Here on the Living Parables Podcast we dig deep into God's Word to seek divine truth and to draw near to God. We are here to glorify Jesus Christ with every season, every episode and every word that is spoken. We are also here to encourage you on this journey of life because while it can be difficult, God has given us everything pertaining to life and godliness. So sit back, relax and together we'll see that God is good.

Today we look at a selection of Scriptures to inform us on how we ought to speak. The Lord is very clear on how His children and followers conduct themselves in their speech.
Today is a special episode because we typically teach out of the Bible but this story I have for you leaves you in awe of God. This story demonstrates God's providence, sovereignty and God working in lives in a powerful way!
Today, fresh after Resurrection Sunday...we ask the question...Now what? We are going over today 3 quick topics of focus. Today marks the last study in the Standing Firm Series. The takeaway I want everyone to know in this series is this: In order to Stand Firm we must Put on the Full Armor of God, Bear the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and Increase in the Spiritual Qualities in 2 Peter 1. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this wonderful journey. In Matthew 10:22 it says, "You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved." We must Stand Firm to the absolute end! God be with you all!

Today we are going to be studying the importance of friendship and brotherhood. In these dark days, we need close brothers in Christ. Jesus prayed for us all to be united in Him and God the Father, we must make this one of our top priorities. In the church today and in this world, through time and circumstances, there has been an uptick in isolation. Many try to be an island and lone wolf their walk with God but when you read God's word you will see that God teaches us that we need each other. In conclusion, we are going to look at the greatest example of friendship/brotherhood in the Bible...and that is of David and Jonathan! God bless you all!
This Episode is one that is near and dear to my heart...Prayer! This vital component to our walk with the Lord and it's importance cannot be stressed enough. As we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so also should our prayer life. We will discover today that we are to fight the good fight and to prepare our minds for action because as the world is getting darker by the minute, the True Light of Christ shines brightest within us. Therefore, it is our honor, duty and privilege to let Jesus Christ's light shine from the inside out, displaying His marvelous light for the world to see. We must stand out and stand firm!

This world produces nothing but despair, worry and anxiety. In the Sermon on the Mount, the Greatest Sermon in history, Jesus tells us "Do Not Worry!" three times! There is a reason for that! On this journey with Jesus, we know in Romans 12:2 that we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Identity is such a hot topic in our culture currently and today we are going to shed light on what identity is and what identity means for the believer in Jesus Christ.

Today we reflect and talk about the days when a nation stopped and prayed for someone and lessons we learned from it.
Hebrews 12 is such an amazing chapter in the Book of Hebrews. Although it is unknown who the author of Hebrews is, the True Author is the Holy Spirit. In this Chapter we go into how to persevere in the faith and why it is important to keep pursuing sanctification. Now more than ever, we need to fix our eyes on nothing else other than Jesus Christ, who is the Author and Perfecter of our faith. This life can get wearisome, believers can get worn out...but one thing we must do is to keep running the race with endurance because God is with us every step of the way until we get to Heaven.
The mercy of God is a vast and wonderful study! As we go through today's episode, we will explore 7 points, beginning with Who God is all the way to By Mercy We Are Pardoned from Judgment and Granted Salvation. In Romans 12:2 it says: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. In the transformation process we don't always see instantaneous results or bear the fruit we think we ought to right away. Transformation cannot occur without the sanctifying work of Scripture by the power of the Holy Spirit! The deeper we go into Scripture and a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord...the results will start to reveal themselves. Today...Romans 12:17-21 is our main scripture text which shows us what a transformed mind in Christ looks like. Last exhortation, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (v21)! Amen!

In 1 John 1:8-9 we see the danger of self-righteousness and the blessing of confessing our sins. Today we look at the Rich Young Ruler and Zaccheus and determine who fits either v8 or v9. Bigger question is...Which are you?
As we look back on 2022, let us look back in praise to God and not stay in 2022. God's mercies are new every day and this new year is another year of mercy. God bless you all!

There are many trials, stresses and anxieties that are thrown at us on a daily basis. Fear is a four letter word that steals our joy and renders us paralyzed to walk in the ways of the Lord. Our God is a God who is great and is a God who delivers us from all of our fears and troubles! Trust in the Lord!

Today we are blessed to upload a study from the Wisdom App about the Holy Spirit. We are in John 14 and by the grace of God we had a guest which was fruitful and powerful!
In Chapter 3 I want to highlight that the goal of life is Christ and Christ alone. We are not citizens of this Earth but our true citizenship awaits us in Heaven, where our Lord is. This is the goal, this is the mission and this is of most importance...to pursue the heart of Christ with everything that we possess and to live for Him.
We are going through the entirety of chapter 2. This chapter shows us why it is important to walk in humility because Christ walked in humility. If we are His disciples then we will do what He says and follow His Holy example.
The conclusion of Chapter 1 leaves us with two major highlights that we must live by with the utmost fidelity... To live is Christ and to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Cannot wait for Chapter 2!
As we enter the middle of season 4, I am so thrilled to be starting this BRAND NEW book study on the book of Philippians! This is such a powerful book and chapter 1 starts off with a bang! We see in these first 20 verses that despite the dire circumstances Paul was in, that it turned out for the greater progress of the Gospel of Christ! Whatever circumstance we are facing right now, let us have the attitude of Paul! No matter what we must endure, it will be for the greater progress of the Gospel!

