Sergio joins us to educate us about Fenomatch; a facial matching tool for donor selection. He highlights all the benefits of using Fenomatch during donor selection instead of the traditional method where clinics spend hours trying to review pictures of available donors and compare with photos of patients.
.
Fenomatch is an Artificial Intelligence-based platform for fertility clinics and egg and sperm banks. It enables Fertility centres to choose the most suitable donor for each patient and improve the selection process at all levels.
.
.
Fenomatch offers an all in one platform to find the right donor through phenotypic, genetic and biometric comparison. Also, it provides a management system for the donor database as well as a continuous encrypted connection with other assisted reproduction centers. The more the number of donors, the better the selection for the patient.
In addition, Fenomatch provides extra security, decreasing the human error and helping automating the selection process by establishing an intern protocol for such donor selection.
.
Join us to listen to incredible episode about Fenomatch and the benefits of clinics using this tool in their donor selection. If you are a patient, do have your clinic listen to this episode to highlight the many benefits of Fenomatch. And if you are a clinic, do reach out to Fenomatch to put this tool to test.

Welcome to another Episode of Fertility Conversations
Today, we are joined by Nicole Narracott @mums.the.word_blog ; who is the author of the newly released book; The Seven Birthstones. She shares with us her fertility journey which includes fertility treatments including the use of donor sperm when she tried as a solo mum before meeting her partner. Her journey included recurrent pregnancy losses. She also considered using donor eggs, but the consultant was unwilling to try again with donor eggs since he felt Nicole would continue miscarrying every pregnancy.
.
.
Nicole struggled with the grief of childlessness and grief of losing her babies, and the fact that she was not being recognised as a grieving mother. It took her a long time to come to terms with the fact she wouldn’t be able to carry her own child. Motherhood had always felt like a part of Nicole and she felt life had robbed her of it.
.
.
However, when Nicole realised that the battle to carry a biological child was over, she felt the quest for motherhood was still possible. Initially she looked into surrogacy, but this didn’t feel right to either of her and her partner, for no reason they could put our finger on. They are now adopting and have been approved 10 months and currently awaiting a match.
.
.
Join us as we listen to her incredible journey. Nicole has a blog: www.mumstheword.blog

Today, we are joined by Kimberly Gowdy @colorlesswomb_ . She is the author of the recently released book; the Colorless Womb. The Colorless Womb is available for purchase on amazon, barnes and nobles and Apple ibook . The Colorless Womb is a must read.
.
Kimberly always yearned for a child. After three miscarriages and being trapped in an abusive marriage with a spouse who valued his drug addiction more than his wife, she still hoped for a rainbow. After facing difficult challenges, she parted ways with her husband to start a new life in Atlanta, Georgia. . . She soon met and married Dr. David Gowdy who wanted a child as much as she did. Their surrogacy journey was an emotional and disappointing one (searching specifically for someone who looked like her--a Black woman) yet after seven failed attempts with two embryos left the perfect surrogate led them to the biggest unexpected surprise of their lives—a white woman who was the perfect match. .
Kimberly highlights that her story shows that though there are racial issues in the US and all across the world; love is above racism. As Kimberly says; the person on the inside matters more than what is on the outside.

Welcome to Episode 7
Solo Chat: In this episode, I discuss my experience with some of the IVF clinics I have visited and cycled with. As well, based on my experience and in my own opinion, I also listed some factors that I consider to be helpful when choosing an IVF clinic.
Its important that you be your own ADVOCATE..and always speak up..always ask questions and have the doctors and clinic address your concerns. If they are unwilling to work with you and address your concerns, then its a good idea to check other options. Its your money and your treatment, you should be involved and the doctors should be willing to listen.
Referrals are great, but I always say do your own research, have consultations with the clinics, and then make a decision based on the doctor and clinic that seems best for you.
Best wishes to you in selecting the right clinic & doctor for you!!!
