The Retreat is now embedded in the new studio on K Road, with Kris and Rob drawing inspiration from the new studio space, and Rob opening the show with a poem. In sport, Rob discusses his chance to see Spurs live in action, and Kris quickly abandons his plan to play Cure-adjacent music in favour of a set full of danceable bangers. All made possible with the generous support of Hallertau!
Rob brings in some horrible snacks, reads a poem, and in sport, gets excited for the upcoming Tottenham vs AFC match. Kris enjoys the Hallertau Tropic Stout, inexplicably complains about Tom Hiddleston (again) on TV on the Radio...and plays a whole lot of music as well.
Rob Bollox and his wee mate join you from the liminal space of the transitional B studio in preperation for the big move to K Road. Plato's Retreat is powered by the good people at Hallertau!
This week Kris and Rob experiment with mixing tea, drink some delicious Hallertau #0 Pale Ales, and Rob even reads a poem!
Kris and Rob are joined by guest selector Alex, who argues with Rob about the World Cup during Sport. In TV on the Radio Kris and Rob agree to try actor Timothy Spall's middle class tea concoction (1 bag Yorkshire Tea, one bag Earl Grey) next Saturday. There is also music! All brought to you with the generous support (and beers) of Hallertau.
Plato's residents Kris McFang and Rob Bollox are back, bringing you a show of bodily functions, sports, television, a $1 record, a Gin, music old and new, and of course beers (the #2.5 Mexican Lager with Lime, 2.5%) from their good friends at Hallertau!
This week, news teamers Alex & Manny filled in for Kris & Rob. It's NZ Music Month, and to celebrate Alex & Manny bring you a show of 100% music from Aotearoa.
Thanks to Hallertau!
The full Plato's Retreat team bring you a special live to air from the Hallertau Brewery in Riverhead to celebrate the release of the 95BeerFM Lager (you can get yours HERE, with $10 of each sale going to bFM).
The full team is back in the studio delivering a special treat for Plato's Retreat, in the form of the Covers Special! Listeners love to hate it, and hate to love it, and this edition continues in the proud tradition of seeking out the best and worst covers to be found anywhere.
A favourite among chaotic duos get on the air waves this weekend! Milly and Rob bring out ALL the classics and take you on an eccentric journey through sports and TV.
Everyone is at Splore, so Jonny gets behind the controls for some playtime.
Thanks to Hallertau!
In which the full Plato's team are joined by special guest Manuel Darquart for a guest mix from 5pm, preceded by a basketball heavy sports section, and Rob Bollox asks the big questions during TV on the Radio at 6pm.
In which Kris plays a host of vinyl from the Bfm library, and the team talk sports at 5pm and television to fall asleep to in TV on the Radio at 6pm.

The Plato's team takes you through some of the best and worst covers that you didnt know you needed to hear (along with a few that you probably didn't need to hear at all). On this edition of Plato's Retreat we are joined by special guest DJ Kodi Lotto to discuss an upcoming release by DJ Kappa Wam on B2BO: Been To Berlin Once (https://b2bo.bandcamp.com/). In the interview he plays 3 worldwide exclusive tracks for your listening pleasure.
On this edition of Plato's Rob gains a secret admirer, Kris bungles his intro, and Aneeka is stricken with (and then cured of) the dreaded hiccups. Music is also played, with one listener describing it as a "fun show".

It’s a Kris and Rob edition of Plato's Retreat. Kris kicks things off with 8 minutes of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Rob brings the Sport and a controversial edition of Emmerdale in which we discover who has been poisoning Kim Tate.
The Plato's team serve you up another tasty, piping hot mug of Retreat. With a brand new, custom built intro song (courtesy of The Zenmenn) the team deliver a hearty and fullsome show of music, special extended sports segment (with reports from boots on the ground reporter Jenn Tamati), and the notorious Emmerdale review.
After a few false starts, the Plato's Retreate team set off on a Saturday voyage through music and frivolity. Jenn brings some absolutely stellar tunes, Kris talks some crap, and Rob delivers another big dollop of Sport and a spoonful of Emmerdale.
The Plato's Retreate bring you another three hour show full of fun, frivolity, sport and Emmerdale. Kris and Jenn exchange a range of exciting disco and Kris goes off on a vocoder driven tangent. Also in Emmerdale news the team take a call from a first time listener who witnessed, first hand, the DJ prowess of one Kane Dingle!
Its another Covers Special! The Plato's Retreate team bring you all that is good, bad, and bordeline in this show dedicated to the art of the cover version. Mr Rob Bollix brings Sport and Emmerdale as per usual, and also, Jenn brings in a specially made (and long promised) Milk Stout Chocolate Cake!
Another addition of PLato's Retreat, proudly brought to you by Beer Hug. This week the team taste Beer Hug's upcoming brewery tour from Marlborough's Renaissance Brewing at 4:30. Rob describes his football woes at 5pm, and everyone gets fired up for another round of Emmerdale weirdness at 6pm.
