The last couple of mornings I have been contemplating my fireplace. Waiting for inspiration and getting it as disparate as it is. This is a poetic look into my fireplace. A distraction from the reality.

In this episode I travel to an Australian town called Griffith, 574 kilometres south west of Sydney. In a winery, in Griffith, every Tuesday night, people with a love of drawing meet to draw the nude.
I talk to a group of artists and ask them why and if they have any tips for people who want to do this kind of art.
On the third Saturday of September every year for the last 110 years, my home town of Ardlethan has its Agricultural Show. Last September I went to my first show but in this podcast we will be talking to a lady who has been to the last fifty years. Oh and there is also the Cow Pat Lotto have a listen.
I am talking to Wendy Sharpe and Bernard Ollis during the opening of their exhibition which was held in the Griffith Regional Gallery last October 2018. Their exhibition is touring Australia for the next two years. I also talk to Sam Bowker curator of the exhibition. There are some wonderful insights into the way Bernard and Wendy create their work. They talk about their work as war artists and Artists in Residence on a South Pole journey. They have some great advice at the end for aspiring artists of all ages.
