Today’s guest has spent most of his life in the public eye. He built a lucrative career as a singer and songwriter, amassing all the worldly riches one could want. While he experienced great monetary success, filling his life with money, boats, cars, and condos on the beach, he lacked a sense of fulfillment and set out on a journey in search of purpose.
Through reason and faith, he took a risk and changed course until he stumbled upon the light of Christ. Since that encounter, he has left his old life behind and has walked in faith.
He started small, telling youth the story of how he encountered the living God while working as a youth minister at St. James Church in Stratford, CT. Slowly he increased his audience to speak to hundreds of thousands of people internationally over the past 20 years, reaching his audience through his books, music, and speeches.
His international travel led him to Haiti, which is the poorest country in the western hemisphere. The poverty he saw there moved him to action, and he went to God and asked him to help build an orphanage where he could help create future leaders of the faith for the country of Haiti. God said yes and helped turn his vision into a reality. With a fantastic team behind him, an orphanage was built, and the organization called “Haiti180” was established. To date, they have built an orphanage, a beautiful chapel, a school with 350 students, two elderly homes, and a state-of-the-art medical facility.
When he is not speaking, performing, or in Haiti, he is with his wife Julie and their three children in Nashville, TN.

Deborah is best known for her book “ARISE: Out of the Ashes,” which chronicles the complete loss of her home, the two gifts God left among the ashes, and the redemption that followed.
Deborah began as a Women's Ministry Leader in a large church in Ohio. After planning, organizing, and teaching for many years, God directed her to begin writing her own studies and her first award-winning book, Gushing Springs. The writing in turn led her to testify to women on God's behalf. She stepped out in faith and churches began calling. She hasn't looked back, speaking at conferences and events from coast to coast.

Finding Your Light In A Sea Of Darkness Life is an ocean. It is a vast expanse of opportunity with countless shores to explore. At times its waters are calm & peaceful, allowing you to enjoy its majesty while it lulls you to sleep with its gentle lullaby. Other times, the ocean is rough, angry, and turbulent, tossing you to and fro in its rage and turning your world upside down as you are forced to fight for survival.
The ocean is not fair; it doesn’t choose sides or discriminate. It follows its ebbs and flows without regard to your feelings or your input. Many a ship has been lost at sea, slammed into the rocks of despair, especially at night.
In the darkness, visibility is reduced by the thick black walls of night. Life is hard enough with eyes to see, but you can succumb to fear and desperation without light. Most people drift aimlessly through life lost, broken, and in search of meaning. They get distracted and follow the drift currents of social expectation, which keeps them from seeking their very purpose.
They don’t realize that they were made for a purpose, born to follow the light shining out on the water, leading them to the harbor’s safety. A lighthouse is a beacon of hope and faith. It light brings you to hope for a better tomorrow, and you can have faith in its light to guide you through the darkness.
Lighthouses pour their light on the water for sinking souls to see, rescuing millions from the darkness. Though each lighthouse has its own distinctions and signature, its light comes from a universal source that longs to save you.
The question is, will you ever find the light, or will you drift evermore?

Pushing Boulders: The Four M’s of Success
In Greek Mythology, Sisyphus was the king of Ephyra (now known as Corinth). He was full of deceit and betrayed Zeus by revealing his secrets. He also tricked Hades, who was sent to chain him but instead, Hades was the one who ended up in chains. For his chronic deceitfulness, he was severely punished.
Each day, he was forced to push a boulder up a hill at the crack of dawn. He would toil all day long until the boulder reached the summit, where he had to endure watching it rolling back down at sunset. Instead of death, he was made to repeat this action forever each morning, starting again at the bottom. Tasks such as this which seem futile and hopeless, are called Sisyphean tasks.
Although the path toward success at times may feel Sisyphean, you are not limited to reaching just the summit. Even though the task is not easy and may seem too heavy or even impossible by reaching the summit, the boulder will then roll itself down the other side of the mountain without much help from you. But to achieve that goal, we need positive momentum.

The Power Of Pivoting
There is a very powerful saying, “You’re like a tea bag-not worth much until you have been through some hot water.” That is to say, unless and until you have experienced and survived adversity, you cannot help guide others through the storms of life.
In this life, we have very little control of the inevitable storms of life. We do, however, have complete control over how we prepare for and perceive those storms. Storms are an essential part of life because it is in these storms, we build up the resilience to move ahead. It is also in this adversity and failure that we learn to succeed. “Failure is the greatest laboratory of success.”
It is also important to note that the most successful people are not generally the ones who had an easy road but those who have endured hardships and learned how to adjust their sails and change direction.

But it is not the only set of rules available on the subject. Some are self-evident, like don't commit adultery or don't beat your spouse. Other rules are common knowledge like not going to bed mad and the necessity of spending time together.

How to turn “ONE SIMPLE IDEA” into a licensing goldmine with author Stephen Key
Have you ever looked at an item and thought to yourself, why didn't I think of that? Have you ever had an idea for a product only to find something similar on store shelves sometime later? The cornerstone of all wealth building is the habit of saving. It is how you can systematically distribute your income so that a substantial percentage will steadily accumulate. No one may succeed in life very long without developing the habit of saving money. There is no exception to this rule, and no one may escape it.
If you were to ask the average person how they define success, they would most assuredly respond that successful people have lots of money. Why then, in a society that defines wealth as a criterion for success, are so few people educated on how to accumulate money?
The answer to that question varies but one thing is sure, the current of social expectation does not live up to the promise that if you work real hard, you will make it, as evidenced by the following statistics.
Out of 100 people who start working at the age of 25, by the age of 65:
- 1% are wealthy
- 4% have adequate capital stowed away for retirement
- 3% are still working
- 63% is dependant on Social Security, friends, relatives, or charity.
- 29% are dead.
Out of every 100 people who reach the retirement age of 65:
- 62 retire with less than $25,000 in assets and depend on Social Security or family for their retirement.
- Another 35 retires with less than $100,000, have some form of pension in addition to Social Security, and are just making it in their retirement. If either Social Security or their pension went away, they would have a tough time surviving.
- 2 of the 3 remaining retirees have an adequate pension or retirement account. They have assets of between $100,000 and $750,000. They do appreciate having the additional money they receive from Social Security but could survive without it.
- The last of these 100 retirees is the only one who is financially independent. This retiree has assets approaching or exceeding $1,000,000. They do not need the income from Social Security at all.
Which group above will you be in when it is time for you to retire?
Clearly, something is not working if 95% of people will fail to accumulate sufficient money to get them through their retirement years.

