A podcast devoted to the different ways in which inspiring and successful people build routine, ritual, and consistency in their lives.
I met Rich around 2015 when I left coaching group fitness and moved my book of business to Impact Sports Performance in Central Boca. At the time, he was the head of the facility and coach to many up-and-coming tennis superstars. Early on, we butted heads a bit as we were both early risers, and he was used to being one of the only people in the gym at that hour.
What started as tension eventually turned into a genuine respect for each other’s work ethic, business mindset, and the effort it took to show up every single day. We worked alongside each other for several years, sharing that huge training space and watching countless athletes and coaches come and go. When I eventually opened my own facility, Rich couldn’t have been more supportive.
We stayed connected through social media, and one day while watching the US Open, the broadcast cut to the athletes’ training box. Sitting there stoically, locked into the match, was Rich. His athlete was battling for a spot in the finals. I snapped a photo and sent it to him with a quick message: “Congrats, man. So cool to see.” A few hours later he replied briefly as they were still on the road chasing a championship.
Over the years, I continued asking him to come on the show, but it never quite materialized. Then, a couple months into 2026, he released a public video sharing his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease. I watched the video several times and reached out to offer my support and appreciation for his honesty and vulnerability. Not long after, he agreed to come on the show.
He explained that for years he simply wasn’t ready to sit down and openly talk about coaching, sports, or life because he was privately carrying the weight of the diagnosis while trying to hide it from the world. It was exhausting. When he arrived for the interview, he was completely himself. We sat down, went over the usual guidelines; open book, nothing off limits and started talking. He shared incredible stories from years of coaching at the highest international levels of tennis and reflected on the experiences and pressures that came with it. Most importantly, he opened up honestly about living with Parkinson’s. His physical challenges, the emotional toll and the journey toward acceptance. It became one of the most heartfelt, honest, and vulnerable conversations I’ve had on the show and I truly hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed having it.
I met Juliet years ago in the sober community. She’s always been a mix of sweet, feisty, and unapologetically blunt. We shared a lot of the same circles: mutual friends, events, weddings, fellowship halls, even the gym. Life kept unfolding, and over the years we’d cross paths here and there.
Like many relationships, ours had its ups and downs. Misunderstandings eventually led to a break in communication. Still, whenever we ran into each other, it was always cordial. At the end of the day, there was never ill will, just the quiet understanding of how hard it is to watch someone struggle, especially with something as unforgiving as addiction. From the outside, Juliet’s life looked full: beautiful family, meaningful relationships, travel, fitness. But underneath, she describes it as pure hell. There was a constant effort to hold everything together on the surface while battling untreated alcoholism and addiction behind the scenes.
After years of talking about doing a podcast, we finally sat down and had the conversation. Over the past several months, Juliet has fully committed herself to change building a relationship with God, working on how she responds to life, helping other women, and sharing her journey publicly. What started on TikTok quickly grew onto Instagram, where her platform has taken off. She opens up about everything: addiction, recovery, marriage, motherhood, family, and the reality of putting your life out there inviting both support and criticism. She’s also been intentional about navigating what to share, making sure to protect her children and respect her family while still being honest.
This conversation gave us the chance to clear the air, revisit old misunderstandings, and acknowledge that sometimes outside voices can complicate things. We talked about boundaries, growth, and perspective but most importantly, about how sobriety and active recovery have transformed our lives and the lives of those around us. I’m grateful we finally had this conversation.
Please enjoy the episode. If you’d like to connect or have questions, you can reach Juliet on Instagram @thejulietsocial.
I met Dan at one of the community workouts down here in South Florida, and it didn’t take long to realize he’s an absolute fitness machine. We’d chatted a bit here and there, but after seeing the way he shares his content and shows up for the fitness community, it felt like the perfect time to bring him on the show. During our conversation, we unexpectedly connected over time spent in the Northeast, especially Vermont when Dan dropped a wild coincidence: he was actually a former student of my older brother, Dr. Rob Williams, a past guest of the Wake Up the Sun Show.
Dan and I dove into fitness trends, why so many people struggle to stay consistent, and what really gets in the way of living an active lifestyle. We also spoke about the importance of following your passions even when the people around you might not get it or might think it’s a little “cringey.” What started as Dan’s personal fitness journey in the Northeast, then took him through the Midwest, eventually led him to South Florida just over a year ago. Since then, he’s been experimenting, finding what works, and sharing that journey online to help others do the same. That authenticity has resonated, his routines have caught on, and people are starting to follow his lead.
Dan keeps it simple: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. You can find him on Instagram @healthyhabitguy. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Duke earlier this year after a buddy introduced us at a 5:15am workout. What started as me challenging him to actually show up turned into meeting one of the most viral, in-your-face personalities on social media. At first, it was all brutal ball-busting with nonstop jokes and getting roasted, but as I got to know him, I saw the guy behind the camera. He’s someone who speaks his mind without hesitation, and his story of building a platform is nothing short of incredible.
Duke grew up in the Northeast in a blue-collar area, like most young guys just trying to figure out what he loved. He worked at a bagel shop, spent time working for his buddy’s asphalt company, and rode dirt bikes and motocross whenever he could. His family was incredibly supportive, always making sure he and his brother stayed involved in things that brought them joy. When the world shut down during COVID, Duke turned the camera on himself. He started sharing his unfiltered thoughts, unsolicited opinions, and commentary on everything from everyday life to bigger societal issues. His accounts on TikTok and Instagram exploded, only to be banned and taken down for what was labeled as “inappropriate content.”
Like anyone would be, he was pissed. Something he worked hard to build was gone overnight. He stepped away for a few months, then came back six months later and started from scratch. This time, he blended his strong opinions with apparel he invested everything into, while continuing to share his passion for motocross. He rebuilt his platform from the ground up. As his following grew, so did the opportunities; cameos, paid content, and people literally paying him to roast their friends all while he continued working regular jobs on the side.
One of his biggest takeaways: become so obsessed with what you’re doing that it looks crazy to everyone else. His content never slowed down whether it was raw reactions, sharp commentary, or simple facial expressions to some of the wildest videos online. One of his earliest viral moments came from a t-shirt that read “BRING BACK BULLYING,” sparking both massive support and intense backlash. “At first, it bothered me how many people hated me and the constant negativity in the comments,” he said. But he pushed through it.
What stood out most was getting to know the real person behind the persona. He’s grounded, values family, cuts through the noise, and is focused on giving back especially helping young motocross riders gain recognition and get paid for their work. This episode had me laughing the entire time. It’s real, unfiltered, and full of perspective. We hope you enjoy the show.

I met Peter in 2013 playing poker at a mutual friends house in sobriety. It's funny when you meet people at one point in their life and then watch as everything unfold for the better.
What started out as a craigslist opportunity in the boating world sparked a greater dream of working and building "quite literally" a massive marine and seaside construction business. Peter, got sober and moved down to south florida to start over. His first job was a bike ride away from his sober living and he began working at a boat yard and observed detailing companies coming in and out making everything look nice. While he was very appreciative of the work opportunity he had always been entrepreneurial and thought, Hey, I can do that and do it better. He began biking up and down the coast passing out fliers and notes for opportunities for several months with only a couple of clients.
One afternoon he told his boss that he was going to pursue it full time and had to give it all of his attention if was going to work and took one of the biggest risks. What happened then was nothing short of miraculous and you'll have to tune in to hear how everything played out. The company is called Seaside Marine Construction; At their core, they value God, Family, and Friends, and we bring that commitment to every marine construction project. They work hard to create exceptional waterfront experiences, specializing in seawalls, docks, and boat lifts, with safety, quality, and longevity at heart. If you are in need of their services please reach out through the website https://seasidemarineconstruction.com/
Peters life is one that could be a movie. He got sober, found his passion that fuels his dream to build and help others, married an amazing woman, had two beautiful twin baby girls and employs people that are looking for their second chance. I was blessed with the opportunity to sit down and record this story as it's one of my favorites. If you are looking for work, some inspiration or just a nice guy to help maybe point you in the right direction then look no further and we hope you enjoy the show!
I met Matt last year through a mutual friend and sober brother in NYC. We had crossed paths in the community but never formally sat down or conversed until we met up for coffee and connected on sobriety, life and all things health and wellness. We know a lot of the same people, attend similar fellowships and connected on our intensity and love of living a sober lifestyle. I learned that Matt is an author and speaker who discusses the transformative power of vulnerability in overcoming personal struggles, particularly those involving loss, trauma, and addiction. He speaks at schools and other events nationwide.
He gained recognition for his best-selling memoir, Sway—the first story told by a child of 9/11. In the book, he shares his journey of overcoming various struggles, including losing his father on 9/11, addiction, and trauma. Matt also talks about his experiences with mental health challenges, such as depression and PTSD, and his path toward healing and recovery.
With over ten years of sobriety, Matt now shares his personal story to inspire others to speak up and seek support for their mental health issues, trauma, and addiction. His advocacy work emphasizes the importance of reducing the stigma of addiction and mental health. Matt’s purpose is to impact at least one life each time he shares his story and to be “a voice” for those still suffering.
What started as a casual conversation ended up being a great connection and brotherhood. If you or someone you know is struggling please don't hesitate to reach out at https://www.matthewjohnbocchi.com/. We hope you enjoy the show and have a most triumphant day!
I met Brooke several years ago when we were performing on stage at an event. She was outgoing, all smiles and very engaging. We happened to see her daughter Ava perform as well with her band. What began as a fun night continued into a working relationship of playing music, training in the summer for overall health and wellness and supporting each other in business endeavors.
Brooke Boles is a Boca Raton luxury real estate advisor, marketing strategist, TV host, and keynote speaker recognized for guiding clients through some of life’s most significant financial and personal transitions with clarity, care and precision. Working with Brooke feels like watching your home step onto the red carpet, beautifully prepared, expertly staged, showcased through global media and a strategic marketing plan designed to achieve momentum and maximum value.
It's been awesome to watch Brooke overcome some serious challenges personally and professionally. We had a special guest jump on in the middle of the podcast to share her goals and aspirations professionally and musically as well. I hope you enjoy the show!
I first heard of Dr. Sam during my years in education, but it wasn’t until recently at a Christmas party that we had the opportunity to truly connect. As we talked, it quickly became clear how many parallels existed between her work and my own journey from teaching into coaching.
Dr. Sam is a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist practicing in South Florida. She also serves as a voluntary assistant professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Her work focuses on supporting individuals from early childhood through adulthood, and she has built an incredible team dedicated to meeting people where they are. Their shared belief is simple yet powerful: there is a solution for everyone, and their mission is to help each person find the support they’re looking for.
During our conversation, we explored many of the challenges people face today—from the “must be nice” mindset to the constant search for happiness, guilty pleasures, and the attention we all seem to seek, whether positively or negatively. We also shared some deeply emotional moments, especially when discussing what it means to feel like you are “enough,” and why that concept can be so difficult to embrace in everyday life.
If you or someone you know is in need of support or simply someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Dr. Sam on Instagram @doctorsamllc or visit her website at www.doctorsam.com.
We hope you enjoy the show.
I met Matt years ago when Ideal Nutrition was just getting started. At the time, they had a single location in West Palm Beach offering healthy, grab-and-go meal packages designed to make eating well easier. We talked about potential partnerships between FROPRO and Ideal Nutrition and I was grateful for the opportunity to have our products sold and shared with the West Palm community.
What began as one store and a small kitchen quickly evolved into something much bigger—a large production facility, multiple store locations, and even a fleet of delivery vehicles connecting the community with healthy, high-quality, and fairly priced food options. Before entrepreneurship, Matt spent many years serving the West Palm community in law enforcement. One of the young men who came to train and work with him shared a passion for healthy eating, and as Matt’s time as a public servant came to an end, he and Wolfgang began working together to grow and enhance Ideal Nutrition. In a crowded space with plenty of competition, they knew they had something special that other brands couldn’t quite replicate.
Their brick-and-mortar locations quickly became more than just places to pick up meals—they became spaces where people could walk in, ask questions, and get real, practical guidance about their food choices. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about the connection and the time spent with the people they served. Matt and I talked about his transition from public servant to entrepreneur, the “fake it till you make it” mentality, the endless time, effort, and sweat equity required to build a business, and the challenges and rewards of growing a company while raising a family.
If you haven’t tried their meals yet, do yourself a FLAVOR and give them a shot. I’m a big fan of their breakfast burrito (and many others), and I promise you won’t be disappointed. You can find them at www.idealnutritionnow.com or on Instagram @idealnutritionnow.
We hope you enjoy the show—and their delicious, high-quality food.
I first met Bri back in 2013 when she was working part-time at the front desk at Slash Fitness while finishing school. From day one, she had a rare ability to make everyone feel welcome, always greeting people with a genuine smile and an upbeat, positive attitude. It didn’t take long before she began taking classes herself, and soon after, she decided to pursue a path as a personal trainer and coach.
Over the years, Bri continued to learn and grow, gaining experience at multiple facilities and businesses while fine-tuning her craft and building strong connections within the community. Along the way, she began to envision what it might look like to open her own fitness space and to take on the commitment of becoming a true one-woman operation.
She invested in a business coach and dove headfirst into the process of writing, planning, searching, and eventually finding a space she could call her own, one where she could bring her personal touch to the fitness world. Like many entrepreneurs, she faced skepticism. Some said the market was too crowded, that there were already too many gyms and programs, and that the risk was too high.
Despite the noise, Bri stayed confident. She had a clear plan, believed deeply in her vision, and trusted that if she gave it her all, it would succeed.
Fast forward just one year, and Bri now leads a thriving business. She has trainers coaching her classes, a strong and supportive community that trusts her and her programming, and a space that truly promotes health, wellness, and connection.
If you’re in the East Delray area and looking for an incredible community of like-minded individuals, be sure to connect with Bri at @thrive.fs or @bootbybri.g.
We hope you enjoy the show!
I had the pleasure of connecting with Kevin on his podcast, RISE ABOVE WITH KEVIN LANNING earlier in the year. We discussed all things sobriety, recovery and my experience strength and hope over the years as a sober man. While I was on the side of getting interviewed, I asked him to be on my show so I could flip the script and find out more about his story and how he became one of the top sober podcasters in the nation.
Since our show, he has expanded and opened up a new studio in Palm Beach able to host and accommodate a chill experience. Sitting in the studio, his rise in the podcast scene didn't happen overnight and he was going all in after leaving sales and marketing for one of the most recognizable media companies. In taking the ultimate risk, he left his role there to be closer to his daughter and moved to south Florida. What started as a couple of views took off after a viral moment with a guest on his show and being familiar with how social media works and that algorithms he turned it into a huge hit and show.
He has had many artists, entertainers, entrepreneurs and impactful people on the show talking about their journeys and what they had to overcome. If you are struggling or in need of help do not hesitate to reach out to Kevin on instagram @riseabovewithkevin @Kevin_lanning or at www.riseabovepod.com. Enjoy the show!
I first met the Rev back in 2009 when I moved to South Florida and started teaching at St Andrews in Boca. We worked in different grade levels but clicked instantly. Even after I left the school he stayed in my life and supported me through one of the hardest seasons I have ever faced. Years passed and when his name came up again I knew I had to bring him on the show.
Rev has been teaching for more than 25 years and is a cornerstone of the St Andrews community. His former students now have children walking the same halls. He has touched generations and continues to show up with the same steady heart. Teaching is his passion but he also loves acting, singing and being a grandfather.
Our conversation started with simple questions about his day to day life and turned into something much deeper. We talked about potential, loss, resilience and heartache. We explored how the school has changed over the years and what he hopes to do in the future. He is one of the calmest and most peaceful people you will ever meet. I cannot wait for you to hear this episode.
I met Jillian years ago through the fitness scene after she won a FROPRO giveaway. We stayed in touch, and more recently my wife and I took her workout class. We had an incredible time sweating, laughing, and connecting with the community. I later joined her for a Wake Up the Sun workout at another gym where she trains, and after finally sitting down to talk, I was blown away by her story and the life she has lived.
Jillian spent years as a lifeguard and paramedic, working Ocean Rescue on the South Florida beaches while competing in lifeguard games that draw some of the fittest people in the world. Believe it or not, many of the strongest Ocean Rescue competitors live right in Deerfield Beach. What began as a job quickly became a passion and a lifelong mission to stay healthy and help others do the same.
When she eventually stepped away from the EMT and paramedic world, some people thought her career ended too soon. Jillian explained that she no longer felt she could give people the patience and presence they deserved. After years of seeing some incredibly tough situations, she wanted a new direction. That direction led her back to teaching, coaching, and helping people improve their health.
Today she runs and teaches at GROyoga and also trains at THRIVE Fitness, two growing communities filled with energy and purpose. She stays committed to her own fitness and makes self care a priority so she can show up fully for her family and everyone she serves. When you spend your days pouring into others, taking care of yourself becomes even more important.
If you would like to connect with her, you can find her on Instagram at @jk_flowfitness or @groyoga. Hope you enjoy the show.
Paula is a new connection I made through social media. She stopped by FROPRO HQ to pick up some bars, and I missed the chance to talk with her. When I later took a closer look at her coaching program and the work she is doing in the community, I asked her to join me on the mic and share the story behind her life changes and why she is now committed to helping others.
Paula was once a hairdresser and stay-at-home mom. From the outside, she had the picture-perfect life with a beautiful family, a great home, and a wide circle of friends. What began as fun, carefree nights out with her husband and loved ones shifted during COVID. With more free time and fewer responsibilities, her drinking became more frequent. After several difficult conversations and personal challenges, she realized she felt empty and needed help. Seeking support connected her with many other women facing similar struggles, and this eventually led to the creation of a support group.
