A skeptical podcast on religious topics. Special attention is given to the LDS Church from show hosts with backgrounds in the religion. Both informative and fun. Not for the easily offended!
After a long break, we are back! We are joined by Keri, a former Methodist. She shares her experience growing up and her eventual breaking away from the church. Plenty of truth and laughs for all!
In this episode we discuss the supposed historical inaccuracies of the Book of Mormon. The existence of things like horses and metallurgy in Mesoamerica are prevalent in the Book of Mormon, however there is little to no evidence of these existing on the continent. We briefly bring up the apologists' rebuttals to these issues and share our own experiences in dealing with them.
In this episode we wrap up the introductions of the hosts of The Glass Looker. We talk with Logan about his upbringing in Utah and the LDS church, his LDS missionary "experience", and difficulties of expressing religious doubt to your family and those around you. We also find out why Alisa needs batteries, we will find out if Clint has still decided to be gay or not, and much much more. Join in the fun!
In today's podcast we explain the origin of our name "The Glass Looker". We talk about about Joseph Smith's time spent as a glass looker, a "money digger", some run ins with the law, and much much more!
In this episode we meet our friend Clint. He talks about his experience growing up in a small town, being Mormon, and being gay.
The first episode is all about one of our hosts, Alisa! She shares a lot about herself including her upbringing in rural central Utah, her upbringing as a Mormon, and the story of her deconversion from the religion.
