Even the most confident among us can be deeply hurt by fat shaming. Intentional or not, overt or covert, no one wants to experience it. After a recent conversation with our friend Rosie about her distressing encounter with fat shaming on a plane, we found ourselves asking: Why does this still happen? Why is "fat" used as an insult? And why do some people think it's okay to say that? In this re-released episode, we’re diving into the roots of fat phobia, exploring size stereotypes, and discussing why "fat" remains a weaponized term. We reflect on our personal fat-shaming experiences, how they’ve impacted our confidence, what we’ve learned, how to handle such situations, and ultimately, how to rise above these negative comments. In today’s solo episode, we are chatting about embracing the cringe and not letting people’s opinions get in the way! Raeann posted about her butt acne issues and her community came through with helpful advice, the girlies understand. Also soon to be on Patreon, Kristina drops that she’s having sleep coach, Steph Fischer, guest star to give advice to us parents who need a little help getting our little ones to sleep. In pop culture news, we dissect our favorite rom-coms and swoon over Tom Brady in his latest feature on The Roast. Okay, let’s get into why being a little cringe is not a bad thing! Our opinion is that to be successful you must do things that are considered cringe-worthy, especially when you’re just starting out. Once we get rid of this limiting belief and stop caring about other people’s opinions, we can truly start being our most successful, badass selves. Today’s Ask Away is a good one, but first a little life recap! Raeann may have came back from her Mexico vacation paler than when she got there, but her relationship with Gabe has grown stronger. Raeann and Kristina share how they feel like they are glowing down, but apparently it’s a normal feeling in your early 30s so love that for us. Speaking of aging, Kristina got a 3D mirror image of her face and left with Botox recommendations and how to fix her tech neck. Also, Kristina drops that she is Taylor Swift’s muse?! One of her songs mentions an interview Kristina had with Travis Kelce and the Swifites are obsessed to say the least. Meanwhile, Raeann is fixated on the common theme that men never ask questions on dates and are just terrible conversationalists; the reason why is up for debate. On today’s Ask Away, we give advice that will hopefully help you navigate your life dilemmas. Dating a short king can be an insecurity for some, but just own it! Rock the high heels and don’t be self-conscious about it. We also give our hot takes on how to get comfortable with flirting out in the wild. If you leave the RBF behind and give them a compliment about how much you love their shoes, you’ll be just fine. We share our thoughts on how to handle being friend-zoned and the best way to ask your friend to pay you back. You got this ladies, just be yourself and be confident! Today we sit down with Chelsea Blackwell to unveil what really went down during her time on Love is Blind, the Megan Fox debacle, and her dating life post Jimmy. Chelsea thought she didn’t say or do anything too crazy on the show that would bring unwanted attention, but little did she know that she would soon be roasted by America for saying Megan Fox is her celebrity doppelgänger. As she navigates this new life in the spotlight, she is handling the scrutiny with humor and grace while embracing exciting new opportunities with confidence. Chelsea gives her raw thoughts on the Love is Blind experiment, if she would do it again, and what really happens during a normal day in the pods. She opens up about her toxic relationship with Jimmy and the unexpected rollercoaster of emotions. As she reenters the dating scene, she is excited to see what happens and may even slide into some celebrity DMs. From being a jet-setting flight attendant to being a verified reality star, the world is truly your oyster and we cannot wait to see what’s next for you, Chelsea! In other news, Raeann fills us in on her first vacation with Gabe! Other than Raeann ditching Gabe for TSA pre-check, it went swimmingly! Kristina and Raeann real talk about the dreaded bathroom sitch when traveling with your significant other. Are you a lobby bathroom or embrace the awkwardness type of person? Also, Raeann is still on the apartment hunt, apparently finding a place in NYC for under 10k/month is not an easy feat. And Kristina raves about her friend’s new movie, Musica, on Amazon. This is an episode you won’t want to miss, and if you haven’t seen Chelsea’s season of Love is Blind, we highlyyy recommend for a great binge-watch! In today’s solo episode, we talk about growing up as the bigger friend and the universal experiences we went through as a result. But before we dive in, we have to fill you in on a few things. Big steps were taken as Gabe met Raeann’s parents for the first time! There might have been a little chaotic family energy but we realized every family has a little crazy in them. Speaking of, how often do you talk to your parents?? Kristina’s trip to elusive Sarasota finally left the group chat. We also chat about the financial pressure of over-the-top bachelorette parties and similarly, the slippery slope over birthday dinners when the check comes. And of course, in pop culture news, Nick Viall’s reality recap podcast enlightens us with a male perspective about constantly critiquing your partner and the debate over proactive couple’s therapy. If you’ve ever felt the anxiety that comes with writing