way out and God came through for him.

How is God using your life today?

Ricwa says that he has always been creative. He says that when he became a Christian, he did not know that people Rap for God. He was amazed.

He says that when he saw how people were being led to Jesus through music, then he realized that he too could use his talent for God. This year Ricwa was able to produce a movie titled The Hustle.

A word of encouragement from Ricwa:

“To the people that's going through it, going through what I went through. At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself if it’s all worth it. Does what you do bring you fulfillment. I had to learn the hard way you know but thank God for his grace and his mercy.

If it wasn't for Him you know I would not have been one of the biggest directors in South Africa you know. I'm saying, if you want to change, not just your life but other people's lives;

Jesus is the answer, and you need to be in a place where you really want to change and and yeah He will meet you halfway”

Tracey Carter Music – Run 4 Hope Edition

October 10, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Hello there, are you looking for some Tracey Carter Music?

Check out this song that was produced for Victory Outreach South Africa Run 4 Hope. It is fire. You can read Tracey Carters' Testimony here.

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

10 October 2023

Tracey Carter Music

Tracey says that she has been singing for as long as she can remember but has been singing professionally for 25 years.

How did you get involved in music?

Music has always been second nature for Tracey. She performed on stage for the first time when she was 4 years old and learned to play an instrument at 6 years old.

At the age of 12, she started to lead in worship and began writing songs at age 16. Tracey says that music always spoke to her and thus she was always eager to learn more.

What new projects are you currently working on?

Tracey and her family strongly felt that God was calling them to do something new. She felt that God called her to Victory Outreach because it aims to reach the lost and broken-hearted.

She says that sometimes we become so preoccupied with our own lives that we forget we have a mission as Christians. Our mission is to reach the world for Jesus.

One of the ways Victory Outreach International reaches many people is through an initiative called Run 4 Hope, this annual event helps to raise funds for World missions.

Tracey says she was asked to write a song and when she wrote a song for this year’s Run 4 Hope event. She felt like in producing this song, she contributed to reaching people for Jesus.

A word of encouragement from Tracey:

“I would ask, if you believe that you've been called then my question to you is, what have you got to say? because that's what's going to sustain you. That's what's gonna make you stand out. That's what's gonna make people gravitate towards you because you know it can't just be about the music.

There are thousands of people out there who love music, love making music and who might never be heard. Never be seen but you know if you've got something to say, if you know what is in your heart.

What's your message, what's your authenticity, what makes you unique and what's that thing that's in your heart that you're wanting to share.

What impact are you wanting to make in music?

How are you going to do it differently that are going to make people sit up and listen to you and I think that's what's important you know.

When Jesus came, he had a message. Not only did he have a message, but he had a strategy and it's his message plus his strategy that caused people to stop and follow and stop and listen so yeah. What's your message and what's your strategy?”

Testimony of Jason – Treatment Programs for AlcoholismSeptember 27, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

What a powerful testimony of the life changing power of Jesus Christ. If you are looking for Treatment Programs for Alcoholism, look no further.

Check out this powerful testimony of how Jason's life was change from alcoholism.Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson27 September 2023

How was your life like before you came to know the lord?

Jason says that in his teen years he was a mess. He abused alcohol, partied too hard and his life was heading nowhere very quickly.
How did you end up changing?

As Jason’s life was going nowhere, he says that God sent someone his way. God sent a pastor his way.The pastor ended up being his father-in-law.

Jason says that his mom had invited the pastor to stay at their home for a week because there had been a crusade up the road from his house, and in that week, he felt the holy spirit.

Jason says he simply had to get saved.

What is God doing in your life today?

Jason has been saved for 25 years this year.

He has been in ministry for many years and his passion has always been for the youth. Jason says for 25 years he has been involved with youth. He and his wife help to steer the youth in the right direction through music and creative arts.

Word of encouragement from Jason:

“If there’s someone out there with teenagers in the house and it’s a broken family or it's not a whole family, with both parents present. I grew up in a single parent home, so my mom struggled with four kids. That was really tough, I mean we couldn't really get many things, even though she was working two to three jobs at a time.

I can say this to parents, especially when you have a lost child, what they really need as teenagers is not to be blasted all the time. What they need is, they need real talk.

They need love to come from authenticity. They need to know who they are. With everything that's going on in this world, it's that arm around the shoulder.

The shoulder to cry on. Be the encourager. Show them how the best version of themselves can happen through the value systems in a family.”

Testimony of Charlton BrownSeptember 20, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Welcome to the Rise Up Radio Segment where we features powerful testimonies of the Life Changing Power of Jesus Christ.Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

How was your life like before you came to know the lord?

Charlton says that he grew up in church and that his parents had been saved for as long as he can remember. He says that he always wanted to be a sportsman but that he got involved with the wrong friends. He then started to party and try different things.

He says that he stopped partying for a while and met a girl and fell in love but soon thereafter he was heartbroken. His heartbreak caused him to reach for the Tik pipe and his lift went downhill from there. He spent the next 12 years as a drug addict.
How did you end up changing?

Charlton says that one day he was smoking with his friends, and he was involved in an altercation, fighting with a friend of his.

His rib ended up being cracked and he thought to himself is this all he would amount to.His father’s words kept playing through his mind saying, ‘This is not who God has called you to be, it is just a phase in your life.’Later he found himself in the Victory Outreach Men’s Recovery Home.

At the Recovery home, God grabbed a hold of Him.He says that he told God, if God can change his life in one moment, then he wants to stick around to see what else God can do.

What is God doing in your life today?

Today Charlton serves at the churches Urban Training Centre, which helps to equip young leaders to walk in their purpose. He also serves as the Gang regional, leading the youth ministries around South Africa.

Word of encouragement from Charlton:

So, I am a testimony that God can do anything with anyone at any time. That your life is not too far gone for God to turn it all around. God didn't come for me at my best but when I was doing the worst. If you are a family member, trusting God to save a loved one,

I'm standing here because there was a family that never gave up hope, that believed God for every promise and every word. That believed God at his word that says that it will not return void.

The Bible says in Isaiah 60vs22 that At the right time I the Lord God will make it happen. God is about to do what he promised you. His word is about to bring forth and manifest itself because God is an amazing and he's a great God.

He's a promise keeper, He's a way maker, He's a miracle worker and He's able to turn broken things and make them into beautiful masterpieces.

So, my encouragement is to keep on pushing. Keep on believing. Keep on trusting God. God will do what He Said he would do.”

Testimony of James Olifant – Victory Fest Edition

September 6, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

6 September 2023

How was your life like before you got saved?

James says that he grew up in a good Christian home, where his mom and dad did their best to bring him up in the ways of the lord. At the age of 13, his mom passed away. He found himself wanting to fit in with the wrong people.
James says that the bad decisions he made is because of wanting to fit in. Eventually, his decisions made him experiment with drugs. James’s addiction later sneaked into his marriage which resulted in his family losing respect for him and him contemplating suicide.

How did you end up changing?

James says that he looked at his family overtime and he decided that because they deserve better, he needs to change. He no longer wanted to be a disappointment anymore.A friend of his who was on drugs entered into the Victory Outreach recovery home.

When his friend returned from the home his life was forever changed and James knew that he too needed that for his life.

What is God doing in your life today?

James believes wholeheartedly that him being saved is a miracle. God restored his marriage and his relationship with his children. James is now a proud father who provides for his family.

He also serves in the kingdom of God.James is currently involved with the churches’ very first carnival entitled Victory Fest that will be happening on the 13th and 14th October 2023 in aid of the fundraising for Run for Hope.

