POWERFUL + REAL.
An expansive interview. Jared speaks of the transformation that has been happening in his life. Vulnerable, raw and real.... he doesn't hold back!
"I am an empathic Aquarius, that has a deep love and appreciation for the forest, ocean, stars, deer, Ive always had my head in the stars growing up. Lately my head and self talk has been limiting me, so now I'm ready to get out of my head and back into my body, into my soul and do the work. Lately, I have been realizing more than ever that we are made of the same things stars are made of, atoms, carbon, energy, we are a temple, lightning, thunder and nebula vortexes. The same atoms in our body’s are the same atoms that are created in the dying stage of an exploding star called a supernova." - Jared Betts

"You are more than your name, your frame, your DNA. More plentiful than all you have given birth to. And those big, big, wishes! You are even bigger. Imagine that, imagine anything, and you are more. You are gone, gone, gone beyond the beyond of what started this all. I pray you desire temples of peace, and benevolent tsunamis of love, and that you realize your size in relation to this universal declaration, "I desire." You are the core, and the more, ever expanding desire." - -Danielle Laporte

My mantra going into 2021 ( Thank you, Yung Pueblo)
“Stop all performances, accept your imperfections, expand your self-awareness, forcing it doesn’t work, LET IT gooooo. Don’t let your self-doubt take control, your time to rest is non-negotiable, personal growth is goal number one, remember that life is not a competition, connect with emotionally mature people, let go of the past + be in the present, STOP all self-analysis when you feel down, NOTICE when you are causing yourself tension.
I love the journey. Layer after layer, gently waking up + letting go of the stuff that keeps me stuck. Sending New Years' love your way today.

-Get cozy + RELAX with a soothing, blissful bathtub meditation. (even if you do not have a bathtub in your home, you will feel soothed.) -Set up sanctuary in your bathroom -Be inspired by my own bath ritual that will bring healing and serenity to your body, mind, and spirit.
“The calm within the storm is where peace lives and breathes. It is not within perfect circumstances or a charmed life... it is not conditional. Peace is a sacred space within, it is the temple of our internal landscape. We are free to visit it, whenever we seek sanctuary. Underneath the chaos of everyday living, peace is patiently awaiting our discovery... go within.” ― Jaeda DeWalt
Recognize your worth. It’s ok to shut the bathroom door, and take a long moment for you.
It’s ok to switch things up from how they’ve always been to how you want to be now. Create sanctuary in your space. Set up your bathroom for ease, a place where you can go to refill your well.

Relax“Meditation is a state, often defined as deep dreamless sleep awake. But, in the same way that you cannot sleep on demand, you cannot meditate on demand—that is, you can’t reach the state instantly in the same way that you can raise your right hand. The practices preceding meditation are relaxation, stillness and mental focus. Those are all things you can do. They are the preparation. Then, if you the circumstances are right, you can transition from the waking to the meditative state.” ― Gudjon Bergmann - Shift your mind to a state of calm with Yoga before bed. Yin

Quotes -
“Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.” ― Anaïs Nin
“Be where you are. Look around. Just look, don't interpret. See the light, shapes, colors, textures. Be aware of the silent presence of each thing. Be aware of the space that allows everything to be.” ― Eckhart Tolle
“When you surrender to what is and so become fully present, the past ceases to have any power. The realm of Being, which had been obscured by the mind, then opens up. Suddenly, a great stillness arises within you, an unfathomable sense of peace. And within that peace, there is great joy. And within that joy, there is love. And at the innermost core, there is the sacred, the immeasurable, That which cannot be named.” ― Eckhart Tolle
I posted a photo in my Instagram stories the other night. It was a photo of my soak and a candle lit… with these words captioned in neon font--
“This is the place I go to feel what I am feeling.” And my cheeks were wet with tears. But it was a moment with myself. And it was beautiful. I needed it.
Take time for you.
The bath has become something spiritual for me. Soaking in the water is where my answers come to the questions I repeat in my mind, And I create that stillness to hear it.
So that night I was feeling a really deep pain. Grieving life as we knew it, and then thinking of some of the things that I wished I hadn’t taken for granted while the world was still normal.
This is how I’ve been feeling and it’s the inspiration for this episode.
Today our focus on gratitude.
Enjoy a blissful guided session. Feel more. Light, presence, connection, and deepest gratitude.

Bringing comfort to your heart, mind + nervous system. Redirecting our energy to hold space for ourselves and those who need us. Especially in these times of worry + unrest.
(Nature as a metaphor.) "A tree is rooted + strong, yet it's leaves still dance in the wind. It's branches bend and don't break."
Focus on how you can cultivate your own light + how you can shine it upon others.
“Feelings are magnetic. Each feeling is a beacon that attracts a reality. Love attracts love. Generosity elicits a generous response. Anger creates more things that could make you even angrier if you let them. What we focus on expands, so choosing to focus on life-affirming feelings is the surest way to create the experience that you want.” -Danielle Laporte
"Please let me feel inner peace From my center from the center of me." - words by Beautiful Chorus On repeat: I am strong. I am safe. I am secure. I make beautiful choices. I take care of the ones I love. I do what I can in this moment. I do not let worry distract me.
Reflection / journal prompts: 1.Think of the person who makes you feel safe in any storm. How do they make you feel safe, held and secure? In what ways did they hold space for you?
2.Think of someone who could use some positivity today. How can you help? How can you send them your love from afar?

What is your relationship with Self-love?
"When we feel happy, we radiate our light onto other people. When we feel depleted, we give that off too. It's an energy thing. Self-care isn't selfish. It is vital for ourselves, our nervous system and our relationships." - Stephanie Johnston, The Goddess Gatherings

Words:
“Self-care is never a selfish act - it is simply good stewardship of the only gift I have, the gift I was put on earth to offer others. Anytime we can listen to true self and give the care it requires, we do it not only for ourselves but for the many others whose lives we touch.” ― Parker Palmer
Self Reflection prompts from the episode: (Tip! Answer all questions with honesty + detail.)
In this episode, I shared how I visit the spa every 6 - 8 weeks. What was your initial reaction? Examples may be: "That's selfish!" "I would love to do that!" or, "I wish I had time + money for this!"
List places that bring you peace. Some examples: The beach, a luxe Hotel, a Bed + Breakfast, an art gallery, or the spa.
Refer to question #2... How much would this cost to incorporate this into my life on the regular? (Set your goal - have something to look forward to.)
4.On a scale of one to ten. One being calm + ten being overwhelmed...Where are you on the scale? (Awareness is the first step.)
