Bio:
Keabetswe Khage known to the masses as Kay Mood WEAPONz is a DJ/Podcaster hailing from Gauteng, Pretoria in Mabopane. Born in 1997 April 8th, Kay Mood discovered his love for House Music at 13 years young through his uncle David 'DJ Dede' Khage.

In the year 2012, A trio called Adventures Of Deep SA was formed through childhood friends Itumeleng 'Marvel Heinz' Magopane & Gift 'Ceeco Neido' Masilela. The trio later became a duo of Marvel Heinz & Kay Mood WEAPONz till this day.

Influenced by shows like Deeper Shades Of House, Freerange Radio Show & Deep Space Podcast, Kay Mood WEAPONz decided to venture into the art of DJ'ying through the help of Andrew Boiyane (Drewberry) in 2013.

Kay Mood WEAPONz has recorded a numerous number of guest mixes for shows like Deep Space Podcast (hosted by Marcelo Tavares), Interminable Melodies Podcast (hosted by Kaytroniq 94), The Excursion c.2014 (hosted by DeepAssassin SA) just to name a few & has also earned a slot on The Excursion c.2014 from the year 2016 till 2018.

He's also pushing his own podcast show called Controversial Objections on HearthisAt (link below). Currently Kay Mood WEAPONz only does podcasts & few gigs here & there but he's a force to be reckoned with when given a chance.

Bio:

Marvin Makhoba is not only a HOUSE hold name in Osizweni (a township in Newcastle), but has come to make his mark all over the club scene in KZN.

The irony of Deep Marvin’s childhood is that he did less partying when young. I presume he did not realize that he would one day be the reason of several parties in KZN. He draws his inspiration from his friends and from the passion he has for the music.

The beginning of the new millennium aroused Deep Marvin’s curiosity of becoming a dj but the move was held back until 2007 when he took the craft seriously. Deep Marvin didn’t hesitate to mention the Deeper Shades of House renowned dj/producer Lars Behrenroth as someone he would love to share the stage with.

In 2012 Deep Marvin started a podcast Pleasures of Intimacy where he shares some of the music he likes and also includes mixtapes from djs all over the globe. Not only is it a deep house podcast but it serves as a foundation of a deep movement he wishes to see succeed one day. With only a year the podcast has hosted some of the great names that includes Jesus Gonsev, Jazzman, DJ Russell, Shelli Diego.

His passion for the music has seen him share the decks with some of the legends in the deep scene, the likes of Vinny Da Vinci, Tim White, QB Smith, Dubbyman… just to name a few. With the way things are going this is the beginning of great things for him as well as from him.

Deep Marvin has been fortunate enough to be made one of the resident deejays for the Strictly Deep Sessions at Uber Zulu (Florida Road). This initiative aims to accommodate the mature crowd who enjoy listening to more chilled music with a good beat and some jazzy elements in it.

BIO:

Stage name is Dj Mdeva, born as David Mncedisi Mkwanazi. Grew up in Embalenhle, mostly refereed to as Secunda, a small township in Mpumalanga.

Was introduced to House music in the late 1990s while in tertiary studying towards my National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at the then Pretoria Technikon, now it is called TUT.

We used to listen to Glen Lewis's Benson & Hedges radio show on Radio Metro every Saturday between 11:00 and 13:00.
Pretoria being one of the towns which was famous for embracing house music, club life was amazing.

We used to attend clubs like Ellesse, The cave, Canalita, etc

My love for house music led to the birth of Dj Mdeva way back in 2004. Self thought how to play with Vynils. Been playing in varies locations in SA and has shared stage with all SA main house music artists.
Attended South African music conference in 2007 and also traveled abroad for the Winter Miami music conference in 2011 and 2013.

I'm a co-founder of the biggest Deep house event in Mpumalanga, Mafia Party. Started the event as my birthday party in 2011, this year will be our 9th year.
We're privilege to work with uncle Vinny da Vinci on this annual event.

Main influences in the industry includes Christos, Vinny, Glen Lewis and the late Dj Monde.
I'm a big fan of Monique Bingham as well as Kenny Bobien. The current sound I'm playing has no boundries, I go with what I feel within the deep house genre.
Currently I'm working on promoting my podcast, La Cosa Nostra grooves, with the aim to spread my taste of music.

Being dedicated to electronic music for over 14years now and since then playing in different spots, music has always played a very important role in Konstantin’s life.

