Happy Holidays everyone!!!  We shall return in 2019!!!

Oh yes, for one last time, the Bombed Out Radio Network crew invades The U.  Join Rich, Keith and Addy in studio, along with Nick Kraftor, Big Josh, Ron and Kevin via Discord, for one last show at UMSL Radio The U.  Memories of the UMSL era will be discussed, along with what everyone has been up to.  We also go on a strange adventure in the world of Twitch, Ron has some Would You Rather questions for us, we take calls, and so much more.

Bonus: Due to the comedy of errors that occurred, the previously only streamed pre-show has been included in this episode.  Enjoy.

Please note the audio is a bit rough at times and the volume can jump now and again.  This was due to recording in a brand new set up that we had less than a few minutes to figure out.  We apologize.

Wow, this was so not planned.  In fact, coming off of Rich and Matt's two-man show last time, we weren't even sure a show was going to happen Thanksgiving week.  Well, not only did a show happen, but everyone came home.  Yes, the entire crew of Rich, Addy, Kurt, Matt, Bob and even Jake are full of holiday cheer and put on a little show.  We discuss Black Friday deals, Fallout 76 release, Spyro Remastered's disc being pretty worthless, kidney stones, a grown man throwing a temper tantrum at GameStop, and so much more.  We hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and if you need an escape from the family, you are always welcome at the VGS Thanksgiving table.

Yep, it is that time of year when schedules and people's lives just get crazy.  Not to worry, we still have a new episode of VGS.  Rich and Matt take this one on their own, a throwback to the early days of recording out of Game Trader II back in the day.  The guys talk emails, Red Dead Redemption II, Sony PlayStation Classic full game reveal, IGN misreporting P.T. downloads disappearing,  AT Games dropping the ball big time, and so much more.

Happy Halloween everyone!  Rich, Matt, Bob and Kurt report in for their annual Halloween episode of VGS.  Not to worry, we do discuss what is going on in the world if video games, including wondering if we'll ever get more games announced for the PlayStation Classic, some money saving tips, Red Dead Redemption II release and much more.  Then we get into the spirit of things and read emails, Kurt reports on his Blair Witch hunt, Rich talks about seeing Halloween (2018), we get attacked by cave crickets, and even more.  It is packed episode, so it back, pack in some Halloween treats and enjoy.

Movies on TVs: Evil Dead 2, Insidious, The Exorcist, In the Mouth of Madness, From Dusk Til Dawn, Jacob's Ladder.

The chopped crew of Rich, Matt & Bob are back, left to their own devices on an all new episode.  Of course we get to emails and discuss many topics from Red Dead Redemption 2 & Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's upcoming releases and massive installs/patches, the flood of new games in the coming months, what we would do if we reopened Toys R Us, how to find time to game with families, outdated tech issues the young will never have to deal with, collecting and other hobbies, and so much more.

Once again we have a full house this week, where so many things will be discussed, impressions will be made, minds will be shattered, and tables will be pounded upon.  For the crew of Rich, Bob, Kurt, Matt and Addy, nothing is sacred, nothing is off limits, nothing will be not somehow mixed with a Cosby impression.  Oh yeah, it is a show that should have probably been only 50 minutes long, but we ended up with an hour more.  How do we do it, come on in and find out.

While we are in full swing of the Fall/Winter game release flood, video game news has all but disappeared.  No worries, we still have a show for ya.  Rich, Bob and Matt read submissions and announce a winner of the email giveaway, discuss upcoming game releases, recent movies we watched, the great era of video stores, and so much more.

View Details

What happens when the gaming world gives Rich, Matt & Bob very little to talk about?  Well, you get a show like this.  While we did discuss some gaming, we also discussed movies we've never seen, Kevin Bacon, Saturday Night Live, procedural TV shows, and so much more!!!

Yes, as in Garfield the cat.  Anyway, welcome to an all new episode of VGS!!!  Rich, Kurt, Matt & Addy discuss Garfield, go through emails, announce an email giveaway, recap MO Game Con 2018, discuss Twitch player Ninja swearing off girls, EA is at it again, and a game company we love doing something insane and why GameStop should be getting real nervous.  All this and so much more on this week's episode!!!