Her life transformed, and she recognized that others might need the same kind of guidance she once sought. She returned to school, earned a degree, and opened an office close to where her own struggles had played out. Paula encourages people to get curious about why and how they do things, and to explore the motives behind both positive choices and challenging behaviors.
If you are seeking connection or have questions, you can reach her on Instagram at @happiest_houraf or through her website at www.happiesthouraf.com (http://www.happiesthouraf.com/).
I first met Doug in 2010, when I quietly slipped into his office fresh off a DUI in Palm Beach. It was my last drink, and I desperately needed help and guidance. He welcomed me with care, brutal honesty, and direction, three things I had been missing. Doug took the time to walk me through my best options, drawing from years of experience serving the community. It was a pivotal moment in my life, and I’ll never forget the words and actions that helped me navigate one of my darkest chapters.
In 2024, I stopped by his office simply to say thank you. I wasn’t sure he’d remember me, but once I explained my case, it all came back to him immediately. We shared a laugh, caught up on life, and reconnected in a way that left me feeling grateful. I wanted to know more about his journey and, after some time, invited him onto the show to share his 30-plus years of experience helping people through some of their toughest moments.
During our conversation, Doug said something that stuck with me: “The case doesn’t define the client.” He reminded me that most people he works with are good individuals who have made bad decisions and that his role is to help them find their way forward. He genuinely loves what he does. He and his brother have grown their firm into several offices, reaching thousands of people over the years. What drives him most is the connection with people in the courtroom, the challenges, the triumphs, and the work itself. He doesn’t plan on stopping unless the phone stops ringing.
If you or a loved one needs help or counsel, you can reach Doug at www.leifertlaw.com (http://www.leifertlaw.com/).
We hope you enjoy the show!

I met Craig seven years ago through mutual friends. As a new transplant down in the South Florida, he quickly became involved in the recovery community to better his own life. What started as a couple month journey has now reached multiple years of sobriety, a new life and family and the opening of a law office.
Craig opened up about his past and what led him down a dark path of abusing alcohol and drugs while trying to maintain his legal profession. Ultimately he hit rock bottom and ended up down in treatment in 2018. Upon completion of treatment, he was encourage to stay down here and start over with a humbling job and to focus on himself and his early recovery. He got his first job clerking for a law office and during the interview was completely honest about this situation which landed him the job. His boss at the time understood Craig was working but sobriety and recovery came first.
During the early years, Craig spent his life giving back, working with others and following the suggestions of those who came before him. He met his wife and got marriesd, had a child and opened his own law practice with another local lawyer and recovery advocate.
To quote their website at www.robinsoncasey.com, "At Robinson and Casey, If you’re here, chances are you’ve tried everything—conversations, ultimatums, boundaries, second chances—and you’re running out of hope. We know that feeling. The sleepless nights. The constant phone calls. The fear that today could be the day things spiral too far. Families carry that weight until it feels unbearable. We guide you through the entire legal process—whether through the Marchman Act or Guardianship. Yes, we handle the legal filings, but that’s just the beginning. We stand beside you in court, communicate with treatment providers, and make sure your family has the support and clarity you need every step of the way."
We hope you enjoy the show and if you or a loved one needs help do not hesitate to reach out to Craig with any questions. Have a most triumphant day!
Social media has an interesting way of connecting people. I had never actually met Christina in person. I knew a little about her but was intrigued by her profession and what led to her changing her own life in order to assist others.
We dove right into the coaching aspect and why she chose to work with others. She experience a tragic loss in her family and it changed the course of who she was and her role. Moving down here several years ago working in a job that wasn't super fulfilling she sought other ways of connecting and helping people.
We spoke about feelings, what's reality perceived or fake, a true connection to God, moving on in relationships and being ultimately called to finding your true purpose and calling. There will be loss, heartbreak, ups and downs but in the end pursuing your destiny requires much that most will not do or don't even know where to start.
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Justin Weidenfeld for nearly fifteen years. I first met him as his baseball coach and trainer when he was in middle and high school, and through that time I also grew close with his family. His father, Don, was someone who showed me incredible kindness during one of the hardest seasons of my life. He treated me like family, and that generosity left an impression not only on me but on so many people in the South Florida community.
Seven years ago, Don passed away suddenly from a heart attack. In that moment, Justin’s life took a new direction. As a young man, he was faced with the weight of grief and the responsibility of being strong for his family as a son and a big brother. Loss has a way of reshaping us, and for Justin, it led him to seek support at Experience Camps. What began as a place of healing soon became a passion. Over the years, he became deeply involved and now serves as the Director of the Georgia Boys program for Experience Camps.
Experience Camps, founded in 2009, is a national no-cost program for children who have lost a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. Through one-week overnight summer camps and year-round programming, they provide grieving kids with community, tools, and hope. With compassion, connection, and play at the heart of their mission, Experience Camps helps kids reframe grief and move forward with resilience.
This past summer I had the honor of volunteering as a counselor. What started with some uncertainty turned into a week filled with meaningful connection, healing, and memories I’ll carry forever. In this episode, Justin and I reflect on our shared history, the impact of loss, and the life-changing work happening at camp.
It’s a conversation about grief, growth, and the power of showing up for others. I invite you to listen in, and if it inspires you, please visit experiencecamps.org (https://experiencecamps.org/about-us) to learn more about how you can support this incredible organization.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with someone who truly embodies heart, hustle, and community spirit, Michelle Hagerty. We’d crossed paths at local events and through mutual friends, but it wasn’t until a run with the Deerfield Beach Run Club that I really got to connect with her and I’m glad I did. Michelle's story is one of evolution.
Raised up north, she stepped straight into the family business after school, built a vibrant life with her husband and kids, and now finds herself in a powerful new chapter: giving back in big ways. From her deep involvement in local charities to launching http://ThePowerOfSports.com, which is a mission-driven platform helping kids gain access to sports, equipment, and wellness. Michelle is proof that impact starts at home and grows outward.
In this episode, we talk about how she balances her daily routine, her mindset, the importance of staying grounded, and her upcoming dancing role in Boca Ballroom Battle, where she’ll be dancing for the George Snow Scholarship Foundation this September. This conversation is a reminder that purpose can evolve, and service is a lifelong goal. Give it a listen and be sure to follow Michelle on IG @michellehagerty_ to support her journey. Available now wherever you get your podcasts. Enjoy the show!
I first met Josey years ago, in one of the most emotionally charged environments you can imagine, a recovery group setting where we were supporting a close family friend in early sobriety. I had been invited to show up as part of their support system, and I ended up sitting in on a group session that Josey was leading. What I witnessed left a lasting impression. Her presence, professionalism, and ability to hold space for people in deep struggle, it was powerful.
Fast forward to a few years later, we reconnected in a completely different context: the fitness world. We got to talking about her business, her mission, and the community she was building. That’s when I realized she wasn’t just running a company she was creating a movement for people who are working to rebuild their lives. And as 2025 began, I was lucky enough to join her team, offering support as a performance coach to clients who could benefit from that extra layer of care.
Josey is the founder of Parallels Consulting, a standout therapy and psychiatric service that’s redefining what healing can look like. I met Keesha years ago. Surrounded by people, full of energy, and deeply rooted in the recovery community. Over the years, we’d cross paths at local gyms, events, and business functions. Each time, her presence stood out.
Recently, I had the honor of speaking at her adolescent treatment center. Sharing my story with her clients and reconnecting with her reminded me just how far we've both come on our personal and professional journeys.
After the event, I knew I had to get her on the podcast.
Between running a treatment center, writing a book, and being a full-time mom, her schedule is no joke but we made it happen.
This conversation dives deep. We talk about: The raw reality of business ownership, mental health and parenting, sobriety, loss, connection, and resilience and the lessons that keep showing up, even years into recovery.
Keesha’s story is full of power, perspective, and purpose. If you're on your own recovery path, supporting a loved one, or just love real conversations—you’ll want to hear this one.

I met Megan years ago in a group fitness class in Delray Beach Florida. After not seeing her for years, while walking through my neighborhood as she had recently moved in. We got to chatting and catching up and would pass each other randomly over the next several months. I started noticing her posting about a new local business and she happened to be the founder/owner and operator. As someone that loves stories and the journey we reconnected and I got to visit the business, participate in the services provided and then we did a podcast about what led to it all.
Having faced her own personal health struggles and the emotional, mental and physical challenges of a difficult divorce, Megan embarked on a transformative journey of self-healing. Along with Megan’s personal story and being a single mom, her two children are what drives and inspires her. This journey not only reshaped her life but also redefined her understanding of beauty—one that goes beyond the surface to embrace the power of inner strength and self-love.
At Lumina Rejuvenation, they offer a comprehensive range of advanced services, cutting-edge skincare and anti-aging therapies to wellness treatments designed to help you look and feel your best. If you are seeking to connect with Megan please dm her at @Meg_mcginley or reach out to her @luminarejuvenation or Call: (561) 961-0026 or Email: Admin@luminarejuvenation.com. I met Brandon several years ago when he attended a mutual friends charity workout for people in sobriety. I watched him speak to anyone that came up to him and even took photos with a smile and a thank you. Not a common thing for anyone who that had been in the public eye for as many years as he has. He was warm, engaging and interested. Over the years we trained several times, participated in workouts hosted by our mutual friend Jeremy (former wake up the sun show guest in 2020) and broke bread various times he came down to South Florida for some rest and relaxation.
After joining in a morning Friday workout, Brandon joined me over at FROPRO HQ to talk about his journey from a professional skateboarder to rising TV personality to losing it all after many years battling alcohol and drugs. After getting sober in May 2015 he began building a huge community of sober networks that facilitate and helping those sick and suffering. He, himself experienced multiple visits to treatment centers, overdoses, jails and institutions and refuses to turn his back on anyone willing to get sober.
At the young age of 46, Brandon shares his story in a raw, authentic and powerful way. He spends his time running groups at his facilities, taking phone calls from anyone that needs help, speaking at events across the country and documenting the journey. If you are in need of help or seeking to connect for someone that is please visit www.brandonnovak.com for any and all info or call him directly at 610-314-6747. We hope you enjoy the show!
Eric has been a longstanding community advocate in the mental health and substance abuse space for quite some time here in South Florida. While I've only gotten to know him over the last 2 years from working in the industry, he has a sterling reputation and shining references from his work. Eric is an accomplished South Florida psychotherapist and behavioral health consultant, currently in private practice since 2007 and specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance misuse, grief and loss, anger management and related traumas.
He began working as a therapist in 1995 and has worked in a diverse range of clinical capacities including community mental health, residential addictions treatment, Native American behavioral healthcare administration and private practice. Eric also provides behavioral health program consultation and counselor training. He has instructed at the graduate school level and provides specialty clinical training to psychotherapists.
We dove into his journey of starting out many years ago and what led him to today. He shared overcoming some personal struggles and that vulnerability is the antidote for shame. He has an amazing way of sharing his life and putting into relatable and easy going way. Eric is also the host of The Good Counsel Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. You can contact him at www.ericbrickerlmhc.com or on social media- linked in and instagram @ericbricker.lmhc. We hope you enjoy the show and thank you for tuning in.
It has been years since I have sat down with Pedro Luna and chatted about life and the pursuit of greatness. It's always good to regroup with a former guest on the show and review former goals that have turned into reality. What once started as a fun thing on the side has turned into a full time passion project and business not only for him but for his wife and family. Yoga retreats in some of the most beautiful locations in the world, connection in and with new communities, impacting young yogis and changing lives all from the simple action of saying yes, taking massive action and getting it done.
Sitting down we dove right into the most important topics such as returning shopping carts to their proper places, doing the best you can for today, making yourself a fucking priority and saying NO to dumb shit. I know that's a lot to handle in one sentence but that's what a repeat guest is all about. Catching up on the epic life events and changes to what's most important during the day to day. When you go from a numbers, playing it safe guy to following a passion and then creating four different businesses as a result, all while raising a family you kind of know a thing about a thing or two. Pedro is just that. A man who's figured out what's most important to him, what makes him tick and fill up with joy and how to share that with the world.
I hope you enjoy the show and if you have any questions for Pedro or what he's doing you can reach him on instagram @yogawithpedro or @yogimemes. Have a most triumphant day!
I met Captain Ben Harrow at a charity event where he and his family were supporting his wife Gina. After he introduced her and the event concluded, I rushed up to him to thank him for his service and chat for a moment. After a brief conversation we both invited each other to be a guest on our separate podcasts. Getting to know Ben and his journey was incredibly inspiring. From high school and collegiate athlete which led to West Point, Ben always put forth the effort and made it a point to be constantly working on and being the best version of himself. After multiple deployments over seas, there was a tragic moment where he stepped on and IED and lost both his legs, several fingers and scarred his forearm.
When presented with very limiting beliefs by doctors and therapists, Ben made it a point to realize that if anything was going to get better, it was up to him to make it happen. The work was arduous and challenging but Ben continued in the face of adversity realizing progress is better than nothing. In this episode, we dive into his unshakeable work ethic and belief in anything is possible.
He is a husband, father and leader of the community with his work with the Yellow Ribbon Fund, his newly launched Team Harrow Podcast and president of Pam Jets. While he is super active and busy most days one of his favorite things is watching old re-runs of the Golden Girls with his wife Gina when they have time. If you are struggling or have questions for one of the most resilient men that I have ever met please don't hesitate to to reach out to Ben on Instagram @teamharrow or @bharrow37. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Shirah at a pickleball event at a local indoor pickleball club after she had emailed my wife regarding FROPRO and her newly started Palm Beach Founders Club. After Chelsea and I attended her amazing event where we got to meet other founders, business owners, VCs and new startups it was clear that Shirah knew what she was doing and an unstoppable force.
Her story began as a teen whose friend had her drink spiked at an outing which led to Shirah thinking that there has to be a way to stop that from happening. Her thought turned to immediate action where she took a scrunchie and other materials and created a rough prototype that essentially covered any drink to prevent from drink spiking. With the help of her family she took her idea and started to work with manufacturers and production facilities until the exact idea became a reality which is now called NIGHTCAPit. As a result, she was invited on Shark Tank and pitched her idea where Shark Lori Greiner invested in helping her grow the product. Shirah has sold over 500k products in over 40 countries and now focusing on legislation where bars, clubs and other places will have to provide a covering on drinks if asked for.
Now, Shirah focuses her time on running her business from anywhere she pleases and looks to connect and grow with other founders and business owners. If you are thinking about an idea, starting a business or seeking an entrepreneurial journey she says "throw yourself into it' and make it become a reality. You can reach Shirah @shirahbenarde or @palmbeachfounders or learn more about her product @nightcapit or www.nightcapit.com. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Michael years ago as I was starting my sober journey. As a legend in the community with years of service counseling and as a therapist, Michael has helped out the average person off the street to many high level and noteworthy people of the world. While he would have you believe that it's just what he does, he truly has a gift and a way with words that cut out any bullshit or nonsense. His life has created a ripple effect that has helped more people I know and affected me immensely.
We sat down and dove into his history/journey of how he got to be at the top of the game in his career. From humble beginnings to now in his 4th quarter, he is more interested in accomplishing goals in climbing the highest mountains, training to be and stay in shape to hit those goals as long as his body allows, bee keeping, agriculture and living a life where he can be self sustainable. A unique conversation covering life, love, training for hard things, revealing your true self and realizing that no one is against you. If you would like to learn more please contact Michael on his website www.coachmichaelherbert.com. Have a most triumphant day and enjoy the show!
I met Mie several years ago at the grand opening of a friends local business. She and her family made an entrance as beautifully warm, smiling and kind people. We spoke for a few moments and then separated in the community. While speaking she had mentioned of starting her own business as she was a successful trainer and wellness coach. I love entrepreneurship and was so grateful so have her drop by FROPRO and gift me her product.
Daily Hustle is a next level wellness drink mix that strengthens your immune system, gives you a subtle boost in energy while keeping you hydrated throughout your day! Elevate your wellness and hydrate with plant-powered, functional superfoods high in antioxdiants, electrolytes, minerals and vitamins. I was blown away by the taste and quality of her product. I consumed it for the next month and shared with several friends and family.
What is even more impressive is Mie's story and journey to live in the United States all the way from Denmark. Literally moving her entire life her started in her 20s when she visited a friend in Delray Beach and was her mission to move back. After moving here, some life and work circumstances unexpectedly changed so she had to act quick and there is where we begin. If you want to connect with Mie you can reach her on instagram @thrivewithmie or www.shoppowah.com to try her product. Enjoy the show.
I met Kayla years ago through the health and wellness scene down in South Florida when she was working at Lululemon. I have followed her journey down here with her music and talents and always wanted to have her on the show, so when I saw that she was moving and taking her talents to Nashville it was now or never. Im so grateful that she gave me some time while packing up her whole life to go.
Kayla grew up here in South Florida. She has been heavily involved in music ever since a young age when her parents would take her to a local restaurant that had karaoke hour and she would get on stage and sign without hesitation. "I am music that is my essence" a quote that stuck with me while talking with her on the show. She loves to write her own songs, sings in cover bands, plays intstruments and even attended the finest music schools down here for her education. During a tough time with health complications, Kayla got her GED and left school to handle and get better. She found in her darkest time, music and writing in journals really helped her along until overcoming the heath challenges.
While South Florida will always be home, she has found a calling coming from Nashville and to pursue her music career and do something new. There is no doubt in my mind that her name will be in headlights and everyone in the country will know her name and feel her talent. She's an old soul with an amazing voice, kind eyes and an amazing beginning to a most triumphant story. She and her boyfriend, who is also in the business will be right outside of Nashville building an amazing life and enriching those that cross their paths.