According to a recent report from the Center for Disease Control, it is projected that by 2030, half of all adults or 115 million people in the United States will be obese; making it a problem of epidemic proportions as it is taking over many parts of the world. It is one of the most obvious but ignored health problems facing Americans today and is already responsible for 24% of our total health care costs annually.
So, what is behind this problem?
More than 80% of adults & adolescents do not meet the recommended physical activity guidelines and the typical American diet exceeds the recommended intake levels or limits in four categories: calories from solid fats and added sugars; refined grains; sodium; and saturated fat, making the old adage “Diet & Exercise” as true statement today as it has ever been.
So why is it so hard to meet these recommendations?
The answer is, the world is changing. Once we had to hunt and forage for food which gave us exercise and forced us to eat off the land naturally but today, we live in a world of convenience where all the food you need is just a car ride away.
Exposure to a never-ending array of processed foods and the decreased activity of a workforce primarily sitting behind a screen for 8 hours a day had caused us to develop poor habits of health which we are passing down from generation to generation.

In America today, roughly 33% of citizens think that the government is credible, and 60% find it hard to discern between real and fake news. But the media and government aren’t the only systems suffering from severe mistrust, over the past few decades, trust in our healthcare system has fallen substantially to a level where only 23% of Americans express a great deal or quite a lot of confidence in the healthcare system.
It’s no wonder as 250,000 America die each year as a result of medical error, 20% of U.S. healthcare resources get wasted on medical treatments that people don’t need. Why should people trust a healthcare system that makes so many mistakes and spends so much needless money?
That is why I believe that about one-third of Americans are turning to alternative medical therapies not regarded as orthodox by the medical profession, such as herbalism, homeopathy, and acupuncture, as well as alternatives to pharmaceutical medications.
In a survey that was conducted by the Bridgefield Group, 42% of respondents reported that they had stopped using pharmaceutical drugs and over-the-counter medication since turning to CBD products. When asked about the effectiveness of CBD products, 66% of users claimed that CBD was much more effective at relieving their medical conditions than over-the-counter drugs. Fifty-six percent of hemp-derived CBD product users and 52 percent of marijuana-derived CBD product users claimed that CBD was much more effective than pharmaceutical drugs.
With many patients opting to give up pharmaceutical drugs in favor of CBD, the medical industry stands to undergo an evolution in terms of traditional medication. So, are natural solutions such as CBD and as effective as conventional chemical remedies?

Inquiring minds have been asking the question "why" since the dawn of time. As such, they have explored our solar system, mountains, deserts, forests, and waters, and yet, though seventy percent of our world is covered in water, only 5% of that water has been mapped, observed, or explored. The depths of the ocean average 3,730 meters and 99% of it is in the dark and contains thousands of alien species, which make it the perfect place for our imagination to get the best of us.
Though we know of the existence of giant cephalopods, like the colossal squid that measures 30 feet in length, the imagination of Mankind has combined that which we identify with the vast unknown to create many mythical sea creatures like the Kracken.
The Kracken is an enormous cephalopod powerful enough to wrap itself around an entire ship, breaking into pieces, leaving the inhabitants to fight for their Life against a beast intent on drowning them before consuming them with its beak-like mouth. The Kracken has been the subject of movies like Clash of the Titans and in books by Jules Verne and Victor Hugo.
These sea monsters have been responsible for striking fear in the hearts of explorers for ages causing Mankind to run from sea monsters that aren't chasing them because of FEAR.

Since the beginning of recorded time, some of the world’s greatest thinkers have been trying to figure out the keys to unlocking human nature. Philosophers & scientists of every culture have struggled to create a system to explain how we process information, relate to one another, handle conflict, make decisions, deal with change, and communicate!
Some theories have risen to the top while others have been surrendered to the scrapheap of time and fallen out of favor. What is interesting, though is that most theories share two distinct things in common:
Our psyche consists of sub-personalities, temperaments, sub-egos, etc.
That there are four such sub-personalities, temperaments, & sub-egos. 80% of us are blends of two or more, 27% have dominance in one and 3% of us are a rare, near-perfect fusion of all four.
Your personality is your trademark. It is the thing by which people recognize you. You have to ask yourself a question, “Does my mask or persona, cause people to be attracted to you or be repelled by you. Your highest and best cause is to become an expert on the answer to that question.
Why? Because It helps you to get in touch with who you are and also learn to communicate effectively with those around you.
“The Stanford Research Institute, Harvard University, and the Carnegie Foundation spent 1 million dollars and five years in research that proved: 85% of the reason you get a job, keep a job and move ahead in a job has to do with your ability to understand other people and effectively communicate with them!”
The Word “personality” originated from the Latin “persona”, meaning mask. In the theatre of the ancient Latin-speaking world, the mask was used not as a disguise but rather as a plot device to typify the character. I call that mask your Behavioral Element.
