As you may know, I am obsessed with exploring truth — its meaning and the objective possibility of it.
Today, one of the culture wars that affects us all is the debate on facts and censorship. How do we determine what the media and people say is true? Should fact-checkers exist? If so, can we trust them to be unbiased? And who should this responsibility be on anyway?
In this episode, I break all of this down, explain why it has become politized, explore the potential dangers of fact-checkers, and the responsibility we as individuals have going forward.
In episode 85, you will learn:00:00 Fact vs Truth: Everything is politicized
01:57 What are facts and what are they based on
04:39 Who is responsible for the truth — are fact-checkers dangerous?

I believe this is my most important solo episode yet, and I invite you to listen and absorb the full message here.
Success. Success is something we all think about and hope to attain in life. It's also something that I in particular have been grappling with for the last few years, especially as I have become more "successful" by conventional definitions.
Where I have landed is this — I believe that most of what we know and believe about success is a lie. A very dangerous and destructive one.
And I believe that if we don't understand this truth and shift our mindset and behavior about it today, we will live a life of suffering until our final days.
In this episode, I break it all down.
In episode 79, you will learn:00:00 The definition of success
01:56 Finding and creating your North Star
03:25 What happens after you achieve your goals
08:45 The biggest LIE ever sold
12:41 How can we stop living the lie and create joy today
14:48 The secret behind it all
17:11 Finding peace with the process

😤TRIGGERED?! 😤
Being "triggered" has become a pop culture buzzword over the last few years, but it's actually a very important topic.
In this episode, I break down what it really means to be triggered in psychological terms, how to recognize it, understand what got you there, and what to do about it.
I also end the episode with a big truth that I think you'll find very interesting and inspiring. Enjoy!

FLOW with Arman Assadi has been LIVE for one full year now — wow. I’m grateful and honored, thank you for spending time with me.
Reflecting back on my journey over the past year with this podcast, I decided to document my journey on a macro level. I dive deep into my existing businesses, my latest venture, and what I have been doing in-between.
I have a simple ask: I would love your input on what direction FLOW with Arman Assadi should take. I have been thinking about this a lot and it’s time to get some feedback from you on the direction of the show’s evolution.
Option 1: Documenting my journey of finding flow and fulfillment and uncovering the same with fascinating people and interviews.
Option 2: Tactical - each episode/interview is planned out to provide you with value nuggets and things you can implement into your life right now. Specifically, on business, online business, startups, psychology, fulfillment, money, investing, all the things I’m most passionate about.
Option 3: Keep doing what I’m doing - a wide range of topics/people where the show itself is an exercise in finding flow.
Let me know what option you like best! Just send me a 1,2, or 3!

$1000 an hour, sounds nice right?
I absolutely believe and know it’s possible, so for this episode, I sit down to reverse engineer my process for how I got there and break it down into 7 steps. I will say, I actually don’t think focusing on getting your hourly rate as high as possible is the optimal path to financial success. I share my perspective on this, as well as other ways to be successful.

I got DESTROYED by the internet last week.
I even got my first death threat (Because I expressed my admiration for Elon Musk).
The internet can clearly be an absolutely disgusting place. Social media and anonymity/pseudonymity seem to enable people to reveal their true nature.
But don’t worry I am 0% affected by this. It obviously shocked me to see it but clearly, this is a depressed cynical nihilistic person who’s completely lost. To truly do good in the world you have to be aware of the monsters that are out there, including the ones inside yourself, otherwise, you’re just living in a bliss bubble.
This is a very challenging time for all humanity. What we lack more than anything is an education in critical thinking. We seem to be desperately trying to find our place in this digital age. Everyone has grabbed hold of a ‘Truth’ and they think "I have found the answer and everyone else is a sheep/idiot". We’ve lost the ability to reason, think, analyze, discuss. I’ve asked many people questions about where their beliefs come from and the reaction is often the same: a) attack mine because they can’t explain theirs or b) ignore.
The digital age, censorship, social media, anonymity, truth. This results in violent behavior and isolationist thinking that further separates us. The cynical side of me is worried. But the optimist believes that this is a messy and required phase and this too shall pass. Hopefully 🙏

Over the past few weeks, there have been some very heated political tussles. From getting the election results to the refuting of the results, and now, Trump’s censorship. In this episode of I discuss whether Trump’s censorship was justifiable or the owners of these platforms are now warped? And if a privately-owned “public” company should be able to restrict freedom of speech?

