When you think about professional development, sometimes you need to look in the mirror and consider you… your business… your organization’s current and long-term value in the marketplace. Are your services… products needed, and growing… or fading and sliding toward that “obsolete” category?!
This Building Indispensability podcast is meant to encourage everyone to self-check their value in the workplace and customer needs arena. This assessment should be a. natural business/organization/personal exercise to ensure appropriate changes and progress actions are taken to continually place your group in that “you can’t be successful without me” category!

This Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is all about doing a honest assessment of the positive - progressive - future-minded messages you and your organization convey to everyone… everyday. Think about all of the different ways we communicate today and then consider the confident quality of each message delivered by your company. This self assessment action would not be easy… nor just a one-time activity. It must be an ongoing continuous improvement “habit”!
As I have done in the past… I have tried to share potential hours of discussion issues into just 10 minutes. Hopefully this Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast helps everyone better prioritize in this critical communication area.

This month my Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS are totally... completely and happily all devoted to INNOVATION. It is a professional development area I have prioritized my entire career.
Specifically, the podcast discusses the importance of actions required when Retaining a "SPIRIT" of Innovation in your everyday lifestyle. The suggested actions are not totally new or unique… however they require regular attention to make INNOVATION a true "way-of-life"!
Enjoy the listen.
As I have mentioned a number of times… I never really know where an inspiration for a LEARNING MOMENTS podcast may come from. But this month, I hope you can tell Homework-FOREVER was driven by the students in every one of my college classes!
Hopefully when they/you listen to this fun and important life-long applicable message… everyone will understand my Homework- FOREVER “position". And take note that I recommended a second-listen during my special podcast “DISCUSSIONIST” time. My hope is that you will take steps to truly personalize the podcast’s individual growth value.
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is all about progressively dealing with Unhealthy Professional Competition. As the title suggests, motivation and encouragement brought on by competition in the workplace may bring about good results… however, there are often “unhealthy” outcomes too.
Decline in creativity, reduction in production, and less project collaboration are all examples of Unhealthy Professional Competition outcomes. They may occur in a subtle fashion or be hidden behind/within other regular organizational functions.
I tried to do my best to cover this topic in a concise way… but addressing Unhealthy Professional Competition requires more than a few minutes.