We have reached the week of Mo Game Con 2018 (www.mogamecon.com) and the crew is super excited.  Rich, Bob, Addy, Matt & Kurt discuss all things Mo Game Con 2018.  Also emails are read, Kurt's plugging discussed, GameStop ending the Elite Rewards program, retail store difficulties, toy companies having issues, and so much more.  Remember, you can meet all VGS crew members on August 4 at Mo Game Con 2018!!!

Seriously, Kurt was full of the plugs this week.  Heck, I forgot halfway through what show I was listening to.  Join Rich, Bob, Matt, Kurt and Addy for an all new VGS.  We, as always, spend time reading your emails, talk Mo Game Con 2018 and general convention advice, the release of Sonic Mania Plus, Matt discovers Captain Toad on the 3DS, Rich spends his last show in his 30s, and so much more.

View Details

Alright, I'll be honest, things got crazy on this episode of VGS.  We had a full cast of Rich, Matt, Bob, Addy, Kurt and the return of Jake.  Not only was that crazy, but with the next day being Independence Day, some folks were drinking and others were just in a slapstick mood.  It is one of those super fun shows.  In addition to emails, Addy reports back from NYC, Kurt talks Chicago and an amazing arcade, the release dates of Shenmue ! & II, Atari VCS Indiegogo campaign concluding, the re-release of the NES Classic, and so much more!

Yes, it is that time of year again.  E3 has come and gone.  Did you miss out?  No worries.  The crack reporting team of Rich, Matt & Bob will break it down for you.  We also read emails, discuss unpopular opinions about gaming, drift away into non-gaming conversations much to Matt's disgust, promote Mo Game Con 2018, as well as an upcoming Addy appearance, and so much more!

A tiny crew by comparison to recent episode, but profound nonetheless.  Join Rich, Matt & Bob as the read emails, talk Mo Game Con 2018, discuss Rich's disbelief in the Atari VCS presales, predictions/hopes for E3 2018, and finally get to discuss music.  Have any comments or questions, please email vgsmailbox@gmail.com, we love getting emails!

After a bit of a break, the VGS crew is ready to tantalize your ear holes with a brand new episode.  Once again Jake is absent, but in his place we have a blast from the past guest Kurt in his place, and he brought beer, and Addy brought Oreo cookies, and things get goofy.  In addition to emails, the crew discusses Mo Game Con 2018, Capcom's bad decisions, CoD Black Ops IIII (yeah, that is how they are displaying that) online only, just how much money Fortnite makes, 1999, and so much more.

View Details

Addy, Bob, Matt and Rich are back for another episode.  It started out about video games.  Talking new release announcements, Far Cry 5, God of War, reviewing games without playing them, game recommendations...it was going like clockwork.  Then somehow it went off the rails and we talk movies, syndicated TV shows, cats almost ruining the show, and more.

View Details

It is rare that you can pinpoint a moment where someone says something so outlandish that you can actually hear in the silence the collective think "well, this person needs to go."  This happens on this episode, and Addy said the thing.  Join Rich, Addy and Matt as they cover emails and very limited amount of gaming related news.  We resume our movie conversation as well as talk Adult Swim, TV in general, Rich gives thoughts on Wrestlemania, Matt organizes his music, and Addy says the thing that shocks Matt and Rich to total and complete disbelief (if you listen carefully, you can hear their minds crack).

View Details

The whole gang is seated for an all new VGS.  We are back to focusing on the world of video games this week as there was actual gaming related things to discuss.  We cover emails, some new release announcements, the Atari VCS, Game Informer's Top 300 issues, and more.

View Details

We've been threatening it for some time, but it finally happened.  Yes, in a two week period the world of video games gave us nothing, so rather than do no show or a short show, we brought back the tradition of the Bombed Out Radio podcast and instead talked about whatever we wanted.  While movies definitely dominated the episode, we also touch on fast food, TV, our childhoods, and yes, even video games crept into the room.  Join Rich, Matt, Bob and Addy for a bunch of random talk, or as we used to say, "one of those shows."

