In 2016, Creative Review voted George Lee as one of the top 50 Creative Leaders globally, alongside Jude Kelly, Björk, and Paul Smith. She co-founded the pioneering social enterprise, The Age of No Retirement, championing a society where age doesn't define people. Before that, she was Director of the multi-award-winning design studio, This is Real Art.
She is a highly respected disrupter and innovator in the age space, leading the way in showing how cross-generational innovation is central to social and economic impact. Her background and deep interest in psychology still inspire her work, but it is her belief in the power of design— making things work better for more people of all ages — that is her driver. With a design career spanning over 25 years, she has been responsible for multi-award-winning design campaigns worldwide.
In 2020 she set up a specialist design research consultancy, The Common Land, to help businesses understand the outdated and economically limiting conventions of age and innovate products and services that work for all ages. She has recently joined the Design Age Institute, part of the Royal College of Art, as Community Lead bringing together healthy aging champions from all sectors to create real change and action — business, industry, academia, technology, the creative industries, government, and of course people of all ages.
She is on the BSI working group looking into age-inclusive standards, the ISO working group on intergenerational workforces, and a Trustee of the Do It Foundation, a social enterprise whose technology helps people do good and feel healthier happier.

Learning is critical to human existence. As water and food nourish our bodies, so too do information and knowledge fuel our minds. Everyone is capable of learning—anyone and everyone—is influencing a person’s learning journey. People have different learning styles and preferences, which take on various forms instead of fitting into one specific pattern. It is essential to be aware and adaptive within the learning process to minimize exclusion and optimize for the best learning experience and outcome.
Many people who evolved into creative pioneers did so off their backs, not because their education system enabled them along that journey. It discouraged and ignored their difference and potential. Creativity is the core of humanity. Breaking rules is what creativity involves, and the rebellious nature of the mind is a catalyst to create. That does not mean breaking the law; it means questioning the status quo and treating what you do as a blank canvas to self-express and provide an alternative.
Roy Sharples and Gary Burt discuss their manifesto for educators to drive a learning without frontiers sensibility and approach for instilling creativity and innovation within what they teach and how.

A dreamer, maker, doer, and lifelong musical journeyman - driven by an insatiable intellectual curiosity, passion, and a thirst for experiential creative pursuits, expanding into disparate topics, experimentation, tinkering, and deepening his subject-matter expertise across time and space.
Iain Mutch provides perspective on his music-making process, the Glasgow music scene, how he dreams up and expedites ideas and finds endless joy during the ups and downs of the process of creation – where he's applied various techniques inspired by Dada, William Burroughs and David Bowie where he composes work by carving up the pages as part of his creative process by taking a finished and fully linear text and cutting it in pieces with a few or single words on each piece. Then rearranging the resulting pieces into a new text.

“I look for a voice and I'm looking for a story. That story might be a very bare bones just kind of a narrative arc, a vague shape or it might be something that feels more like a story. You have to keep your ego in check because you've got to be able to throw things away that you may think are great.”

Social media entrepreneur Csaba Dancshazy’s approach is based on validation, convincing someone else of something valid. To do so, he follows a process. He says, “How do I prove that this has any kind of bearing on the real world? How do I know that this truly does, in fact, represent what I think it represents? And so, now comes in yet another cycle of trial and error. If you're going to try something creative, anything creative, you're going to be inevitably going to places that you may not have expected. Being willing to go down that path as a part of the process is quite important. I obviously would never have gotten here, had I sort of kept banging my head against the wall in the direction that I originally started in. So being adaptive and being willing to adjust is definitely crucial.”
From Budapest to Harvard, Csaba Dancshazy blazed the trail to make sense of social media by building a social media analytic platform and practice at Microsoft, online consumer behavior at Wayfair, to founding D-Tag Consulting that provide expertise, analytics, training and custom consulting solutions that empower companies to build out and expand their ROI from social media analytics.
