Collectively Real is all about sharing through storytelling. All I ever want, ask, and give is honesty— always be real— always be authentic. I am so in love with life and felt the need to share and spread the light as much as I can. Storytelling is so important to me and I have found that it is the best tool for us to learn. Each one of us is a gift to each other, and I want to highlight that as much as I can. Collectively Real is where I interview real people with real stories.

My guest today is Brandon T. Adams. Investor, Media Expert, TV Host, and Producer.
Since his early beginning, Brandon has always been a businessman and entrepreneur: from selling ice in his family's business to selling moonshine in college (with a twist), to becoming a 2x Emmy-Award Winner.
His life suddenly changed at 20 years old when he read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. A key piece he learned was that “you can achieve anything that you set your mind to, if you put action towards something; you have a good plan and also, you have the right people around you.”
He’s had major success and major lows: from conquering his dreams to almost going bankrupt.
He shares his stories to help inspire others around him. This has become his passion: to inspire and motivate others, and, most importantly, to push people beyond what they think they can do.
One major thing Brandon has noticed amongst the population is that people don’t think big enough. And most people don’t believe that they have what it takes. When they actually do!

I was putting my groceries away when I realized all of the labels on my kitchen counter.
As a collective, we put so much value, so much merit— even trust— into what a label says.
Once we label something, then we categorize it. We put them in a box.
Think about your pantry! Everything has its place.
Just like the grocery store.
In the store, the boxed/artificial foods are in the center of the store. Whereas the fresh produce is on the OUTSIDE of the store.
The healthier the food, the further out it is… They are the “outsiders”.
Just like the “good” people are on the outside whereas the ‘easily influenced’ are on the inside.
Just like Mean Girls, the movie. Every ‘group’ has their assigned seating section in the cafeteria.
And… this all turns into one analogy.
I realized, people feel safe when they can see a label. Because they’re able to see it and therefore make a quick decision— when in reality, the decision has already been made FOR them. For both people and food purchases.
“The real ones don’t need labels. The real ones don’t need an explanation... their fruit speaks for itself!!”
-- Saleena Justine
For example: if you go into a thorn bush, you cannot expect to get something good out of that bush.
We know the places to go to find the quality we seek.
Once I allowed myself to GET OVER the labels that others have given me or shown me, I have opened up to an entirely new world. I feel liberated and untouchable. I hope you’ll do the same after listening to this episode! XX.
REMEMBER:
EVEN IF you have a solid group of friends/family, it isn’t about what other people say. Even if they have merit and they’re trustworthy people. One friend may love spaghetti while the other friend loves fettuccine Alfredo. Does that make one of these bad? NO! They’re just different flavors for different people.
They are not wrong or right. They just are.
You must be confident in what you know for yourself and what you like for yourself.🧡

WELCOME TO SEASON 3 OF COLLECTIVELY REAL! <3
I am in such a new place in my life that I honestly don’t fully resonate with a lot of my previous ways anymore, and in saying that, I’ve decided to KICK OFF my season in life WITH A NEW SEASON of my podcast!!
I am excited to continue to expand in knowledge and wisdom while remaining humble and rooted in my values... and there is so much more to come in this next chapter.
I've evolved and so here is SEASON 3, BABY!
I share what brought me to move to Florida from California!
I am finally authentically sharing my story of my move with you :)
I break this episode up into a few chapters so that I can really give the story to true attention it deserves...
Chapter 1: The Back Story… Leading Up to the Move
Chapter 2: Preparing for My YES
Chapter 3: Closing Out of California
Chapter 4: Arriving to Florida
Remember... Things don’t make sense looking ahead. It isn’t until we’ve taken our path and then glance back and smile because it all makes sense.
God is a God of details and He knew His plans for you and for me. And when the time is right, we get to connect those dots and gush over the beauty of it all.
Leading up to my move, I was sowing the entire time without even realizing it. NOW, I am in my harvest season. 2020 was the start of my new goals and I am living out those manifestations in the year of 2022 and beyond.
What I Did to Help Prepare For My Move:
My hope is to inspire you to live out your vision. Trust God with your story 🧡.