View Details

So, this is one of those episodes that we have now and again.  We have a plan to talk just video games, yet we kept going onto side roads, off topic rants, local geography, and so on.  These are always fun ones.  Don't worry, there is still plenty of video game talk along with so many odd turns.  Enjoy!

The extended holiday break has come to an end and the VGS crew has a new home base!  Join Rich, Matt, Bob & Jake on a brand new episode of VGS.  Along with your emails, the guys discuss many things from is there an oversaturation of the "limited" game market, the Super NT and other new gaming tech, Jake's latest YouTube project, Matt being an optimist, and something to do with cardboard.

Please note there is a change in audio towards the one hour, three minute mark where our main recorder went offline and had to use audio from the backup recorder.  Hopefully this was an isolated thing and doesn't happen again.  Apologies & Hugs. -Rich

After the holiday break, the VGS crew returns for the first episode of 2018.  The crew (Rich, Matt, Bob, Addy & special guest Anthony) discuss Christmas, video game addiction, Switch sales, Jake's collection, and have a live tasting of the new Super Mario Cereal.

VGS is famous for going off topic.  Tonight features one of the oddest (and longest) examples of going super off topic in the middle of a story.  Join Rich, Bob, Matt & Addy and see where the ride takes you.  Other items covered include Nintendo producing more NES Classics, Malaysia blocks Steam usage, Nintendo branded Western Digital SD cards coming soon, Sonic Mania on PC must have an Internet connection to play, Matt and Rich talk Destiny 2, and Bob unboxes some packages he got on the way to the show.

Major thanks goes to the listeners, as always, but especially this episode for making the episode possible.  Yes, apparently the game industry got lazy on us and there was like no news to report.  Thankfully your emails kept Rich, Chuck, Jake & Bob afloat this week.  In addition to that, hear the latest about MO Game Con II, GameStop insane trade credit offer (now over), and other random topics that pop-up along the way.

What can I say here...really, what can I say?  We almost didn't have a show this week due to lack of news, but then the SNES Classic got announced and we were all like "yeah, we can do this."  Then things got a bit out-of-hand, some inappropriate things were said (Jake), we heard about someone's creepy uncle (Jake), animals were touched inappropriately (Jake) and, well, yeah...Happy 4th of July!!!

After being off an additional week due to illness, schedule conflicts and flooding, the crew of Rich, Bob, Jake, Chuck and Matt return.  Despite being faced with a slow news week (we had one story...that's it...one), thankfully we were able to still have a full episode.  In addition to the one news story, we covered emails, we finally (sorry we ignored you) hit up Twitter questions, discuss the latest MO Game Con news (hint, tickets on sale now, VIP tickets going fast, go to www.mogamecon.com for a link to buy your tickets now), and so much more.

So, just to clarify a couple of things.  First, all apologies for the audio interference that occurs throughout the show.  We had a short in a cable that was not discovered until after the show was recorded.  We did our best to post edit, but it is still in the background a bit.  The cable has been replaced and it should not happen again.

Second, before recording, we had an amazing chicken dinner.  How amazing was it?  Well, let's put it this way.  You know people get kinda nutty if they eat a bunch of sweets?  Sort of like that, but instead we got hyped on chicken.  It made for an interesting show to say the least.  I'm just going to leave it there.  You'll have to listen to find out.

Matt, Chuck and special guest host Jake Friedel go all full tilt boogie on this new episode of VGS.  Matt has himself another rant meltdown, this time directed at Activision for holding a much wanted HD remake of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare hostage behind it's new CoD: Marines in Space game, and he is well justified.  Also, the guys discuss a wide variety of topics including Wii U owners getting screwed once again, Xbox 360 production stopped, VR porn, Carmageddon remake heading for consoles, and Limited Run Games making us all want what they have to offer.  All this and more on an action packed new VGS.

