Owen loves the Grinch this year. More than Santa. ...Not more than presents, but still A LOT.
In this special Christmas episode, Mama joins Owen to read Dr. Seuss' classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".
WARNING: Owen does a lot of shouting in this episode. It's mixed so that it's not painful, but it's still yelling.
Owen watches the waveforms as we record and then yells a lot.
A lost episode! Recorded back in December, this episode has Owen and Dad out in a park with a sled.
This is the first in a series of "dreams" as told by Owen. There will be more. Hopefully many more.

WELCOME TO SEASON 3!
First, the big change: we're going for longer but fewer episodes. It's a big change, but I think it's worth it. We'll release episodes each week on Monday and Thursday.
Owen is two and a half years old now and is chattier than ever. In this episode, we have a picnic on the Wobble Dock, a floating dock in a pond in a wildlife spot we often visit. We talk snacks, animals, animal sounds, and Puffin Rock.
In the Season 2 Finale, Owen talks about his measuring spoon, the weather, a family with a dog, a squished dog poop bag, and the things he didn't like. GOBO!
Owen and Dad return to the Creek for the first time in around one month. There are damselflies, podcast talk, gibberish, splashing rocks, and a lot of "why, daddydaddy?"
Owen and Dad hang out at a playground now they they have reopened. Owen's new favourite word is revealed... but he doesn't really show it off YET.
Another Making Music! This time with MUCH LESS Dad!

Owen reads a book (My Dad Is Amazing by Sabrina and Eunice Moyle) and decides to show a picture of a frozen watermelon treat to some watermelon he has in the fridge.
Owen plays with the balloon a kind woman gave to him. He also counts the cats on my shirt.
Owen and Daddy make more music together!
NOTE: THIS EPISODE MAY NOT BE YOUR CUP OF TEA. Daddy made (and continues to make) experimental music for years. Owen is now helping. Owen has some A+ commentary about halfway through, so bear with the first part if it's not your thing. It gets better.

In this first of 5 episodes recorded at Owen's favourite creek, we climb rocks, build dams, and climb some more.
Owen and Daddy play kicking games, pet Shrimpy (who you should follow on Instagram @chezshrimpy), and spend some time together in the backyard.
Owen and Daddy are out for a hike, looking at mushrooms, talking about dogs and rocks and rivers, and more!
Owen and Daddy make some music together with a Kaossilator Pro, a bunch of pedals, some noise makers, a guitar, and a slide guitar (lap steel).
Owen rides his potty like a jet ski, confuses it with a horse, which he then confuses with frogs/toads.
Owen plays with trains, Daddy makes his greatest Dad Joke to date, we talk about water slides and the unbearable heat.
I admit: I didn't record a new, full episode for today. Owen went to bed before we had the chance. But I found this clip of him asking questions about the recording interface we use and it seems like a quaint little episode, so here it is! And, to be honest, he wants to do all the recording himself these days, but he just can't keep his finger off the dang button that turns it off!
SEASON 2!
We talk about the animals we saw today, Owen does yoga, Wise Words are replaced by Sage Advice (very different), and Owen bonks his head.
In the season finale of The Owen Hour, Owen has important things to say, plays with both his soccer ball and his rainbow ball, and plans out Season 2 of the podcast.
We'll be taking the weekend off, but will be back on Monday with SEASON 2!

Owen climbs Daddy, has lotion, and has some very serious Wise Words for the listening audience.
Owen and Daddy record from a blanket. Things get put on Daddy's head. Owen's catchphrase (which somehow has yet to make it on the air) gets shouted and recorded on a toy.
Owen is FULL OF BEANS. This episode is almost more of a soundscape as Owen bounces off walls. He climbs his bed, he throws a ball around, he passes through a blanket draped over his bedframe, he's FULL OF BEANS.
Owen is full of energy and is all about BASKETBALL. There's some yoga and dancing in there too.