The question posed today is Where are you Planted? This is a question that we must pose to ourselves as we tarry through this life. Are you planted by streams of living water or are you planted in the barren wasteland of this world? If you are of this world, there is living hope in our only hope...Jesus Christ! Amen!

Far too often do we stray away from God's path into spiritual neutrality. We are not supposed to be idle, neutral or lukewarm but there are circumstances and difficulties that at times lulls us into it, spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. If you are spiritually neutral, idle or lukewarm then this is the study for you to get you out of it and back to a spiritually focused mindset to what God has called us to be.

Today's study is one that is near and dear to my heart. In the past month, I have encountered several people who want to know what God's Word says but are unable to find a church or anyone to teach them. The majority of people are unaware of what God's Word says and as a result the world has continued to free fall deeper into disparity. We as believers in Christ are the only hope and light of this world and it is our duty to share the truth/love of Christ and His Word to everyone!

As we kickstart our newest Season, we are faced with many trials in this life. Our world is spiraling out of control but there is One who knows all things, God. God has perfect knowledge and infinite knowledge regarding all things. No matter what we are going through or what is going on with our world, nothing escapes the eyes and knowledge of our great God. I am so blessed to be starting season 4 off, join us every week on Thursdays to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through the Holy Word of God!

Today marks the completion of our Ephesians Book Study! It has been a true blessing of sanctification in my life and I pray that it has been for yours as well! Today we explore and dig deep once again into the armor of God. We are called to put on the FULL armor of God every single day because the days are evil and the struggle is not against flesh and blood. Due to that, the armor of God is our only defense against the spiritual darkness that is looking to overtake us, but thanks be to God who leads us in triumph in Christ!

In this powerful chapter in which God shows us how we are to be united in the Spirit as well as how we are to conduct ourselves. This chapter is a great benchmark on how to live towards God and towards others. This study is powerful and enriching to the soul; I pray that you are blessed as I was blessed in studying it!
In Chapter 3 we traverse through how Paul was used to spread the Gospel of Christ to the Gentiles. We are able to see how we can be united as believers in Christ's Church and that the fullness of God needs to be what we pursue as individuals and as the body of Christ. Three more chapters to go!
We reach the end of chapter 2 of Ephesians with a study on how we went from strangers of God. We went from being separate from Christ without hope to being a part of God's family as beloved children! We also discover no matter our nationality, social status or economic status that those barriers that man creates as divisions are all destroyed so that we can become one under Christ.

The first half of this study is a grim reminder of the deadly peril of sin which we used to walk in. We were sons and daughters of disobedience and by the wonderful grace of God, the kind intention of His will, by His Mercy He made us alive in Christ! We were absolutely dead in our trespasses but God is abounding in love made a way to bring us back to Him and to raise us up to be with Him and that was through Christ!

As we conclude the last 8 verses in chapter 1 we learned about our future inheritance, redemption, chosen before the foundation of the world and how God strengthens us by His Holy Spirit through Christ! So much richness in chapter 1 and we are just getting started! God willing we will start chapter 2 and you don't want to miss out on that!