down your extra-large t-shirt size in a room full of size smalls, this is for you. Being the big girl in the friend group or growing up as the bigger girl, we have had to endure many experiences that take a hit to our self-esteem. The defeating experience of prom dress shopping, not being able to share clothes with friends, and the feeling that no boys like you, were just some of the fun things we had to go through as the bigger friend. Raeann and Kristina also open up about how their families affected their body confidence, both the good and the bad. As we work through our past traumas, we learn to change our mindset and how we should talk to ourselves. This change in mindset was largely due to the body-positive movement in the media and seeing others embrace self-love at any size. Hype yourself up and fake it till you make it because you ARE hot! We are thrilled to sit down with the inspiring plus-size content creator, Emma Arletta. She is the face behind the ‘Big Girls’ movement, is a prominent voice in the body confidence community, and is known to give great advice about dating as a plus-size woman. Emma delves into the dynamics of growing up with a thin mom and how her journey for self-love and confidence grew into what it is today. Finding confidence within yourself can be challenging, but it is so important to look within yourself to find what brings you fulfillment and joy outside of your looks. Emma talks about her transition from being a full-time Speech Therapist to a full-time content creator. She gives advice about personal branding and how to use your unfiltered voice to grow on social media. We also hear about her merch launch that sold out (!!) and how she is about to take the modeling world by storm! Emma opens up and offers refreshing advice on self-acceptance, relationships, and pursuing your dreams regardless of societal norms. Speaking of relationships, Raeann and her boyfriend hard launched on social media and it accidentally went viral! If you’re curious about how they met, head over to Patreon for a full Q&A. Both Raeann and Kristina chat about how they want their partners to become influencers, like who doesn’t want more content of Steve?! Speaking of, Steve and his “Fyre Festival of easter egg hunts” comments definitely would’ve been a hit. This week’s obsessed with items revolve around pop culture, from JoJo Siwa’s cringe-worthy rebrand to The Valley and Kristina’s hatred of Jesse on the show. This episode featuring Emma Arleta offers incredible insights that we're obsessed with, and we hope you will be too! New podcast episodes of Confident Collective drop every Tuesday.

Well, first things first. Raeann is filling us in on her and her boyfriend and expressing how she can be her weird self around him (insert Olive Garden metaphor here). Kristina chats about her stunning New Jersey home and how it got chosen for an insane remodel opportunity via an interior design magazine. In this episode, we also chat about the control social media has over us, the power of meditation and great therapists, and the shocking revelations about Jay Shetty. In today’s Ask Away episode, Raeann and Kristina are dishing their thoughts and hard truths as they answer your questions. We tackle the complexities of being single, from how to navigate and embrace your single era to overcoming comparison and insecurities about your sex life or lack there of. We also drop some tough love which may be hard accept. But girl, cut ties with your ex and book a solo trip to Europe, and if you don’t hear from your boyfriend while they’re out of town, they don’t deserve you, period. Then we switch gears and talk about the anxiety-inducing topic of finances, and while we’re obviously not experts, just being more intentional and not booking bougie $100 lunches is a great place to start. We love connecting with our community and getting to give advice during these Ask Away episodes. See you soon on Patreon or stay tuned for next week’s episode! Today we sit down with Lauren Chan, supermodel, Sports Illustrated rookie, and plus-size fashion designer (yes, she really does it all). Lauren is a prominent voice in the body-positive and self-love community and is truly redefining beauty standards across every avenue she ventures into. In our conversation, Lauren opens up about her trauma-driven pursuit of perfection, her self-discovery as a gay woman, and her inspiring journey post-divorce. We dive into her time as a Sports Illustrated rookie and how it is an incredible experience but it is also eye-opening to realize that every woman gets insulted for their own beauty standards and that there is no “perfect woman” in a man’s world. Lauren shares advice about how dressing for the female-gaze is the best thing you can do for your confidence and that you should curate your social media feeds with uplifting creators that make you feel inspired. From breaking beauty standards to navigating her passions, Lauren’s story shows us the importance of representation and to always stay true to yourself. In other news, Raeann and Kristina launched Confidants yesterday!! Confidants is our new Patreon community that will be full of new solo episodes, first access to live events, a Discord channel, and so much more. We are SO excited for this new extension of The Confident Collective community. In this solo episode, we’re talking all about the craze behind Ozempic and of course, catching up with our girls. Kristina spills the tea about her bougie Aspen brand trip, meanwhile, Raeann had a much-needed low-key week. Kristina and Raeann chat about how drastically