While Rich is away, Matt, Chuck & special guest host Kurt Bowers take control of an all new episode of VGS. The guys return to a former VGS tradition with an interview with J Patrick Allen, award winning author (http://www.amazon.com/Dead-West-Pale-Patrick-Allen-ebook/dp/B01DQ8IAWC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461444080&sr=8-1&keywords=j+patrick+allen), host of Rocket Punch Radio podcast, former blue lion, gentleman and scholar. Also on the episode Matt rants on after playing the Final Fantasy XV demo, Playstation 4.5 being a console that can be upgraded (like a PC), Dark Souls board game, an interesting hack of the 3DS, and Dead Wizards.

Wow, I have no idea where to start here.  First, our heroes discuss tons of things, including Netflix, WWE, Tortured for Tots 2 year anniversary, Tortured for Tots 2, and so, so much more.  Also, a very special member of the VGS crew returns.  You'll have to listen to the entire episode or else you will miss something big.

Chuck, Matt & Rich are back in the shop to sling some games and drop some wisdom on this week's VGS.  In addition to responding to listener emails, we also discuss the possibility that Nintendo is stopping production of the Wii U later this year and what that means for the NX, folks upset that Quantum Break will only get to 720p, Resident Evil turning 20, Rich's new addiction with a game that involves catching them all, Matt's unhealthy obsession with hobos singing in the back of trains, and Chuck's looks of shame at his co-hosts.

Rich and Matt sit down for a shortened episode of VGS in order to review the top stories of 2015 and discuss their game of the year picks as well.  We are currently trying some new recording options, so the audio on this episode is not as good as we had hoped, but we still wanted to release a show.  Happy New Year everyone and see you in 2016.

WARNING: This episode of VGS is uncensored and has some very harsh language not suitable for kids.  You have been warned.

DISCLAIMER: We had some major tech issues trying to record this episode and as a result, the audio has some distortion and issues at times.  I'm not happy to release a show like this, but I figure a tech issue episode is better than no episode.  We are working to get this corrected before the next episode.

It's Christmas time once again and VGS does it the only way they know how...Bombed Out style.  Rich is joined by Game Trader 2's Matt Gurley and Chuck Shaw as we play Real/Fake animated Christmas specials, we go over another series of questions from Rich, we have a special guest send in Christmas wishes, and we read emails.  Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from the VGS crew.

Rich, Matt & new guy Anthony get all warm and fuzzy once again inside of Game Trader II for another episode of the VGS.  The boys really only had one topic this week that ended up becoming a one hour rant session.  What started as discussing all the games that have come out for the holiday season morphed into...well...can't really describe it.  Anyway, sit back in front of a warm fire with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy this new episode of VGS.

From the Bombed Out studios comes another episode of VGS.  Rich and special guest host Matt Gurley waste no time in getting right into Fallout 4 talk, which is about half the show.  They also report on other news and announce the next winner of the Retron 1 contest.  Let's face it.  You're playing Fallout 4, I'm playing Fallout 4, you probably won't listen to this episode until after the time vampire that is Fallout 4 stops sucking away at your life.

Well, we promised everyone a show and we are going to keep that promise.  Sadly, this is not what we hoped for, so it is to go down in the records as an infamous .5 episode.  You'll learn very quick that this was intended to be show 492, but things went wrong (stupid recorder).  Also, we were working with a brand new sound board on this episode and not all the bugs have been worked out.  So apologies up front, we will do better next time.  That being said, Kraft, Rich and special guest Matt Gurley (Game Trader 2, Retro Gaming Expert) pull it together.  Matt will be on again soon to make up for this (sorry Matt).  Anyway, sit back and enjoy this "halfsies" episode of VGS.

After the short (and odd) show last week, Rich, Addy & Patrick are back with a more normal episode of VGS.  From VR headsets to retro games getting a new coat of paint, the crew runs down the news, including their general disgust for the Amiibo craze.  Next the crew is tortured with an all new quiz from Ron "Bongoparty" who gets mistaken for Big Josh.  Fianlly, we wrap things up with emails.  Sorry for the delay on the post, but things ran late and I fell asleep.  Better late than never, so enjoy.

