The Retreat is now embedded in the new studio on K Road, with Kris and Rob drawing inspiration from the new studio space, and Rob opening the show with a poem. In sport, Rob discusses his chance to see Spurs live in action, and Kris quickly abandons his plan to play Cure-adjacent music in favour of a set full of danceable bangers. Rob brings in some horrible snacks, reads a poem, and in sport, gets excited for the upcoming Tottenham vs AFC match. Kris enjoys the Hallertau Tropic Stout, inexplicably complains about Tom Hiddleston (again) on TV on the Radio...and plays a whole lot of music as well.

Kris and Rob are joined by guest selector Alex, who argues with Rob about the World Cup during Sport. In TV on the Radio Kris and Rob agree to try actor Timothy Spall's middle class tea concoction (1 bag Yorkshire Tea, one bag Earl Grey) next Saturday. There is also music! It’s a Kris and Rob edition of Plato's Retreat. Kris kicks things off with 8 minutes of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Rob brings the Sport and a controversial edition of Emmerdale in which we discover who has been poisoning Kim Tate.
The Plato's team serve you up another tasty, piping hot mug of Retreat. With a brand new, custom built intro song (courtesy of The Zenmenn) the team deliver a hearty and fullsome show of music, special extended sports segment (with reports from boots on the ground reporter Jenn Tamati), and the notorious Emmerdale review.
After a few false starts, the Plato's Retreate team set off on a Saturday voyage through music and frivolity. Jenn brings some absolutely stellar tunes, Kris talks some crap, and Rob delivers another big dollop of Sport and a spoonful of Emmerdale.