Janie Charlot has a unique view on healing, that combines a scientific background with a holistic approach. Through her book, Capacity to Love, she invites you to awaken the universal feeling of love and experience the healing power that can be found in connecting with your higher purpose.
We challenge the traditional relationship vs co-existing with your partner. “Tradition” is rooted in programming. And, that should be challenged… We ask: is that truly for me? Ponder that. It’s about the divine masculine and the divine feminine. Feminine energy is being. Masculine energy is doing.
We talk about how we are leaving the Piscean Age and are now entering into the Aquarian Age (you’ll find an understanding of this in the episode)!
"Energy is changing because thoughts are manifesting at a very high rate. But you have to understand it and then use it for good." -- Janie Charlot
Realizations: * We have to make love the bottom line in everything; keep love at the center * Truth can no longer be hidden ~ * Allow energy to flow through you * Observation is important; awareness is important * Go within and break down your own personal programs * Words are spells. Speak KINDLY to yourself + to others * BE the love!!!

Realizations: * Our only job in the world is to be ourselves. Don’t complicate that! * Authenticity is contagious. Inauthenticity is exhausting. * Rest into yourself… and then life becomes magical! * If your inner child is saying “no”, listen to that ~

Eric Twiggs is a Procrastination Prevention Expert. Many years ago, Eric noticed an interesting pattern in people: we don’t procrastinate on EVERYTHING. No one does. In some areas, yes, but, everything? No. He recognized that this underlining pattern is actually the theme of the bigger picture!
The Big Q's:
Eric's Realizations: * Anyone can acquire discipline— it’s just a matter of being aware of it * Don’t be over-critical yourself— extend grace to yourself * Your feelings are just suggestions * Clarity is the starting point of success! The clearer you are on what you want, the easier it will be to ignore those emotional suggestions * Keep yourself accountable. It is one of the grandest ways of showing yourself love and respect. And if you need a coach, friend, therapist…anyone to help keep you accountable, do that. * Set realistic goals for yourself — they add up :-)
“I know people who get good results and I know people who get great results; and surprisingly, they know a lot of the same things. They have a similar intelligence level, but, the difference between the good and the great is that the great can get themselves to do certain things whether they feel like it or not.” — Eric Twiggs

This is a real-time coaching call with Certified FDN-P & Master Method Coach, Megan Warren. First things first: she has me "drop into my body" so that I can get into my subconscious. Fun fact: 95% of what we do is subconscious! Always trust what comes up in your spirit :-) this turned into a body scan and this was where we discovered a few visions I experienced during our chat... and we dive deep ~ My Realizations: * I always have a choice! It’s so FREEING ~ There’s great power in saying no OR yes! * My time is valuable * Money comes to me in all areas! * The Lord has been gifting me a vision, every single morning. It gets me emotional bc He is SO intimate and He’s speaking MY language so I can understand Him. I am such a visual person, and for Him to freely give that to me, is so honoring, that He wants me to hear Him!
Megan's Questions: * What do you think is possible in this health journey? * What are your core values? * How can you be in your best energy today? * What do you believe is true about your future? * Where do you spend your money? --> because that's what you value! * Is there anything you are holding onto that you need to let go of that's no longer serving you?
Exercise Practice: * Tighten up the whole body as tight as you can! And then RELEASE on the exhale :-) * Do a body scan from head to toe: are you holding onto any tension? In the jaw? Neck or throat? Let go of any tension :) * Let your body know that it is safe to let go ~
Quotes: * “The body always tells the truth.” - Megan W. * "I am in balance with my desire." — SJC * “When you tell your body things that are not true, you’re going to feel a tightness in your body or a restriction. And when you say things that are true and that are in alignment with what’s true for you, you feel that YEAH, THIS IS RIGHT— THIS IS TRUE! -- Megan W. * “You’re so connected to God’s Spirit and that’s how you can differentiate what’s a ‘yes’ for you and what’s a ‘no’ for you.” — Megan W. * Every time you say YES, you are strengthening your self-worth muscle." -- Megan W.

Toby’s goal is to enhance his knowledge of psychology, neuroscience, neurophysiology, and optimal brain performance by interviewing experts from distinguished universities, research labs, and clinics around the world. After interviewing over a hundred experts and counting, Toby was determined to find a practical way to apply brain enhancement.
TOBY’S TIPS: * any aerobic exercise is beneficial for boosting a specific brainwave, which is neurogenesis, AKA, the creative brain cells * cut out the sugar! it causes inflammation in the brain (and everywhere in your body) * eat healthy fats (coconut oil, olive oil, ghee avocados, eggs…) * be cognisent of the people + the energy you surround yourself with

