Lambeau Ladies -- the Boundary-Breaking Women Behind Lombardi's Packers.
Join us, the Appleton Historical Society, and Wisconsin Historical Society for a special book launch of Lambeau Ladies: The Boundary-Breaking Women Behind Lombardi’s Packers by Laura Kostelnik Biskupic and Katherine Biskupic on Thursday, August 6 at 6 pm at the Appleton Public Library – Mary Beth Nienhaus Community Meeting Rooms.
Long before NFL players had teams of trainers, nutritionists, therapists, and agents, the dynastic Green Bay Packers of the 1960s relied on a different kind of support staff: their wives. In Lambeau Ladies, mother and daughter Laura Kostelnik Biskupic and Katherine Biskupic tell the remarkable, largely untold story of the women who helped transform the Lombardi-era Packers into one of the greatest teams in football history.