This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is driven by the proclamation: “You can change jobs during your career… but you can’t change what makes you SPECIAL!”
Innovation and entrepreneurship in the public sector have always been a priority in all that I have worked on. So somehow it only seemed appropriate and timely that I discuss my Learn – Grow + Earn Tour concept as this month’s podcast topic. It has traditionally been fun to adopt a very effective private sector promotional idea and apply it to a public sector service area. The result has GREAT useful potential!
Yes, I may sound rushed in my LEARNING MOMENTS “delivery”. I guess it is just my creative energy wanting to share and explain the whole non-traditional concept.
Enjoy the listen.
As we all consider options and opportunities for moving ourselves forward both personally and professionally… does Positioning for Innovation, rank high on your strategy list?
Well this month’s Inspiring Innovations, LEARNING MOMENTS podcast first talks through the high value of building/operating a culture of innovation in every area of your daily life. The major goal of this month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is to more creatively and purposefully harness the potential of Cooperative Diversity!
Too often, as we work with people… we overlook the LEADERSHIP… INNOVATION… COMMUNICATION and PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT learnings that exist in a cooperating diversified group. Effectively nurturing the unique input and likewise managing the progressive outputs of co-workers, colleagues, Board members, and friends as part of standard company/organization operating procedures… can truly build unlimited growth value going forward.
Plan to listen to this special podcast more than once. I believe there are multiple LEARNING MOMENTS.
As we begin our Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS line-up of podcast topics for the new year… I thought I would begin with an issue that has “flustered” me for a long time. Specifically I am referring to those who in my career have claimed: “I am NOT Innovative!”
I think you will find this podcast a little entertaining… but also very suggestive that EVERYONE has a little creativity inside them. And although some ignore it… some hide it… and some only selectively use creativity… INNOVATION can and should be a more standard part of life and every job.
I hope you enjoy the listen!
Well as we finish 2024, this Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is a targeted message toward bettering Board/Council/Committee advancement. This month’s podcast: Who Owns The BIG Picture? … is almost a strong personnel policy directive! Too often in many businesses or organizations employees within them seem to be “once removed” from owning and standardly sharing a common message about what their business/organization stands for!
I believe it is crucial for all employees… Board members… business owners… to make sure everyone knows Who Owns The BIG Picture… BECAUSE THEY ALL DO!! There is little doubt in my mind that if everyone regularly carries forward the “CAUSE” that they stand for… progress, and profit will follow.
Enjoy the listen!
This month’s Inspiring Innovations, LEARNING MOMENTS September 2024 podcast is important/special to me in so many ways! First, I have always believed and preached that everyone that I worked with should be confident and prepared to make a good presentation on their work “stuff” anytime.
Next, as I transitioned more in to the consultant world-of-work, I tried very hard to be the very best-in-the-business when doing a workshop, teaching a class, or making a presentation.
The “Presentation… Who Me?” podcast contains a number of suggestions on preparing for and delivering a GREAT presentation whenever asked. So maybe take notes?!
Enjoy the listen.
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast was a “long-time-in-the-making”! No, I don’t mean it took me a long time to record it… rather it took me a while to organize the message in a calm… but strong way. And because I have prioritized being progressively Organized for Tomorrow my whole life/career… I didn’t want to underestimate the energy it takes to be successful in this area.
Please be advised that I have expanded my allotted podcast time to 10 minutes. And unexpectedly… I believe the extra time for discussion I allowed myself has resulted in a much more clear and understandable LEARNING MOMENT.
Enjoy the listen.
Too often traditional… “We have always done it this way” operational practices stand in the way of progressive process upgrades in the workplace. You know what I mean. The “if it’s not broken… why do we need to fix or change anything” leadership/management standardized approach to change… RIGHT?!
Well this month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast: Organization & Business Responsibility SHIFTS! is simply about realigning traditional operational activities to obtain greater employee workplace ownership and more diverse leadership opportunities. Keep in mind because of my self-imposed podcast time limits only two basic examples are discussed. However, the hope is to open doors in every workplace regarding the short- and long-term benefits of engaging new Organization & Business Responsibility SHIFTS!
Enjoy the listen.
At no time in my career did anyone set me down nor did I participate in a special workshop/training on facilitating QUALITY NEGOTIATION. Whether it is appropriately AGENDA SHARING in our transparent times… or strategically building Meeting Preparation OWNERSHIP… improving in these areas is just progress necessary.
Finally, although TIME MANAGEMENT is necessary, and even critical in our over-informational world... prioritizing it in every Meeting Preparation moment is solid common sense.

The Cambridge English Dictionary defines Global Citizenship as follows:
“The idea that you should show loyalty and support for the world as a whole as much as for the particular country in which you live.”
Whether it’s the steady advances of technological information-sharing… or the increasing number of global, world-wide impacting issues; the need for everyone to realize their Global Citizenship status is a growing priority.
In the podcast you will hear me state that Global Citizenship is NOT part of my standard LEARNING MOMENTS discussion-ist topic areas. However when you listen closely to my rationalization for this podcast message… I hope you too understand it’s all citizens value.
Enjoy the listen.
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast topic: “As Much Advice As Possible”… seems to carry a common sense, natural decision-making recommendation action. However, if people take a quick assessment of the steps they take to make a decision on a major issue, their resulting process may not be as “natural” as we would think.
President John F. Kennedy has helped me form this month's podcast message. Based on the information contained in a book entitled “Undelivered”, I was able to glean a great assembly of rationales for obtaining “As Much Advice As Possible” to make every decision one makes as good as it can be!

Seriously, this Creating Your Brand podcast highlights the importance of establishing a meaningful, strong professional status inside and outside your workplace. Consider the questions raised in the discussion and take on this very special challenge.

Have you ever considered the short and long-term value of "Take Aways" from training sessions, personnel meetings, performance reviews and/or person-to-person agency status discussions? Could you pass a "Take Aways" Test on any of these professional activities and accurately recall the most important LEARNING MOMENTS resulting from each?
This month we are going to use our Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast discussion time to focus on the critical need to record professional impact points as a regular growth activity. Recognition of the Robotics Minimums & Dissenters existence and impacts is a solid first step in successfully dealing with them. However creating a strategic plan of reactions to these personnel challenges is the key.

This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast takes on a more serious special topic area: Managing Life & Work Expectations. I believe it is important and necessary to periodically review your Expectations in these areas and consider new priorities and appropriate changes that may be timely.
Nothing is or stays the same in our world today. As a result, Managing Life & Work Expectations as they relate to other people, organizations and/or businesses can only improve your positioning for the future.
Once again the podcast contains a number of important discussion points… so listen completely.
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast borrows from the movie Field of Dreams with its style of messaging: “Build It & He Will Come” to introduce a valuable innovation start-up strategy.