different their lives are now as Kristina talks about how special her first mother-son dance (aka rave) was. Raeann opens up about not feeling settled and her current existential crisis that she’s been trying to navigate. As for pop-culture references, we’re watching Summer House, binging The Traitors, and wondering where is Kate Middleton hiding! And we’re taking a poll — should Kristina be on The Real Housewives of New Jersey? We’ve allll heard about it, seen ads for it, or know someone who’s on it. Yes, we’re talking about Ozempic, Wegovy, semaglutide. While some are tempted by its promises of thinness and a lack of food noise, others raise concerns about its long-term effects and the added societal pressure to conform to a narrow beauty ideal. We have made monumental strides forward as a society in the body-positive movement but overnight we’ve taken steps backward. Raeann mentions her fashion collaborations have dropped due to their lack of larger sizes available. A woman’s Roman Empire is their body and weight, so when praising and parading around this ideal that thinness is only a few injections away, this may have a negative effect on people in larger bodies and promote a negative stigma. There are so many sides and things to take into account with these drugs so by no means are we judging you if you are on them. Amidst this weight loss trend, we hope there’s a refocus on what really matters which is feeling and being healthy, nourishing your body, and loving the body you’re in, instead of constantly chasing a thinner body. Kristina and Raeann unveil that they are both thriving in their fitness era — Kristina even signed up for a triathlon!! Raeann confesses her love for buffalo sauce, Kristina shares stories about her nanny, and the girls find agreement on ending friendships if they associate with disrespectful men. We analyze the hottest spring trends from dressy shorts to feminine rosettes. There is a slight departure from the long-time standing clean girl aesthetic, as we are seeing boxer shorts, funky glasses, and cheetah-print pants. Now, Raeann and Kristina are in debate about balloon jeans and mesh shoes, but it might just be all in how you style them. We dive into micro-trends and our current go-to fashion brands. Whatever trends you do or don’t participate in, just remember that cool girls rewear their clothes! Happy styling! New podcast episodes of Confident Collective drop every Tuesday.

We’ve all binged or heard about @ReesaTeesa and her 50-part TikTok series about her pathological liar husband, right? Well, let us introduce you to Raeann’s sister, Tory Langas, who’s about to open up about her 5-year relationship with a man who ended up being a sex addict and narcissist. The red flags started early on in their relationship when he lied about his age (hello, 16-year age gap), but was overlooked because of their love and pull towards one another. But the red flags kept piling up from fighting with family members to going to Vegas with his “ex” to not being able to hold down a job.🚨 His narcissistic tactics kept Tory on her toes to please him which ends in a huge hit to her self-esteem. After his lackluster proposal, enter Tinder girl and Tory’s new therapist. They opened her eyes, shattered the illusions, and made her start to trust her intuition because window shopping on Tinder is NOT okay.🤯 Amid deception and heartbreak, Tory stood up for herself and left the toxic relationship and we are SO happy for her and her new lovely life!!🤍 The takeaway is not to fall in love with the potential of someone and always trust your gut, ladies. On a lighter note, Raeann and Kristina also fill us in on their tropical humid-filled vacations.🌴Raeann vents about her flight chaos and Kristina shares how Steve booked their Miami trip and the hiccups that entailed. Navigating any food conversations with your person or potential partner can be tense and tricky. We each have a very different relationship with food but that doesn’t mean we can’t come to the conversation from a level place and not with a grenade-of-opinion in our hand. That’s why we’re so glad to have Rosie back with us to help answer a listener’s question about this very thing. The best part? We all heard the question a bit differently so you’re really going to get a variety in perspectives today! We also get to hear about Raeann’s trip to Vegas, XS, eye-surgery update and a surprise Diplo show. This may or may not have subsequently led to an urgent care pit-stop on her way out of town to Paris. And don’t worry, we’re getting the details on what may be the perfect hookup, anddd some other possible vacation romances. Meanwhile, Kristina’s having a bit of a time getting settled after her big move and some disappointing school visits, lack-luster ferries, and a not-so-reliable babysitting situation. But she’s trusting the process! So gear up, we’ve got a great ep for you! “Just like you don’t talk about your sex life in bed, don’t talk about your eating habits at the table.” -Raeann Langas What We Talk About: * Kristina has been exploring markets near her new neighborhood … But where’s best? * Rae catches us up on Vegas and Paris * The struggle of reading signs - it’s just not that easy * Rae’s almost regret on the eye surgery * Kristina’s fulling stepping into her interior design era * Answering the question, “How to accept your partner's eating habits and let them make their own food choices?” * That time Steve tried to warn Kristina about the quesadilla * Answering the question, “Is there any room for input and commentary around food in a relationship?”

