Gary Mendell is the founder and CEO of Shatterproof, a national nonprofit dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States. After losing his son Brian to addiction in 2011, Gary founded Shatterproof to spare other families the tragedy his had suffered.
Mendell recounts the tragedy of his sonâs passing and details the lessons learned that led to the creation of the non-profit Shatterproof. He discusses the importance of combatting the stigma faced by those suffering from addiction and cites the volume of evidence-based treatments currently available. With all these tools available and leveraged by Shatterproof, Mendell has a positive outlook on the battle to combat the addiction and mental health crisis.

By tapping to both the S2F and the logarithmic regression, PlanB suggested that the primary cryptocurrency will reach $100k by the end of 2023.
PlanB, the anonymous Twitter pseudonym created the Bitcoin Stock-to-Flow (S2F) model where he uses scarcity to quantify Bitcoin value. A year later he introduced the Stock-to-Flow Cross Asset (S2FX) model, which includes gold, silver, diamond and real estate data. He is now primarily focusing on Bitcoin valuation models, on-chain analysis and investment strategies. PlanB refers to an alternative plan for quantitative easing, negative interest rates and currency debasement in general. 100trillionUSD is a reference to the Zimbabwe 100trillion dollar note during the 2008 hyperinflation.

Overall, prices climbed 6.8% year-over-year, the largest increase since June 1982, and rose 0.8% over the past month. Higher prices were âbroad-based,â per the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), with substantial increases seen in the indexes for gasoline, shelter, food and new and used vehicles. The gasoline index alone rose 6.1% in November. Of course, those items are key to the basic financial life of normal Americans, thereby stretching their bottom line even thinner.

To understand those implications, we must first examine the recent history of the primary instrument that bitcoin was invented to challenge: the American dollar.
Toward the end of World War II, in an agreement hashed out by 44 Allied countries in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, the value of the U.S. dollar was formally fixed to 1/35th of the price of an ounce of gold. Other countries' currencies, such as the British pound and the French franc, were in turn pegged to the dollar, making the dollar the world's official reserve currency."

Joe Torre was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY on July 27, 2014 and the New York Yankees retired his Number 6 at a ceremony at Yankee Stadium the following month. Joe is currently a consultant to Major League Baseball Commissioner Robert Manfred. Prior to his current role, he served as the Chief Baseball Officer for Major League Baseball. In this capacity, he was responsible for overseeing several areas that included Major League Operations, On-Field Operations, On-Field Discipline and Umpiring. He served as the Office of the Commissionerâs primary liaison to the general managers and field managers of the 30 Major League Clubs regarding all baseball and on-field matters.
Bobby Valentine was born and raised in Stamford, the son of Joseph and Grace. Bobby attended Ryle Elementary, Cloonan Middle School, and Rippowam High School, where he was elected student body president and became the only three-time All-State football player in Connecticut history. Bobby received a scholarship to the University of Southern California and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1968. After 10 seasons as a professional baseball player, Bobby made his major league managerial debut in 1985 with the Texas Rangers. He was the American League Manager of the Year in 1986 and went onto become the winningest manager in Rangers history. Bobby began managing the New York Mets in 1996 and led the team to back-to-back postseasons, including a 2000 World Series appearance. He also won the 2005 Japan Series Championship while managing the Chiba Lotte Marines.

Brett Harrison is the President of FTX US, a US-regulated cryptocurrency exchange. Prior to joining FTX US, Brett was Head of Semi-Systematic Technology at Citadel Securities, where he managed technology for the firmâs Options, ETF, OTC, and ADR trading globally. He began and spent the majority of his career at Jane Street, where he led the firmâs algorithmic trading system development. He also previously worked at Headlands Technologies as a senior software developer. Brett received his M.S. and B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard.

Congressman Brendan F. Boyle was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia. The son of an immigrant, Congressman Boyleâs father was a janitor for SEPTA and his mother was a school crossing guard.
He was elected to the Pennsylvania state legislature in 2008, becoming the first Democrat to ever represent his legislative district. Two years later his brother, Kevin, was also elected to the state legislature, making them the first brothers to serve together in the state House. In 2014, Congressman Boyle pulled off an upset win over three better funded rivals to be elected to Congress.
Now in his fourth term, Congressman Boyle represents the 2nd congressional district of Pennsylvania which is fully enclosed within the City of Philadelphia. He currently serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and on the Select Revenue Subcommittee and Trade Subcommittee thereof. He also serves on the House Committee on the Budget. He previously served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government. Congressman Boyle also serves as a member of the United States Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Andrew is responsible for developing and implementing Fitch's sustainable finance strategy, across ratings and the broader Fitch group. His group is based in London, New York, and Hong Kong. In 2019 Fitch Ratings rolled out an integrated cross-asset scoring system for credit ratings to display how environmental, social and governance factors impact individual credit rating decisions. Prior to his current role Andrew held several senior management positions for Fitch in EMEA and Asia. Andrew joined Fitch 17 years ago with a background in project finance, private equity, LBOâs and M&A from investment banking and equity investments. Andrew is currently an advisory committee member of the UN PRI credit ratings initiative, and during the early 2000âs was an independent expert for the UN ECE advising on risk issues and sustainable energy development.
Andrew graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Psychology, and has a postgraduate diploma from INSEAD in global management.