Word of encouragement from James:

“To anybody out there who might be struggling with substance abuse, or you’re hurting or even know of a family member that is going through what I have been through.

I want to let you know that Jesus can turn any situation around. I was lost and hurt but Jesus was able to change my life.

Today I am a new person, I am changed, my family is restored, and Jesus can do the same thing for you. If He did it before He can do it again.

You need to know that the lord has a plan for each and everyone of us and what we need to do is to give our lives to Jesus, to surrender. He will show you what He can do in your life.”

Testimony of Pastor George NduAugust 24, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson22 August 2023

How was your life like before you got saved?

Pastor says that before he got saved, he was quite a regular young man, like many men his age. He thought he had his life all together.
He says he just wanted to build himself up by gaining a career. However, he admits to always feeling a pull inside of him, pulling him towards the plan God had for him.

So, he was always searching, but he never knew what he was searching for until he met Jesus.

How did you end up accepting Jesus?

Pastor George says that he was pursuing a career as an actor, which led him to Lagos, Nigeria. He met someone who introduced him to Victory Outreach and the pastors there.

He says that he was drawn to the vision and mission of the church. After reading the book Treasures out of darkness, he explains that his heart got connected even more.

What is God doing in your life today?

Pastor says that since he gave his life to the lord there has been an upward trajectory. God has raised him up in many ways. He now serves as a missionary and minister in Victory Outreach.

He says the mission of the church, that helps to give hope to the hopeless allowed God to use him in a powerful way.

How can those who are interested, partner with Victory Outreach?

“There are very many ways that you can be a partner or can partner with us. The services we provided are free to people but it's not free because it costs resources, it takes resources to be able to do what we do now.

One way that I can think of immediately that you can partner with us, is that annually we have an initiative called Run for Hope.

Run for Hope is a fun run that we do annually as a way of raising funds to continue to build and establish other Christian recovery homes across the city across the nation and even across the globe and so this year we'll be having one.

There is an ongoing one right now and I am also taking part. The grand finale will be on the 28th of October that will be the actual run however we're doing different things to raise funds and so I am participating.

I would like for you to be part, to partner with me and support me. Now, you can support me with any amount. Any amount you give, whether it's R1000, a R500.

Whatever amount God lays on your heart all of it goes towards reaching many more that are caught up in this lifestyle.

If you would like to partner with me and support me then you can feel free to go to www.vocapetown.net/pg there you will see my details, you can read more and then you'll be able to support me with any amounts.

Testimony of Chadleigh Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

16 August 2023

How was your life like growing up, before you got saved?

Chadleigh was raised by his granny, and he says that she introduced him to Christ when he was a very young boy. There was always gospel music being played in the house and he remembers her always praying.

Chadleigh says that seeing his granny praying night and day must have rubbed off on him. One day a church outreach program came to his area, and he says that what was taught made him decide to follow Jesus.

The message was that everyone must account for their own salvation.

What is taking place in your life today since you gave your life to the lord?

Chadleigh says that he has developed a hunger for God’s word. He says that he is one of those children who grew up without a father and this made him question his worth.

When he gave his life to God, he was told that God is his father. Upon making the decision to follow Christ, he felt the love of God encompass him, a fatherly love.

He says that he needed to make the decision to follow Christ as a child because it gave him the comfort and security he needed. Chadleigh says that he now has a beautiful relationship with his earthly father.

What is God doing in your life today?

Whenever he gets the chance to minister to people about how good God has been and how He has set him free, he does it wholeheartedly. Today he says he is a present father to his son and that it is only through God’s grace. He also serves in the musical ministry.

Very soon Chadleigh will be hosting a gospel event featuring many well-known gospel artists.

A word of encouragement from Chadleigh:

“When I look back over my life and I I see what the Lord has done for me I can only give God all the glory and all the praise because what he's done for me is so amazing.

If I look back at my life now then I realize, what I went through and what I'm still going through, and every challenge that I face, there is purpose to everything.

There is a test to everything and out of that test comes a testimony and with that testimony you can save lives you encourage people; you can be a blessing. I like to call myself blessed to be a blessing.

So, whenever I get an opportunity and I share the good news of God I regard that as being a blessing to the next person. So, it's all about understanding the purpose for your life, the purpose for your journey and where you are heading.

There is great things on the way for you and where you heading, you just have to go through all the challenges, all the hurdles.

I firmly believe there's a beautiful thing in store for you on your way to your destination, so don't be discouraged take every test and you will be pleased with a powerful testimony.

I love the scripture that says they overcame by the power of the blood and by the word of their testimony. God is going to use you mightily, God wants to use you like never before, you just to be available and keep the faith.”

Testimony of Joy Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

2 August 2023

How was your life and your household like before you got saved?

Joy says that she grew up in a broken home with an alcoholic father who was verbally abusive. She says that her mom was constantly working, and her one brother was a heroine addict and the other declared mentally ill.

She always felt alone and because her mom had many things to deal with, a lot of pressure was put on her. As the older sibling she took the role of a parent which caused her to isolate herself. She explains that as a result of everything, she believed she had depression and social anxiety.

How did you end up changing?

At the age of fourteen Joy’s life changed. She and a friend of hers started attending church frequently. At church she learned how to cope with life. Going to church taught her to trust God and to pray through difficult times.

What is God doing in your life today?

God has given her the privilege to teach her own children how to live their lives in and through Him. Joy also helps to teach the message of Christ to other young children at church and God is shaping her to be a godly wife, which was something that she never as a child.

A word of encouragement form Joy:

“A word of encouragement to those who are being raised in broken homes and only as adults learning who they really are. No matter who you are, no matter where you are, no matter what time it is, just pray and try your best to have a relationship with God.

Because it is only through God where we will learn to be who we are. Who we really are, and not who the devil says we are. Who we are in Christ and not who the world says we are”

Testimony of Isaiah HendricksJuly 27, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson

26 July 2023

How was your life and your household like before you came to know the lord?

Isaiah says that he grew up in a broken household. His mother was on drugs and his dad was doing his “own” things.

How did you end up changing?

Isaiah says that on the morning of his grandfather’s funeral he felt something. He remembers his exact words to his dad. He said:

“Hey dad, I don’t know what I am feeling but I want give my life to the lord.”His dad then led him to saying the sinner’s prayer. Isaiah said that he just felt overwhelmed and broke down in tears and felt the freedom of God.

What is God doing in your life today?

God is using Isaiah both at work and in church. He says that he also recently started a podcast called Behind the story, where he interviews individuals on sharing their story to bring God glory.

The podcast can be found on YouTube when searching behind the story podcast. Isaiah can also be contacted on 062 970 8095.

A word of encouragement from Isaiah:

“If you are in a broken household and you don't know the answer and you are struggling.

I just want to let you know that just don't get weary of doing good. Don’t get weary in this season because in due time you will reap a harvest and just remember God has a plan.In Jeremiah 29 vs11 it says that God has plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.

So it might not look rosy now, like I was in that household and it didn't look like it was but eventually God came and stepped in at the right time and saved my family.

I just want to encourage you, God will step in at the right time and He will save your family and turn your situation around and I just want to let you know that there is hope and freedom in Jesus Christ.

Courtney Jackson TestimonyJuly 23, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Testimony of Courtney

Interviewed by Pastor Dre Henderson19 July 2023

How was your life like before you got saved?Testimony of God's Grace. Courtney says that the life he lived before Christ saved him, was messed up. He says that many times he had made decisions that hurt other people.

