“The gospel is the good news that God became man in Jesus Christ. He lived the life we should have lived and died the death we should have died—in our place. Three days later He rose from the dead, proving that He is the Son of God and offering the gift of salvation to those who repent and believe in Him.”― Rice Broocks

We often find ourselves living without connection or relationships... what does it mean to connect again to other people and ultimately to God?

We often live our lives in one of 2 extremes - suppressing all emotion and becoming numb or being completely led by our emotions.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” - Mark 12:30-31

Were you once committed and on fire for God? Do you feel like that fire has dwindled? How can we get it back?
Come and celebrate the sacrifice of Jesus with us!
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. - John 3:16-19

Journey with us on what it means to abide in Christ. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. - John 15:4-5

We are on a new series titled STRANGELY DIM, where we hope to help you know how to practice the presence of God. The series title is taken from an old hymn titled "Turn your eyes upon Jesus" - our desire is that as we fix our eyes on Him, all things will grow strangely dim.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace towards me was not in vain. - 1 Corinthians 15:10 God is always leading us towards the cross, and He is leading us from the cross - Retief Burger shares on the grace of God that leads is in the way of trust and holiness.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9 God is always leading us towards the cross, and He is leading us from the cross - Jaco Oldewage shares on the grace of God that is patiently working in us the purposes of God.
Phillip Pretorius shares a powerful message on grace and our deep dependency on the grace of God, for apart from it we would not be able to exist. He unpacks three understandings of grace - common grace, saving grace, and empowering grace.
We are one church all across the city! And this Sunday Heino Vorster from our Rietondale church plant shared on our common identity and mission as a people of God. We have been chosen, set apart, and sent out to live for the praises of God!
Henk du Preez concludes our #TakenCaptive sermon series with a powerful approach to the battle for our hearts. Henk starts his message with a counselling session setup speaking through real-life examples of battles we might be facing. Ultimately our hearts were designed by God to connect, not to self isolate and protect. In this message we take a very practical look at how we start to open our hearts again towards connection and healing.
During week 2 of our Taken Captive series Jaco Oldewage looked at the very real battle all of us face in the mind. Your brain processes the information you feed it and forms positions of truth in your mind (whether they are rooted in a truth or a lie). These positions of truth then shape our belief systems, desires, hopes, ideals... When our mind is filled with negative and toxic thought we do find ourselves in a cycle of brokeness. We find ourselves taken captive. But there is a way for us to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Jesus!
It is easy to get taken captive by one's own thoughts, fears, or emotions. In episode 1 of this series Shaun Kinmont takes us through how Jesus battled for one person, and how we can receive the fruit of Living Water.
Week 4 of our series through Philippians. Andre Louw preaches a powerful word on how a life of prayer will lead us into deeper joy and ultimately a greater experience of God's peace in every area of our lives.
As we continue through the book of Philippians we continue to see that God purposes for us to have joy, but that it does come differently to how we might expect or even prefer. In week 3 Kylen Govindasamy shares on joy coming through maturity, that there is a mature way of thinking as we forget the former things and press forward to take hold of that which is to come!
Finding Joy is our 4 week study through the book of Philippians. In chapter 2 we see what it means to find joy through suffering. Marielle preaches a powerful word on how the Gospel enables us to go through suffering times and even press into the suffering around us filled with hope. We were also challenged with this question: "Are the things you are living for, worth Christ dying for?"
Finding Joy is our 4 week study through the book of Philippians. In chapter 1 we reflect on the thought that joy is found through Christ. Paul makes this statement: "To live is Christ, to die is gain". What does this mean and how does this help us to live in joy?
On Sunday we concluded with our 3-week focus on WHY DO WE EXIST.
Jaco Oldewage shared on being a socially responsible church as a response to who Jesus is and what He has done for us. When we take hold of Jesus we will let go of the things that have no ability to save, define or protect us!
Be part of our social responsibility team!

We exist to honor God, to restore the honor of God, the worship of God in all the world. As part of our Vision Sunday Kylen Govindasamy shares why being Spirit-empowered is so crucial and how we can become empowered by the Spirit.

Week 4 of our prayer series. Pastor Carol Gossman from our Every Nation Ruimsig church shares a word on how we get to walk in the power of God. PRAY. STAY. OBEY.
Week 3 of our prayer series. Phillip Pretorius gives great insight into these two words: PRAYER and SUPERNATURAL. The pathway to seeing sign and wonders is hearing the voice of God!
Week 2 of our prayer series. Harry and Wendy Griesel share some powerful principles from the Word of God and from their lives living in the missions field. Much of their story is shaped from moments of saying "YES" to Jesus.
Pastor Eric Bapetel who is the prayer director for Every Nation Southern Africa opens up our 4 week series on prayer. There is a grace for prayer available to every single person, and as we choose to yield to the spirit of prayer we will see God move in our lives, in our families, our communities, our nation and the nations of the world.
Are you ready for a prayer adventure?
God almighty, God on a mission!
From the story of Jacob, we learn that God will be faithful to the purposes He has over our lives.
God is on a mission, and He invites us into this incredible mission with Him!
God is not only our provider, but He is our PROVISION!
God makes this promise - that we will have everything we need in order to live for His Kingdom
Phillip Pretorius opens up our #AwesomeGod sermon series with a powerful message on Jehovah My Lord. God is God.