Sorry about not having a show last week, but Rich, Pat & Addy are back in studio for a shorter, but unclean version of VGS.  First off, this is not a clean show.  I have no idea how it got this out of control, but it did, and it is NSFW.  Anyway, we hit up emails and news in this small episode.  We promise to get back to normal next week.  Anyway, sit back, and enjoy.

WELL, PRINCE, Genoa and Lucca are now no more than private estates of the Bonaparte family. No, I warn you, that if you do not tell me we are at war, if you again allow yourself to palliate all the infamies and atrocities of this Antichrist (upon my word, I believe he is), I don't know you in future, you are no longer my friend, no longer my faithful slave, as you say. Rich and Kraft settle in alone for an old school, two man VGS.  We hit up the news and emails per usual, BT returns with an all new audio quiz, Kraft updates us on the upcoming Tortured For Tots charity event, and Rich brags about his new gaming rig PC.  So stop playing Fapping Birds for just awhile and take a listen.

Rich and Kraft are joined this week in studio by Graphite Labs' Matt Raithel & John Mikula to talk about their new game Hive Jump which you can check out on Kickstarter now.  We also cover news, emails and bring back Would You Rather.  All this and more on this week's VGS.

Kraft, Rich and Bongo take the wheel on this week's VGS.  Kraft has another go at wrapping up the Game Jam, we hit up news, Bongo reviews the new CD from The String Arcade, BT comes on for another audio quiz, and we wrap it all up with emails.

Please note that the recorder we use on the show died midway through causing about 10 minutes of the show to be lost, including News Bits and This Week in Gaming History.  Sucks that it happened, but happy that we found out early and saved the rest of the episode.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday and received loads of gaming goodies.  Kraft and Rich gather at the old home studio (aka Kraft's place) for a shortened episode of VGS.  The boys talk the holidays, get to news and have some good times.  I'm sure you are wondering what was going on with this episode if you didn't read the description before hand.  Basically, this is VGS Unplugged, which basically means we didn't have time to do post production work due to very hectic schedules this week.  So the options were either do what we did and get a show out at the usual time, or risk not having a show out until the end of the week, if not later.  I think you will agree we made the right call.  For now, have a fantastic New Year's and we'll see you back in the studio next week.

View Details

ATTENTION!!!  PLEASE READ BEFORE LISTENING!!!  Okay, in case you didn't listen to last year's special, you need to go back and listen to that one first.  Second, and more importantly, this episode is a Bombed Out episode, which means it is uncensored and unedited, so it is very not appropriate for children that shouldn't be hearing profanity and that may still believe in Santa Claus.  You've been warned.  Now listen and enjoy.  Merry Christmas and Happy Bang Holidays from the crew at VGS!!!

View Details

MURDER!!!  Wanna know more?  You need to listened the whole way down.  So, the first 15 minutes are a cluster F of audio issues that are eventually fixed.  Then Kraft, Rich, Keith and Ben from Well Bred Rhino play a bunch of mulitplayer games while riffing them as well as random talk about games.  Rich then has a retro movie review that not only makes Kraft extremely happy, but sets off a powder keg in studio.  You just need to hear this to believe it.

View Details

Kraft and Keith are absent, Rich, Bongo and Big Josh are in as the VGS crew got...well...Lohan'd.  What does that mean?  You have to listen to find out.  In addition to news and emails, we are introduced to the new Random Fact of the Week segment, Rich reviews The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Bongo reviews Call of Duty: Ghosts, and we even get time for a bit of Would You Rather.  We apologize for the odd hum in in the background, which we will blame on poor studio wiring, but stick with it as this show gets a bit crazy in a good way.