If you want to follow her journey, listen to her music or reach out please do so on instagram @kaylakuecha or www.kaylakuechamusic.com. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Jay recently only after hearing his name for so many years in the community. I was better connected with his wife and partner Mayra who tragically left us over a year ago due to an unforeseen illness. During the celebration of her life at the gym I was able to meet Jay and their children and become better acquainted. At the same time of this heartbreaking situation, Jay was busy doing his job as Vice President of Development for the George Snow Scholarship Fund. At its core, the GSSF offers scholar support services dating back to 1982 and has grown by leaps and bounds helping hundreds local young men and women get the support they need to further their education.
Jay "dug in" during one of the hardest times in his life to take care of his children, continue the events and fundraising, find time to work on himself, support the community and secure the cheerleading/cheer space for future success. During my experience working with the George Snow Scholarship Fund, Jay was very hands on and extremely helpful in helping me prepare for and train for their biggest in Boca Ballroom Battle which he too participated in years prior.
Jay is one of the most hard working, kind, generous and thoughtful humans I have ever met. His ability to "dig in" and get it done is one of the most admirable things I have witnessed in my short time knowing him. He has established a solid routine that works for him that creates a work/life balance, never skipping the small stuff, being an awesome dad, community activist and a huge rockstar legend of the band Wolfhawk. If you are interested in learning more about the George Snow Scholarship Fund or contact Jay you can reach them at @georgesnowscholarship or www.scholarship.org. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Sam years ago in the consumer products goods space as a referral from someone else. Although we didn't end up doing business together, she made a lasting impression on me. A full wattage smile, enthusiasm and kindness in her office was how I would remember her as years progressed. Not too long ago, Sam experience a serious low that almost cost her, her life. What went from a fun and growing career turned into a nightmare which led her down a path of confusion, isolation and eventually a deep depression.
Sam and I spoke after she walked through her experience and wanted to have her on the show to shed some light and help others. We spoke about our first initial interaction all the way to her being alone and isolating in her apartment up for days with insomnia. Her family and friends couldn't reach her and she walked through it all alone by her choice. What was born from that experience led her to where she is today. Im so grateful Sam decided to share her backstory growing up in an abusive household to walking through one of the darkest times in her life.
If you or anyone you know may be struggling there is hope and people that can help share their experience strength and hope. You can reach Sam on instagram @samwghanem or @think_sgink_branding or by her website www.thinksgink.com. We hope you enjoy the show!
Dominic would tell you that he does not have a crazy story but after sitting down and hearing about his life I can definitely tell you that his journey and how he made it to present day is something of a miracle. Dom is 12 years sober as of this podcast and is a health and fitness coach online and across the globe. His persistence to become a trainer and work with one of the best in the industry proves his hunger and ability to keep going forward in spite of challenges.
His sobriety story is one of repeated failure and bottoming out until he asked for proof and spoke into the universe that he was looking for a sign and a sign was presented. It changed his direction and he began, "stuck around" and kept coming back. Over the years Dom challenged himself and pushed the limits of what the body could do even by training for the LEADVILLE 100 which is a 100 mile race through the mountains of Colorado. While training for that he encountered some grueling mental and physical battles which created a new perspective on endurance racing and future races.
Today Dom likes to keep it simple. Being an awesome father to his son, Walks with his dogs, time with the people he loves and coaching others to improve their lives each and every day. You can find Dom on instagram @dapperdom10 or email at Dominic.s@proof3.com. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met MJ though mutual friends and stopped by his new home in central Boca for some coffee and a chat. We discussed sobriety and our journeys that led us from rock bottom to living with purpose. As a recent transplant from the northeast, MJ shared about his time in the big cities, his other businesses in the clothing industry to what led him to create LOOSID. LOOSID is a free sober app that includes a sobriety tracker, sober community, daily gratitude, sober tips and more originally founded in 2018 and grew during the pandemic. It also has a sober dating feature for a monthly cost that connects sober singles to meet without the stigma of drinking surrounding it all.
MJs story is like most alcoholics and addicts. His sobriety date is March 21, 2012 and his rock bottom led to his admittance of needing help and following through with the program and fellowship of AA. During his early sobriety he met a woman who's family had been struggling with addiction and rather than open multiple treatment centers that could only help a small amount they created LOOSID to connect and grow a sober community across the globe.
His story is relatable and the process of following a passion to connect as many sober individuals will be the legacy of LOOSID. If you or a loved one are struggling please don't hesitate to reach out @loosidapp, @loosidsoberdating, @loosidsobershop, www.loosidapp.com, www.getloosid.com with any questions. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Phil a couple years ago in the mental health and addiction counseling field. It has been an awesome experience getting to watch him grow and open his own private practice in Boca Raton Florida.
In Phil’s approach to therapy, the therapist and client are like companions walking a path together in the woods, with an uneven and dark road that may also be intimidating. As therapists, our duty is to stand by your side, holding a flashlight over your shoulder to guide you toward the necessary steps to take on your own path. Sometimes, we may use sharp sticks or carrots to motivate you, but ultimately, it is your responsibility to put in the effort.
Phil's approach to life and helping others is nothing short of miraculous being that he himself struggled at one point. His decision to get clean, sober and find what he is passionate about makes the journey worthwhile. If you are a loved one is struggling or you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to Phil at www.dudebreathecounseling.com Enjoy the show!
I had the opportunity to meet Alex at the start of the Boca Ballroom Battle for the Georgen Snow Scholarship Foundation. As a co-competitor we were thrown into group and individual dance lessons and had some time to chat in between. Getting to know Alex through his social media and all he and his family was up to was great but what peaked my interest the most is how he was heavily involved with helping in the substance abuse space with the Opioid epidemic. At the conclusion of the Battle, we had some time to sit down and talk all things routine, fatherhood, his first entrance into the philanthropic world, being a family man and always showing up with a smile on his face.
Alex is a wake up the sun kind of guy as he enjoys a run and workout prior to doing anything else and usually before anyone in his house is up. Following his morning routine he spends time with his family and drops the kids off to school before starting his work day at Priceless Solutions. Price Consulting Solutions provides expert services in fundraising, communications, PR, community and government affairs, associate engagement, and speaking. He tells his kids that starting strong and then finding someone to befriend and help during the day is what living a great life is all about. You can see that in how he, his amazing wife and family all interact and operate within our South Florida community.
"Start the day with intentionality and hit all the levels of physical, spiritual, mental and proper nutrition." Alex has made waves in the vast amount of businesses he has worked in and monies raised for National and local charities. His motto is simple in that you can reinvent yourself at any age and embrace the change. IF you want to get to know Alex you can reach him on his website at www.pricessolutions.com or on LinkedIn. We hope you enjoy the show!
I officially met Evan at the valet line after Boca Ballroom Battle in 2023. I had heard of red meat lovers club and its gregarious group of philanthropists and ended up standing next to Evan waiting for our cars for about 30 minutes and chatting about life, charity, his ability to bench 225 40 times and many other topics. We met a week later for a cigar and got to know each other and over the course of a year was his guest at several of his events benefitting different charities in the community.
Evans background is in hospitality and as a former owner and manager of several restaurants in NYC he and his family moved down to Florida. His Red Meat Lovers club was something started in college and Tulane University and resurfaced with his moving to Florida and bringing people together. During the year he averages over 20 events benefiting different charities and bringing people together over good food, fellowship, fundraising and more. If you haven't been to one of the events then you are missing out and can find them on Eventbrite.
I sat down with Evan and discussed his belief in uniting community, causes and good food. His Master of Ceremonies skills are unmatched and the team of people that donate their time and resources are vast. He doesn't want to be average and leave a legacy of good will and connection while he's here on this planet.
If you are inspired or want to learn more please go visit their website www.RMLclub.com or on Facebook or instagram. We hope you enjoy the show!
I recently met Jason at our mutual friends event Hidden Summit in Naples Florida. Jason was one of the keynote speakers and delivered a highly memorable and knowledge based take on life. As a psychotherapist, Jason has worked in the field for over 20 years and as a son of two psychoanalysts he has been raised and brought up to know, speak on and help many people from all over the world. His current practice is stationed in South Florida in Delray Beach.
What was amazing about Jasons story was how relatable and simple it was. From his childhood and journey into adulthood and what he overcame to be doing what he does today. While his professional career is that of a therapist he also travel and performs as a comedian and musician. He has balanced several passions that he once put off to the side because of some underlying fears he was telling himself
I met Brian several years ago through mutual friends in the sober community. Immediately found out we shared the common affinity for golf and good times. Ive heard his story and have seen some of his work but not until recently after playing several rounds did I convince him to come on the show.
His journey is one of challenge and heartache. A seasoned hockey player at a young age and talent for hockey had him prepped for greatness and leaving his small community in South Boston. Through many trials his hockey career faded as his passion for drugs and alcohol became greater. He was no stranger to consequences and pain from his decisions and after years of trouble and strife he landed back in his hometown living in a halfway house with three other sober men fighting for his life.
By staying the course and listening to other sober men, he dove back into work and with his connections found opportunities that took him all over the world. Today he spends his time working with others in the coaching and consulting fields, has appeared in several blockbuster films as well as consulted on several scripts. He doesn't believe in coincidence but in God shots where God acts anonymously in his life and has provided him with so many fantastic opportunities.
If you want to reach out and have questions or want to work with Brian you can connect with him on instagram @bsinsoflo. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Kim years ago in the gym. A glowing smile, contagious and upbeat energy make it hard not to feel her presence in any room. Over the years I have watched her be of maximum service to the health and wellness community of South Florida with her 18+ years of service in a shared and now her own practice. Being that she is one of the most highly sought after practitioners, I had to wait months to get her to come by the studio and so grateful we had the chance to sit down and discuss the state of health, fitness, healing, medicine and what her take is on living he best life.
Kim owns and operates Evolve Acupuncture and Wellness. She and her team of amazing Women of Wellness help and aid anyone that has any health issues by taking a comprehensive and in depth approach to not just what ails them but there daily lives. From food, work, family, illness, routine etc she helps her clients find a way back to maximizing their health with small consistent actions that lead to the most impact.
We spoke about her own health journey, what fuels her desire to help others, her love and peace of her personal life and much more. Like anyone that comes on the show I could keep the show going for hours because we get to uncover so many great ideas, perspectives and shared experience, strength and hope. You can find Kim by visiting her website www.evolveacupunctureandwellness.com or on instagram @evolvedelray. Enjoy the show!
I met Allison at the gym and we would always exchange a smile and good morning but that was about it. We never really spoke and over the months got to know her a little better and heard she had a wild story. I thought what better way to get to know her journey than to have her on the show and share all ab out it. Prior to her joining me in the studio, I did a little research and have many questions and notes because it was unlike any other guest that I have had on the show. There are some similarities but her story is best told by her live and uncut.
A lifetime of chasing to fix herself and others by sheer force, manipulation and shaming never worked and more recently she came to find something greater than herself. A newly found freedom in sobriety, sharing her authentic story and working with other women has given her new found purpose. She is set to release her own book, The Unbossing, has spoken on stages in a professional capacity and continues to share and connect with many across the country.
Her daily routine now differs hugely from the past and listening to her share of her time living on the streets to where she is today in extremely powerful. You can follow her on instagram @therealbossdoss or her own website www.allisondoss.com. One of the most open and honest stories Ive heard in a long time so enjoy the show and have a most triumphant day!
Super grateful to have spent some time with Kareen as she was booked solid for her trip down to South Florida for clients and master mind groups. As she states, "Im a lot" and its because she does a lot for other people and has done so for over a decade in the professional and business development space.
One of my favorite lines from her page and while talking is that she is "all up in your business" and likes to take a deep dive, under the hood to see the whole process, any workplace traumas and have a common goal and understanding of how to get there. She is a healer, super connector, differentiator and part of a mastermind group with many other successful professionals where she evolves and helps others to do that on their journey. When Kareen comes across something she wants to learn more about she's all in and goes into an immersive process that allows her to better understand how it could help her and in return help her clients which lens to her belief that "you must serve yourself first before you serve others"
Her routine is steadfast even with all her travels. She allows herself to wake up without any alarm or distraction that can jolt her out of her sleep pattern, already has her day planned from the night before, writes out her fresh intentions, meditation, breath work and off to the gym to get the body moving. For more you're going to have to tune into the show and hear her journey to where she is today as she has overcome obstacles and done so with grace, honesty and just being her. You can reach Kareen on instagram @kareenzwalsh or Linkedin: kareen walsh or her personal website www.kareenwalsh.com. Enjoy the show and have a most triumphant day!
I met Robbie years ago at a local gym. Her energy and enthusiasm were unmatched and have stayed in touch over the years. I recently saw her posting more on her social media regarding lifestyle, fitness and overall health and asked her to come on the show and talk about her journey.
Robbie shared about her career in the restaurant/bar industry, health/wellness and the personal training of clients to the journey of seeking validation through onlyfans. Robbie spoke of never dishonoring your past as things serve a purpose and teach you what you want and don't want in life. Today she keeps things simple and focuses on her day to day and what drives her to live her best life. One thing she suggested and I've been implementing is when you wake up give yourself a big smile. Admittedly, I thought that was really stupid and silly but it made me laugh and is a good start to the day before my own routine.
Working on herself and helping other women is her goal today. Finding a great routine, working out, reading and coaching based off her past experiences is what makes her who she is. "Its easy to lose your worth or become so codependent" she shares when not living her authentic self. Please enjoy the show and if you have any questions or looking to learn more about coaching opportunities please visit instagram or youtube for @robbieleonaa or @robbieleona_ We hope you enjoy show.
I had heard Lauren’s name over the years as one of the most trusted artist/hair stylists in the area. Having worked and lived in Delray Beach, you get to know and familiarize yourself with local businesses. Whats remarkable about Bond Street Salon is its history and future as a Delray Beach landmark.
What started as a passion from a young age, Lauren knew she wanted to be involved. She was enthralled by the experience, uniqueness and individuality that she witnessed by her first salon experience in Boca Raton Florida. Her journey continued by apprenticing in different salons locally and abroad until she was ready to go off on her own and had great mentorship to support that decision.
Lauren prides herself on her routine, process and ability to handle many different businesses and personalities all at once. Her foundation is prayer and meditation as well as a strict fitness and hygiene regimen. That process translates into her growth and success of her long standing business Bond Street Salon. If you have any questions or are looking for a new salon experience please visit www.bondstreetsalon.com. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Santy on the courts of Delray Beach Tennis Center playing Pickleball. After seeing him over and over we realized we had a lot of mutual contacts, connections and shared similar stories in turning tragedy into triumph. I asked him to come on the show to share his journey of growing up in South Florida as a first generation immigrant and overcoming the challenges of young adulthood and addiction.
Santy shared of his tough childhood in trying to put on appearances in front of his friends, his parents sacrificing and providing everything and anything necessary to help him fit in. From a young age, Santy felt like he didn't belong and it led him down a path riddled with doubt, fear and eventually coping by using drugs and alcohol to numb his pain. A friends father from his childhood eventually provided some guidance and help in finding a new path which led him to learning more about his true purpose and giving back to those that struggled with the same addictions. Santy learned everting by immersing himself in his own recovery process, helping around a facility, driving vans, sweeping and working with others.
In doing so, Santy created his own business based on what he valued and loved the most; helping others and providing a safe place for people to get well and recover. What started out as a small venture grew and while there were challenges along the way with business and partners he went all in and kept going. His story embodies resilience, effort and never giving up on his dreams. The South Florida fitness community is one rich with entrepreneurs, enthusiasts and go getters. I met Dan Baird through mutual friends and after having a great conversation over the phone, I invited him to jump on the podcast. Dan is the co-creator of NADS underwear which is a Certified organic non-GMO cotton created underwear product that gives your package a clean, comfortable, and healthy home and reduces harsh chemical exposure to your reproductive parts.
In speaking with Dan he shared his story about living a clean and healthy lifestyle but noticed that his testosterone was significantly low for a man of his age. It propelled him into learning more about all aspects of health and how the current clothes we wear are made with harsh chemicals, dyes, plastics and more. What was even more concerning was that most athleisure wear and his day to day clothes were the most harmful and possibly contributing to his low T. His research found that male testosterone levels have dropped significantly over the last 3-5 decades. Testosterone levels are detrimentally low amongst men of all ages.
Dan and his friend begun the journey of creating a better for you underwear that promises to provide their customers with the healthiest underwear possible. At NADS they will always design and create products with one main focus above all else: Health.
Please enjoy the show and give their products a try. I have switched over to NADS for my day to day and while I'm sure it takes time to notices any difference I can promise you my nads have never been in a better environment. You can check out their site at www.nadsunder.com and if you have any questions you can reach Dan on his insta @dan.baird1. We hope you enjoy the show and for the love of all things good please save your nads.
I met JP through mutual friends and attended his first golf charity event benefitting Quantum House several years ago. The always smiling JP is the host with the most and always looking at ways to help, serve and benefit the community and his clients. While attending the dinner post event, his daughter spoke about the event and charity which I though was so sweet and then learned that she was in fact his business partner and soon to be finishing college at the age of 18. I was blown away and had the chance to invite them in for a podcast to learn more about what they meant.
Valentina, better known as Vale is a highly motivated, intelligent and business savvy young lady. We spoke about what motivated her to become so engaged in the business side of things at a young age and she related that she was always with her dad listening to him speak to clients, watching his interactions and absorbing it all. She jumped at the chance to take college level credits while finishing high school and even become involved in the day to day real estate market of buying, selling and managing the air bnb's.
A first in the wake up the sun show interviewing father and daughter, it was a true pleasure to learn about the dedication to routine, an intense work ethic all while not stressing about the unknown. You can learn more about the Jarred Parton group @jphomegroup or on instagram @jphoomegroupyt on YouTube. We hope you enjoy the show!