This week my my guest is Ashley Holt. Ashley is passionate and committed to bringing women’s voices and leadership into the world. After facing divorce and becoming a single parent, Ashley reinvented her life and turned her pain into power and purpose. I have learned a great deal during this episode and I trust that you will too! We go deep on Ashley’s acronym: G.O.D.D.E.S.S. and we touch base on what each letter represents. We also talk about various techniques, including Emotional Freedom Technique, as well as Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
What is Emotional Freedom Technique?
—>it’s essentially psychological acupuncture without the needle — it touches on the meridian points in the body that hold energy
—> when feeling anxious, fearful or any similar feeling, begin to tap…
—> tap the place in between your knuckles and pinky/ring finger whilst affirming yourself… theres’s also other tapping points (your head, wrist, cheek, etc.)
—> this will instantly calm and restore balance in your mind ~
—> it will re-program your brain
Ashley’s Realizations: * Journal — anything of your choice. It is about making a thought an action~ * Create a vision board for yourself! Surround yourself with your pure intentions. * Be aware of the things you’re saying to yourself. * Find affirmations that work for the season you’re in… personalize it! :-) * Your intention is your GPS! * Victimhood does not serve you.
Every day, all day, we are walking around like little magnets— attracting something into our life… realize, at all times, that you are calling something in. What are you calling in?

This “episode” was merely a coaching call with Megan that turned into something way deeper than I could’ve expected.
I chose to share this with you because my desire is to always be as real as possible, and I know I am not alone in the traumas + wounds that I have— we all have them— and I am hoping that my sharing with you will help you to heal what’s going on in your own life.
Here are some of the gems Megan shared during our time together…
Tune into your body + drop the story… allow your body to tell the story.
Everything that is coming through is meant to be coming through.
Did you know that excitement and* fear* can feel similar in the belly and in the body?
We went DEEP and it was remarkable. I consider myself to be pretty self-aware, and even then, I was stunned with some blockage that came to the surface.

My guest this week is Leah Michelle. Leah is a Marriage & Family therapist.
She learned early on the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ from her maternal grandmother who raised her in the church. Leah’s love for writing came at a young age when she would pen poems to release the pain she felt from not having her parents in her life. Never knowing where her writings would take her, Leah penned her first book...and now has written four in total!
Leah opens up in when and why she just cried out to God. She was angry and had to let it out. I think we can all relate to this in one way or another.

Hazel is a Healing and Transformation Coach. She helps people to live freely, get back to their inner child, and just PLAY.
Main Focus: Breaking through mental blockages.
Hazel was feeling this need to follow what others around her were doing, and so much to a point where she didn’t even recognize her own voice. I think a lot of us can certainly relate to a feeling like this, or similar.
She even draws back to the parenting you may have had (or not had) when you were young. Perhaps your parents worked really pressing jobs and therefore they weren’t around as much.
Hazel provided an example: On a surface level, you could have known that ‘mom and dad are just working’ but on a subconscious level, your thoughts could be ‘oh, they are not here often, I must not be lovable.’ We then repeat these patterns into adulthood. Crazy how this all works out, huh?
We then move to other relationships, such as romantic partners.
Your relationships are not by accident. Remember your ex(es)? Yeah, they also mean more than you can imagine. We tackle this in the episode ;)
“The inner child is the pure version of you who’s just so filled with light, knowledge and has faith in everything and just wants to play . You feel so safe around the world to express yourself. But, as you grow older, you start to heed to other people’s voices…” — Hazel A.; 4:45
“Partners are not just for intimate experience, they’re also a mirror reflection of what we are going through and need to heal.” — Hazel A.; 12:00

Aaron Parnell is a Reposturer— yes, that’s a thing— who is the genius behind making not only your posture better but provides the treatment and tools that can alter and ultimately change your life for the better.
He shares how we can change the “resting B face” and why that’s even “a thing” in the first place. Aaron also teaches us that being confident and satisfied in ourselves is really the first step to create a more harmonious world around us.
We play a mini-game of “Myth or Fact” where he tells the truth about ab workouts and the real way we should be doing the plank. A very intriguing and insightful episode that I personally learned a lot from.