View Details

First off, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  Please excuse the audio on this podcast as it was recorded on the Tascam in a moving car, so please don't freak out.  Also, big thanks to Vomitron for providing the new return and closing music for this and our future shows.  Now, onto the show itself.  Kraft and Keith pile into Rich's car as we the crew sets out looking for game gems while hitting up all three V-Stock locations in the STL.  Along the way they talk next (or now current) gen systems, retro gaming, Bongo interviews the folks at Asthree Studios, and we read out answers to the question of the week.  Yes, it is a bit shorter than usual, but at least we got a show up.  Again, Happy Thanksgiving and we will be back in studio next week.

What can we say?  It's another remote episode where we do news, Keith plays a game, Keith does his first review, emails, and Would You Rather.  Oh yeah, and we had another amazing incident involving a moran that doesn't understand the concept of WE ARE RECORDING A F*ING SHOW YOU DOUCHE!!!  Seriously, this is why we are not doing anymore remotes for a while.  Anyway, listen and just keep saying "They're back in studio next week.  They're back in studio next week.  They're back in studio next week."

I know this is a place for a description of the pod you're about to hear, but screw it, I'm using it for something else.  To the three idiots that kept trying to ask us questions and make song requests while we were recording a show...WTF are you doing.  It is painfully obvious we are doing a radio show and you should know enough not to bother people who are talking in a microphone.  The best was the drunk a-hole that actually jumped onto my laptop and started looking through songs.  If this happens next week, I'm gonna lay the Smackdown!  Oh yeah, WWE 2K14 came out, along with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Battlefield 4.

Wow, so there were five of us on the show, we had news, while we started the first ever Keith Plays Games bit.  How far did Keith get in Punch-Out and Cyber Stadium Base Wars?  You'll laugh and cry.  He clearly ate lightning and crapped himself.  We also had our question of the week segment and Would you Rather.  All those and we find the origin of Glass Joe's 1 victory by KO on this week's VGS.

Rich & Kraft are back for another week of VGS.  After discovering that someone literally screwed with the soundboard and Kraft yelled at Rich for playing Cookie Clicker during the show, we got around to doing news, emails and Would You Rather with Bongo.  Join us for another week with less whores and twerks than last week, but just as much fun.

Yeah, it was a rough night.  I won't get into too many details except the sound board we used for the GameStop midnight launch had mulitple issues.  That being said, a new board will be purchased before the next remote for the GTAV launch.  I apologize for the audio quality as it is not up to par, but I felt it wouldn't be right to scrap the show, both for you the listeners and for special guest host Matt Rosen.  Here it is...I'm sorry.

Well, show 398 got a bit rowdy at times, but it was the good kinda rowdy, not the bad kind where you end up in a country bar brawl.  In addition to all the usual business, there was lots of interaction with the chatroom tonight (another reason to be there when we record live Monday nights), we talked about show 400 a bit, and even discussed some favorite moments from the past.  All this, plus Darklight13 (Happy Birthday Elizabeth) chimes in with some reviews and Peter Rothchild stops by the studio.  Listen now, repent later.

With all of the crazy news going on lately (royal weddings, dead terrorists, tornadoes and more) it was easy to miss news about the catastrophic soap opera that was the Playstation Network Saga.  Rich and Kraft take you through a 2 week timeline giving a blow-by-blow of what actually happened.  After an hour-long breakdown of events (trust me, it isn't boring) we get to non-Sony news.  Also, as an added treat we finally get an audio response from the one, the only, The Messiah of Pants!

In a surprise move we decided to take our show on the road!  We found out that there was a video game developer meetup here in our home town of St. Louis so Rich and Kraft crashed the party and ate all the mozzerella sticks.  That's how we roll.  Kidding aside, we talk to some established and up-and-coming game developers from our home town!  Joining us on the air this week is Graphite Lab, Six3Six studios as well as Dan and Wes, two local developers who put this shindig together.  In other news there is a really cool event we've been invited to in July.  Come join us on an all new Video Games Show to find out more!

Did anything special happen this show?  To be honest with 3 tests this week I can't really remember.  We didn't burn down the studio which means the show was nowhere near as good as it could have been, but I bet it was still a good one.  You be the judge; check out this week's Video Games Show!
