This telegram is confirming the armies are gathering in the west and the fragile peace treaty agreed upon at the end of summer has failed. We will continue to report back as the eve of a new war is upon us, and I fear it will last into Spring....The DMXS Dispatch
Ryan Dungey may be retired from racing but he’s far from wearing white knee socks and sandals playing shuffleboard in Florida. We will get RD’s thoughts on the epic supercross season, outdoors and hear about his many projects away from racing. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with one of our sport’s greatest champions, on and off the track.
JGR/Yoshimura Factory Suzuki’s Justin Hill has not been immune to the freshman slump that has plagued just about every rider moving up to the premier class. We always appreciate his candor in interviews and look forward to hearing about the year in his own words from the man himself tonight.

Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin lost some critical prep time in the off-season dealing with a knee injury but finds himself right in the championship mix with consistent finishes through seven rounds of the series. We will get his thoughts on the incredible racing so far and more tonight.
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Jordon Smith made some unforced errors in Dallas that cost him several crucial points and gave Austin Forkner even more momentum going into Detroit this weekend. Jordon will break down the first two races and what it’s going to take to battle and challenge for the top step of the podium going forward.

Monster Energy Pro Circuit’s Austin Forkner had a far too exciting day leading up to the 250SX East opener in Minneapolis last weekend but won convincingly with the holeshot and leading every lap. Austin is always an entertaining interview and we look forward to his take on the racing and everything else in his crazy world.
Jeff “6-Time” Stanton has been surviving the Michigan winter as only the “Rocky” of motocross would by keeping his regular fitness and farm schedule regardless of the insanely cold conditions. We hope he thaws out a little when he heads to Daytona while racing multiple classes in the newly added Daytona Vintage Supercross at Ricky’s race this year. We will get his thoughts on all of that and his always honest opinions on the new supercross racing so far.

There are few guests that bring as much joy on the show as Monster Energy/Star Racing/ Yamaha’s Wil Hahn. He’s truly one of the raddest, big-hearted people in our sport. We always enjoy catching up and he has lots to say about their early Yamaha success in the 250SX so far this season. Will Posey is just over a year removed from his motocross injury that resulted in spinal damage and paralysis. That makes his 2nd place to the legend Doug Henry at the X-Games Para Snow BikeCross last week even that more impressive. Will has deep roots in the sport behind the camera with our Wes Williams, too. We will hear about his inspirational story and his next challenge tonight. Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star/Yamaha Racing’s Colt Nichols led every lap of the 2019 AMA Supercross season opener to secure his first 250SX class main event win of his career. We will get his thoughts on the race and carrying that red plate into Glendale this weekend.
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Aaron Plessinger had a challenging off-season leading into his 450SX debut at Anaheim but managed the conditions well to survive the night with a solid 6thplace in the main event. We love having this cat on and look forward to hearing about the transition and rolling through that tunnel on a factory 450.

JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing’s Chad Reed is back for 2019 and we can’t wait to see the legend back on the gate at Anaheim this weekend! We will catch up on all of that and his incredible globetrotting off-season that included racing two and four wheels.

We have enjoyed viewing the sport through his camera lens and many continuing contributions over the years and wanted to turn the tables on our friend and ask him some questions for a change. TLD/Red Bull/KTM’s Shane “Moody” McElrath is a 250SX championship favorite going into 2019 and understands his time is limited before jumping up to a 450. We will get his thoughts on the upcoming season and battling Dungey for the Red Bull Straight Rhythm crown a few weeks ago.
We have known David Pingree for many years and he has been a guest on our show many times. We were stoked to hear he was developing his own podcast that will launch in December and we have done all we can to help get it off the ground. The Whiskey Throttle Show will feature Ping and Grant Langston as hosts, with a special in-studio guest featured every show in a new custom studio at the TLD shop. This show is centered in SoCal and will have access to the sport’s greatest names and riders each show. Make sure you check it out and help spread the word when it debuts!