One of the major first steps in building up our confidence is understanding and regulating our emotions, and Emotional Intelligence & Energy Expert, Sarah Farris, provides the tools and insight we need to help us move in the direction of full bloom confidence. We also talk about dating/relationships… and even my own love-life! We also discuss the moving pieces in careers and how to listen to what we actually want. Each section— Confidence, Dating/Relationships, and Career— is followed by an energetic reading, by Sarah, on Me.
"Focus on: ‘who am I?’ ‘what am I already bringing to the table?’ and 'how can I leverage that instead of just focusing on who I’m not, or what I don’t have.'" -- Sarah Farris
"The moments when we really allow ourselves to fully accept who we are, that’s when we’re really able to connect with our innate power. And as a result, shine so much confidence on that." -- Sarah Farris

Intuitive Healer, Shakti Sharma, joins me in the studio today, in the company of my Mom (aka, Momma K) and we share sessions we've personally had with Shakti, how she uses her gift to provide helping tools to her clients; and ultimately discuss the world of energy and how we can grow into ourselves by simply listening to our heart.
We also talk chakras, our soul's color(s), emotional pain turning into physical pain, and so much more.
“What has happened over time is that as a society, we have learned to not trust intuition. So, the intuition is not a matter of learning, the intuition is the matter of trusting.” - Shakti Sharma
"It was about 15 minutes in and I remember telling her, 'hold on, I need to take this off' [her back brace]. I just felt this release in my core section as I’m sitting... Even though I’m still sitting, I could feel that I had this release in my body.” - Karla Cerrillo (My Mom)

She let this cancer fuel and completely motivate her to change her life. She has found so much grace and gratitude for her new life with a new perspective. She has created a health app, Communikind, where she shines with passion and compassion for others.

This is the final episode of the series… and a deep one at that. Perhaps you’ve struggled with feeling a little less than great when you’re intimate with someone or have invested so much into someone that you feel at a loss. I ask you some difficult and very personal questions, but it’s to get to the root cause of how you may be feeling— positive or negative. I talk about sex and soul ties. And confess my difficult road to figuring both out. To really end the series, I tied together a quick list of tips to summarize the Healthy Lifestyle Series.

The second to last episode of this series! Sarah and I talk in-depth about 5 different ways to improve your everyday environment and atmosphere. There's such an importance on the sometimes dull, but nonetheless, everyday things, and sometimes we just don't think about them as much as we should.
We also cover (and will carry onto next week's episode) intake. Did you know that it only takes 7 minutes for your brain to reprogram-- scary, isn't it? What are you feeding your brain?
"Anything that literally makes you, you, I think it's important to be surrounded by that."

A healthy lifestyle involves so many parts of our unseen roots: the friends we hang out with (hi to the 5 closest people to you!), the importance of sleep, and our emotional and intellectual care. I cover why these different elements are important to sustain a healthy life, and how you can go about doing so. Some tough questions are asked— but that’s often the best way to grow!

Most people find themselves struggling with the motivation to live a healthy lifestyle. Most of that struggle stems from that of 'what is healthy food, anyway?' or similar questions to that. Sarah and I break down what it can look like for you to live a healthy lifestyle-- starting with food!
We give 3 main questions that make it easy for you to ask yourself to be sure you're staying on track for a great life.
This will be a series of episodes-- because there's so much more to a healthy lifestyle than just food itself.
Enjoy!

Have you ever felt an inkling to do something for someone or tell somebody something, but at the same time not wanting to overstep any boundaries? Or quite frankly, you just don't reach out because you don’t want to? Well sometimes we have to do the exact opposite of what we're feeling and do what that inner voice is telling us to do. Sometimes our assignment is bigger than us.
I talk about how the voice that I heard on a Tuesday morning turned out to be one of the most heartwarming experiences for me. And all I had to do was obey the message.
"Sometimes it's just doing something kind, just to do something kind."

Many of us have struggled with body confidence. Sometimes it’s a phase that we (thankfully) outgrow, and other times it’s something more than that. Something so crippling to you that you haveto make a change. I have experienced this in more ways than one. And this time I decided-- no more. Join me as I get honest about something I’ve struggled with for years. I hope my story can inspire and/or educate the next person.

Everything happens for a reason— whether it’s acknowledged or not. It could be the annoying delay in our morning commute or making a wrong turn and ending up somewhere even better. Good or “bad” - it led us to where we belong. With the connection to time, Sarah and I mention weird mishaps on our recent visit to LA, as well as in recent weeks. And even though we may not understand now… everything will make sense soon. Remember to keep in mind the bigger picture of life.

We hear it in the news, we see it happen to those around us. The mere fact that when I typed in “Police” into my keyboard, “Brutality” popped up as the next suggested word. This has got to stop. I believe that with each story we share, it exposes this ugly truth— this grim reality— and we can further educate each other; and once education takes place, change can take place. Take a listen to one of my best friends, Sarah Alinejad, as she tells her story. And once you hear it, share it with those next to you. Let’s keep the storytelling going.