One of my absolute favorite things each year is my end of year Annual Review and Planning process. I like to take a good 3-5 days to just sit, reflect, and appreciate the highs and lows of the year. I sit in gratitude and pick out my lessons learned. And then I start setting an intentional plan for the next one.
Needless to say, this was obviously a very different year. A glitch in the Matrix type of year, if you will. And I sense that things will not be getting easier or going back to normal. I have been thinking and deconstructing all of this and what is happening at an individual and collective level a lot this year, so I decided to bring it all together in one episode.
This might be my most important episode yet. It is the compilation of a wide variety of topics I have been exploring these past few years. And it goes without saying, my approach to the current issues we face socially, politically, economically, and even spiritually is not like those you will hear on the news or from your favorite influencer.
It is important to look at this all as objectively and rationally as we possibly can because I believe this journey has just begun in many ways and you and I have key roles to play.
We need to learn how to think critically and correctly—fast.
So have a listen/watch, absorb it all, and let me know what you think. I wish you a beautiful New Year and much peace and prosperity in 2021.

Quick correction: I said oenophile but meant bibliophile lol 😂.
Relevant favorite quote:
“What an astonishing thing a book is. It’s a flat object made from a tree with flexible parts on which are imprinted lots of funny dark squiggles. But one glance at it and you’re inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, an author is speaking clearly and silently inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. Books break the shackles of time. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic.”
- Carl Sagan

She has lived the experience of doing nearly everything right, and finding that still things can go wrong. The question then becomes, what will we make of our new situation? She challenges you to find the silver linings, even on your darkest of days. They are there. Get curious and just open your eyes. And if you do, be prepared, spontaneous bursts of joy and wonder await you...

In this episode of FLOW, host Arman Assadi shares the 5 online businesses that he believes hold the most significant opportunities and profit in 2020.
Freelancing: This world is more wide open than it's been before. It's an online business that has low overhead and a high possibility for profit. Everything from new entrepreneurs to big companies are freelancing work out creative and technical work. Pick a niche and double down on it.
Courses: The days of high level, high ticket courses are mostly over. You can turn your expertise into a digital course and have an asset that sells forever. Create free content, and expand on it with paid, low ticket, courses.
Your classes should lead to a subscription service that offers current live content. Give consistent value
E-Commerce/Amazon: Purchase products that are similar to what you want to make, decide what you like or don't like about them; use that as your prototype. Shopify is a great platform to start your business. On the other hand, you can use Amazon, but it isn't easy dealing with them.
SaaS: There is a ton of information on Software as a Service. There is an extremely high possibility for profit, but it does take a lot of money on the front end. Find an underserved market with a problem, and this begins your building process.
Content Creation: Blogging, vlogging, podcasts, these are all forms of content that can be small businesses. You're building a brand and marketing any other products and services.
Bonus: Arman also adds a short sixth bonus business that can be profitable in 2020.

In this premiere episode of FLOW, host Arman Assadi, a California native and successful entrepreneur with a storied professional background, realizes an 8-year dream as he begins his unique podcast project. He spends the episode setting the groundwork for what is to come; the podcast will include conversations with influencers and thought leaders, ultimately aiming to help listeners find flow, fulfillment, and the oft-elusive ideal of happiness. The podcast is driven by the same philosophy that has illuminated and now drives Arman’s own life: his “Flow Manifesto.”
The manifesto starts with a foundational premise: about 98% of humanity is coasting by, going through the motions, and living the life drawn up for them by the status quo. They don’t give much thought to what they want. Another nearly 2% are driven by external goals, which inevitably trap them in cycles of ups and downs based on circumstances. They do not find ultimate, lasting satisfaction, but wind up on the “achievement junkie rollercoaster.” The problem with this 2% approach, Arman says, isn’t the presence of goals, but the primacy given to the external aims. A point of massive personal clarity led Arman to turn this approach on its head.
Arman has recently found that your path to fulfillment (in other words, your state of flow) comes from an awareness of who you really are. The happiest people you know—the great masters, as it were, who comprise a fraction of a percentage of all people—know and demonstrate this. They are in tune with their inner world, are aware of their true nature, and are friends of the present moment. Only from this foundation do they start to adopt goals. Those who live in a state of flow are able to lose themselves and let their higher selves simply act, developing mastery and working consistently toward a purpose that will ideally help others.
In this podcast project, Arman is realizing his own purpose and living from a place of flow; he hopes the conversations to follow will help others do the same. To that end, he’s starting things off with a couple of giveaways:
