Preaching and teaching christian disciplines is often filled with theological undertone that many do not see. We teach "truth" but in reality is only partial. In order for people to learn how to think for themselves we need to open ourselves to be convicted and passionate, while leaving room for thinking and disagreement.
The goal is never to get someone to share your beliefs, but to present the data, the facts, the truths to someone and let them be powerful to decide for themself.
I dive more into the complexity of language such as Systemic Racism and explore the multiple meanings and implications people could mean when talking about this loaded term. We also touch on empowerment and how to go from education to actually living our lives to bring change to the world.
In this first episode I discuss topics such as Institutional Racism, Language and Social Media Fights. The language in pop culture when it comes to discussing race is extremely complex. This complexity makes conversations hard. People tend to talk over and around each other. And just end up yelling because no one understands one another.
