Sixteen-year-old Geronimo has a lot of fears, and his friends seem so tough. So he decides to ask them, "What is your greatest fear?"
Seventeen-year-old Paloma Martinez lives in Tucson, Arizona. She's heard that a global water crisis might be coming, and her mom thinks Tucson is going to become a ghost town soon. So Paloma asks the experts: how worried, exactly, should she be about her desert home?
This story features interviews with Sharon Megdal, a scientist at the University of Arizona and the Director of The University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center; Joaquin Murrieta-Salvidar, a cultural ecologist at Tucson Watershed Management, and James MacAdam, a supervisor at Tucson Water.
When Samantha asked her mom why so many people in her family have been incarcerated, her mom said it was "poor choices." But Sam wanted to know why. Why do people make bad choices? And does prison teach people to make good choices?

When you're a teenager, it's hard to understand how "the economy" has anything to do with your life. But when Makele's dad lost his job and their home was foreclosed on, it got personal. This story about the 2008 financial crisis won the Arizona Interscholastic Press Association’s highest honors, and was featured on Phoenix’s NPR station, KJZZ. On January 8, 2011, US Representative Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others were shot at a “Congress on Your Corner” event at a grocery store in Tucson. Teenagers at City High School were deeply affected by this mass shooting in their own hometown.
