Rich, Matt and Tom return for what was supposed to be the Halloween episode of VGS but we never got to Halloween... so... yeah. Anyway, the crew discusses Microsoft's purchase of Activision Blizzard is finalized, Sony introduces the slim PS5 models, Best Buy to discontinue DVD, Blu-ray, 4K physical releases both in-store and online by early 2024. We also begin a new series on our top 25 video games. In part one, Rich and Tom reveal their top 25 and discuss the reasons behind their choices.

While movies definitely dominated the episode, we also touch on fast food, TV, our childhoods, and yes, even video games crept into the room. After being off an additional week due to illness, schedule conflicts and flooding, the crew of Rich, Bob, Jake, Chuck and Matt return. So, just to clarify a couple of things. First, all apologies for the audio interference that occurs throughout the show. We had a short in a cable that was not discovered until after the show was recorded. We did our best to post edit, but it is still in the background a bit. The cable has been replaced and it should not happen again.
Second, before recording, we had an amazing chicken dinner. How amazing was it? Well, let's put it this way. You know people get kinda nutty if they eat a bunch of sweets? Sort of like that, but instead we got hyped on chicken. It made for an interesting show to say the least. I'm just going to leave it there. You'll have to listen to find out.

After almost not recording and agreeing to do a shortened show, Rich, Addy & Patrick got real serious about the state of gaming. After starting out with responding to emails we got real on the gaming industry. It got weird, but in that awesome kind of way. You just need to listen to the show that almost didn't happen.
Okay, so if it wasn't enough that we had tech issues at the ___ all day, we just had trouble getting our heads together on this episode after our longest gap without an episode. Sorry again about that, between the holidays and Rich being sick for like three weeks, we ended up off for longer than planned. Anyway, we promise we will be back in normal form next week. Then Kraft, Rich, Keith and Ben from Well Bred Rhino play a bunch of mulitplayer games while riffing them as well as random talk about games. Rich then has a retro movie review that not only makes Kraft extremely happy, but sets off a powder keg in studio. You just need to hear this to believe it.

Since id software released Wolfenstein 3D I have always had a special place in my heart for FPS's. This along with the highly anticipated nature of Huxley means that I can and will happily dedicate my time to playing the game as well as providing all of the feedback I can. I can think of no greater sense of accomplishment than helping make this game the best it can be.

The VGS studio exploded today. Well, not exactly exploded but it was out of commission. We decided to take this opportunity to test a live broadcasting setup from a random room in Kraft's house! Hadoken. kinda. We subjected ourselves to the new Street Fighter movie so you don't have to. In hindsight I would have rather stuck to the original plan of drinking acid and burning the soles of our feet with lit cigarettes.