Today marks a special book study of Jude! I know what you are thinking...isn't Jude only 1 chapter? The answer is yes! Jude is such a powerful book that was inspired by the Holy Spirit to combat the dangers of false teachers and apostasies. This study is aptly timed due to the times that we are in and those of us who are true believers in Jesus Christ need this to encourage us and equip us to battle against the spiritual dark forces that are so prevalent in the world today.
It is hard to believe that we've have arrived at the end of this wonderful study of Colossians! It has been a wonderful journey that I have been on and I am so grateful to God for. In this final episode in this study series we discuss how God wants us to conduct ourselves towards unbelievers. I pray that as you go forth from this study that your conduct towards outsiders is wise and that you make the most of every spiritual opportunity. That your speech is is with grace, seasoned with salt so that you will know how to respond to each person's heart. Today we study about a subject that has been under attack the last decade, the family. God has ordained the family to be what He intended it to be, a man in a holy union of marriage with a woman in which they produce children and pass righteousness onto them. In this study we dig in deep into what it means to be married and what we must do as followers of Christ in the sacred bonds of marriage. God bless you all!
Colossians Chapter 3 has become one of my favorite chapters in the Bible, such deep sanctifying spiritual truth that we so desperately need for our souls. We need to keep seeking and setting our minds on things above where Christ is. Our identification is no longer ourselves or what the world says we are, but our true identification is in Christ. Christ must be our life, there is no room for second place. He is our all in all and one glorious day we will be revealed with Him in glory! Amen!
We conclude the second chapter of 4 in the book of Colossians. In this final passage of scripture we are warned to avoid ritualistic, legalistic and mysticism that is so prevalent today. The substance is found in Christ alone and through Him we can overcome all the temptations and false teachings that have led many astray. Stand firm in Christ, let nothing move you from Him!
This I feel is a very powerful episode that left me in awe of Christ! There are many empty philosophies and deceptions out there right now but in Christ we are firmly established, rooted and built up so that nothing or no one can shake us. We are continuing on in our walk through Colossians. In verses 13 through 20 we get a clear and concise picture of who Christ is in all of His deity! Christ has the preeminence and superiority over all things and in Christ all things hold together!
We are kicking off our first in depth book study! We are starting off with the wonderful book of Colossians. I am so excited to start this and I truly hope you will spiritually benefit from this study! We are going deeper and deeper into Christ and what a joy it is to be His disciple!
This is a Bible study that I did on Acts 17:24-31 and I wanted to share this with you all! This is real and authentic and I pray that this is spiritually edifying for you! God is so good!
Are you a good person? That was a trap question because if you are a true believer in Christ your answer is a resounding no. This story that most of us are probably familiar with is a tragic story of hearing the gospel and walking away from it. This is a sad story of valuing the world over the surpassing value of Christ Jesus and the life that He gives to all who come to Him in repentance and faith.
In this day and age, in this culture, the righteous disciples of Christ cannot sit back any longer. We must be bold as a lion in our faith! We need to be in the Word and prayer daily! We have been given such a hope and power and we cannot sit idly by any more, we must be bold!
Season 3 is here and we are starting off with a bang! One of the most comforting, amazing and humbling teachings of the Bible is the sovereignty of God. He is sovereign over all things and in this episode we go over 5 points that will help us understand this more clearly. I am so thrilled to be back for season 3 and I pray that you are blessed because of it!
What a ride it has been, what a blessing! As we wrap up season 2 today, we reflect on the journey of season 2 and give you a sneak peak into the future direction of the podcast, Lord Willing! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for walking this narrow road with me this season, it has truly been a blessing in my life and you are a blessing to me as well! The break between season 2 and 3 will not be long, so until I meet with you again, let us immerse ourselves in God's Word, pursue the heart of Christ, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, put on the full armor of God, produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit and increase in the spiritual qualities found in 2 Peter 1! I look forward to season 3 and I pray that God would richly bless you all in our Lord Jesus Christ!
Our episode today is one that is intense. Far too often we as believers sit idly by as this spiritual war rages on. We are called to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. We are also called to put on the full armor of God and we too often we neglect to take it up, we leave it stored away. Today's call to arms is just that, a call to arms! Our battle is not against flesh and blood and to be able to stand firm against evil we must once again put on the full armor of God!
To conform or to be transformed...that is the question. We look at two spiritual conditions that will either lead to eternal destruction or paradise. Conformity is the easiest thing in the world because all you have to do is what you want, when you want. Being transformed by Christ means that we were one way, and now we are completely different. Do you know what prayer truly is? Is it about chanting the same thing over and over, is it about praying with beads in your hands, is it a ritual? It is none of those things, by any means. We are looking at Scripture today to define what prayer is and how we should pray! Prayer has helped me walk closer with God and combined with being in Scripture daily, that leads to our deeper sanctification.

God tells us that trials will come and there will be difficulties, but He promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. We are called to walk the Narrow road, this road is not for the faint of heart but for those who are true followers of Jesus Christ. We will discover what it means to walk the narrow road because walking on this road will lead to eternal life in Heaven.
As we wrap up this series, what a ride this has been! The ultimate goal is being able to be in the presence of God Almighty, forever worshiping Him in all of His splendor. Being able to look upon the One who died for us and to bow with a grateful heart. He is so gracious and compassionate that He lifts us up from bended knee and glorifies us as He is...wow!
A journey of a 1,000 miles begins with a single step... this was last week and now we are on this lifelong spiritual journey with Christ. Progressive sanctification is just that, a lifelong progression in which the ultimate goal is to be conformed to the image of the Son of God. Being Christlike is the goal and today we are going to steps to help sanctify us into His image.
Today we are going to dig into the first category of sanctification...positional sanctification. Where do you stand with God at this moment? This is one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves and with Jesus Christ we are able to stand before a righteous, holy God.

In all humility I feel that this is a powerful episode in which you are going to experience how much God loves you. Run into Gods' arms of love and be forever comforted and satisfied! There is no greater love than the divine love God offers you.