This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast gives my Mother a special voice in providing a unique professional growth message. The “setting” for the MOMENT is classic… and the LEARNING is simple but too often overlooked.
And I am sure you are wondering about the title: “Where are we going… you will know when we get there!” and how it fits as a label for this month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast?
Well listen closely and you will find out!
The action of Empowerment… “giving” someone/ some group authority or legal power to do something on your behalf” … is a strong professional personnel decision for anyone at all levels. This definition sounds similar to simple delegation… but it is not.
This months Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast: The EXTRA Factors of Empowerment, goes behind the delegation actions and discusses the much needed EXTRA Factors that are key to a successful Empowerment assignment. Although it is understood that no two Empowerment endeavors are the same… I believe there are at least three Factors to consider when initiating Empowerment action.

Innovation Leadership… in my world it is a regular, solid, necessary blended principle in every career and business building initiative. There is less and less room for “that is the way we have always done it” thoughts and action. And the world seems more than ready to seek out something new and special.
This month’s The “First 5” Innovation LEADERSHIP Principles are a group of unique reflections of conversations I had with colleagues regarding our common “always-a-better-way” philosophy.
I tried to fit a lot in a few minutes! I hope you enjoy the listen.
I believe it is important to start our new year 2023 out right by offering a message related to one of our principal topic areas: LEADERSHIP. If you look at the title: Everything-to-Everyone Leadership, you get the introduction idea of the challenge I am going to address. And like many LEARNING MOMENTS we discuss, there are no perfect answers to this expectation dilemma.
However as you listen closely to the podcast, I try to offer at least a workable idea to improve every Everything-to-Everyone Leadership event.
Enjoy the listen.
It is the final podcast for 2022! And although we have discussed fun, important, thought-generating topics every month… this month is totally special!
Why?
This is the first time I have had a guest/guests on the podcast with me. One of my American Government & Politics classes were very persistent with their request to be part of a podcast discussion… and this month, they “got-their-way.” Although brief, I know their input on our Fine Tuning Your Listening Channels topic was right on track.
I hope you enjoy the listen and we will talk next in 2023.
This months Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast title speaks for itself and needs no additional explanation. The habit of “Questioning Your Decision-Making” isn’t new, but I believe in recent times it has become a more dehabilitating habit for those in a leadership role.
I am assuming everyone will be able to relate to the discussion points raised in this critical podcast. And I also hope that everyone will think strongly about my recommendation for improvement in the “Questioning Your Decision-Making” area.
Enjoy the listen and we will take on another topic next month.
It is difficult to devise a way to slow down the speed and volume of information that is shared with us every minute of every day. The result is a growing lack of comprehension of the Who - What - When - Where and Why’s of actions and events going on all around us.
Hence we need to think about our capacity of: Understanding - Understandability!
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast first discusses the reasons we are facing an Understanding - Understandability dilemma. And in the final minutes of the podcast, I try to offer a few recommendations to ease this dilemma.
I hope you enjoy the listen.
This month I chose a more serious topic for the Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast: Seasons of Change. Work families are a very important element in building and retaining a great workforce culture. And when someone leaves… for whatever reason… there are good and not-so-good ways of dealing with this transitional action.
There are no easy, standardized methods of working through Seasons of Change. The suggestions I offer are intended to be helpful, but every situation is different. Use LEADERSHIP – COMMUNICATIONS –PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – INNOVATION as your guiding principles, and whats best for everyone will be the result.
Enjoy the listen.
We have all heard the phrase, “There are always at least two sides to every story.”
Well not only is the “two-sides” part of this phrase very true… but this month's Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast will talk about the importance of Seeing ALL Sides of an issue.
Professionally working to improve your Seeing ALL Sides skills and learning how to strategically apply this critical high value ability are all part of the discussion. Perfecting Seeing ALL Sides is not possible, but I believe we all can improve our efforts.
Enjoy the listen.
It is always wonderful to get a request from a TRIPLE III TIME Blog reader or Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast listener. Well this month’s podcast Reaching Back… To Grow Forward is really a combination of both.
Back in December 2016, I penned a TRIPLE III TIME Blog message that included a TOP 10 list of ideas that asked everyone to look back in their pasts… gather up all the “bests”… and strategically utilize them for their future. The requester asked me to offer a special podcast that provided a “live” discussion of each TOP 10 item.
Well listen closely and plan to spend a few more minutes hearing the extended message. It was fun, and in a way the TOP 10 feels timeless.
Do you have a quality style of sharing, giving Praise to someone? Or do you offer Praise in a very routine, standardized fashion that ends up not really conveying the appreciation you were really hoping for?
The “Speaking of Praise” Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast is proposed to help everyone give the responsibility of Praise delivery all the special attention it deserves. As always, I try to explain a lot in my five (or so) minute talk… but I hope the suggestions I offer can make a positive difference.