I had heard of Guido in the world of Crossfit for years. Founder and creator of PEAK360 a Crossfit Affiliate gym in South Miami, Guidos name is held in high regard amongst trainers, high level athletes and the community. His passion for helping others is rooted in his belief in God, a strong faith, hard work ethic and consistency. I had the opportunity of MC'ing his Rising Tides event held at his facility prior to his other creation, WODAPALOOZA kicking off down at Bayshore Miami. Admittedly I was quite nervous walking into PEAK but was greeted warmly and felt a part of from the minute of walking through the doors.
After a successful evening I got to speaking with Guido and invited him on the show. One of my favorite things to do is travel podcast so on the eve on the Crossfit Open I drove down and spent some time learning more about Guidos story and how he grew a small gym into what it is today. He is NOT a morning person and never has been but once he gets going its doesn't stop. His morning routine is filled with God, family and focus. His week is already planned so after his morning routine he heads to the gym to surround himself with an amazing community. He spends his time coaching, training and improving other peoples lives and enrich his own in the process.
If you haven't had the chance to stop by PEAK360 and meet Guido please do so. The team and culture that he and his wife have built are incredible. You can follow along on insta @peak360fitness or @guidotrinidad. We hope you enjoy the show!
Over the years, I had heard of Bijan in the sport of Crossfit and his sports agency Ripple sports. I was fortunate enough to be the MC of the kickoff event called Rising Tides at Peak360 where I was able to introduce Bijan as one of the panelists and got to learn more. A soft spoken and thoughtful person explained his connection to the Crossfit world and his passion for getting into sports management. The following morning I joined the community for a workout and had a great conversation with him and asked him on the show.
A native South Floridian, Bijan grew up in Miami. He pursued business as well as law school to further his education. He was always into fitness, health and had some friends who were in the beginning stages of their athletic journeys. As Bijan states "God placed people into my life and relationships that brought him peace, connection and influence. As time passed and his relationships grew he was able to step into the sports agency world and encourage his closest friends to pursue and support their careers. He believes in the power of influence and has grown his agency over the last 11 years.
He shared that he also came to a crossroads where he had a lot of growing up to do. He found a connection to his community, to church and a close relationship with God where he was previously on a path of derailment. His week is filled with days dedicated to seeing his community, serving in whatever capacity he is called to and providing maximum value to his wife and clients. His agency is his ministry and he believes in creating ripples and making waves. We hope you enjoy the show and you can reach out to him on instagram @bijanheravi @ripplesports @vouxchurch or www.ripplesports.com.
I met Nick on the mean streets of Delray Beach in early 2011. We both were working in the fitness world, training clients, group training and enjoying South Florida. Our paths crossed pretty regularly but as time passes people move on or evolve into other areas of life.
Now, right around the time of Covid, Nick was training clients and began starting to go online as the gyms were closing. He always had a passion for motorcycles and when not training clients he learned how to take apart, rebuild & customize bikes.
Due to a nasty spill on his bike where fortunately he wasn’t hurt too seriously he began to look into the retail and clothing side of motorcycle wear. Nothing was chill enough to wear around where it didn’t look like you were a biker.
He and his friend familiar with the space got to work and the result was @nickyboys_toyz at www.nbtclothing.com. They are more than just a one stop shop for bike gear and culture but an expanding brand into other areas that Nick is passionate about.
We hope you enjoy the podcast and have a most triumphant day! You can reach them at www.nbtclothing.com
I met Justin many years ago through my wife and brother in law. A long time resident of South Florida and man of the people, Justin has transitioned from bartender to real estate professional and social media guru. I had the pleasure of being on Justin's podcast where we spoke about business, life and effort and was so pumped to have him on the Wake up the sun show to speak about what changed the course of his life and how he went all in on real estate.
As a seasoned veteran of customer service, human interaction and connection it made for a seamless transition. "Its all about showing up" listening to the client and delivering the best outcome based on the clients needs. Justin maximizes the experience of working with a client with personal touches of thank you notes, birthday greetings and personalized connection. Justin is big on gratitude and when thinking of someone or his accountability people sending out texts of gratitude for something that they helped him with in life and being grateful for their help, support or guidance. "You never know what impact you make on someones life or they can make on yours", getting a reminder of that is what its all about.
If you are a local resident of Palm Beach County and haven't met Justin out and about, I suggest you do. He's an incredible conversationalist, humorous and very informative when it comes to many topics in life. You can reach him @himmelsellshomes or 561-302-9709. We hope you enjoy the show!
I was connected to Caleb through a mutual friend this year. I reached out to ask him to come on the show and took some time as he was and is in the midst of building his clothing brand, LIFTID. We finally got some time to sit down and get to know each other and what I heard was the confidence, compassion and overall desire to be the best he can be with the time he has on the planet. He dropped "at one point I realized, I was going to die" followed with if I don't start now then it will never happen.
With a background in fitness and personal training, Calebs earlier years were focused on working hard for his clients and the big box gym in Atlanta but the after hours were spent wasting time and making poor decisions. Upon moving down to Florida he always had a desire to be a creator and one day he made some comfortable tee shirts, got a foldable table and showed up to share his products with people in the community. From his genuine attitude and approachable demeanor people raved about his shirts and he found himself running through inventory quickly. He was onto something and kept going because he knows people buy on emotion. While his home doubles as his office he gave up his day job and dove headfirst into the business.
Caleb shares that there is nothing really different about him or LIFTID. His goal is to make someones day better and add value to their lives. He keeps it super simple and is fulfilled by meeting new people and having others reach out for more gear. His goals include going The Olympia bodybuilding events and being able to share his product with everyone and anyone. If you are local please go check out what Caleb and LIFTID has to offer or check them out on instagram @liftid_apparel or @caleb.troutt. You can also visit their website at www.liftidapparel.com We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Derek years ago through mutual friends and he always was super kind and had great energy. What I didn't know is that he was building an amazing business and culture behind Razorback Electric. Over there years I would run into him randomly at a workout or community event and it seemed that every time there was a new family member. Derek is a father first, husband and local business owner with an absolutely amazing story of overcoming tragedy and turning it into triumph.
What started out as a simple and humble service job for another business changed Dereks life for the better. He dug ditches and showed up no matter what. His boss at the time became an incredible mentor to him and encouraged Derek to learn more about the process and business. Derek remembers the old times fondly in that it was so simple, get up, get plugged into good living, go to work and do whatever was asked of him and then repeat the next day. The system is pretty simple once you get into that routine and habit. Along the way he went back to trade school to learn more about what he was doing all while focusing on showing up for the customer and providing the best service he could.
Fast forward to 2023 and he was transformed his life and the life of those around him by consistency building off the fact of effort, quality work and surrounding himself with the best people possible. He's admitted to having his struggles with observing how some people do business down here and realizes that he can only control how he operates and encourages his employees to do the same. His day to day consists of how he began his journey......Get up take care of his "roommates", get connected to God, have his day planned out to get the small tasks done one at a time and remember to stay present in the beautiful life that he enjoys each and every day.
Razorback Electric has a staff of tradesmen, fully licensed and accredited and will complete your project as planned. They specialize in residential new home construction, current home upgrades, electrical panel repairs and/or replacement, and custom lighting of the interior and exterior of your home. In the commercial field, Razorback Electric, Inc., works with many contractors on ground-up business construction, commercial wiring, custom lighting, walk-in refrigeration and the many other custom wiring and lighting needs of the business industry.
We hope you enjoy the show and if you are in need of his services please do not hesitate to reach out at www.razorbackelectric.com or on instagram @razorbackelectric
I met Caitlin back in 2016 when she would come train with her volleyball team at Impact Sports Performance. As the years progressed I watched her transition from playing sports at a collegiate level to training and then beginning her own coaching/training and brand. In a short amount of time she has come a long way. She sat down with me over lunch to tell me about the tremendous amount of charity and service she was involved with. As we sat, I knew more people needed to hear her story and journey from Miami to becoming an entrepreneur and giving back to young women that may miss out on a chance to excel in their sport.
Growing her brand took 1-3 years of working with others and learning what to and NOT to do in business. She values each learning experience and proceeds coming from being her authentic self. She focused so much on programming and packing so much into a training session that she left out one of the most important part of truly connecting with each and every client on a more personal level. That is what drives her now and where she has found most of her success in truly getting to know each client, what drives them and how she can best serve in their journey.
Her morning routine sets herself up for success each day and starts with readings, prayer and connection to God. Her faith is of utmost importance and prepares her to have a full and most productive day. Caitlin loves her life, job and the chance to serve so please reach out on instagram @chancetoserve or @coachcait__ or her website www.coachcait.com. Enjoy the show!
I was introduced to Josh by his lovely wife Jenna many years ago after a chance encounter at a local juice spot. My wife Chelsea and I were invited to their home and spent some time getting to know each other over delicious food and conversation. Josh by trade is a business man who has worn many hats from teacher, tech genius, salesperson and the list goes on ad infinitum. Josh and I randomly run into each other and caught up over the years regarding ironman training, random ideas for business and FROPRO related questions and recently, Chelsea showed me his TIK TOK account where he discusses business, tips, connecting and coaching on a regular basis. "Why don't you have him on the show?" and that's how it happened.
Josh is a great coach mentor and has had years of experience in sales. He has amazing examples, real life stories in which communicating with people and finding out what they want and where they are coming from is the most important. In a rare flip of the script he started asking me questions and we did a role-play in talking with someone struggling. It got me out of my comfort zone and we began discussing what's the most important for everyone to engage in and he believes mindfulness can solve anything and point people in the right direction if they feel off course. You can follow his journey on instagram @BRAUN or his most followed on TIK TOK - @JOSHUA_BRAUN or LINKEDIN - JOSH BRAUN
Back in 2016 Michael and I connected via social media as I was preparing to run the NYC Marathon and competing for a spot in a national television spot for Foot locker second chances initiative. Michael is a substance abuse coach, counselor and speaker from Australia.
He experienced some serious bouts of depression, anxiety and drinking excessively as a young lad growing up and decided to change his life with the love and support of his family and mates. That experience led to taking a risk and going to work part time for a company that educated people on substance abuse, mental illness and overcoming challenges in every day life. That part time risk turned into his passion and allowed him to travel the world working, meeting and having conversations with many differently people. One of his favorite lines is "never underestimate the power of having a conversation" He believes you can learn a lot about others and yourself if you are truly listening and engaged in 'being' present with people.
Along the way he has created a brand called JOURNEY apparel where everyone has a story and it's a clothing label based on important conversations about mental health. Its a side passion project that aligns with his daily journey of improving his life and those around him one day at a time. You can check that out on instagram @_journeyapparel_ as well as follow along with Michaels travels @michaeldonehue. We hope you enjoy the show and get to know Michael as legend he is day in and day out. Enjoy!
One of my favorite couples and stories straight out of Delray Beach. Fit Food Express is nestled in Delray Beach and run by a stellar couple Andrew Arnold and Syd Breiding. They are an incredible couple that met while both working as employees at Fit Foods and became even closer as they lasted through the challenges. The challenges of changing locations, the sale from original owner, multiple people working in and outside the business and the trials and tribulations of being in the highly scrutinized food and meal prep business.
Andrew moved down here to get his life in order and began working part time as a chef and operations employee for fit foods. He was dedicated to making delicious food, delivering quality customer service and maintaining his sobriety. Through the years employees came and went and Syd entered the picture. What started as a co working experience turned into a great friendship and closeness that eventually led to them going on a date and cementing their relationship. When the original owner decided to retire and move, Andrew and Syd saw the opportunity to take over and grow the business. Due to the challenges of commercial real estate in Delray Beach, there was an opening not to far away from the original location. They jumped on it and turned a dilapidated old building into a sleek, fast causal, relaxing space and reopened with a new and improved look.
Everything worth doing takes time, patience, effort, communication and knowing what you excel at. Syd opens the store every morning and welcomes the community with her warm smile and quiet demeanor. They have build relationships with the people who have been frequenting Fit Foods for years and say its like having a great big family. They are the prime example of following your heart, dreams and putting in a massive ton of effort. I hope you enjoy the show and if you haven't been by to try their food then I suggest you do. You'll feel right at home. They have many more plans to host fun events, try new food items and really encourage healthy quality food for the Delray Beach community. You can visit them at 333 NE 3rd ave and also follow along on instagram at @fitfoodexpressdelray. Enjoy!
I met Dylan several years ago through a mutual friend. We both were seeking a better lifestyle and design for living and got to know each other. Dylan is one of the hardest workers, most honest and upfront people I have ever met. He tells it like it is which is so rare in todays society. There is no bullshit or facade, only real and honest communication and I hold that dear. I've wanted to have Dylan on the show for quite some time but we are all super busy. Watching Dylan build another successful business, walk through some challenging personal issues and raise his kids has been miraculous and it only seemed fitting that the time was right.
Dylan is in the financial information and literacy business. He is the research and the information behind www.behindthemarkets.com They specialize in knowledge in smaller financial tools and opportunities for the everyday person to the high level financial minds of the country. His belief is to live with gratitude, share what you are passionate about, work harder and smarter than anyone else in and on the business and the rest will take care of itself. He values his time with his children, freedom in structure and being present in whatever he is doing. Please reach out if you have any questions, either on instagram, LinkedIn or twitter @behindthemarkets to Dylan regarding financial, spiritual, emotional questions. You will not be disappointed! We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Alex at his old family restaurant Mellow Mushroom in Delray and then reconnected with him through my brother in law. Alex hosted a small friendly poker game at his house in Delray. One of my favorite things about living in such a great community in South Florida is you get to see people grow and expand their network and follow their dreams. Alex has a passion for helping people and believes that if a client seeks you out you should give everything to that client: full transparency, 100% effort and consistency because that client can become a raving fan and possible a lifetime connection.
Alex started his real estate business while working another job and within a few years had built a remarkable and prestigious organization of like minded real estate professionals now known as the Platt Group. He and his wife are a great team that balance all sides of the business and believe in adding value and always taking the high road. Alex starts his day super early and handles most of his business and set up before most people wake up but it starts the night before when he checks everything ahead for the next day. If you are seeking a true real estate professional that delivers an amazing service and experience than look no further. You can reach them at www.compass.com - Platt team, @Alex.platt on instagram or linked in. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Sean years ago when I was getting my life together. He was a mutual friend of my wife and brother in law. I kind of knew what he did but wasn't entirely sure. We reconnected when Chelsea and I were looking to buy our first home and he lived in the neighborhood. He made the experience pretty easy and was always available for questions or concerns. After we moved in and were neighbors did we become closer and share similar interest in fitness, triathlons and run into each other as he was walking around the neighborhood with his kids.
Sean is a true entrepreneur and has a passion for business and helping people achieve what they most want out of life. After college he entered the real estate market and rose to the highest ranks with a small company that was acquired by a real estate conglomerate. Now he is the Managing Director of Coastal Management which is a private equity company specializing in giving successful people access to and advice about institutional real estate and venture capital investment opportunities. He and his team fulfill this mission by delivering personalized guidance that supports your investment objectives.
Aside from being a successful businessman Sean makes it a point to be and stay present with those he's with. He's a great husband and father of two and spends his limited free time competing in ironman competitions. One of his tips to success is taking the time at the end of the day to review what's happened and prepare for the day ahead. Its part of his disciplined routine that keeps everything running smoothly. If you are seeking to connect with Sean you can do so on instagram @investwithcoastal or @seanrcasper or linked in. Remember to enjoy the show and INVEST WITH COASTAL at www.investwithcoastal.com
Earlier this year I had the privilege of visiting El Portal Miami and the BREATHTRIBE crew headed up by Javier and his wife. The location was their home, studio and breath work workshop. They were incredibly hospitable and we clicked instantly over fitness, health/wellness/cold exposure and more. I was really off my breath work routine since the COVID shut down as life got busy again. I spent the day working on my breath work with the others in the workshop and focused on being present and open to the challenging stillness and lack of movement. It was most triumphantly transformational and got me back into the daily morning breath work that accompanies my morning routine of prayer, journaling, meditation and movement.
It has been several months and Javi and I remained in touch and was so grateful to have him come by and see FROPRO HQ. He is a breath work instructor, jiu jitsu competitor, father, husband and community health specialist. His methods and teachings have helped many people across the country. If you're looking to learn more about breath work and assigning value to every day living while being aware of your presence. You can reach Javi and his team @breathtribe, @jgutierrezmar, @functionalpatterns or on their website at www.breathtribemiami.com. It was a game changer for me and I recommend you reaching out and finding out more to assist your daily routine.
I met Sarah several years ago down in Florida through some mutual friends. Little did I know she was a hometown hero from Weschester County New York and that we grew up right near each other. If you know Sarah she was easy to talk to and engaging in conversation which made me feel like I had known her for years. Over the years we stayed in touch and what transpired was one of inspiration. She worked in retail for years and stayed with different jobs until it became too much and then sought other employment.
In 2016 she took a "chunk" of money and invested in her growth as a business person and eventually a business owner. She surrounded herself with high network high level people and never looked back. As a result of being in the same room, she connected networked and started working with one of her mentors. She immediately took off organizing and facilitating his schedule and time so effectively it opened up many more doors to where she could now work from anywhere on the planet. This led to creating more opportunity to travel and see the world all while staying on top of her commitments. Sarah soon realized that she had a passion for helping other people travel the world and became a "guide" to knowing where to go and what to do which makes it even easier.
Sarah has transformed her life and taken the risks that she never thought she would. She suggests to every one she meets to go out, live life and do what fires you up. You can follow Sarah on instagram @sarahpesso or www.sarahpesso.com. Enjoy the podcast!