His preferred musical styles range between deep-, disco- and soulful house, but he is always open to other influences and styles and interested in almost any kind of music.

While playing it is especially important to him, to let his current moods and imaginations flow into his sets and share these moments with others.

Music has ever since been his greatest passion and next to catching the atmosphere of the location he is playing at, he permanently tries to combine his own style with various influences. Being flexible and being inspired by different situations or styles of music and not being bound to any rigid principles is very important to him in order to rediscover and appreciate the special feeling of house music every single time again.

In Berlin next to gigs in several other clubs and bars - Konstantin currently plays on a regular basis at different spots, like “Süss War Gestern” & “Zu Mir Oder Zu Dir”. Also “Sisyphos” is a spot where he can be heard.

His most exciting musical experiences so far were his three South Africa Tours in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 where he played together with a friend at many different locations in and around Johannesburg and East London and met a lot of great people, who shared his love for house music and made each trip an unforgettable journey.

Platzdasch, Hailing from Krefeld, Germany producer (David) Platzdasch began his musical history in 1996 with a release of the project Silk City on More Records and continued with several solo releases under his alias David Martin on Honolulu United, Draft Recordings and Nightclubbing Music.

With the History EP on Blaou Sounds in 1999 he appeared the first time under his alias Platzdasch.

In 2000 he founded the project Soul Glow together with the pianist/keyboardist Thomas Staats. Their work culminated in the release of the album We Come Along on Draft Recordings in 2003.

After some years of a break in 2014 he got back into the game and had several releases since then, for example on Masterworks Music and Gents & Dandy’s Records.

In 2016 he met the pianist/keyboardist Holger Dix and they decided to make music together and founded Platzdasch & Dix. In the beginning of 2017 their first joint production was released on Deep Inspiration Show Records followed by releases on Peppermint Jam Records, Gents & Dandy's Records and Stellar Disco Records.

Euge Deeply Rooted grew up in the East of Johannesburg, South Africa. Enthusiastic about deep house music since mid 90s, influenced by compilations from Masters at work,Vinny and Iggy Smalls. His aspiration of becoming a dj started to get real when he graduated from the School of Excellence in 2008.

He started collecting full length tracks for him to learn how to fuse two tracks digitally in 2010. He was then introduced to mixtapes by a dj friend Gmza back in 2014 for exposure and this is when the Sense of Life podcast came to life.

His first episode attracted an audience from various places around South Africa and that got him his first gig outside Gauteng traveling to Mafikeng in the North West. While he was there, another gig confirmation to play in Bloemfontein came his way. Interesting enough, this gig was his breakthrough gig which has led him to spin the decks in other parts of the country like Harrismith, Qwaqwa, Pretoria, Limpopo, Richards Bay, Soweto, North of Joburg etc.

Euge has also had his own tour in collaboration with another deep house dj, Deep Marvin. In 2016, the POI and Deeply Rooted tour brought the likes of London based duo Sahin Meyer, headlining at House 22 in Pretoria. Passionate about what he does, Euge attended the annual Bridges for Music Conference and his highlight for 2017 was playing at the Bridges for Music after party at Larocha in Kayelitsha.

Upon his return from Cape Town, he realised that instead of just recording mixes alone, he decided to collaborate with his old friends who are also in the same field. They came up with a concept called The Hiive, which is one of the fastest growing media companies in the industry given the fact that they’ve only been operating for less than a year. Through videography content of his live sets which are still in the company archives, Euge aims to be global according to the company’s standards and its vision. Exotic is a duo of producers namely Kgopotso Shongwe and Mxovadj, two guys who grew up together, deeply in love with house music from an early age. Mostly inspired by deep house, soulful house, funk/disco and electronic music. They decided to work together since they are both inspired by the same sound. Exotic was formed mid-2007 when they saw a gap in the industry of making music, they started with deejayng at Parties, weddings and events. Their inspiration came from both local and international dj’s.

In 2009 they decided to move to music production and have managed to work with a few artists namely (Vocal Flame, Thabile Buthelezi and Tumi Wayward). In 2014 they released their first EP called ‘’Rooted in me’’ which was appreciated by a lot of people.

In 2015 they worked on mix tapes called ‘’future collections’’ which had 7 episodes and they managed to play live sets in different venues and giving people that different sound and vibe. In 2017 they signed with The Hiive Media and have been busy with a couple of project.