Every organization/business is always in search of new and different ways to motivate their employees and often even the customers they serve. Enjoy the listening.
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast topic is what some people would call “a flash from the past”! Going back and discussing an IDEAS Guidebook I had prepared for group several years ago was not at all my planned LEARNING MOMENTS topic for April. However when a group of current American Government & Politics students cornered me and asked if I would review it for them… suddenly its purpose and meaning became real important again.
I believe you will completely understand the title: Remembering “IDEAS” … For Motivation as you listen to the podcast. And I can truthfully report that the class listened, cared, and were motivated by our IDEAS Guidebook revisit. I hope you are too.
Sometimes in my LEARNING MOMENTS podcasts or my TRIPLE III TIME blog messages I promote the need to “take your job personally.” And by doing so I am hoping you make your employment experiences all that they can be and possibly more.
This month's Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast topic “Are You A Student Of Your Business… Your Job?” … is all about heightening your PERSONAL interest and commitment to being professionally successful. During the podcast I offer a series of self-evaluation questions that should help enhance your “Student” efforts and perhaps become The Greatest Of All Time!
Enjoy the message.
I think we have all thought about having someone you trust, admire, appreciate provide you with some professional coaching when dealing with a personal or work-related challenge. Today society would probably label that as having a “Life Coach.”
But this month our Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast takes an inclusive view of this advising responsibly by discussing both Getting & Giving Professional Coaching. Specifically, the LEARNING MOMENTS shared calls on everyone to realize that Coaching is infused into everyone’s personal and professional lives. As a result, whether top-down / side-to-side / or bottom-up Coaching is high value. Even to the point of making it a part of your organizational personnel policies.

The importance of EVERYONE assuming the role of leader in their place of work no matter their job… has been part of many LEARNING MOMENTS discussions. This month’s topic: Infused Leadership, is a special initiative action to be adopted by organizational leaders to build the leadership capabilities of every worker.
Infused Leadership can best be explained through the use of real-life examples. So I hope as you listen deeply to the three examples shared in this month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast, you will be ready to introduce Infused Leadership activities into your workplace too.
More and more in all sectors of employment, “specialists” are talking about the importance of a solid workplace culture? What is it? How do you develop it? And what/who is responsible for maintaining it?
This months Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast, “What Do You Mean: CULTURE?”, attempts to answer some of these questions. And yes, five minutes does not seem like enough time to respond to even one.
But listen closely and let me know what you think?
Sometimes in your career-building journey, you try out different actions and attempt to determine the best ways(s) forward. You never know for sure if certain activities are the best… if the timing is right… and/or if your initiative for development even makes good progress sense?

Prioritize NOW Planning
There has not been a time when quality planning for any organization or business has been more critical. Call it strategic planning or figuring out what we are going to do over the next year or so… getting a progressive plan together for the future is a must!
This Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS podcast offers my version of new era planning I label: Prioritize NOW Planning. It emphasizes the frequency of change… its impact on action based on solid, timely planning… and of course the need to allow space for innovation.
“COMPETENCY”… how do you define it… how do you measure it… and how can you prove you have it in a certain area?
COMPETENCY is a vital concern for every business/organization… everywhere. Having a competent, quality workforce is a mission pursued by many and often a challenge to achieve.
This month’s Inspiring Innovations LEARNING MOMENTS Podcast attempts to offer some professional development thoughts about COMPETENCY and how personal responsibility is a Key.
So many times I have started a LEARNING MOMENTS message about the Bending… But Not Breaking The Rules topic. However I have never felt professionally correct or confident on framing the podcast in a way that was appropriately progressive.

LEARNING MOMENT Podcast: Prioritizing MORALE!
In today’s confusing/challenging world-of-work, setting the best priorities is critical. I believe prioritizing MORALE (the state of a person’s or group’s spirits and confidence) is leadership responsibility #1! It is important not to assume positive MORALE generation will happen naturally. No… personal/staff MORALE needs to be recognized, nurtured, and progressively built everyday… EVERYDAY!
I hope my suggestions help.
