We wrap up the 2019 Owlz season by talking about our favorite memories from the season, which player did the best, and most importantly which team had the best post game meal. Don't cry because the seasons over smile because it happened, and also cheer against the Ogden Raptors.
On a very special episode we highlight how the Owlz playoff push is going, and what its going to take for them to get into the playoffs. We name our game/player from last week, and go around the pioneer league. We have an awesome interview with Owlz reliever Zac Kristofak, he tells us the best place to eat in Atlanta, and describes the 20 inning game. We finish the episode playing 20 questions with baseball players.
The Owlz continue their playoff push, and we are here to give you the week recap. Starting off we name The Owlz Nest player/game of the week. Moving on to the recap around the Pioneer league leader board. We finish this weeks episode with a recap of this weeks MLB players weekend, and how our MLB teams are faring.
We bring you coverage of the Orem Owlz team during their 6 game win streak, crowning the most important addition to the team. We interview Torii Hunter, and he gives us the secret to the perfect PB&J sandwich. We finish the episode breaking down 2 classic baseball movies.
We Review the Allstar break, and the series with Missoula. We name player of the week, and game of the wee.
This week we interview Angles 2019 1st round pick Will Wilson. We talk to him about getting drafted in the first round, playing at NC State, and learning from Trea Turner and Mike Trout. He tells us his favorite food, and which teammate he would bring on a desert island to help get off. We recap the last 2 weeks with the Owlz and Pioneer league.
Special two interview episode. We start by interviewing Owlz outfielder D'Shawn Knowles. We talk to him about growing up in the Bahamas, and what it's like to play baseball there. He tells us about playing with his twin brother, how he got so fast, and his love for Spongebob. Our second interview is pitcher Darrien Williams. We talk with him about growing up in Texas playing high school football, playing at a HBCU, and what its like to come into the game during a high pressure situation. He also tells us the starting 5 Owlz basketball team.
On this weeks episode we interview 2018 Angels second round pick Jeremiah Jackson, talk to him about being really good at baseball, discuss his draft day, and ask if its ever acceptable to double dip. We take you through the Owlz last week and name the game of the week and player of the week. We wrap up the episode answering listener questions and talking about former Pioneer league players in the Hall of Fame.
On this weeks episode we interview former BYU and MLB player Cory Snyder. We ask him about playing in the MLB, coaching in the minor league, and his first college game hitting the first three balls he saw for three home runs. We discuss news around the Pioneer league, and give our thoughts on the new rules coming to the MLB.