I met Doc years ago at a lululemon event. We had crossed paths thanks to mutual friends and fro the jump was immediately inspired by his warmth and kindness. I attended his charity event and watched him interact with professional athletes, families and make sure to say hello to everyone that came out to support what he was doing. I couldn't believe his energy and made it a point to get to know him better. Dr. Rodman is one of only a few Board Certified Sports Chiropractors that is also a Registered Nurse. He is currently finishing school to become a Nurse Practitioner and uses his combined knowledge to create an effective approach to natural healing. He has helped a wide variety of people from the professional athlete to the weekend warrior, office worker, children and the elderly.
Awhile back we reconnected when I needed some attention for my shoulder and chest. He made time for me in his busy schedule and fit me in for regular sessions to get me back to my normal fitness level. It was super frustrating but as he said consistency is key and coming to get your treatments will speed up the recovery time. It had been a couple years since we had really seen each other but picked up right where we left off. It was great to work with him and recommend anyone seeking assistance with any injury or pain to reach out to his office.
He firmly believes in an established protocol to perform at your best and be able to do so for years to come. We spoke about the importance of creating time to accomplish things in life where it won't effect anything else. As a full time father, business owner and student he is always looking to improve and makes the time to get it all done. Please enjoy the show and reach out on insta @sportschiropractic or the website www.scnhs.com. If you are looking to learn more about what they do please check out their youtube @sportschiropractic for tips and bio hacks. Enjoy the show!
I met Melanie years ago at the grand opening of Raw Juce where she was the Head Nutrionist and Manager of the Boca location. She's a Canadian Soccer superstar and came to Boca through Lynn university and ended up staying here to proceed with health and wellness. I had heard of her through friends in the yoga community. We stayed in touch and connected over the years through her support of the Sober community. Her life changed when her father passed as a result of suicide and propelled her into serving and facilitating yoga in treatment centers, mental health locations and giving back to those grieving and struggling. While doing so, she met her amazing husband and began a family.
She came to a Crossroads as her family started growing because she wanted to be there for her children but also serve the community. She takes it one day at a time and realized she couldn't do it all. It took a lot of work and conversation to give herself the permission to shift her priorities. She was able to find a remote job to be present and home for her children. She is still an advocate for Y12SR, overall mental health awareness and putting in the work to show up for yourself. If you have any questions related to anything heard on this podcast please reach out and know that you are not alone. Melanie can be reached on instagram @melanieharaldson. We hope you enjoy the show.
I met Sam back in 2020 at the HPLT summit in Austin Texas. A group of entrepreneurs together for a weekend of fitness, collaboration and time with several successful people in the health and wellness space. I immediately hit it off with her because of her amazing energy and approachability. We stayed in touch after the fact and even spent some time working out at FROPRO HQ when she was in town creating and solidifying her own business. She is a former collegiate athlete and has worked with countless others who have experienced life after sports and living a new life. She is all about that transition mindset, making the change and connecting the dots for others as she did for herself. Her corporate background and success in Fortune100 companies was great but not fulfilling in the way she wanted her life to be.
Servant leadership, bigger picture, connecting with values and impact before income is how Sam operates. She is building a massive company where real recognizes real and shows up in ways other won't because she cares. She genuinely wants people to achieve top potential and success as they did in their sport and aiming to do so in life after sport. Please reach out if you have any questions at www.successbeyondgameday.com or twitter/instagram @samanthascard. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Hannah in early 2022 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center while learning how to play Pickelball. Considering its one of the fastest growing methods of working out in the world you get to see some familiar faces if you keep showing up. Like any other sport you can always tell when someone is exceptional and performs at a higher level than most. I had the chance of watching Hannah plat some games and absolutely dominate her opponents all while carrying herself with intensity, grace, poise and sportsmanship. I would see her from time to time and chat it up off the court and she was always so kind. We spoke about social media and the use of it for positive things and the day to day. We had conversations about NOT listening to other people that were trying to tear her down and or didn't understand what she was trying to do.
Fast forward to several months later and she was signed by a professional Pickleball league in Canada, where she is from and life exploded in the best possible way. Endorsements, attention, traveling for matches and tournaments which she is no stranger to as she was at one point in her life and collegiate squash player. All of this goodness and rewards have not changed her approach to her daily routine and what she values. She is a planner, sometimes to a fault per her admission although it has guided her to greatness and success.
She finds joy and happiness in everything she does which is super important for her and anyone else because we get one chance to do all of it so why not do something you love. Please enjoy the show and follow her journey on instagram @hannahblatt on tik tok - hannahblatt1 or twitter Hannahblatt1.
Abbey and I met at the opening of Slash Fitness in Delray beach back in 2011. We were the new trainers and joining a team that proved to be one of the most awesomely assembled fitness professionals in my opinion. After years of working together we both went out separate ways and continued our journeys in the health and wellness space. During that time we didn't speak as much as relationships can change over the years but would check in here and there. I consider her a little sister and she has always been so helpful during my rough times and drove me around if I needed somewhere to be that when she was going through some hardship it was tough to watch.
Abbey let me in over the last couple of years here and there regarding her challenges. Recently, there was a definite turn in one of our conversations where it felt lighter and more relaxed. When we were catching up I asked her to come on the show and talk about her coaching business, owning a local gym and go over what makes her successful. What we ended up with was a deep dive in her last couple years, the struggle and hardship of mental illness, what she went through and at the end I was left stunned. Stunned in the fact that I could relate to a portion of her pain but that she eloquently expressed her journey and what she went through by being so open and vulnerable.
I am grateful to know Abbey and if you have trained with her or known her over the years this is a powerful episode of one woman's journey through hell and back. If you or anyone is struggling please do no hesitate to ask for help. You can reach her @_abbeyhilton_ or @focusfunctionalfit. Enjoy the show!
I met Dan several years ago at a workout and probably one of the nicest guys around. I knew he was involved in the opening of a local West Boca gym and that was about it. One of the best parts about being local is having people drop by and Dan would periodically drop in to pick up his order and just shoot the shit.
Dan has 24 years of experience in the financial world and it led him down to south Florida in 2005 when he joined up with Polen Capital. He and his team deliver active equity and high yield strategies to a wide range of clients. They build high-conviction portfolios that we are competitively advantaged. Per Dan “Our mission is to preserve and grow client assets to protect their present and enable their future.”
When we began growing and expanding FROPRO we put together an investment deck and ran it by several people. Dan gave it a look and he called us the next day to ask us several questions. He wanted to be a part of the team and help us continue our goal of expansion and snack domination. His whole message is about team work, collaboration and growth. Please enjoy the podcast and have a most triumphant day!
I met Willy when I was getting sober. He was in a solid crew of guys that had been down the same road as I was on. They had blown up their lives and were in the process of putting everything back together. Will was a tremendous support for me and easy to talk to about what I was going through. As the years progressed he had the idea of going back to school and getting involved in the beauty and haircare world. A huge business and something he was worried about doing for the fear of what everyone would say. He was worried about what it looked like even though he had a passion and drive to get involved. He set out and went back to school after working retail for most of his life and learned the craft. He firmly believes that "education is power" and you can advance in whatever you want to do as long as you apply yourself and do the hard work. With the completion of his degree, a wife and dream to open his own salon he moved back up north and set out to follow his dream.
Will currently resides in Connecticut and has since left owning his own salon to get back into more sales, connection and educating those in his field. He makes it fun and creates amazing trade show experiences for anyone that attends. He has created a life by following a few simple suggestions and asking himself some tough questions along the way. His life now revolves around his family and finding comfort in the repetition of spending quality time with his daughter every morning. As he states, "I get to do this today" and it is such a blessing. His life, family, career and much more all derived from living in gratitude and DOING the work. You can reach him on instagram @willyhyde or call him at 860-262-1891.
I met Justin when he was 13 years old. I was his off season baseball coach and trainer and became very close with his family. My wife Chelsea babysat his younger brother, his dad was a mentor to me as I was getting my life together and his mom brought me to one of my first Crossfit classes.
Justin and I both lost our fathers at an extremely young age, mine due to a relatively long battle with cancer and Justins dad passed suddenly from a heart attack in his sleep. Either way you can never be prepared when something like that happens as it rocks the foundation of who you are and how you operate. I was grateful Justin came on the show and shared how that very moment changed the course of his life and how he approached the processing of grief and working with other to ease the pain.
He goes by using the self created MIT method which is most important tasks. These tasks are different for everyone but allow you to identify and set yourself up for success. Watching Justin explain all this was surreal to me because when you get to watch someone walk through life and fight through the ups/downs it connects more. It brought me back to when he stood up in front of hundreds of people at his dads funeral and deliver an amazing eulogy about the man that shaped and taught him how to live. Justin mentions that we are never alone and people go through life situations every single day. Reach out, share and remember to stop and breathe. "It helps to create a win".
If you have lost a loved one and or are struggling with grief please do not hesistate to reach out to Justin @linkedin - Justin Weidenfeld or by email at Justin.weidenfeld@ironbridgewc.com. He is a firm believer that we are all in this together and can raise each other up in life. We hope you enjoy the show.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Matt after long overdue multiple mutual connections trying to connect us. I met Matts mom beforehand at a dance competition for charity and she had mentioned we would get along and then came to find out my wife Chelsea had grown up with Matt so everything aligned and we made it happen. My first impression after meeting Matt was positive because his energy in contagious. He has a strong and vibrant personality that shines through as he walks into the room.
Matt found success early on in his life in the business world and found himself in a position to create his own business. His business centered around helping others tap into their own potential, find their "spikey" point of view combined with his own knowledge of neuroscience and personal journey through pain and sacrifice.
His personal journey of overcoming challenge goes all the way back to young adulthood. He experienced an embarrassing and life changing moment in grade school that I believe most people will connect with. Matt encourages people to stand up for what they believe in and seeking out the silver lining in every situation no matter how challenging. You can find him @coach.matt on instagram and or linked in at Matt Savarick. We hope you enjoy the show.
I've known Steven since he was in middle school. He was just in town celebrating his induction into the Pinecrest Hall of Fame for his golf prowess and success in South Florida. He was a "lifer" at Pine Crest and his golf career led him to one of the most competitive Golf Universities around; The University of Texas. He became a Texas longhorn and was thrust into the highest level of completion form the likes of Beau Hossler, Scottie Scheffler and many other legendary PGA pros.
His story starts simply in South Florida where he picked up a golf club at the age of 2 and began his journey. He outshined other kids on the Junior Circuit and his skills were far more developed than the average golfer so he focused all his energy and time outside of school on becoming a better golfer. That included developing certain routines, rituals and consistency on and off the court to excel even further. "There is a certain mind/body connection with little room for failure or slip ups on the course during competition" He strives to find these simple tasks and complete them with the same effort every time so it becomes learned and engrained in his process.
His journey is far from over as he has graduated college and on PGAtour Canada trying to make it to the next level and reach the PGA tour. There is no doubt he can do it and has the entire South Florida area pulling for him and supporting his efforts. He suggest everyone keeps looking up no matter what and look at the world with wonder and enjoyment. You can follow his journey @stevenchervony on instagram or @pgatourcanada or @texasmgolf. We hope you enjoy the show!
I was introduced to Ryan through a mutual friend, super connector and former guest on this show Eric Hinman. While traveling through Denver and on his country wide tour I met Ryan through FaceTime. He has an amazing personal story of pain, suffering, suicidal thoughts at a young age. It led him into learning obedience, transforming PAIN into PURPOSE, creating a message out of his mess and jump into building an amazing Fitness Apparel company LRX. The beliefs are simple in where he connects with each specific community he comes into contact with and communicates with the people that choose to engage with his message and meaning.
He and his wife currently live in Hawaii and his daily routine is remarkably dialed in down to the time. Since they live a couple hours behind the rest of the United States he gets up super early and makes it a priority to have a POWER LIST of 5 tasks to knock out and work through until end of day. He uses social media to be creative and tries to avoid going down the rabbit hole and scrolling because he feels his most creative when doing his own thing because it means something to him rather than looking for ideas from others. '"Do not delay obedience, make the plunge and get whatever it is done, and do it right now" A strong message from a seasoned man of the world.
Please go follow his story on instagram @ryanahusband or @lrxapparel —LIVE PRESCRIBED as well as his own podcast ---Theprescription podcast on spotify and apple music. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Jake when he was 12 or 13 years old as he was a mutual family friend here in South Florida. He was a nice kid, smart and very gifted athlete in many sports. While I heard he had excelled in life and heard through others about his sports career in high school/college, I lost track of how far he had taken his sports career until running into him at the airport. He had just left the Chicago Bears camp after tryouts and was heading to the Miami Dolphins as a free agent. I was blown away and asked him to come on the show when he was back in town visiting his parents.
So grateful he did because he has a great story about putting in the work, never giving up and that if you want something and know where you want to go, there are no excuses. He battled for a spot on the Vikings and overcame an almost career ending injury and the pandemic. While he's a free agent right now his routine and structure are very dialed in, ready to go at any time if the chance presents itself. He has the drive to keep playing while also preparing for life after the NFL. He is passionate about working with others in the health and exercise field, has explored working with his brother in the real estate market and is open to anything that comes his way.
He believes in getting and starting each day with little wins like making your bed and getting the body moving to set himself up for success. You can follow his journey and contact him on instagram @jbargas22 or twitter @jbargas22. We hope you enjoy the show!
I was introduced to Elia through a mutual friend and another Wake up the Sun show guest Ann-Marie Saccurato. I had the pleasure of sitting down with her 2 weeks prior to her next big fight to unpack the story behind her pursuing a career in fighting, her service as a policewoman and the opening of a gym to help others change their lives. She is all about her community and being a part of something that keep her and other accountable to living and celebrating the most out of life. "Put God First" and everything else falls into place.
Elia felt she needed a change in her life and was overweight. She attended a class at South Florida boxing and was encouraged to adopt a new lifestyle, change some routines and rituals that were not serving her and move forward. In the past she did it for others and she learned that she had to do it for herself. That included better time management for her job, the gym and ultimately led her to opening up her own space. She is the proud owner of @levelupboxingandfitness who opens the door to others seeking to change something in their life.
Her big fight is coming up on April 29th so check out her page @elia_soulsnatcher & @levelupboxingandfitness for access to tickets. She is a true example of someone who truly dedicates her life to the benefit, protection and service to those around her. We hope you enjoy the show and see you at the fight!
I met Noah several years ago in Austin Texas at the HPLT fitness summit. An awesome human that I connected with over competition, hot/cold therapy and good food. At the conclusion of the weekend we stayed in touch and when he visited South Florida for a business conference we had the chance to sweat and chat a bit more. His story is born of creative calling and when his day to day law office grind was unfulfilling and threatening his sanity, he changed directions and started listening to his Universal Higher Power. He was called to create more in his community and unite Austin even more. He opened Squatch Frontier Fitness, which continue to host and evolve anyone looking for a solid group of people in Texas. He began writing and focusing on his love of philosophy which led to the publication of his 1st book and second on the way. He takes on his each day with writing as his number one priority and when he feels most connected.
Upon a recent business trip to Florida we were able to catch up and sit down to discuss the plans of 2023 and beyond. One of the few podcasts that I could have extended into multiple hours to cover all the content we wished to cover. He firmly believes that WE ARE THE TIMES and have to take reponsibility for what we do each and every day we are given. There will be a follow up podcast but for now please reach and and contact Noah on instagram @noahhuisman3 on SUBSTACK, @squatchfrontierfitness, @thisway_tothestars - AMAZON and 20% RHONE- Husiman20. Enjoy the show!
I met Dr Stanger years ago at a charity event hosted by his daughter Montana, another previous guest on this show. Every time I would run into the Doc, he was always so kind, asked questions about the business and be incredibly supportive. I had no idea the kind of story he had and the amount he had to overcome to get where he is today. He is truly a remarkable man that has overcome odds most would have given up on. From battling leukemia, tongue cancer and other health related injuries he built a huge chiropractic and wellness business that spanned a huge territory.
Built upon trust, the best practices and truly focusing on health and wellness for each of his patients, Doctor Stanger is well renowned. Several years ago as a result of trusting someone in his circle, he suffered a huge loss to the tune of seven figures. A loss that gave him the opportunity to start over again and recreate what he had built before. His story is that of resolve, dedication and an unwavering attitude for delivering the best possible service and care for those in the community. You can reach Doctor Stanger at https://stangerhealthcare.com, www.stangerinjurycenters.com or on his cell at 561-901-0600. Enjoy the show!
I first met Berkley when she took my class at Slash years ago in Delray Beach. She was very kind and always had great energy which translated into her passion for law and helping businesses achieve success. Social media provides an insight to the day to day and she has a great account that provides humor and direct information on how to protect your business and how to do it right. I was so pumped to have her on the show and hear her journey of the law school grind into the family law business into building her own brand and going off on her own when the time was right.
We spoke about her routine and being a mom to her amazing son as well as the future twins on the way! Her approach to the day to day has changed a lot with being pregnant again but she firmly believes that if you don't like the path you are on, you can always change it. You can contact her on instagram @berkleysweetapple or www.berkleyweetapple.com. We hope you enjoy the show!
I met Justin at a fitness summit in October 2021 in Austin Texas. We both attended HPLT which brought together people from all over the country to connect, workout, learn from industry professionals and raise each other up over the course of the weekend. Justin and I immediately hit it off with similar thought processes and approaches to life, training and overall work ethic. We stayed in touch and I had the pleasure of meeting his wife when we all went out for a meal of food. They moved to Miami and we were able to connect more over the course of some time through events, lunches, workouts, plunges, fitness comps and hockey games. What sets Justin apart from most successful entrepreneurs is his ability to serve and give back without anything in return. He is the first to pick up a phone and reach out to help with life, business or anything he is able to connect people to through his network.
