We all face some sort of crisis in our lives at time and it can come without a warning forcing us to make sudden decisions with no clue how to make them. Let's not be mistaken, there are also many of us if not all of us who deal with a crisis or trauma that we are scared to address. What do we do? How do we handle them? Well, here is where we can tackle the past, present, and our future issues surrounding us every day. We all have a cornerstone in our lives but in it's place we all use something different. Mine is Christ what's yours?
People will always have something to say about us no matter how great we are doing. So instead of negative talk, we are going to give them positive things to talk by doing well.
So many of us suffer from mental health, but many of us don't even know we do. With may being Mental Health Awareness Month, I thought, why not talk about it. For a long time, I've self medicated, thinking it was the answer to my problem, not realizing I was only killing myself. It wasn't until I finally got the help I needed that i realized it wasn't the drugs that kept me sick it was my mental health.
In life, we deal with people in situations we can't avoid. But what happens when we don't think first and react first? How about emotions that are uncontrollable. Therefore, things like our anger are out of control. In this episode, I discuss dealing with those people we can't avoid and how I'm dealing with it.
We don't know every story however we judge others based on what we see. Everyone has a pass, a pass that not everyone knows and don't know how we got to where we are at. In this episode I had the pleasure of meeting Brian an active drug user struggling in the streets of Camden NJ. Brian agreed to an interview explaining his journey and answering very difficult questions. You will see how by the end of this interview Brian's own heart became touched by his own story. A must HEAR INTERVIEW.
I find it difficult expressing my feelings and emotions at times especially during moments of anger and frustration. It's nothing more stressful than withholding your aggression and not being able to express it in a productive way. Here I discuss whats that like so we all can better handle ourselves without being left with the feeling of regret.

Many times over and over again we seek validation from others not because we feel good about ourselves but because we dont. It's one thing to ask if this looks good on me because I need an opinion, but it's another if I'm asking because without your validation I don't feel good about myself. There comes a time when we need to ask ourselves that great old question "why" and answer honestly. It's in that "why" that determines if validation is what we are asking or an opinion. What are you 'why"

To many of us are going through so much it seems like one thing after another. At some point we can't hold it all in and we need to let it go before it eats us inside out. Meaning express yourself in any way possible so you can get it off your chest. Don't worry about who's watching or who's listing just get it off your chest. It's like poison and you can't hold that stuff in or it can destroy you. Please people if you don't do anything else do this, let it out and be transparent when you do.

Each day we look in the mirror and at least 90% of us will ask ourselves "Will people like what I'm wearing" or tell ourselves "I'm to ugly or to skinny" any case most of us have a difficult time accepting who God created us to be. We struggled with the idea we are perfect in our own right and deserves just as much good as everyone else. The battle between our own thoughts and what society says we should be or look like has been an ongoing war within itself. It's time to end that war and withdrawal from our inner battles we have wondering will we be accepted by others. It's time we lay down our weapons of shame and stop self inflicting the very spirit we should be worshipping. We are made perfect according to the will of God and not the opinions of society. When we can accept that it's my belief in that alone we can change how we feel and view ourselves.

Grief is an unavoidable circumstance that we must be willing to get through so it won't go through us. I've experienced grief on all kinds of levels but I will never say they felt all the same. It doesn't matter how good we are or how great we are people will always have something to talk about. If you loose weight then your on drugs or if you gain weight then you must be depressed or matter fact, did you hear who lost their job today. No matter what you do they will always talk but we can change the narrative of their conversations by doing things differently. Let's stop making repeated choices that have a negative affect leaving people with only negative things to say about us, because it's my belief when we do that we change those conversations.

Seeing is only part of the battle, the beginning of the battle, or at the end. It takes our clear, cut, and mental sight in order to see pass what is not seen. I believe in order to do that we must be ready to eat a peace of humble pie topped with a fearless drive to achieve. It's also my belief that achievements, success, and goals has a no tolerance policy indicative to a lack of faith, making it almost impossible to serve or grow. Let's humble ourselves towards a better approach of how we handle and go after things. That's what I'm doing here, I'm sharing how humility affects my life the good and the bad.

Constructive criticism is words of motivation that are meant to build you up and not break you down.

Love isn't just between two people engaging in one another. Love is also something we should possess and not all of us have it. Some of us pretend to have it but their spirit shows otherwise. To have love is to be compassionate and kind to others and not just the one we know. In this episode, I talk about that, how it is to love and to be love I hope you enjoy it.

Why is accepting the things that make us well so hard, it's like taking medicine that tastes nasty so we refuse to take it? Not everything we hear will sound pleasing but does it mean it's out to harm us? No, if we as the people want to become better we must be willing to accept the truth about ourselves and not all of it will be good at times. If we want to become excellent in who we are we must be willing to accept criticism that's good for us. In this episode, I explain why it's important to me to hear and accept the things I don't want to always hear about myself, and how we shouldn't take constructive criticism as bad criticism.

We hold ourselves hostage and in a box unable to live because unforgiveness is the glue that keeps us stuck. To experience the freedom needed to grow we must be willing to forgive and let go. Living in our flesh not allowing God's fruit to live in us we are being controlled by our anger, frustrations, and resentments making it impossible to love, be kind, and have joy. This is a message delivered by the fruits of the spirit in mind and if we can't allow ourselves to forgive how can God allow us to be free.

Not knowingly aware of how our decisions can hurt more than what we know, we chose activities or characteristics thinking we are only harming ourselves. Its selfish on our end not taking into consideration who we affect on our end. It is important we discuss the viewpoint we see ourselves, because people can view us higher therefore, the decisions we make are lower than the value we are seen as. Let's get honest and talk about that, and in this episode, we do just that.

This is The ChrisisCorner where we can get honest and understand that perfection is an illusion created by society to distract us from the truth. That truth is... even with flaws we are great, even without prestige we are awesome, even through the abuse we still have a voice. The mistake a lot of us make is, we don’t recognize that imperfections are perfections but to recognize that we must gain acceptance. To learn more about the truth and to hear the truth, come where Christ is the cornerstone and not the internet.