At the age of thirteen, he was introduced to drugs. He says that he tried drugs as a result of peer pressure. He only realized now that the enemy intended to steal his joy.

At age seventeen, he tried heroine and was bound to the drug for eleven long years. How did you end up changing?Courtney says that he knows that his decision to change was God orchestrated. One day he had met an old friend that he used to smoke with.

His friend had said that he wanted to change and go to rehab but before he does that, he wanted to have his last hit of drugs. He told his friend that he wants to go with. They went together but there was no space at the rehab for one more person, however, they referred him to Victory Outreach Recovery Home.

The very next day on the 19th of January 2012, he entered the Victory Outreach Recovery Home, on the same night, he gave his life to the Lord. Courtney explains that it was two days later, while he was kicking his addiction, when God baptized him in His Holy Spirit. While he was fighting his addiction, he burst out into tongues and God filled him with His spirit. God’s holy spirit was manifesting on his life that night.

That's how God was cleaning him and that's how he came to know God and how his life changed.”What is God doing in your life today?God is really making a statement with his life. He says he cannot believe how far God has brought him. He always just thought, once a drug addict always a drug addict.

Courtney believes that God uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, which is what God has done for him and many others.Today Keegan serves as a leader in Victory Outreach Mitchell’s Plain. He is also involved in the youth ministry where he spreads the gospel of Christ to help our generation know about God.

A word of encouragement form Courtney:“There are so many people that are bound to the things of this world. Living a life without purpose, without direction. I know of many that are still standing on the same corner that I was standing

.Many still sitting on that same Pelapos that I was sitting in. I want to let somebody know, if you still have the breath in your lungs and the strength in your bones to stand up there where you are at right now then I want to let you know that God is not done with you yet. Inside of you, you still plan for more. Whatever you're planning for, whatever you’re striving for, it's got nothing compared to what God has called you for.You are called despite your situation right now.

The Bible says that before you were formed in your mother's womb, God knew you. Jeremiah says that I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not plans to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.I want to let you know that no matter what lie the enemy is telling you right now.

The truth of God's word will prevail when you say yes to the Lord. I want to encourage someone, it's not the end of you. What you are bound to, it's not the end of you.

You see what whatever you are fighting right now it's not the end of you. God has more in store for your life. Just begin to cry out upon the name of Jesus and he will surely answer.”

Keegan and Layla February Testimony

Interviewed by Sister Cindy & Pastor Champ Flores

12 July 2023

What was your lives like prior to making the decision to follow Christ?

Keegan says that his life before coming to know Christ was a life where he was addicted to drugs and alcohol, and he was consumed by a lustful spirit. He did not realize how those habits had influenced his behavior.

Keegan says he even hit his wife and felt so guilty; he did not know if he would ever come back from that.Layla says that life for her was also not easy, she endured endless nights of crying as she did not have a present husband.

What made you decide to follow Christ?

Keegan says that he and his wife were going through a troubling time and at a point in time, they decided to get divorced. He says it felt as if there was a dark cloud over their marriage because they were constantly at one another’s throats, arguing.

Layla says these circumstances are what led them to their decision to follow Christ.

How has being connected to church and ministry helped you?

Layla elaborated by saying that when she and her husband attended Victory Outreach for the very first time, it was awesome. They left feeling different and immediately knew that, that was where they belonged.Keegan describes them attending church as ‘life-changing.

He says they felt restored, and both became hungry for the presence of God. Keegan and Layla say their relationship with God grew deeper when they attended a Life Group in their area.
What advice would you offer to someone who wishes to have a relationship with God?“

I want to encourage anyone that is listening to get connected. All you need to do is to take that first step. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.

Come to Him and ask for forgiveness and experience His amazing grace. Maybe you do not have a church you attend and would like to start attending; come to Victory Outreach Cape Town. If you are in Bonteheuwel, we have Life Group sessions every Tuesday.”

Testimony of Gabriel Edwards
July 6, 2023

5 July 2023

Gabriel describes his life before he got saved, as a total disaster. He says his life was either headed for death or imprisonment. He felt like he had no future. He struggled with his identity, but when he found Christ, God restored his life and gave him purpose.

When Gabriel had an encounter with God, that is when he really changed. He says that there were so many times where he thought he knew what he should do but, in the end, it never worked, he needed the power of God to change him. People tried to change him or push him towards change, but he had to decide that he wanted it for himself.
Today God is molding him and preparing him for a great assignment and that is to do hiswork and make a difference in the lives of people. He feels blessed to be part of a ministry that helps restore people from any walk of life. He says that he serves because he knows that if God can do it for him then surely, he can do it for anyone in need.

“At this moment I just want to let you know that it is not by accident that you have tuned into this radio frequency at this moment and time but I believe that God has set up a divine appointment so you can have your encounter. If I can encourage you, I'd like to let you know that you are alone.

The enemy wants to always get us to a place of isolation and wants us to feel that God has rejected us. Oh, I remember when I was in my darkest and I felt like no one was there but trust me God was there, carrying me and sustaining me.It doesn’t matter what you are going through, it might seem impossible, might seem like the clouds are all grey and that you’re in the midst of the storm, but I believe that your sun will shine again.

Joy will be your portion. If God could do it for me and change my life and turn it around… Today, I can speak to you and encourage you and tell you there's hope and it’s not because of what I've heard but because of what I know. I believe that God will do the same for you.”

Christian Rap Music | Powerful Testimony of God’s GraceJune 29, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

Check out this power Testimony of Bradley Little and how he is using his gift to produce Christan Rap Music.28 June 2023Before coming to know Christ, Bradley says he was lost.

He was just a kid who wanted to play sports and his life veered off. He says his parents divorced when he was a young boy. His dad was a drug addict who was sent to prison when Bradley was only 11 years old.He was hurt and started to make poor choices.

At the age of 13 he had his first case. At 18 years old he was sent to prison and later joined a prison gang. He was homeless and lost himself. He says life before Christ was not nice.“Well, I changed, and it was it was through Victory Outreach honestly.

It was one flyer that changed my life but to be honest it wasn't an overnight change, it took work, it took commitment, faithfulness, God's miracle working power. And I needed help I needed a lot of help; I had symptoms of PTSD from knife fights in prison and I didn't know how to get help with that stuff.

I thought flashbacks and stuff only happened in the movies but those are just some of the things I was experiencing.I was broken hearted, just mad at the world. I even had a chance to pursue my dream and play baseball later after I had was released and that didn't work out due to injury and stuff but now, I see that God just had a bigger plan.

He had a better plan for my life so I can say proudly today that I'm doing my best life ever I have the privilege of serving here in Cape Town as a full time missionary. I’m a bible college graduate and it's just no limits to where God can take me, I’m extremely blessed.”Today he is in the ministry of rap.

He says rap is a strategic and cutting-edge way to get the youth interested in Christ. He serves as a missionary in Cape Town, coming from North California in the USA.\
Bradley encourages by saying that you should “Get next to somebody, get connected.

If you can dance, if you sing, if you if you can draw, if you're into artwork, if you can write music, if you can act or write plays and write scripts.

God has placed a gifting in each one of us and I believe it's up to us to identify those things or get next to a leader that can help identify those things and help develop those things and cultivate those things so we can maximize our effectiveness for Christ.Keep connected, pray for it, seek the Lord and ask him to reveal those things.

If you are not sure already then put those things into use because the enemy tries to sway us and tries to keep us from operating in our power spot.I did that for too many years, and I want to break that I want to help get people realize their potential.

