God can give you direction in multiple ways. One of them is when the provision ends. The brook dried up for Elijah, and the manna ceased being provided for the children of Israel. We've got to learn when to persist and when to pivot.

Erwin McManus said, "The church must be grounded in a proper theology of change, not simply to address the radically changing world in which we live, but to advanced the cause of Christ in a world that cannot produce the real change that has to take place." When we learn that change is a permanent part of life and then embrace it, we will start on the journey to the true heart of God. He is an unchanging God who changes everything.

Four years ago I was introduced to a man that has changed the trajectory of my life. Honestly, at first, I couldn't stand the guy. I perceived him as arrogant and a know-it-all. When that was the farthest thing from the truth. God worked me over and told me to ask him for forgiveness. Ever since I humbled myself and asked Brandon to forgive me for my attitude about him, God has knit us and our wives together. He is much younger than me but he has been instrumental in mentoring us in the faith journey that Sharon and I are on. He and LaDonna have become some our dearest friends. I shutter to think were I would be right now if I hadn't been willing to reconcile.
Brandon and LaDonna have a phenomenal ministry to children, Captain Rex International, that takes them around the globe "Changing the World One Life at a Time."
I caught up with him at the Sherwood Forest Faire Renaissance Festival where they perform a kid's show. Plus, at their own expense, they feed and minister to all of the cast and crew of the festival.

Something I have come to understand is in order to have faith in God, we must establish who He is to us. Hebrews 11:6 says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God. But those that come to Him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him." I don't think this means we must just believe He exists, but we must believe He is what we need in our lives at the time. Then we pursue Him with that understanding in our heart.
