Welcome our speaker for today, Kandi Swift. There is an exchange that happens in worship. Although we enter into a time of worship to express our adoration and thankfulness to God, our understanding is that worship is for Him. However, every act that He requires or asks of us always has an exchange or a return. Today, we will discover that even more as we are worshiping Him, He is working on our behalf.

Thanksgiving Day. A time when loved ones, friends and family bring the year to a pause in order to give thanks! At the risk of sounding predictable, for the believer this mode of thankfulness should be an everyday posture. However, even the believer needs to be reminded to thank God daily. It isn't too difficult to take for granted all the wonderful things we regularly enjoy! "...with Thanksgiving" reminds us all there is more to being thankful than we sometimes remember. Come along as we share together, ... with Thanksgiving. Luke 17:11-19

God looks for us to raise up leaders, teachers, ministers using the mantle we hold and sharing it with those coming into the kingdom behind us!

Here's an interesting fact: when I wrote this sermon, it's title was "Finders Losers, Keepers Weepers..." which you will hear me reference within the audio recording and through out this series. However, now three weeks after I have preached the lesson, I find myself still learning on this subject... My title, and artwork had to be changed to "LOSERS Finders, Keepers Weepers" I found this to be a more experientially accurate title, listen in on this teaching and find out why!
Do you remember where you were the morning of September 11, 2001. I do! However, what I remember also are the days which followed. The days when, for me, it actually felt like "One Nation Under God". Even though we were concerned, angry, uncertain and even afraid... it also I felt like people, not only Christians but most people were really looking to God for answers, for hope and for protection. I remember my pastor calling for church wide prayer on consecutive nights,.. and people actually came... After a while the fire in most people returned to its normal "low to absent status". Today's study is a call to remember that Christ is still larger than the crisis we face in life. Our days ahead my seem uncertain on personal and national levels and now more than ever our faith MUST be grounded in our Father God!
Independence from one thing often implies the dependence or allegiance to another. In today's teaching, In Case of Emergency we learn the inportance of doing all we've learned; to praise, to worship, to trust, and to speak the word over our situations. Finally, we understand that we MUST stand in faith knowing the faithfulness of God! At times we overlook one other very important resource, the blessing of each other. All battles cannot be won alone. In difficult times we should not neglect to look to one another to assist us through difficult situations. In Case of Emergency looks into what it takes to help others through difficult seasons. Its a glance into what it takes to reach out and receive help offered from a friend. It's the joy of community and the salvation offered through love for one another. It is one of our greatest weapons against the the enemy, it is unity... the power One!

There is so much "Image of God" invested of each one of us, to the degree that it becomes like a fire desiring only to be set free from within us. The image of God itself is so vast that it takes all us collectively to only begin to display His glory. Each one having a piece of the puzzel Each piece powerful in its own right, each piece hand crafted by God, uniquely formed and set into the body as the Spirit of God wills. In this teaching I make good use this socially common word "what" to promote you a place kingdom benefit and blessing of living like Willing, Healed, Available and Transendant, what I call living like WHAT!