No matter what age group you are. You still have something to offer to the Lord and, for sure, just go for it.I come against anything trying to distract you or hold you from where you need to be, at your fullest potential, in the name of Jesus.”

Kirsten says that before he came to know God he was, Messed up from the chest up. He was caught up in all the wrong things.

He was part of a gang, and everything associated with gangsterism.Kirsten says that while he was working for a retail store, he had stolen many items from the shop and on one occasion he was caught.

The Head of the department at work, called the police, and he confided in her by saying that he wants to change. The woman referred him to a place called Victory Outreach.
This woman who was meant to send him to prison, was the one who helped him to come to Jesus.Today Kirsten is currently enrolled in a live-in bible school called The Urban Training Centre (UTC), where he is equipping himself with biblical principles.“Do not give up you know, in the time of darkness there's only one man who can help and his name is Jesus.

Call out to Jesus and he will show up. Not your neighbor, not even your parents can help you, not the prison system. Nothing can help you but only the name of Jesus. My encouragement is for you to cry out to the Lord .”

14 June 2023 Kulvinder’s life was very different before she came to know Christ.

She was born in India and raised in Canada. She says she was raised in a very oppressive way; she was very sheltered and had an arranged marriage at the age of 18.

At age 26 she ran away with an ex-mafia member because she was tired of the abuse and a few years later she ended up in prison. It was in prison where she found God.
Victory Outreach played a huge part in Kulvinder coming to God. She says that becoming a Christian was not easy because at the time she was a single mother to six children and was facing possible deportation.

After visiting a church in Seattle, she got involved in ministry, from there she met her husband and now she oversees ministries and she and her husband help other married couples.Currently Kulvinder and her husband oversee a 12-step support group every Monday at 7pm for an hour.

Every step has a scripture associated with it.The program is a vital part of the Men’s support as they are there every week, and the program is available for anyone. Some people only stop by once and others continue the session until completion, but Kulvinder says that she knows God still moves regardless of the number of times a person attends.

The marriage ministry is held once a month, it is also based on The word where couples get to connect and talk about struggles they may be facing.“I was to tell anybody anything somebody that was in my shoes anything, I would tell them to be persistent, relentless and allow God to move in their life not be in such a rush. Everybody's timing is different.

I have experienced living in mansions, I grew up and my family was really really wealthy but then also, I also experienced homelessness and lived in a shelter, lived with other and currently you know, we own two homes and life is good but I never let myself forget the struggles God's word says and my life has exemplified that if we are faithful with little that God will be faithful to us with much.

so yes, I can encourage you by saying; just keep pressing on and keep allowing God to move in your life and it all starts with prayer.”

Testimony of Mathodi June 6, 2023 by cmcbeats@yahoo.com

31 May 2023 Mathodi got saved at the age of 20. Before she gave her life to God, she describes her life as a typical teenage girl who grew up in the township of Gugulethu.

She says her life took a steep turn after the passing of her father because her mom battled through depression as she feared being a single parent. Her mom was also severely pressured with things concerning the family.

Mathodi said that she then began to look for love and comfort in the wrong places and started experimenting with alcohol, she however still remembers feeling empty. She says she called out to God at the age of 20 and saw how her life changed for the better.
Mathodi came to Christ with the help of her husband, who was her boyfriend at the time. He had backslid and that had messed with him because he had wanted to come back to God.

He said he was going to church and Mathodi decided to join. She says she went with the intention of not wanting anything to happen, but she did however encounter God that day.

She says she had to admit that she was tired of living the way she was and wanted to be a better mother to her child. She got saved that night and never looked back.

Mathodi and her family has been actively involved in ministering through the various Life Groups. At the Life Groups in Langa and Gugulethu, people from the community come together and can expect to be encouraged by the word of God.“

I would like to encourage every young person out there that is searching. We can search and search, but there is that authentic love, fulfillment and the destiny that only God can give you. Because He created you, He is the one that knows what is destined for you.

He will make things fit like a puzzle but at the right time. You must however trust Him. Its an amazing journey, although its not always easy but its worth it.

Trust Him as a Father and Friend. There’s so much joy in knowing God. And there’s so much fulfillment in knowing who you are in God.

Nothing else will satisfy. God loves you. There is hope for your life.”

Testimony of Mpumelelo 24 May 2023

Before Mpumelelo came to know Christ, he says he used to drink alcohol and party. He feels that he lived a life without purpose and of no significance.

His life felt like a continuous cycle with things continuing to be the same as they always were.

He describes his life as a mess. Mpumelelo ended up changing when a friend of his started testifying to him.

His friend told him that God has a plan for his life and that Jesus died on a cross to save us all.

His friend said that deliverance is possible with God and that he does not have to remain the same. Soon after that encounter with his friend he joined him at church.

At the church he got saved and professed the sinner’s prayer. Mpumelelo says that one encounter with God changed his life forever.

Today Mpumelelo shares the love of Jesus Christ, by witnessing to people in his community in Gugulethu and in Philippi. He says he does this so that others can come to realis that God can change their lives just like his was saved. It’s just that we need to accept Jesus into our lives.

Mpumelelo is about to help launch a new life group. The launch will be taking place at the Langa Civic Hall. He is blessed to share the hope of the gospel in various communities. “Maybe you finding yourself in a place where you have no hope or you find yourself in the same place where I was in.

Where you are drinking alcohol, you are just in a place where you are living a life without a purpose. Or a life without significance. I want to tell you that there is hope for your life.

You can just come to know Jesus as your Lord and savior, if you would just accept what Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross. I want to tell you can be changed.

You can see your life being changed and you can be a brand-new person. Through Jesus Christ there is still hope for your life. If you are around Gugulethu, you can come to one of our life groups at NYC 134 #58 or NYC 50 #55.

Just come and you will hear what God can do in your life and he can give you a life that is full of purpose. There's hope for your life in Jesus and there's nothing that Jesus Christ cannot do.

Testimony of Noli 17 May 2023

Noli says that prior to being saved he feels like he was just lost and confused about who he was.

His father was in the navy, so he moved a lot. After his father retired, he and his family settled in Hawaii, where he spent most of his life.

He was looking for a place to fit in and ended up smoking meth, and says he made a mess of his life and had to leave Hawaii.

His addiction to meth lasted for just over 10 years.

He ended up changing in 2017. Noli’s mom met someone from Victory Outreach. She then persuaded Noli to listen to the man from the church. He then eventually got saved when he encountered the holy spirit.

Today Noli is in full time ministry. He is a leader in the Recovery Home. God is using him to reach his family and to bring in young adults.

He is excited to share his testimony with others who is just like he was. He has been saved for six years now and just looks forward to what God still has in store for him.

Noli encourages those who may be living the same life he once did by telling them to stop running. He says if you know that what you’re doing is not right, just surrender, because if there is anything that he can confidently say it’s that the sooner you surrender, the sooner you’re no longer in denial.
He wishes he surrendered to God much sooner because being in Christ has served him well.

Testimony of Thina 10 May 2023

Thina describes his life before coming to know Christ, as dark and painful.

At the age of 12, he started experimenting with various things. He says that the experimenting eventually resulted in him roaming the streets and abusing alcohol. He says that his life was no longer his own and that the moment he had given in to the worldly things, something felt wrong with his life.

However, three years ago he called upon the name of Jesus and God gave him a second chance to live his life according to God’s will. Thina’s journey that led him to change, began when his mom’s friend had informed her about a free Christian rehabilitation centre that her son had went to.