He approaches each day with an amazing routine that starts off with his time with God. Morning prayer, meditation, reflection and gratitude. Without fail he starts every day with this routine and then goes into some form of sweat that includes lifting weights, cycling, running, swimming or a combination of all and then into a sauna and plunge to relax. He and his wife Alyse then jump right into their day working with others, coaching, phone calls and making arrangements for events throughout the year. We sat down in his office down in Miami after working out and waking up the sun to learn more about his version of success and what has worked for him. We learned more about his rock bottom and how he sought out more in his spiritual, physical and emotional well being to be a steward to others. Please enjoy the show and connect with Justin @justinroeth, @ownit.coaching @ownitsystem so you too can do health differently, live life differently and achieve maximum growth.
I had the opportunity to sit down and speak with Alyssa Shapper, Digital Marketing Director at Banyan Treatment Center here in South Florida. They dropped in at FROPRO HQ to record their podcast and I jumped in to record as well. We spoke about sobriety and goal setting in early sobriety and what makes something realistic or unrealistic when setting such goals. We focused on mental health and why it's so important to have routines and consistency in the early years of getting sober.
We dove into the beginnings of FROPRO, how it started and where it's heading in the years to come. I am grateful for these opportunities and all that I get to do as a sober man in the community. Thank you to everyone fo all their support and hope you enjoy the show. You can find another copy and video recording on the Banyan YouTube channel. Have a most triumphant day.
The health, wellness and fitness world is filled with some amazing people and I had the opportunity to sit down with Giovanni and get to know a bit more about his story. He has a passion for helping others, treating everyone he works with like family and how we would want to be treated and honors time being our most precious commodity. He is an educator, trainer, coach, father, family man among many other talents. I met him years ago through fitness connections and we always stayed in touch through social media and Ive always found him to be motivating, inspiring and honorable in the way he carries himself in all that he does.
In this episode we talk about what fuels him to be the best version of himself and that starts with being a father. His morning routine is one that touched my heart and soul after he shared it with me. His approach to life and how he coaches or educates future trainers is done with respect, care and commitment. We also spoke about the resilience to persevere through anything no matter how great the obstacle. If you are looking for a coach, trainer or someone to tell you like it is then please reach out to Giovanni through facebook, instagram @giovanniroselli and I hope you enjoy the show.
I get to meet so many awesome people since moving down here to South Florida and one of the most impressive is Curtis Cathcart. I met Curtis as he was starting over in life and he had this super motivating out look and attitude regarding life. What stood out of the most was I heard him share that he was starting his own business and had this passion and fire behind the statement that is quite rare. Over the next couple months I watched him pursue and overcome many obstacles that one would find impossible. He never changed his attitude of gratitude and carried himself with grace and humility.
His life has since transformed into meeting his now wife and welcoming a baby into the world, owning a home, growing a thriving business and crew of awesome people all while giving it up to God. He is a power of example that anything is possible through belief and a ton of hard work. Coming back from a self imposed death sentence and reaching an absolute bottom, Curtis has inspired me along the way. I feel his story, simple message and daily routine can apply to anyone anywhere in the world. Please listen and check out his business at www.curtspressurecleaning.com where one call cleans it all! Enjoy the show!
The first time I ever saw Blessing was on social media in a prank gone wrong. He was on muscle beach and trying to wash his hair and someone kept adding shampoo and he kept getting angrier and angrier. He's had so many more amazingly awesome internet viral videos that I've watched but I had the opportunity to sit down with him and learn more about his story and rise to the top of the bodybuilding world.
Blessing grew up dirt poor on a farm in Nigeria with no plumbing, water and little to no food in a huge family. He was smuggled into Ireland at the age of 9 and given a second chance to learn, study and eventually learn about fitness. He suffered relentless bullying and pain from being singled out by a lot of people in his small town. As het got older, he enjoyed working out and did a minor competition where he was given major feedback that he had the "stuff" to go far in the bodybuilding world. He ran with it and started to train hard all while truly enjoying his life and all he was blessed with.
With the rise of social media, he had a few videos go viral and became an internet sensation which only gave his haters more fuel to try and take him down. "I love my haters" says Blessing, they give me strength and add even. more to getting the job done. He won major comps and is competing in the Super Bowl of bodybuilding in the 2022 Olympia this very week. He has a deep appreciation for life, the quality of a few good friends, ,communicating about the struggle and depression that effected him along the way and how he lives one day at a time. Please reach out to him and check out all he is doing on instagram @blessing_awodibu aka #theboogieman. Enjoy the show!!
I met Carly several years ago when she opened the first SEED location off Palmetto. We were standing at a fitness event passing out coffee and snack bars to the clients. She was awesome enough to allow me to carry FROPRO in her location and share with the local community. Since that time the SEED has expanded to 3 locations with more planned to open by the end of 2023. Carly's sister Cassie has since taken over the day to day management of the Palmetto and overall Spirit of the locations.
We had the chance to sit down and talk about the success and challenges of working with together, balancing family and growing a business and how to stay focused in the midst of so much going on with daily life. Both believe in the idea of taking massive fucking action and following your heart where you are called in life. Being a part of a growing business, getting to share with the local community and expanding the SEED brand has been a Godsend for both of them creatively. They are looking forward to what the future holds but maintain living in the present and truly enjoying their families and all they are grateful for in their lives. Please reach out @seedcoffehouse or @car_altier or @Cassiesalla. I hope you enjoy the show and go by to one of their locations and enjoy the experience. You won't be disappointed!
I met Amber at the Creative Mornings breakfast event earlier in the year and we recently reconnected when an event was held in her business, The Flamingo House. The Flaming House is a beautifully designed co-working and event space in Downtown Boca Raton off federal and 4th. Upon walking in I was greeted. by her and felt right at home. I was given a tour and felt the energy and passion that she put into every detail. While speaking on the tour, I was compelled to ask her to come on the show and share about her journey in creating this space and how she operates on the daily.
We sat down in one of the conference rooms and dove right into her story, trauma healing and overcoming many challenges within the last couple of years. She was an amazing story of coming from collegiate athletics, learning tools from a powerful and memorable mentor that have carried her throughout her life and decisions in business. If you are in the position of working remotely or are seeking an amazing experience surrounded by other creative and successful entrepreneurs, business owners then look no further than The Flamingo House. You can get in touch with Amber through their website, www.theflamingohouse.com or on instagram @theflamingohouse. I guarantee you will feel right at home. Enjoy the show and have a most triumphant day!
I connected with John Jr through multiple friends and family after he moved down here. We played some golf, attended some events and when he started his business I was able to work with him and support his local business. One thing I love is getting to know the why behind someones story. In Johns story, he left a multigenerational family business to begin something new down in South Florida. He moved down prior to the pandemic and took a look at several service based businesses before selecting landscaping. From there it took off and what started as one truck turned into multiple trucks and teams of people, starting a pest control business and then bringing the true passion of Home building back to the forefront.
John wanted to prove to himself he could start something from scratch and with the love, support and sweat equity from his family and brother Mark they have been building and working on the dream. In John's words "he burned the boats" and never looked back. From early morning beginnings, long marathon days and finding time to spend with his closest friends and family, John answers the tough questions, takes "extreme ownership" and keeps it moving. You can reach out to him for any of his service based businesses at www.snellmanconst.com or www.eastcoastsprayers.com. You can also find him on instagram @snellmanconstruction and @eastcoastsprayers. Enjoy the show!
I met & connected with JP through social media and multiple friends. He bought 3Natives awhile back from a friend of mine and decided that the food and restaurant business was his end all goal. He spent some time working a 9-5 and never felt fulfilled feeing awful and watching "miserable" looking people come in and out of the bank he worked for.
JP is a people person and as a local South Florida guy has always enjoyed being and communicating with the community. Upon leaving the "rat race" he linked up with a local kitchen and started slinging sandwiches, smoothies and other easy on the go items. He would frequent many eateries and one day approached the owner of 3natives on a more serious note and said he wanted to open a 3natives franchise. Although he received many challenges and some opposition to opening a restaurant from his family and friends he moved forward and followed his dream.
He partnered with a long time childhood friend and they began their journey into opening up one franchise. He spent months learning the business, what works and what doesn't is all about the people you surround yourself with. "I am nothing without my team" says JP and as a former collegiate athlete, he understands the importance of working together, communicating and having systems in place. His goal is to open more franchises and grow the 3natives brand to multiple locations. He has his accountability group, a strong family connection and bond that are also joining in on the franchise. His message is clear...........Stay stoked on life and find something that fires you up every day. You can visit his store on Yamato or check him out on instagram @jpcaruso9 or @3natives. Enjoy the show and have a most triumphant day!
David Welliver aka DJ or coach is no stranger to the fitness world. He has trained all disciplines, comes from a sports background, been mentored by some of the greats and his main purpose is to help those seeking to improve their overall health and lifestyle in a group setting. It started when he manifested on a small whiteboard at his moms house..........he wrote down LIVWELL fitness - a one stop shop to benefit everyone.
From there his life ended up taking a turn for the worse where he battled a crippling drug addiction which landed him down in South Florida. He started over and learned some new tools that fostered his desire to be OTHERS centered and start his day off with connecting to something greater than himself. Through his journey he met his awesomely talented and beautiful wife Amanda who is a fitness coach and trainer herself. They began to build their life, be active in the community and created Lift The Obsession which was a donation based workout out of their home in West Boca. The response was electric and pretty soon they couldn't fit the classes so they had to find another spot.
As of October 1, 2022 LIVWELL strength and conditioning opened it doors to the public. They are located off 2158 West Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. You can find it at www.livwellstrength.com, on the MINDBODY app, @coachdj_livwell and at @livwelstrengthandconditioning. Go check out their classes, get involved and hope you enjoy the show!
I was fortunate to have met Austin, Joe and Andy at a pivotal point in my life and without question they gave me an opportunity to join their newly opened gym concept in 2012, Slash Fitness. At the time, it was a one of a kind group fitness that focused on different levels of programming alternating throughout the year. It catered to all levels of fitness and provided a welcoming and fun atmosphere immediately upon walking through the doors. They recently celebrated 10+ years as a business and have since expanded and grown to be a staple in the Delray Beach community.
I sat down with Austin and Joe and discussed the ups and downs, challenges, successes and what it means to them to own and operate Slash. They have served the community and encourage charity donations through fitness from all their members. They set up other fitness options with their newest outdoor sweat and plunge hosted by Austin among many other different events for their members. Slash is more than just a fitness class, its an experience that allows you to be part of the greater good and treated like family. If you haven't checked them out then do yourself a favor and go book a class www.slashfitpro.com or on instagram @slashfitness. You can also reach out to Joe and Austin personally @joeslash23 @brockybalboa. Enjoy the show!
Ma' wife is a badass and has always been, this past weekend we sat down and spoke about the accidental entrepreneurship journey that we found ourselves on with the creation and growth of FROPRO snack bars.
We spoke about the beginning, highs/lows, successes and failures. Chelsea spoke about her journey in embracing the responsibility of the CEO position. One of the most awesome decisions she made was to do some work on herself after experiencing what is known as imposter syndrome. She took a massive leap by taking the time off from her daily life to look inward during a week long retreat at the Hoffman process.
There were many takeaways but one of the biggest successes was learning to acknowledge her weaknesses and turn them into a superpower. A shift in perspective and taking action. It’s awesome for me to watch her change, grow and operate our business on such a high level. She’s a badass woman who gets it done and grateful to watch her wield her superpowers every single day. Check out the podcast and reach out to Chelsea @chelsealaurenwilliams on insta or email her at chelsea@fropro.com if you have any questions about her experiences with anything you heard. Have a most triumphant day!
I met Zach when he was doing physical therapy at the gym. We got to talking about why he was there and working with the PT and it hit me that I had heard about his story through someone else awhile back. Several months ago while driving home on I-75 he was struck by a tractor trailer and was dying on the side of the road. By chance the trauma hawk helicopter was en route for another accident several miles ahead of his accident and those involved in the previous accident had passed. He was pronounced dead on the scene but resuscitated, rescued and airlifted to a local hospital. He was in a coma for several weeks, severe brain trauma, bodily injury where they had to put him back together and told he would never walk again.
As the oldest of three, Zach has always been a leader, role model and family man. He looks after his younger siblings as his father passed shortly before his accident. His passion for helping others, hard work and determination gave him the strength to face his hardest challenge yet; to walk and prove to himself and others that he couldn't kept down. The journey has been hard fought with ups and downs, he has given everything he has into starting over and figuring out the next steps to move forward and help others that have experienced something similar. His charity....... ..................... aims to put those injured permanently and striving to regain basic movements in working hand in hand with the community. If you or anyone else may be struggling with a life changing injury please reach out to Zach and connect. He is a remarkable young man who has no quit in his vocabulary.
A change was necessary and when the moment was right Briah and Adly made the decision to pick up their whole life and move from Syracuse to South Florida. Being from the mental health space and immersed in a world of service and helping others they found no issue in finding work down here . They had been working on their skin care line since the move from New York and it was their passion and part time side hustle. When Covid hit the nation hard, there was less and less work for their day to day job so they made the decision to go full time and make SELPHF the number one priority.
I had the chance to meet Briah and Adly through email a year or so ago and when we finally connected as local business owners there was much to talk about. After chatting, I thought it was necessary to invite them on the show and learn more about their journey. What started as a part time side hustle became their full time vision of creating new scents, oils and treatments for natural skincare that focus on acne, eczema, anxiety and more. They are are consciously sourced, cruelty free product line that allow them to be creative and connect with their client and deliver the best possible customer service.
Please go check out their website www.bodycareforself.com or www.selphf.com. You can also access them on instagram @selphfskincare #treatyoselphf. Enjoy the show!
I recently met Josh after a workout at FROPRO. We chatted about working out, sports, fitness and left It at that. We connected again and he told me about his story getting down to the South Florida area. He was a collegiate athlete and made It to the college world series and after the college runended up not signing with a professional MLB team. His sister had entered his name into a reality tv series filming in Hawaii. He hopped a plane not knowing what to expect, became the first eligible male candidate introduced to the women and then stole Americas heart. His reality TV exposure allowed for the country to know him on all levels. During filming and on his way to possibly winning the entire show he was dealt a challenging tragedy with the loss of his sister.
Josh's world changed and he had to make some pretty important decisions that altered the course of his life. He left the show with his new girlfriend and went home to be with his family and honor his sisters life. Albeit a tough point in his life, Josh overcame the sadness and hardship and took his recent fame and combine It with his knowledge and love of health and wellness. He created an online fitness platform and community which allowed him to work remotely anywhere he wanted. He and his girlfriend moved down to South Florida where he started a new life focusing on his passion for helping others transform themselves on all fitness levels. Check out his insta at _josh.goldy_ or his website at www.joshgoldyfitness.com. Enjoy the show and have a most triumphant day.
Serial entrepreneur Dustin Baker visited us here at HQ and what an amazing time getting to know him better. We were connected by a mutual friend and this actual podcast and while on business dropped by FROPRO and dove right into It! He had a life event that changed his life and direction to focus more on discipline, balance, family and telling those you love the most what effect they have on you. Since the change he grew his passion for health and wellness into many different ventures and brands. He spoke candidly about ups/downs, success and failures and the prime time to get his work done where he is the most creative.
One of his newest ventures, BIOPROTEINtech is a non synthetic HGH formula that stimulates your bodies ability to maximize performance. I was fortunate enough to try the products in my daily routine in the evening time before sleep to maximize my overall sleep and recovery. Please go to their page and check out all they are doing at www.bioproteintech.com and on their instagram @bioproteintech. They are ready and able to answer any questions you may have. We hope you enjoy the show and thank you for tuning in. Have a most triumphant day!
One of the most candid conversations about the entertainment industry, social media and more took place mid march with Frankie. He's an entertainer, singer/songwriter, dancer, choreographer and puts all of his heart and soul into everything he does. I had the opportunity to sit down with him in the midst of his busy schedule of upcoming projects to really dive into what It means to strive for greatness in the entertainment industry these days. Frankie ended the year with a sold out concert venue for New Years and accomplishing one of his life long dreams of performing with and for Paula Abdul.
Frankie touches on the highs and lows, being real on social media and getting to know the real him. He explains that losses male the wins even better and ever since he was 11 years old he has been working on his craft and sharing It with the world. The challenge can be staying relevant in a constantly changing market and everyone having access to social media and putting out "inauthentic"material. His drive is to find the people that have the balls to take a chance and not just follow the algorithm that is dictated by social media. There is true talent out there and people are being overlooked for taking the time to become an established performance artist.
No matter what, he strives to bring joy to someone each and every day. He shares about his routine, constant implementation of ideas and willing to go the extra mile to connect, interact and relate to his fans. Please go check out his pages, see what he is all about and get to know the real FJZ. You can reach him on @fjzulferino on instagram and tik tok, his official webpage at www.fjofficial.com and on YouTube at officialfrankietv. Enjoy the show!
I met Jesse years ago at a mutual friends gym in Delray Beach Florida. He flashed a smile, laughed and ran into class. We stayed in touch over the years and would always catch up on the golf course during the summer rounds. This past summer, I was fortunate to connect with Jesse more and get a little more of his backstory with his journey from youth tennis phenom to professional tennis stallion.
He shared with me his dedication to the sport began at an early age and as a 3 sport athlete in high school he stuck with tennis. He loves a good challenge and was always characterized as one of the hardest workers on and off the court forgoing his social life in high school and college to rise to the top level of tennis superstardom by beating the world number 1 in 2009. Due to some nagging sports related injuries he celebrated an amazing career and returned to south Florida to continue his passion for teaching and running tennis programs, commentating and traveling for world tennis events.
