We learn from Russian Literature professor Dr. Katya Severts about two Stunning Russian Womxn: Nazdezha (Alexander) Durova, who was an officer during the Napoleonic wars and Sofia Kovalevskaya who is noted as the first woman to receive a doctorate in mathematics. Dr. Severts teaches Slavic mythology, the Russian Language, and literature courses at the University of Texas in Austin. She has published 11 books on various themes (such as racism, travel advice, and fiction) surrounding Victorian England in Russian. So if you want to read her books, we suggest downloading Duolingo.
