Bryan Fischer here with today’s Life and Liberty Minute. The one thing above all others that explains the existence of America and our success is religious liberty. It was the quest for religious freedom that brought our forefathers to these shores, and it was their commitment to religious liberty that led them to protect it in the First Amendment of our Constitution. But the Supreme Court, through egregious activism, has been stripping us of our God-given religious exercise rights for 70 years. Perhaps things are beginning to turn. This week the Court upheld the constitutionality of a war memorial cross on government land in Maryland. The Court also pointed out for the first time that atheists are not the only ones who have legitimate grievances in situations like this. Overall, this was a huge winnable war moment, one we can all cheer, and a giant step toward the restoration of our nation’s relationship with God.