Zac Prince is the Chief Executive Officer of BlockFi. Founded in 2017, BlockFi provides trade execution services for institutions and opportunities for retail investors to earn a yield on their bitcoin holdings. In January 2018, BlockFi launched its first product: USD loans backed by cryptocurrency for cryptocurrency holders allowing them to offer their bitcoin, ether or litecoin assets as collateral for a loan. In 2019, BlockFi launched its second major product to retail customers, a crypto-funded interest account. With this account, customers deposit bitcoin, ether or litecoin with the company for the assets to accumulate cumulative interest every month. BlockFi has previously advertised 6.2% annual interest, compounded monthly. The firm has $10 billion in outstanding loans, $15 billion in total assets and has been operating profitably for several months.
Prior to starting BlockFi, he led business development teams at Orchard Platform, a broker dealer and RIA in the online lending sector, and Zibby, an online consumer lender. He graduated Cum Laude from Texas State University with a BA in International Business and minor in Spanish.

Kenneth Juster is the 25th United States Ambassador to India (2017-2021). Juster has over 40 years of experience as a senior business executive, senior government official, and senior law partner.
Juster served as the 25th United States Ambassador to the Republic of India from November 2017 to January 2021. He was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. He led the third largest U.S. Mission in the world, with an Embassy and four Consulates, and approximately 2,500 employees representing over 30 U.S. government departments, agencies, and offices. He was involved in a broad range of issues across many sectors, including defense, energy, technology, finance, aviation, health, agriculture, education, and space. For his service, Juster received the highest honors of several U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Stateâs Distinguished Service Award, the Department of Defenseâs Distinguished Public Service Award, the Director of National Intelligenceâs Exceptional Service Award, and the Department of Energyâs Excellence Award.
In 2017, Juster served as the Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. He was a senior member of both the National Security Council and the National Economic Council. In this role, Juster coordinated the Administrationâs international economic policy and integrated it with national security and foreign policy. He also served as the lead U.S. negotiator in the run-up to the G7 Summit in Taormina, Italy.

Michael Greenwald is the Director of Tiedemann Advisors. His expertise is in the future of the U.S. dollar and digital currencies; illicit finance; sanctions; and affairs in the Gulf/Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
Greenwald previously worked in senior roles within the United States Treasury working with Africa and Europe. He served as a financial diplomat in the Middle East spanning the tenures of U.S. Treasury Secretaries Geithner, Lew, and Mnuchin. Greenwald initially served as the United States Treasury Policy Advisor for Europe. In this role, he was appointed head of the United States Delegation to the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism before the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. Greenwald was part of the U.S. Treasury team that crafted U.S. sanctions against Russia, the largest U.S. sanctions program to date, and negotiated similar sanctions by Europe. Most recently, he served as the first United States Treasury AttachĂŠ appointed to Qatar and Kuwait and opened the Treasury Departmentâs office in Doha, Qatar in August 2015.
He also served in a variety of roles in the U.S. Intelligence Community and in the Office of General Council at the U.S Treasury. Greenwald worked closely with the National Security Council at the White House tackling issues and crafting sanctions programs related to countering ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, Ukraine/Russia, Syria, and North Korea.

Valerie Mosley is the Founder of Valmo Ventures. Valerie created Valmo Ventures to advise and invest in companies that add value to both investors and society. She recently founded BrightUp, a FinTech company focused on democratizing wealth building and wellbeing. Mosley sits on several boards including Eaton Vanceâs family of mutual funds, DraftKings, Groupon and Envestnet. Previously, she was an SVP, partner, portfolio manager and investment strategist at Wellington Management Company, a $1 trillion money management firm. Mosley was named UKâs Powerlist International Person of the Year 2017, and one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business and one of the Top 75 African Americans on Wall Street by Black Enterprise Magazine.
Valerie Mosley has always sought to bring people together in order to share different perspectives and build understanding. As a freshman at Duke University in the 1970s, she put together talks on race relations after learning she was the first black person many of her white classmates had met. She left a successful career at Wellington Management Company to pursue a more impact-oriented career focused on wealth building and wellbeing. Mosley cites the stagnation of wages among the bottom 80% of earners and its negative effect in the face of rapidly rising costs in health care, housing and education. Teaching financial literacy to the underserved is designed to have a compounding effect on both wealth and quality of life.
âIâm very interested in compounding compassion and compounding interest. If you widen your lens just a little, then youâll learn things like the median cost for a payday loan, at a time when interest rates are zero, is 391%. Thatâs unconscionable.â

On the Road Less Traveled is the inspirational story of Edmund A. Hajim, an American financier and philanthropist who rises from dire childhood circumstances to achieve professional success and personal fulfillment. At age three, Hajim is kidnapped by his father, driven from St. Louis to Los Angeles, and told that his mother is dead. His father soon abandons him in order to seek employmentâmostly in vainâleaving his son behind in a string of foster homes and orphanages. This establishes a pattern of neglect and desertion that continues for Hajimâs entire childhood, forever leaving its mark. Kim Scott and Trier Bryant are the co-founders of Just Work. This isnât Trierâs first foray into diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) work. She started her career in the Air Force, where she implemented her senior capstone project that highlighted the lack of diversity across all the service academies and how that ultimately affects the lack of officer diversity. From there she led teams at Goldman Sachs, Twitter, and Astra, and she also founded DE&I consulting firm Pathfinder.
Kim was inspired to write "Just Work" after feedback from underrepresented professionals made it clear that not everyone is able to use the strategies outlined in "Radical Candor" equitably and equally. Chamath Palihapitiya is the CEO of Social Capital, Chairman of Virgin Galactic, and owner of the Golden State Warriors.
Chamath believes there is a dispersion occurring in both the public and private markets between the âhaveâsâ and the âhave-nots.â The cycle of building a company and profiting from it is broken, as it now takes too long to see a profit. Politically, he believes there will be a change of the guard come 2024. âPolitically, this is the last gasp for Boomers.â There will be new alternatives on both sides but in general, there will be a shift to the left. Things like higher education cannot become akin to luxury goods.