Jesse and I spoke about the commitment It took as a professional athlete day in and day out which carried over into his personal life and how he operates today. Even though he is not playing professionally he carries the same attitude in working with his programs and those that love the game. He still likes to compete in celebrity tennis events, Pickleball and on the golf course. Please enjoy the show and check out what he's up to on instagram @jbow_87, on twitter @jesselevine7 and at the Boca Bridges Racquet club. Enjoy the show!
I met Jimmy through mutual friends. I had seen his large as life personality training at the gym, around the Delray Beach downtown area and then was formally introduced when getting my life together. His energy and passion for life are unmatched as when you speak directly with him he is usually telling you how grateful he is and all the blessings that God has bestowed upon him. If you have been in the downtown area chances are he has bought you a coffee, yelled across the street saying good morning or you'll catch him on one of his walks about town.
As a man of many talents, adventures that have taken him all across the globe and several successful business ventures It was great to have him on the show to dive into what makes him operate so well. We discussed his morning routine which begins early and with daily scripture and meditation before he leaves the house. It prepares him to go out into the world and spread love to anyone he comes into contact with. He also believes that It takes daily work, preparation and consistency to get anything done right. That combined with a strong faith and connection to a Higher Power as a guide.
Please enjoy the show and reach out to Jim at his email jimredgate@yahoo.com. He's a big face to face guy and getting a coffee might just change your life and perception. Enjoy the show!
I met Brandon and Alison through a mutual friend. I was told they were stating a new beverage business that they were incredibly excited about It. They were down south visiting family so we met up at FROPRO. I was instantly blown away by their kindness, story and passion for their new beverage startup which is a cold brew coffee preworkout called UNBARD. Both avid fitness enthusiasts that connected when the pandemic hit as they were working out at the neighborhood gym. They always had their coffee and preworkout and realized that there wasn't anything like that around so they began testing and doing hot coffee, pourovers which finally led to cold brew.
The fun behind the name is that they were both looking for something outside their corporate legal job. We got to sit down and talk about starting a business and doing It for the right reasons and truly loving each day you get. At some point they realized that while they loved law It wasn't something that saw as a long term life option. They knew It would take time like any good idea does but they stuck It out to perfect the right balance of taste & flavor combos. the result was a delicious, quick and easy drink to take prior to a workout. A delicate balance of taste, energy and awesomeness UNBARD coffee was ready to take to the masses. As the 2022 year began they brand new packaging was delivered right in time for the WODAPALOOZA Miami fitness event. People from all over the US were able to sample and taste their delicious product. Please check out all they are doing @UNBARDcofee, @Alison_martin or @brandonkrumins on instagram. You can also order on their website www.unbardcoffee.com. Enjoy the show!
Do you return the cart?
Are you too busy?
Do you think its someone else's job?
Why leave It on the grass or curb?
Why not just turn It over on its side and leave It in the middle of the parking spot?
How good would It feel to return It to where It belongs?
ie- the cart corral or at the front of the store
Just some thoughts to ponder.
Have a most triumphant day.
In a first time ever on the wake up the sun show we invited former guest, Adam Jablin back on the show to dive into entrepreneurship. The definition of an entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.
Adam was in the third generation silk/textile production family business. When the time arose for the family to sell It was a big life change and one that prompted a new career path. That career path was one that was to be for him to go on alone. He always had a passion for helping people and the heroes journey. By helping people discover what stands in their way, Adam works on the direct and honest conversation of "PLAYING ALL OUT" in every situation. From relationships, to business, parenting, mortality and other life goals his clients are able to reach their ultimate potential and live a life that they are proud of when all is said and done.
Adam and I discuss the challenges of living in the now and making sure that you aim to do everything in your life with tact, proper motive and involving yourself in experiences that are in line with your passion. There are many advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur and one of the most common themes is are you doing something for your business to help It grow or just "staying busy" to look like you are doing work.
This is our first deep dive into a specific topic with someone who started from the ground floor. It opens the doors to many more conversations that people struggle with daily. If you are seeking to change something in your life please visit Adam on instagram @adamjablin or on his website at www.adamjablin.com. You can also google THE HERO PROJECT to find out more information on Adam and everything he is up to.
Living in South Florida for close to 13 years now, I have met some incredible people with some amazing stories. On todays podcast I had the chance to speak with local artist, Cruise Bogle. We were connected by a mutual friend and while I had heard about Cruise and his story through the community and local charity events It was amazing to hear his story firsthand and what he's been up to.
In 2008, Cruise returned home to Delray Beach from college and was enjoying the beach life with his friends. In a crazy skim boarding accident, Cruise fell backwards and hit his head hard on the sand which paralyzed him from the shoulders down. In a split second his life changed in where he would relearn skills through intensive rehab, working with the Shepherd Center to regain strength in certain areas to return home and live life.
His passion for creating art has always been of interest and he began painting seascapes and other art with the use of his mouth. He's interested in building a massive portfolio in which he can express himself creatively though his art. His father recently adapted a way for him to paint using a spray paint gas mask to create other versions of art. Another medium is splatter art in which he can design different shoes, shirts and or canvases with a multitude of color by running over tubes of paint with the wheel of his chair. His newest passion, however is on the tech side and creating NFTs called the Curious Creature Collective which would be the first ever physically mouth painted generative NFT project in history. It launches April 4th, 2022.
Cruise opened up about how the pandemic changed everything for him and allowed him to focus on himself. We chatted about "toxic positivity", true honest communication with those around you, breathing and appreciating the day for what It is, prioritizing mental health, being a sex symbol, practicing kindness to all who you meet and avoiding being a jackass.
Please tune in, enjoy the show and go follow his amazing journey and check in on all he has going on. I promise It will be something you will not want to miss. You can find Cruise @cruiseybabbby, @cruisebogledesignss, @staycuriousnft on instagram or his website at www.cruisebogle.com. Thank you for listening and have a most triumphant day.
I met coach back in my first couple months living down in South Florida. As a recent transplant from NY, teaching and coaching at a local private school, I met Jeff while I was walking out to the baseball field. His team, coaching staff and energy was spread out across several different open fields and It was an absolute display of high intense energy and controlled chaos. I was informed of the lacrosse team legend upon moving down and accepting a teaching position but I had never seen anything quite like that when stepping out on the fields.
We both went different directions after that school year as I had a life change and Jeff was let go after 19 years as head coach and achieving multiple state championships. Think about that....A 19 year routine changed in an instant. I stayed in touch with coach over the years and we bumped into each other at different gyms and local events and he was always positive and carried that same intensity and passion for helping people into several new ventures. Today he still mentors his sons, many young gentleman in sports and life coaching.
He uses a unique term of finding your ZAZAZOO - which is what drives you to be your best in everything you get to do in a day. His daily routine allows for him to pack a lot into one day from meeting with those in the community, coaching, working out and balancing his love for the ocean, fitness, health and wellness. He aims to be and share being a better human being every day with anyone he comes into contact with. You can reach Coach on instagram @premierplayerslacrosse. Enjoy the show!
First time family member on the podcast and grateful to have my oldest brother on while visiting South Florida. His mission is to improve overall health, wellness and knowledge about oneself through breath work and hormesis. As my older brother lives in the shire of Vermont, I don't get to visit with him as often as I would like but last time I was there we jumped into an ice cold river during late October. Over the years, I watched him do his breathing, cold exposure and beam therapy prior to the river plunge but this was my first experience plunging into close to freezing temperatures. It was an exhilarating experience and one that I wished to replicate down in warm sunny South Florida which I was able to do with a chest freezer in my own garage. I began to study breath work and add into my daily routine in addition to therapy by studying the Wim Hof method during the pandemic.
I was happy to have Rob on the show after his Peak Flow workshop where he led several people through breathing protocols, restorative movement and cold therapy using Ice Barrel technology. His routine has been in place for years and whether at home or on family vacation he finds It extremely important to start every day the same way: breathe, meditate, move, plunge and set the intention for a successful day. Energy flows where the focus goes and he encourages TEAM HUMAN to take action in bettering their overall health one day at at time by doing things that may be uncomfortable. You can follow Rob on insta @dryakrob or @peakflow_ and please reach out with any questions regarding his upcoming workshops around the world. Please enjoy the show!
I have known Ian since he was a middle schooler. Watching him grow up and transform into a hard working full time student Columbia Dental School in NYC has been a gift. One of my favorite things during the holidays is when he and his sisters come home to visit and we get to spend time with them. This 2021 holiday season was cut short unfortunately with one of the most tragic accidents I've ever seen. While casually walking home in downtown Miami, Ian and his friend were tragically struck down in a hit and run accident. Life changed in an instant for Ian and thankfully he is in full recovery mode. From the trauma hospital and ICU, he was transferred to the Lynn recovery unit in downtown Miami and finally home.
While in the rehab facility, I had the chance to sit down and chat with Ian about how this life changing accident has changed his perception. He spoke about how one moment you are fully independent and then the next you are relying on someone to do everything for you and in extreme pain. He had to relearn how to walk, move and re-evaluate what is the most important in daily activities. He talks about working hard but not taking for granted the little things that now seem the most important. Im really grateful that he wanted to speak on something so life changing and shed some light on a changed perception and appreciating every day that we get. Enjoy the show and please reach out to Ian with any advice or support to keep the recovery process going @ianedelman on instagram. Enjoy the show!
I met Greg through his cousin in Delray Beach over the phone during the pandemic. We connected over fitness and loving life. I was fortunate to go on his podcast Midlife Male podcast to chat about topics on motivation, family, life, business and finding the WHY and HOW to get It all done. During the end of the 2021 holiday season Greg was visiting South Florida with his family and we had the chance to workout several times and I got to sit down and have him on the Wake up the Sun Show.
He is a coach and certainly practices what he believes and lives by. He goes into a deep dive with his clients and they focus on the 6Fs --- Family, Fitness, Finance, Food, Fashion/style and Fun. He examines these areas of life and figures out the why but really dives into the HOW which he believes is often overlooked. He helps people create a lifestyle that is truly sustainable and making sure that time is scheduled for everything needed to get accomplished in each day. Enjoy the show and please contact Greg @gregscheinman on instagram or his podcast midlifemale on any podcast platform or his website at www.midlifemale.com or by email at greg@midlifemale.com. Have an awesome day!
I first met Coach back at XPE over bags of FROPRO corner pieces. We stayed in touch over the years since both of us had connection to the fitness community here in South Florida. With the change that the Covid pandemic brought to everyone in the world It gave Andrew a chance to make a big decision and go off on his own from working with the same awesome crew for the last 10 years at XPE.
After serving our country, Andrew's fitness journey began down in south Florida in FAU after hearing a local trainer speak about the opportunities available for those willing to put in the work and get It done. He showed up day in and out alongside master trainers to assist in the NFL combine workouts to gain understanding and experience. There were many years of frustration but through his daily routine of consistently showing up, honing his training and time spent with clients he rapidly became one of the most sought after high school/collegiate coaches in the South Florida area. His motto of wanting to dig deeper and connect to his clients in all aspects of life are what leads him to success each and every day.
Please enjoy the show and you can connect with Andrew and opportunities to train with him on instagram @andrewspruill_. As he states with a sign off of the show,
"Nobody cares, work harder'"
I met Jaye Marie at a charity golf event several years ago and was blown away by her grace, gratitude and connection to her community & fans. She took the time to speak with everyone who came up to her for a photo, autograph and chatting about golf. It's rare to encounter someone that operates in such a way and follow her professional golf journey since. She began playing golf at the age of 11 and found it rather boring at first playing alongside her brother on a par 3 course.
Recently I ran into her on the golf course with her family and invited her on the show prior to the start of the 2022 golf season. We spoke about really wanting to have It more than anyone else when competing on the professional level as well as the seeking of "being in the zone" when everything clicks on and off the course. She is a believer in never giving up and has evolved personally and professionally over the years to give herself and others the grace that its not going to be perfect.
Please enjoy the show and follow the beginning of the 2022 season on the LPGA by following the LPGA leaderboard or her personal account on instagram @jayemgreen.
I met Shelby in 2017 while she was training and prehabbing a knee injury that would require surgery in 2018. This injury alone would have stopped most people right in their tracks. A tennis phenom from a young age in South Carolina, she competed and turned pro in 2010 with the (WTA) Women's Tennis Association. She has reached the ranking of 40th in the world this year with the defeat of several highly ranked players with no signs of stopping heading into 2022.
We sat down right before her departure to the Australian open to kick off the 2022 season and discussed the importance of routine, rituals and consistency. We spoke of the challenges of pursuing a professional sports career while balancing life and finding joy in every day things. It's not always fun and games and she spoke of how many times the thought of quitting crossed her mind throughout the years of training and competing.
Faith, gratitude and developing a well rounded lifestyle has led to more experienced joy. Please enjoy the show and follow along on instagram @shelbsrogers, Facebook and twitter Shelby_rogers_ for details and highlights in Shelby's 2022 life and tennis career.
I met Hayley through her brother Jeremy. She had watched his downfall and struggle with addiction. Through those challenges she created The Dreamer Project for her doctorate in nursing which focused on mind , body and spirit of those in recovery. Watching her brother change his life through a strong South Florida community of sobriety, fitness and fellowship, it became her mission to bring that to life in her nursing program and carry the message for years to come.
During a recent trip down to South Florida via Arizona for the yearly Temperance Training fundraiser, Hayley stopped by with her husband Chris to share what she is up to. Having graduated and packing a lot of life into a short amount of time she connected with a leading doctor who shared common values and ideas about how to treat people that are sick and suffering. From the assessment of vital signs to improve peoples daily life, Hayley aims to be of maximum service and value. She holds herself accountable daily by having a set routine for home, work and quality time with her family.
I hope you enjoy the show and if you want to learn more, there are several ways to reach Hayley directly. @hayley_avino_ @thedreamer_project_@thebarbellsaves

Back in 2015, I began training for the 2016 NYC marathon and one of the best parts about the training was connecting with the South Florida running community. Fleet Feet was the local running store and I asked the owner to help me properly train for the race and he invited me to the running groups that were hosted there. I met Melissa Perlman at one of the weekly group runs. Through social media we stayed in touch and I was blown away by the focus and determination that Melissa exhibited on a daily basis. She shared her life through her daily morning runs, workout regimen and balancing her personal and business lifestyle.
As someone who enjoys doing many different things in my day finding balance can be challenging. I have tried to get Melissa on this show for quite some time but between her busy training schedule, her own rapidly growing PR business she has limited time. It was awesome to hear about her balance and approach to training as she gets busier with life. She uses the calendar as her go to and dictates everything from the early start to her day until the end. Please enjoy the show and feel free to reach out to her @blueivycommunications and @melrunsfast. She is an inspiration to me and has a lot of helpful tips to keep going and fit all you love to do in one day. Enjoy!
Through a strange encounter at PUBLIX, I met Rebecca several months prior to actually introduced by personal friends and walking into her gym in Delray Beach. I was standing in the checkout line and as a snack maker I saw that she was getting some baking materials. I started firing off questions and I was clearly doing too much. When finally meeting her we laughed about It and got to try one of her amazing baked creations. Rebecca is an avid runner, Crossfitter and fitness enthusiast all while balancing school and becoming a nurse. Her passion to help others, push herself to new limits and hit goals is among many of the reasons I wanted to invite her on the show.
She firmly believes in never having a plan B. Get out there and get It done and adjust as you go If you plan to succeed you will and that's been her experience from her early days of fitness to completion of her nursing degree. She loves to push herself forward and enjoy as much as she can in life all with a smile on her face. Please enjoy the show and you can connect with her @reebs.campbell.np on instagram.
I met Kristina through mutual friends and she instantly became one of my favorite people with her sassiness, raw truth and ability to speak on any topic. What I love about her is that she is unapologetically herself and when I finally had the time to sit down and hear more of her story I thought she would be perfect to share It on the wake up the sun show.
We spoke about finding beauty in the mess that is life, sobriety, life changing events, challenging childhood to succeeding in finding her true passion. Please listen in as she talks about overcoming almost insurmountable odds to find peace, happiness, love and doing what she loves on a daily basis. Kristina is very involved with helping other women entrepreneurs, speaking out on what she believes in and changing the lives of others in the process. Enjoy the show and follow her @kristinalakehair and @beautybar on instagram.
With It being National Recovery Month, I found important to invite a good friend on the show that is a true patriot and has served this country. My friend Big Juicy aka George is a military man who served overseas and been deployed in several intense combat situations. His respect for this service and out of respect I do not ask for details but understand how these experiences has changed his life. Upon returning stateside he had some legal issues which landed him in prison for close to 3 years where he focused on doing his time. During that stint he stayed clean and sober, found his passion for cutting hair in his cell block but upon his leaving prison to return home to his family It wasn't long before his obsession returned and he fell hard.
The next couple of years were a combination of hard times at home and difficult conversations with family, friends and loved ones. Trying to get some clean time, balance family, job and everything else he wanted to accomplish was finally brought to a head when several of his closest friends spoke to him in a loving and direct way to get help or find himself without anything. One of the hardest things to hear, George did just that and is celebrating 2 years this month. He changed his life around to focusing on being the best father, husband, business owner and friend one could imagine. If you are looking to connect with him regarding sobriety, one of the finest haircuts you could imagine or have any questions you can reach him @bigjuicyfadez on instagram or @classic_styles_boca. Enjoy the show!
With it being National Recovery month one of the local legends down here with one of the best stories I've ever heard is Chris Finley. With close to 30 years sober his story starts with no high school education, a union job and most of his time drinking and trying to get through another day hoping It would be different.