She spoke about the great miracles God has performed in his life and the changes that happened in his life as a result. Thina says that he and his mother immediately started looking for more information about this place.

They found out that the church is in Goodwood and that they host a support group every Wednesday.

Thina went the very next week and God touched his life and his journey to being substance abuse- free then began. He says he felt the light of God shine through him and great changes started to happen in his life.

God is using Thina’s life miraculously. He is actively involved in the ministry and finds joy in reaching people for God. He is grateful to God for where he is in life, to be able to do for others what was done for him.

He says he is radical for Jesus and together with other young people, has joined a movement called the Thirdwave Navy, whereby the youth all over the world, showcase their talent to reach people for Christ.

“If there’s anyone out there who is in the same shoes I was in I’d like to tell you to keep the faith strong. Hang tight. Hold on. The Lord is on his way. Rain is coming.

Stay in your word. Believe more. I know that what the Lord has done in my life, He can surely do for you and your family. Just accept the Lord as your saviour. It comes with restoration. I guarantee you all will go well. He will take full charge of your life and will lead you in many ways.

Your career, and all aspects of your life. Remember the Lord has a plan for you. He will never forsake you.”

Testimony of Lisakhanya Luphuwana. 3 May 2023

Before coming to know Christ, Lisakhanya says that his life was messed up. He says he used to rob ordinary people on the street, even people he knew.He used to also sell drugs on the streets, and he formed part of a gang.

While he was part of this gang he was constantly fighting on behalf of his gang. He says that he felt so useless because he was a disappointment to his family who had hope for him.
He remembers abusing drugs with his friends under bridges and in the slum.

He felt Satan grab a hold of his life which led him to give up on himself.Lisakhanya decided to change his life when his family had told him that he had to leave the house and fend for himself.

He thus had nowhere to go.He then met a pastor who helped people who were homeless. The pastor had then introduced him to a young man who was in the same position he had been and who has a passion for helping the youth.

Lisakhanya says that he had felt at peace with sharing his thoughts as the young man had a similar testimony to him.

He then enrolled in the Mens Victory Home where God transformed him completely.

Today Lisakhanya has confidence he never thought he possessed. He preaches and testifies about the goodness of God upon his life, similarly, he encourages others that God can meet them at their point of need as well.

He now frequents the Home where he once was and encourages the men to persevere.“To the lost soul, lost brother, or woman of God, I would like to encourage you that we are running a race with different pages.

I believe that if I can make it then anyone can.I pray and know that the generation of today is going to be a great generation; where we will find ourselves reaching the lost and bound for Jesus Christ.

There is a plan and purpose for your life, just call upon the name of Jesus. Jesus will change your life.”

Testimony of Ridwhaan.

Powerful Testimony of the life changing Power of Jesus Christ.

26 April 2023

Ridwhaan says that not too long ago, he was a messed-up man with no purpose and no direction. He says he was hopeless and had no self-respect.

His family was involved in criminal activities and thus he was exposed to various things. He says his father encouraged him to be involved in criminal activities, which sparked his love for crime.
He says he would do anything for money and that he was in such a dark place where murder was always on his mind.In 2017 he had nowhere to go.

He grew up moslem, so he turned to his moulana, which is a moslem priest. He had asked the moulana to help him get into a rehab as he had a desire to change but he was not helped.

Soon thereafter he had heard about Victory Outreach, but he was skeptical of going to aChristian drug institution. He however went to sit in on one of the support groups on a Tuesday and there he heard many testimonies of how God can change people’s life.

He went into the Mens Recovery home and slowly he started to change. He gave his life to God and witnessed how God restored everything to him.

Today he serves in the church at Victory Outreach Johannesburg. He is currently doing biblical studies and wants to eventually teach it.

Thereafter he wants to obtain his bachelor’s degree and get his doctorate in Theology so that he can use the gift God has given him.

“I want to encourage someone who is going through trials and tribulation, who has a drug addict in their home or someone who feels hopeless.

There is hope in Jesus. Hang in there.Don’t give up. Keep pushing. Keep fighting. Stay strong. Never give up. In the book of Isaiah 1vs 13 it reads, So do not fear because I am with you.

Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your hand and says, “Do not fear, I will help you”.

” The God we serve is a God of miracles. Don’t give up on your loved ones. There is hope. God set me free. I live my life for God. God has given me new friends who I call family.”

estimony of Dawntaya Cooley. 12 April 2023

Before Dawntaya got saved, her focus was aimed on school, she says she did not consider God in her life at the time. Her future success was the only thing she cared about.Dawntaya’s life changed when her mother decided to enroll her into the Urban Training Centre.

The Urban Training Centre (UTC) is a bible-based christian institution aimed at the youth which aids in molding and shaping future leaders for the call of God.Victory Outreach has several Training Centre’s, internationally.

Dawntaya says she was not aware that her mother had planned to enroll her but after two months of being in the UTC she surrendered her life to Christ and looking back she is grateful to her mother for nudging her in the right direction.God is using Dawntaya in a powerful way.

She has been privileged to have been able to serve in her local church as staff in the UTC and then in the Women’s Recovery Home in the USA. Currently, she and her husband serve as missionaries in Johannesburg South Africa.

She says she feels grateful to be able to assist in the ministry whenever or for whatever is needed, from admin to worship.

She feels blessed to be in the will of God.Dawntaya’s encouragement to someone who might be experiencing what she did is: “Stop running from the call of God.

Completely surrender.I recall that one of the reasons I did not want to get saved was because I was always afraid that I would backslide.

Growing up in church I would see so many people come and go and I did not want to do that. I did not want to be that person.

I wanted to completely surrender to the Lord when I was ready, which is why I did not get saved but I was leaning on my own understanding.

Surrender your life and plans unto Him, He will blow your mind.Let Him use your life the way He wants to use it. Let Him plan your path.

Don’t lean on your own understanding. You will be surprised with what He does in and through your life.”

Testimony of Reggie Cooley Jr. 5 April 2023

Reggie gave his life to the Lord when he was 19 years old. After finishing school all he wanted was to be successful according to the worlds’ standards.

He enrolled himself into a college and studied Mechanic engineering. He ended up living on campus residency. His focus shifted when he got involved with the wrong crowd eventully all he cared about was partying and endulging in sin.

Reggie’s life changed when he went to a Victory Outreach GANG convention, a year after enrolling into college.

His dad paid for his ticket, but he remembers not wanting to go because he knew God was going to do something in his life and he did not want to change.

At the time, in his mind he was fine, but he ended up going anyway. At the convention he felt the call of God and went up for the alter call. Soon after, he went to the UTC, there God shaped him and prepared him for his calling.

Since giving his life to God, Reggie has been fortunate to travel the world. He also re-enrolled into a different college and graduated with his bachelors in Christian ministry. He met his wife in the church and they have two boys and his wife is currently pregnant with a girl.

He and his wife now serve the lord in a country halfway across the world from where he is from, in Johannesburg South Africa.
He and his family are grateful for how God is using them and they look forward to all that God has planned for their lives. “ To anyone out there who may be going through the same things I did, it could be regarding going to school or misusing alcohol or even secular success. The word of God says to love the Lord with all your heart, with all your strength and with all your soul but it also states <

Are you searching the internet for Family Restoration? You need to check out this powerful Testimony of The Wolfaardt family.15 March 2023
Before coming to know the Lord the Wolfaardt family says that their lives were very different. To the Wolfaardt children, it was all about partying and fitting in.

They were looking for love in the wrong places. On the 5th of March 2021 the Wolfaardt family son, Marlon, nearly took his own life, by almost committing suicide.