We caught up with Ricky Carmichael for his take on the upcoming 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season, Motocross des Nations, the James Stewart riddle and when we might see him racing Jeremy McGrath soon. Always a pleasure catching up with the GOAT!
DMXS has been fortunate enough to announce Red Bull’s Straight Rhythm every year and thoroughly enjoyed the two-stroke-only revolution last weekend. We just had to get Dream Traxx’s Jason Baker on to hear about his amazing track creation that perfectly tested both classes and made for the best racing we’ve seen in quite some time. He’s basically the Elon Musk of track building and one of the most genuine guys you’ll ever meet. We look forward to catching up and bench racing tonight.
We’ve known Red Bull’s Jeremy Malott for what seems like our entire lives. He’s a great friend and his Straight Rhythm concept is but one example of his creative desire to push our sport forward and out of its comfort zone. We’ll get his thoughts on his two-stroke masterpiece and where we need to go from here.

Cole Seely is officially back on a damn dirt bike! That was not a given after some serious consideration and soul-searching after his latest severe injury. We’re pumped for our friend and are glad to welcome him back on under better circumstances.
Austin Forkner didn’t have the outdoor season he wanted after a rollercoaster summer, but we know he is full of fire and will learn from it and come out swinging. We dig his personality on and off the track and always enjoy catching up.

Grant Langston has a front row seat to all the action this summer and we’ll get his thoughts as the outdoors are winding down and ready to crown two new champions.
Ryan Sipes can truly can anything on a dirt bike, including showing up and winning a TT race! We’re very proud to have Ryan representing DMXS at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm’s Media Challenge and will discuss of that and more tonight.
We’ve known Jason Weigandt for almost twenty years but didn’t know the extent of his uselessness around the house with DIY projects until Kevin came across this nugget of info at Loretta Lynn’s last week. Jason will try to explain how he’s gotten so far in life without these critical manly skills.
Wes Williams is living back in Georgia and we are stoked to have him hang with us in the studio whenever he’s not traveling. It was so cool to see Wes back filming at Loretta’s and brought back some great memories to the DMXS/VURB days when the world was truly the best.

Team Honda HRC’s Ken Roczen silenced all the doubters after his latest injury seemed like even too much for the iron-willed German to overcome, but Kenny is back with a vengeance and has been battling up front since his return. We’ll hear all about that journey back tonight.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Zach Osbornebegan his 250 title defense with an impressive overall win at the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Hangtown. He had a benchmark year in his career and we’ll get his thoughts on all of that and the big win on Saturday.
Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Aaron Plessingeris a breath of fresh air in the sport and won the 250SX West Region Championship his way. His lighthearted personality and permanent smile have certainly resonated with the fans. We always enjoy catching up and have a lot to cover tonight.
Travis Pastranahas set the bar so many times it should just be called, “Setting the Pastrana.” He has once again captured the interest of the world with his latest plans to recreate three of Evel Knievel’s iconic jumps this summer, including the legendary Caesars Palace Fountain leap. I’m sure he just lost a bet and has to do this, but we’ll get the details and planning for the latest Pastrana masterpiece.

We gave Red Bull KTM’s Roger DeCoster a call to get the latest on Broc Tickle’s provisional suspension and obvious questions about the team’s response and immediate plans while this arduous process plays out. We’ll also get his thoughts on the season, Triple Crown and anything else “The Man” wants to get off his hairy chest.
Chad Reed has already amassed a Hall of Fame career but further added to his legendary status with the final ten feet before the finish line jump at the Seattle mud bog on Saturday. We always enjoy when Reedy has some time to catch up and will cover the season and whatever the hell else he wants to talk about tonight!
We were fortunate to be around for every professional lap of Davi Millsap’s career and always considered the South Georgia neighbor as part of our family on the show. It was a sentimental moment watching him take his final curtain call at Atlanta while riding during the opening ceremonies with his son, but as fans, we certainly understood the reasons he had to step away. We look forward to reminiscing about his career and discussing his plans moving onto the next chapter in his young life.
