As Liver Transplant patients, you need be extra vigilant as you are on medications including immunosuppressive drugs. You may be at a higher risk of getting COVID-19 infection, with higher chance of complications. So, it is better to be safe, and stay healthy.

So here’s sharing some important do’s and don’ts for you:

Specific Measures:

1. Avoid hospital visits…go for online or telemedicine consultations as far as possible.

2.Take all your medications on time. No need to alter your current medications.

  1. Keep ample supply of your medications.

  2. No medication or vaccination is advised currently for prevention. No self-medication.

  3. In case of symptoms such as cough, fever, breathing difficulty, consult your transplant team doctor immediately.

  4. Eat healthy balanced diet and stay hydrated.

General Measures:

  1. Stay Indoors, Maintain social distancing (preferably 2 metres!).

  2. Use a mask.

  3. Avoid touching your face unnecessarily.

  4. Frequently wash hands with soap or alcohol-based hand wash.