Coming to know about Christ brought them to Victory Outreach. The mother of the Wolfaardt family, Mouline, was inspired by hearing how the power of Jesus was able to change people.

She had heard testimonies when she listened to The Rise Up Radio Segment on CCFM on a Wednesday.

She then reached out to the church via Facebook.Soon thereafter their younger son Marlin and his sister Charmonay attended church at Victory Outreach, and it was there where they encountered the presence of God.

God embraced and spoke to their heart and reminded them of their purpose. His salvation has birthed a new fire within their family and with the support of the extended family of God they remain in awe of God.Currently Marlon is allowing God to use his life in ministry.

Marlon says that he struggled when he was in high school and that is why he is now involved with a ministry called High School Impact (HSI) which reaches teenagers by sharing the gospel.

Natalie is also currently involved in the HSI ministry. She says she chose this ministry because it allows her to share her experiences with the youth.

She builds a bond with them to lets them know that getting to know God can be fun.“As ‘n moeder wil ek vir al moeders bemoedig, moet nooit opgee jou kind nie.

Al lyk dinge vir jou hoe onmoontlik. Hoe donker, hou aan bid vir jou kind en hou aan liefde wys vir jou kind.” – Mouline“

As ‘n vader wil ek ook alle vaders bemoedig, hou jou oe oop en op die Here. Die bybel se dat Hy sal ons nooit verlaat nie. Hou aan bid en wees lief vir u kinders.” – Clive“

If you have lost someone you love and you feel alone, don’t look for love in the wrong places. God is love. Turn to Him.” – Natalie

“Trust God, no matter how bad things look. Support people who need it, don’t just give advice but walk the road with them. But most of all, put your trust in God.” – Charmonay

“I just want to encourage the broken person. Jesus is standing with open arms, ready to receive you. Just call on his name.” – Marlon

Are you searching the internet for Drug Addiction Treatment Centers, then you have come to the right blog.

Here is a powerful testimony of Chealsea Ramsey whose life was changed, from a life of drug addiction.

If you would like to read more Powerful Life changing Testimonies, you can click here.

Testimony of Chelsea Ramsey8 March 2023
Chelsea describes her life before knowing Christ as that of a ‘rollercoaster ride’.

She had a good childhood and grew up in a Christian household with many of her family members being pastors. She says she grew up knowing about God but did not know God.

She says it was more of a religion at the time and not a relationship. During her teenage years she began to party because she was curious.

She started drinking alcohol at the age of 15 and eventually turned to drugs and became an addict, addicted to meth. She says she felt like she had no purpose and she seriously considered suicide. She landed up in prison and part of many programs aimed at helping her.

In her mind she thought she would amount to nothing and remain hopeless. She says she reached a point of desperation and simply had to turn to God.Chelsea ended up changing when she herself made the choice to change instead of her family constantly pushing her to change.

For a long time, she was looking to change by spending lots of money on rehabs. Nothing worked for her until her mom’s colleague told her about a ministry called Victory Outreach where there’s a free live-in program that helps addicts recover.

On 15 October 2012 she went into the recovery home in San Jose (USA) and gave her life to God. She says choosing to go into the recovery home was one of the best decisions she could have made.

It was there where she learned that God had a calling placed on her life and that she was not called to be broken but that she had purpose.

She would be a missionary. She held onto this promise when the enemy started to try to get her down. She changed when she was open to receiving God and surrendered to Him.

Today God is using Chelsea’s life. She serves as a missionary in Cape Town South Africa where she serves as the Women’s Home director.

“It is such a privilege to be used by God, not only did He save me, but He is using my life to help other women be set free through the power of God.”

“If God could do it for me, He can certainly do it for you. Nothing is impossible for God. He can do exceedingly, abundantly, more than you could ever ask or imagine.

I know that He’s still able to make a way for the drug addict, for the broken-hearted and the one who feels that they don’t want to live anymore. We serve an able God.Cry out to God.

matter what you’re going through in life, God is always there, listening. He listens to you no matter what you’re currently facing. He can hear you in your darkest seasons.”

Testimony of John Niegaardt – What a powerful testimony of God's love
1 March 2023

For 13 years John was addicted to drugs and involved in gangsterism. He was addicted to meth and mandrax. He says that as an addict he was willing to and did anything to support his habit.

At the age of 17 John’s father passed away, he took this very hard because his dad was a role model to him.

After losing his father he went astray. He involved himself with a gang and had to do things that he is ashamed of, to fit in.

He had a few robbery and theft cases against his name and eventually he landed himself in prison. After being released from jail he had nowhere to go, his family turned their back on him which forced him to be homeless and alone.

He did not want to return to the gang which caused many problems for him as his life was under threat. He remembers nearly being killed execution style and during that encounter a small voice told him to run and never look back.

John found himself facing a 7-to-10-year life sentence. He had nowhere to go. In this time, he realised that he had to change or spend the rest of his life in prison.

He went to Victory Outreach church and had an encounter with God. He then surrendered his life to Christ and says that his life has never been the same since making that choice.

John is currently in the Victory Home where God is healing him from his addiction. He says that he is also learning how to spread the message of hope by telling people about the plan of Jesus Christ.

He has been involved in evangelisms and dramas and has started to write his own gospel rap songs. He is also a part of the worship team in church.

“I just want to encourage somebody who finds themselves doing drugs or addicted to it. You do not have to live life that way. There is a way out.

The way is called Jesus Christ.Give your life to God and He will set you free and give you peace that surpasses anything you could ever imagine.

If He did it for me, someone who was completely hopeless, then He can do it for you. God bless.”For more information about our church, go to our website at:www.vocapetown.net

Marco grew up with a mother who was an addict and a father who was a gangster. God used Victory Outreach to help his parents in their journey to salvation and deliverance.

Marco explains that he always knew that God had called his family to himself but despite him knowing this, he still pursued everything but God.He wanted everything he did not have growing up and in seeking that, he started to party and do crazy things which caused him to lose himself.

Marco clearly remembers the day he changed and came to know God.He says he was listening to rap artists and all of a sudden, a video appeared on YouTube with the preacher saying, ‘God is still calling you, you will never be happy if you run from God’s calling.

’He had already known that he was called by God and just began to cry and ran upstairs to his dad.

His dad done the sinners prayer with him, he immediately got rid of all the drugs and alcohol he had.

He says that he even called his girlfriend to break up with her because he wanted nothing holding him back from finding out what God had for him.Today God is using Marco’s life.

He serves as a missionary in South Africa where he reaches out to young adults and students that might need help in finding Jesus.

“God hasn’t changed his mind about you. No matter what you’ve done. No matter how far you feel yourself drifting away from God, He is waiting for you to give him a chance to change your mind.

Testimony of Pastor John Louw15 February 2023
John grew up in a good household. His father was a preacher who served the Lord faithfully and his mother supported his father and served the Lord joyfully as well.

He done well in school and was an accomplished rugby player who represented his province.Unfortunately, he injured his arm and could no longer play professionally and that’s when his focus shifted, and he hung out with the wrong crowd.

He was introduced to a different style of music and started to idolize the rappers and wanted to imitate them.He thought to himself that the only way he could achieve what they had was if he sold drugs. Soon after that he found himself involved in gangsterism.

There came a season in John’s life where things spiraled out of his control. Many of his friends started to die or went to prison.

There was a crying on the inside of his heart that he believes only God could hear.He was looking for a way out, crying out to God to make a way so that he can be freed from his lifestyle at the time.