I met Chris through mutual friends, social events in the community and the gym. I'm a big people watcher and watching him be a great husband, dad and person in the community was inspiring. It left an imprint so when I was invited to a planning event for charity in Delray Beach, we connected for the first time. Chris is soft spoken, direct and shares with us his journey of sobriety and what It took for him to seek help. He states that happiness is a byproduct of action and that action is needed every day we get to become the person we were created to be. From humble beginnings and many years of sobriety, Chris now lives and enjoys a happy, full enriched life in South Florida. A new grandpa, a thriving law office,a healthy marriage and the pursuit of celebrating a great day is his goal.
If you or someone you know is struggling please reach out to Chris simply by typing Chris Finley, Delray Beach in google. He's an amazing person here to spread the message that anyone can get help anywhere if they want It. Enjoy the show!
With It being National recovery month I found It important to invite one of my good friends on to share about his charity event in November. I have asked Faz for the last couple of years to come on and share his journey but he's esacped up until now. We were connected by a mutual friend and we stayed in touch ever since. Watching Anthony follow his dream for helping others in the recovery connected to his passion for helping those in the gym. He is the co-creator of Temperance Training here in South Florida which provides a weekly free workout to those looking to connect with other like minded people, get a sweat in and become a part of the community.
Temperance started as a small workout and has grown to several locations across Florida with other gyms adapting their off hours of 1-3pm to include a safe space for the sober community. Like most things It takes time to grow and understand how to best serve the community which he and his coaches have done in stride. With an amazing support group behind him, the generosity of Crossfit Hype in Boca and Delray, Anthony is continuing to show up every day and serve as best he can. Please listen in on how he approaches each day that he gets, his routines, rituals and what he finds most important in helping anyone. Grateful to have him share a bit of his story. If you or anyone you know is struggling please reach out and contact him and the Temperance organization @temperancetraining or @_coach_faz on instagram. Enjoy the show!
I met Julianne on a trip out west to visit some friends and was immediately immersed in some awesome conversations about life, love and her experiences. During a quick trip to South Florida, she dropped into the studio to dive a little deeper into her journey to where and what she is up to now. She is a licensed/experienced fitness trainer, Somatic Sexologist, trauma specialist, holistic health coach, avid outdoor enthusiast and liver of life.
Her experiences with training, fitness, coaching and some challenges led her to explore connecting to others that were going through the same thing. Through social media and several different platforms she was able to connect to those going through some of the same challenges and bring them some relief. She knew at that moment that online coaching, sharing her own journey and helping others overcome challenges in their life was her purpose. In her coaching she speaks about the true connection to oneself, sexuality, exploration, reclamation, experiencing and embracing pleasure, intimacy and bragging (which is a pretty awesome technique).
She is a truly awesome woman with an amazing message that can apply to anyone. Please enjoy the show and connect with her on her website www.juliannevaccaro.com, on instagram @juliannevaccaro and her own podcast @trppodcast. Enjoy!
Community is a wonderful thing and one of my favorite parts about living in Florida. There are so many people that end up down here for various reasons. I met Ryan through mutual friends and kept running into him at the gym and we ended getting to know each other a bit better over the years. During the pandemic he and his family left town for an opportunity elsewhere and that is what led me to finally ask him what he did for work because he could work from anywhere and on his terms. I found out that he does some amazing work with individuals, companies and strives to improve their life through various techniques with mind, body and spirit.
Fast forward to post pandemic and Ryan and his family are back in the community and he has landed a great opportunity with an amazing company to help countless people in the mental health and wellness field. Ryan has a tremendous background in coaching, therapy, advocacy and this South Florida community is very lucky to have him. He has also begun a podcast which links certain clients and their journey to BREAKTHROUGH things that stand in their way of personal development. Please enjoy the show and you can reach him via LinkedIn, Facebook, his BREAKTHROUGH podcast on major podcast networks and his website www.ryansoave.com.
I was connected to Kipp via a friend who had helped me while I was a rock bottom. While my friend Ross was in prison he connected me to this young man who has one of the most epic comeback stories I have ever heard in my life. From growing up with no parents, living on and off the streets learning how to survive, Kipp has overcome every possible obstacle and challenge one young man should endure. His way of life led him to federal prison and meeting some people that gave him a new outlook on life and the guidance to get from the streets to having a passion and purpose for wanting to change his life and the lives of other young men that have gone through indescribable life circumstances.
Leaving prison and working hard for that one chance to show the world what he was capable, Kipp went from being an inmate to one of the most sought after personal trainers and fitness directors in the Texas area and he never looked back. His philosophy is about not giving up, gravitating towards positivity and putting in the work day in and day out. If you are in need of some positivity, change in training or hearing an epic story than look no further. Kipp has turned tragedy in to triumph and is just warming up. You can follow him @streetz2fitness to learn more and be inspired. Enjoy the show!
Gym owner, Lululemon ambassador, father, husband, ironman are just a few words to describe my next guest. Ft Lauderdale trainer Sean Spire has an awesome routine and outlook on life getting 1% better every day in everything you get to do. I met Sean at a Lululemon event that had all the South Florida ambassadors gather in Miami to come sweat, dialogue, break bread and discuss their specific communities and how to best work together. Listening to the passion for his clients, personal and business goals allowed me to better understand what he was trying to accomplish. He survived the pandemic when It was one of the most challenging times for gyms and fitness facilities that didn't make It. He relied heavily on the philosophy on helping those that wanted help and increasing his attention to maximizing space and time to catapult his personal and online training.
Sean and I sat down to speak further on his routine, goal setting and balance of his family life that leads him to get better and hep others get better each and every day. There is a sense of loyalty and family at his facility Aspire fitness that everyone is there to help each other and see the best for everyone. Please enjoy the show and reach out to learn more www.aspiresportslab.com or on instagram @seanspire. Have a most triumphant day!
There are certain people that happen to stand out when you walk in the gym. At Crossfit Hype in Boca Raton one of those people happens to be Tommie Deprima. The level of athleticism, the focus and attention to her craft is what makes watching her workout the most fun. I met Tommie a couple years ago and connected by following her journey as an athlete and learned that she also has an amazing back story in the legal field as well. Two tough arenas to excell at which she seems to do with ease and comfort.
As time progressed I became more familiar with her so when I would drop by the gym and laugh about her following my lifting protocol and being pleased with her results I figured It would be a natural time for her to come on the show. The drive and focus I was aware of but listening to her story and how she got to where she is today was and is amazing to listen to. Her motto is to do whatever brings you peace and happiness each and every day. She follows a relatively strict routine but has her moments where she can be spontaneous and enjoy the life she has created with travel and friends. Please enjoy the show and you can find her on instagram @tdeprima to see what she's up to and future events she is competing in around the globe.
High-school, collegiate and professional football athlete were what defined Luke early in his life. He found himself achieving big dreams that almost any young man would wish to achieve in sports. All of that was not enough to fill the void he had which led him to lose everything in his sports career due to drug abuse. From playing on the New Orleans Saints to living a life with no reason or purpose that was until he got sober.
His journey from tragedy to triumph began when he turned his life over to God and found a connection with something greater than himself. He saw his future after losing a close friend to drugs and knew what his purpose was moving forward which was to carry the message to other young people that struggle with addiction and finding their way. His unapologetic message of faith, overcoming obstacles, honesty, love and tenacity has been felt in the South Florida community. His journey to share his story and shot at redemption is the ultimate goal and mark he will leave with anyone and everyone willing to listen.
Please enjoy the show and if you or a loved one are struggling please reach out to Luke and connect with him @luke_wollet
The power of connection and social media is what brought me to meet Mark. A friend connected us via social media because of Marks tremendous book and story about training for an Ironman. As I had just completed a half ironman, I was intrigued that someone had written a book about and documented their journey. What I came to find out is how much more to the story there was with Mark and all that he overcame in life. My first meet up with Eric was at the FROPRO gym when he was visiting South Florida. Two mutual friends had connected us through fitness and social media. I received a crash course in a serious training session which left me exhausted and motivated to get better. Over the holidays we were able to train, learn some tips to better myself for the ironman race I had coming up and eat some delicious food at some of our favorite restaurants.
We stayed in touch, visited Denver and while he was down here on business we had the chance to chop it up and i got to learn more about how he is able to live a life most would dream of. His daily routine consists of a good nights sleep, epic training sessions that include weight lifting, mountain biking, eating good foods, doing a massive amount of physical & mental recovery by cold plunges, meditation, breathing and the sauna all while being around his closest friends. This dream life was made possible by years of hard work, building small businesses, establishing connections all across the country.
You can find him now inspiring others, working with huge companies as a sponsored athlete and competitor. Please find him on insta @erichinman and follow along on an epic journey of living life to the fullest.
A chance meeting with Marc occurred after speaking with his father at a conference at the Boca Raton hotel. Listening to his father speak about him with so much reverence motivated me want to meet Marc to better understand what he was doing in life. At the time of our first meeting he was done coaching at the collegiate level and working for ESPN. We spoke about doing some business together and I could sense while passionate about sports and events that he was not where he was supposed to be. After following along he and his father began coaching together but this time in the business world.
He has created an amazing business that married his love for coaching to his passion for business and helping others. He and his father host a daily show at 8am on linked in every single day that gets people fired up and energized even more for the day ahead by having fun conversation, music and support for the community. If you or someone you know is not where they want to be professionally then I highly suggest you reach out to Marc on linkedin or @coachnudel on instagram or www.getontheballtraining.com and have a conversation because he is on the ball and here to serve.
I met Matt through friends several years ago. We reconnected last month and sat down to speak about his meditation practices and growing business. His passion for helping others stems from a battle with addiction and loss to an amazing journey to India which changed the course of his life. Matt creates passion and purpose for others by leading them through an amazing meditation practice of ritual, routine and consistency.
His morning meditation practice allows for him to set himself up for the rest of the day as in if you win the morning, then you win the day. He goes through several postural alignments of the body, taps into his practice and shares how it is possible for anyone to practice and begin to do the same thing.
He has many more amazing stories, life experiences and truths to help alleviate unnecessary suffering that he shares more about on the podcast and I hope you enjoy the show. I’ve known Tim since we rode the school bus together to elementary school. We grew up in the same small town across from each other on the public golf course. While playing golf was a fun activity for us growing up, it became Tim’s number one focus as he got older. It is one of the hardest sports to excel at, has a limited number of spots at the professional level and to get there is a grind.
Tim has spent years honing his craft, practicing, competing and developing a work ethic which focuses on discipline over motivation. He has had some rough patches along the way and it has made him stronger because of it. He’s not done yet and is giving It his all on the minor league tour this year with a chance of making It to the next level.
Please enjoy the show that’s filled with good child hood memories, laughs and the discipline it takes to play golf at a high level and keep going. Follow Tim's journey @timhegarty03.
Awesome to sit down with Jared Gordon and his coach to speak about his upcoming professional UFC fight. We get the chance to learn about his early beginnings in the fight world, the routine he created and the restart of everything after getting his life together. A fighter through and through, Jared has overcome some serious struggle personally and professionally to get to this point in his life.
He is preparing to crush this year and make it to the top of his class. An awesome journey of redemption and routine, he has found an equally bad ass woman who holds him accountable and who he plans to wed later this year. It has been a true pleasure getting to know Jared over the last couple years and witness the transformation of a badass, sober fighting machine.
Please follow @jaredflashgordon and watch his journey unfold. His story is incredible and his message simple and true. Enjoy the show!
I met Ashley several years ago at a local fitness event. We shared mutual friends and through social media have stayed in touch. I’ve witnessed her leave a high paying and lucrative career in the pharmaceutical industry to pursue health coaching. She has transformed the lives of many through her in depth approach to eating and routine. Her belief is to stop restricting and start eating by fueling yourself properly. Don’t know how? Well then she and her team are here to help.
We sat down and spoke about her transition from a 9-5 job to starting and operating her own business. She relates the highlights of business ownership, her journey to working with others and some solid advice on eating which prompted me to hire her for my triathlon training.
Please enjoy the show and make sure you go check out what Dr. Ashley Dwyer is up to @dr.dwyer and www.thebigdaynutrition.com for any questions regarding getting your health in check.

Childhood friend, little big brother and all around one of my favorite people on planet Earth is F. Timothy Foley. We have known each other since The Little School days which was pre-kindergarten in Westchester New York. One of the most challenging things in long term friendship is watching the other person self destruct in from of your very eyes. Tim watched as I lost everything through the 2000's until I sought help.
I brought my wife Chelsea back to my hometown for the 2016 marathon and went to visit Tim at his bartending job. It was so good to see him but could tell something was not right and he wasn't the same Tim. He acted it out well but the light was gone in his eyes. After spending some time we left and it brought tears to my eyes as I told Chelsea that would probably be the first and last time she would see Tim. His life was going nowhere, was unhappy and in full blown addiction to drugs and alcohol.
A few months later I got a call from a mutual friend who had flown Tim down to Florida to get his life together and was told he's all yours and it was a blessing in disguise. From a disheveled, long haired, frail drug addict to today is an absolute miracle. After several months of him fighting the process he gave in and gave sobriety a chance. His charming personality, ability to talk to anyone and his stubbornness allowed him to transform his life into what it is today. He has embraced life, become a willing participant in helping those less fortunate and found his true calling in the Treatment Industry where he is irreplaceable. He is my brother, friend and I'm grateful to have him in my life. Please enjoy the show and follow him on @f_t_82 on instagram to see what he's up to.
Harrison New York's favorite son, Rudy was an all star athlete, hometown hero and all around good guy. He played many sports and excelled well into higher education. It all went downhill after he got into a construction accident when finishing college. That accident propelled him into a reliance on drugs and alcohol which continued into his young adult years until he landed in South Florida. He left his family and friends up north to come down to Florida and get treatment and change his life at 29 years of age.
Watching Rudy put in the work, help others and change his life has been an amazing journey. He went from working as a bus boy at a local restaurant, to working in the corporate field of drug and alcohol treatment to give back and help others. His real passion has always been helping people with their interest in sports, health/wellness and fitness. He has begun his own fitness journey by creating his personal training business and coaching group fitness in at PIT fitness in Boca and Boynton Beach. He has a new lease on life, gratitude for his family, friends and community. You can reach out to Rudy @rudyarcara on instagram and facebook. Hope you enjoy the show!
The stories were that of legend when I first was told about Zach from meeting his mother through several friends. He was a guitar playing, song writing machine that lived in LA and had immersed himself in one of the hardest businesses to break into at such a young age. That success and lifestyle led him down a challenging and difficult path where he came to the realization that he wanted to be better, live and get sober.
After getting sober, Zach launched himself into what he loves most: Music. He started teaching lessons and helping local bands rehearse and play at local venues. This led to the opening of his own place On Stage Studies in central Boca which prompted him to finish school and immediately enroll into business school to learn more. An avid historian and information junkie he learned and implemented his schooling directly into his business. He began writing music and found himself releasing a new album which several songs hit the top of the charts among many highly regarded musicians.
Zach defines hard work and getting the job done even though it may be on his own time or a couple minutes late. He helps people and does whatever he can to serve those around him while balancing an incredibly regimented fitness, school and business schedule. Please check out his newest album Street Fights from his band Redrum Society and follow the entertaining journey @redrumsociety on instagram.
I met Rayna several years ago when she walked into one of my classes at a local fitness studio. Her energy, passion and attitude were contagious as she crushed the workout and smiled the whole way through. We remained in contact and over time and I watched her selfless giving, teaching, coaching and passion for life unfold. Rayna has an innate ability to speak with anyone, anywhere and it goes beyond being friendly, she genuinely cares and you can feel it when with her. With all the change in the last year, she was able to go out on her own, start her own company, write a book and still find time to make every minute count in her day.
There are people that talk about change and taking action and then there are people that get to work and do it. Rayna is one of those people who gets it done, smiles and is an amazing woman in the community home and abroad. Her daily routine has variety and her unceasing work ethic unmatched. Enjoy the show and please go check out what she is up to @the_rose_grows. You can also check out her new book and upcoming kickstarter campaign for The Girl Who Said Hello to Everyone in the show. The restaurant business isn't for everyone! For Troy Ganter, he was born into it and learned from a young age what it was like to be in the front of the house to the underbelly of everything involved in with restaurants. Fresh from the beat laboratory in East Boca where he makes music and spends some personal time banging away on the drums, Jordan and I discuss his routines with work, fatherhood, sobriety, weight loss and fitness and what it takes to move forward in an uncertain time. Jordan works in the treatment industry and helps as many people he can on a daily basis, on his off time he really enjoys his mornings and evenings with his son and being a present father figure in his life. When he is not traveling for work, he also enjoys playing and producing music.
His morning routine is heavily influenced by music and disappearing into the sounds of getting ready for the day. His routine can change as he evolves in sobriety day to day. When working with others, he asks the important questions and helps people realize that their journey is their own. They get to tailor make their own life so they do not live in the past or the future. His biggest focus is doing what you can right now and make it your best. He emphasizes enjoying the now and keeping it moving while listening to some triumphant music. After graduating from college and entering Physician Assistant school, Brandon Brennan needed a change. He decided he still wanted to help people become healthier, but he wanted to do it in a different way. Rather than treat patients in a hospital setting, he wanted to help his clients avoid the hospital altogether.
Brandon went through his weight struggles in college. At 30 lbs overweight, he got mad at himself and decided to take action. He chose to make changes in his life, get out of his comfort zone, and spread his own experiences to other people.
After working for other gyms and learning about what best motivated his clients, Brandon was able to establish his own gym last year and has been building it ever since. Get Fit Academy is not your average gym. There's loud music, club lighting, and even (wait for it) smoke machines. Brandon believes that having fun and loving what you're doing is at the core of success, and creating an energized, positive space is an essential part of that equation.