God made a way for him to go to Cape Town and enter the Recovery Home. It is there where God transformed his life and revealed the purpose He had for John.

Today John serves as a missionary in Port Elizabeth. He feels blessed to be back in the city he grew up in.He further goes on to say: “I am privileged to be in the city where I tore families apart, where I broke down lives and where I hurt many people.

But I thank God that He is using my life to do the exact opposite.Today I am bringing hope to the people. A message of hope to those who are broken and think that they don’t have a purpose in life.

I am just honestly grateful to be serving in the kingdom of God.”John’s encouragement to anyone who is currently at a place in their life where they feel useless and stuck is to not give up.

“You don’t have to die a drug addict, because there is a God that loves you and cares about you deeply.”He always thought he would die in drugs, die a gang member, die on the streets but God had a plan for his life.

“God saved my life. For fifteen years I thought I was going to die on the streets, but God had great mercy on me and that same God – Jesus, can change your life. There is hope in Jesus.”
You can donate to Victory Outreach Today.

Yes, I would like to donate.

Testimony of Pastor Cesar Portillo8 February 2023
Before Pastor Cesar came to know Christ, his life was crazy and dark. He was always chasing a high and was selling and using hardcore party drugs. He explains how fast his life had felt mainly because he was searching for something.Something more.

He attests to never finding it in the world. Though he was raised in a good family and had a decent job, he was searching for something that would last.He remembers being given a flyer to come to church and that’s where his new journey began.

“My life has been changed by God’s grace, but it did not happen overnight, it was progressive.” After receiving many flyers, he attended Christian concerts and was encouraged through preaching’s. One night after he attended a rave, he was given a flyer at 3 am in the morning.

The flyer was an invite to a drama titled Cry of the Young hosted by Victory Outreach. He ended up going and was immediately inspired by the young people who were taking a stand for Jesus. He goes on to say, “If God can change these young people, then maybe there’s hope for me.

And on that very day he gave his life to Christ. From that day I have never been the same and have seen God use my life”God has been faithful in bringing Pastor Cesar and his family to South Africa. Here he has helped churches to grow by serving as a missionary.

He is now based in Port Elizabeth where God uses his life to help people get restored and regain their dignity.

“We are believing God to do something new and big in the City of Port Elizabeth.”“I really believe that it’s God’s time for some people to change.

I was a young man who was heartbroken, addicted and suicidal but there comes a time when you find a pulling, an urge that says There has to be something else for my life. That is called God’s orchestrated time for your life.

I want you to know that no matter how much you try to ignore it it’s going to get stronger. No matter how much you try to flood it with drugs it’s gonna get deeper. So, I want to let you know all you gotta do is surrender. Come to God broken.

You don’t have to be changed, I came to God high on drugs and God still changed my life. Today I am still serving God.I have seen God continue to save others as he has saved me. If He can do it for me, He can do it for you.

Testimony of Nathan Charles 1 February 2023

Nathan says that the life he lived before knowing Christ was a messed up one in which he had no purpose. Even before entering high school, he was already drinking and smoking dagga.

It was in high school where he formed part of a group and started using hard drugs like tik, heroine and mandrakes. By the age of twenty he was messed up and homeless, having no purpose, hope and direction.

He explains that he simply did not know how to overcome his addiction. Many attempted but failed in helping him because his focus was just to obtain his next hit.

“I remember I got locked up for the weekend, came out the Monday and went home. My parents did not want me to come into the house, so I sat in front of the door.

I then heard people coming down, making a noise, and started to testify about Jesus and I can remember my mom coming saying, you need to listen to this, and those people started to evangelize and minister.

One of my friends that is now the pastors wife in Wynberg, sister Crystal, was in the recovery home. She told me about the recovery home at Victory Outreach and I was then able to go in.

God changed my life there and set me free from my addiction. God is currently using Nathan at Victory Outreach Johannesburg. He moved his family to Johannesburg to serve as a missionary.

He has been there for eight years. He has a passion for the youth, and he enjoys encouraging and motivating them to be all God has called them to be.

“I want to encourage someone to never give up. When all hope felt like it was gone for me, I went into the recovery home and was delivered from drugs. Never give up, never push the drug addict aside, never push the hurting aside.

God has a plan for their lives. And to the moms and dads, continue to pray for them and be by their side and help to get into a place like the recovery home, where God himself can restore them.”

For ten years Shagan had been enslaved to drugs and a life of crime. He feels like it was ten years of his life that simply went to waste. He describes himself as being broken from the inside out.

He was a menace to society and always up to no good, at home and on the streets. Shagan feels that his decisions during the ten years are what caused so many people to be broken because of the choices he made. He has been actively involved in crime and dealt drugs.

His past has made him insecure about his identity and made him distrustful. His father committed suicide in the year that he was born, which made him feel empty and caused him to seek approval by various people. Shagan was not happy with the person he became.

He realized that he was alienating the people who loved him. Everyone who was once there had finally given up and he was left alone. Being in and out of jail cells forced him to be alone with just his thoughts.

He remembers trying to end his life many times but fortunately God had sent a light in his path and blessed him with a son. Since the birth of his son he has found a reason to be a better person, by leading by example.

Shagan is also a proud graduate of the Victory Home where he got delivered from his addictions. He has been saved for nearly a year and remains grateful to God.

Shagan uses his gratitude to God, by serving in the church. “Put your faith and your trust in God, He will never leave you nor will He forsake you. God always makes a way.

For He is the way, the truth, and the light. If we put our faith and trust in God, He will meet us at our point of need. If you find yourself in the same situation, the same circumstances, if you are broken within you and know that you have tried everything but nothing seems to be working.

I want you to give God a try and to see what God can do in your life. God really restored me; He has redeemed me, and He has provided me with my every need. I just want us to believe and trust that there is hope for the future and faith for the present.

God has never left me, nor has He forsaken me. He is the way, the truth, and the light. I just want to encourage each one out there to pray with whatever you are facing and whatever you are going through, go on your knees and give it all to God.

God wants us to cast all our burdens unto him that He will meet us at our point of need. As our faces differ so do our needs. Let us give it all unto God and I give God all the honor and all the glory for what he has done in my life and I want to encourage someone out there to trust Him.

God bless - thank you.”

Before Ronaldo came to know Christ, he was broken and addicted to drugs for nine years.

He was a heroin addict that was in and out of rehab. He ended up dealing drugs because he was influenced by what seemed appealing. Soon thereafter he realized that dealing drugs was not for him.

When he did not measure up to the drug lord’s expectations, they threw him out to live in the streets. Before knowing Christ, he was homeless, a prisoner and rejected by his family.

He describes his life as feeling like a pit in which he could not escape, that just grew deeper until he hit rock bottom. He ended up changing when he was introduced to a man named Jesus Christ. He had always heard about Jesus, but he doubted the power of Jesus.

These circumstances made him understand that he could not do it on his own. Though there were many people he was surrounded by, he was alone until he decided to call on the name of Jesus. After deciding to follow Jesus, his life has never been the same.

Today he finds himself freed from addiction. He gives God all the glory. He is also grateful for Victory Outreach who was instrumental in his recovery from addiction.

He describes feeling a touch of God and finally feeling like he belongs.“I would like to thank God for using my life.

He could’ve chosen so many other people to use but he chose to use my life and I'm grateful that God chose to use my life. I'm a graduate of the recovery home and I find myself doing ministry in the church. I’m doing sound and media ministry at Victory Outreach Wynberg.

I'm actually from Durban but I moved, and I made a life for myself here in Cape Town. I have a job here in Cape Town that involves sound and media.

God is using my talent for the church of Wynberg which is situated at Fairmont high school. God has been faithful. I did not know I had the ability, but God found it fit to use a person like me and I'm grateful that I could be used in the ministry at church.

I am privileged to be in the kingdom of God.”Ronaldo encourages anyone who feels caught up and feels like giving up – to know that there is a man named Jesus who is able and more capable than we could ever think.

All we need to do is to call on Him, He will come through for you. He will change your life. “He has done it for me and can do even more for you.” He urges all parents who have children that are on drugs to not give up. Prayer changes things.

He believes that 2023 will be the year of answered prayers and that God will do great things in the lives of our families if we just trust Him. Testimony of Unathi Sonkwala 11 January 2023 “It is an honour to and a privilege for me to be part of this show. My name is Unathi Sonkwala, all the way from Gugulethu.

I thank God for this platform, for me to be able to share my testimony.

This is the purpose for us to be saved, to fulfil the Great Commission.

To testify and let people know that the power of the holy ghost is relevant. I pray that as you become a witness of my testimony, that you would have an open heart to receive the gospel. I am believing for breakthrough in Jesus’ name Amen.”

Unathi grew up in a family house with lots of women.

He recalls hating Father’s Day because it reminded him of how his own father left him. He felt rejected and not good enough. He did not have many male figures to look up to. He then turned to the world to look for meaning. He grew up poor and was attracted to the people who looked like they were rich and had it all together.

It was only after involving himself with those people, that he realised what the cost was to look the part. He then became a gangster like them and not long after that he became a drug addict. Going in and out of prison was a norm for Unathi.

He was on trial for three domestic violence cases. Gruesome assault. Intention to kill. And robbery. He thought he was never going to be freed. His intentions were always to gain a reputation among the gang. It was in a prison cell where God reached him.

He recalls feeling suddenly overwhelmed and having to hide while crying so as not to look weak. He challenged God to take him out of prison and the very next day the judge released him. The judge asked him if he wanted to change and released him to Victory Outreach Recovery Home.

He is still actively involved at Victory Outreach church of Cape Town. After graduating from the Recovery Home, Unathi went to the UTC which is a bible college. He then went on to direct the Recovery Home in Bloemfontein for two and a half years.

He is currently part of a team that is situated in Section 2 and 3 Gugulethu and Heinz Park in Philippi. This team encourages and uplifts the community.

Unathi’s encourages by saying, “You’re not alone.” He referred to a scripture found in the book of Ephesians 6:12. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world” he says that we should focus on using prayer as a weapon.

“No longer do we fight with our fists but with the word of God” He says that we should surround ourselves with the right people. People who will lift you up and not break you down.

“Give God a chance, I didn’t regret it and I know you won’t either.” For more information about our church, go to our website at: www.vocapetown.net * Third Wave Nights – Fridays at 19:00pm * Sunday morning service at 08:00am & 10:00am

Kyle Testimony - January 4th 2022

Testimony of Kyle Herrings4 January 2023
This is a story of a young boy who fell into the trap of addiction from the age of fourteen through nineteen years of age. Kyle expresses how different his life wasto others his age.

How instead of figuring life out through his teenage years, he was always on a mission for his next dose of drugs.Kyle’s life changed through the encouragement and prayers of people.

His sister’s life was transformed through the power of God.

She was delivered from addiction at the Women’s Victory Home in Cape Town.

When she returned to Pretoria, she would always encourage him. After years of drug abuse, his body started to give in. He was hospitalized with blood poisoning and clots in his pancreas.

He felt like he was losing his mind. He came to a point in his life where he had to decide, it was either he allow God in, or he’d die as he was.

He went into the Men’s Victory Home in Pretoria in 2014.God restored him and gave him back his dignity and a sense of belonging. He is grateful to God for keeping him all these years.

Today he serves in Victory Outreach Pretoria as the GANG (God’s Anointed Now Generation) leader, which is a student and young adult ministry. He also works with the pastoral team in establishing the church and taking it to a new level.

He enjoys helping people discover who God intended them to be.God has also blessed him with a job and has restored his relationship with his family.

“If you find yourself in a place where there’s no way out, just give Jesus a try.Maybe you’ve tried everything else, and nothing is giving you that satisfaction, nothing is giving you fulfilment – I dare you to give Jesus just one try.

Not a drug, not a pill, its only the gospel that works. Get saved and then connected to a church. God can do all things, but you must take the first step.

There is hope when you call upon the name of Jesus. The word of God says Those who call upon the name of the lord shall be saved. Just give Jesus a try.

Ulrich Testimony - December 28th 2022

Antonio grew up in a family where majority of his family was saved and serving God. His basic needs were met even though he recalls his father being an alcoholic.

His father later divorced his mother and when he got married, he felt pressured – which is when he started relying on drugs. Antonio believes that his loved one’s prayers are what preserved his life.

He hopes that his story will help someone who may find themselves where he once was. Before coming to know Christ Antonio describes his life as taking a turn for the worse after choosing drugs to cope. He thought he couldn’t handle life’s pressures and turned to drugs to fill a void.

That’s when the enemy crept in. Antonio knows that the devil took him out for a long time. He became a different person by disrespecting his wife and he neglected his children.

He became a selfish person you. For years Antonio didn't know his true self, he followed the crowd and got lost in it.He came to know Christ through one of his friends, James Olifant who is part of the ministry of Victory Outreach.

When Antonio witnessed what God had done in his friends’ life, he thought why not give “this Jesus thing” a try and see what He can do for him. Soon thereafter he decided that enough is enough and he came into the recovery home at Victory Outreach.

Since then, God, has blessed everything concerning his life.He transformed his perspective, changing the way he thinks, changing the way he talks and moves.

Antonio further explains, “and my life has never been the same you know, I've learned to be more self-less. I've learned to serve.God is doing a new thing which is a great.

He is restoring my family. It's in the Victory Home that I changed my life completely. God has been good.”God has raised Antonio up to be staff in the Victory Home.

The same Home he came into as an addict, is now the place where he helps others to overcome addiction.

Never did he ever imagine that he would find himself in a leadership position that he is in today and all the glory belongs to God.

Nobody can ever take the glory.God is using his life in such a wonderful way.

He's been faithful. He has restored Antonio’s family. His marriage and his relationship with his children. He believes that God has called him and his wife to go home and take the city of Pretoria for His honor.

Antonio was recently baptized and testifies with certainty that God has truly taken him out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.

“All those who are listening right now that can hear my voice I encourage you to trust in the Lord. All things are possible with Jesus. I never thought that I would make it this far.People turned their backs towards me.

People were talking about me, saying that I would never make it.

But God has seen it fit, He has deemed me worthy enough to be serving in his Kingdom and I would just like to say to every husband, every wife, and every child – never don't stop praying.Believe that God will turn your life around, He's a way maker He's a promise keeper and He does what he says.

To every family that is broken or is hurting that feels that there is no way out, I would just like to encourage you to take what is right there during everything that is going on regarding your circumstances.

God is always there, andHe is working it out. We all fall short of the glory, but the word says in Romans 8 verse 28 that we know that for all things God works things out for the best He causes things to work together for those who love Him and are called according to his purpose.

We can stand firm on His word that he will never leave us and that he will never forsake us. So just keep the faith. Stay strong and never stop praying.”For more information about our church, go to our website at:www.vocapetown.net* Third Wave Nights – Fridays at 19:00pm * Sunday morning service at 08:00am & 10:00am