We’re feeling all sorts of chaotic and while it’s bad for our sanity, it’s good for the podcast! Catch up with us in this episode on how we’re feeling post NYFW. We’re sharing some crazy stories about what we’ve been dealing with behind the scenes, some inspo Kristina got from a recent wellness and entrepreneurship panel, and how it’s been for Raeann to dip her toes back in the dating pond. Then, we’re answering your questions about dealing with boyfriend mama drama, friends flaking on your wedding, not feeling the pressure to “snap back” after having a baby and how to get in the right mindset to find clothes that are comfortable, cute and affordable.
Stop placing value on an arbitrary number like the size of your jeans or like the size of your dress. That literally means nothing because it's so different in every single brand. This fashion week, I wore a size large. I wore a size 2X. I wore a size 12. I wore a size 18. Who the hell cares? It literally means nothing about your self worth. So if you need to go up in size, go up in size. - Kristina Zias

No matter how confident you are, being fat shamed still hurts. Whether it’s intentional or not, overt or covert, no one wants to be fat shamed. It's such a sucky feeling and after talking to our friend Rosie recently about an experience involving fat shaming on a plane, we’re left to wonder, why does this still happen? Why is being called fat such a diss and insult? And why do people think it's okay to say that?
So, today we’re diving into the root of fat phobia, size stereotypes, and why the term 'fat' is still weaponized as an insult. We’re reflecting on the fat shaming experiences that we've had, how they’ve shaped our confidence, what we’ve learned from them, how to handle these situations, and ultimately how to overcome these negative comments. Remember that you don't have to be a certain size to be confident to be happy.
This might be controversial to say, but for so long I have been saying your life isn't going to be perfect if you lose weight, right? But the sad reality is that people do treat you better and a lot of things are better. - Raeann Langas
What We Talk About:
The most insidious thing about fat shaming is that so much of it is done in an undertone way. - Rosie Richardson
Where my confidence comes in is, fuck you guys, I'm successful in the body I am right now, and I think I'm confident because I was able to prove them all wrong. - Kristina Zias

Today we are excited to sit down with our friend, Khaylah Epps, the voice behind the podcast I Might Die Alone. In her podcast, she celebrates women who are defining their lives beyond their relationship status and dives deep into the dichotomy of wanting romantic love, but also not letting that absence consume us.
In this episode we talk to Khaylah about her journey of decentering romance in her life and what that has looked like for her. We talk about her desperate era and experience being on The Bachelor, her ultra independent era, and how she’s landed in her current gray era; finding a good balance between wanting a romantic relationship without letting that desire become the center of her life. Khaylah shares beautiful insight and advice about the difference between being single and being alone, why there shouldn’t be a hierarchy of relationships, and navigating friendships with people in all phases of life.
We're so excited for you to hear this episode and encourage you to check out Khaylah’s podcast, I Might Die Alone, if you enjoy or relate to this conversation!
What I'm challenging is the idea of obsessing over a romantic relationship and saying that it is the most important relationship for you to find in this lifetime. I just disagree with it. I think it's beautiful but I think so many other relationships are beautiful as well, and there should be no hierarchy. - Khaylah Epps
What We Talk About:
Having really intimate romantic friendships is so important. A community of women has brought so much fulfillment to my life in the last three years that I've been single. I would not be able to survive without my girlfriends. - Raeann

When you're fearing judgment, you're worried about what people are thinking of you that literally don't matter in your life. It’s no secret that the patterns and behaviors that were modeled to us in our families growing up influences our confidence. Establishing the who, what, where and why of how we were raised is so important when you're trying to change patterns that are no longer serving you. In this conversation, Raeann, Kristina and Rosie talk about each of their own experiences growing up and the messages they received about confidence and body image. We talk about what helped instill confidence in us, what might be affecting us still today in how we feel about ourselves, and what we want to change for future generations.
We recognize that perfection isn’t the goal, and every generation before did the best they could within the culture they also were raised in. But it’s important to recognize that we have the power to reclaim what confidence looks like for us now. We hope this conversation will show that while we can’t control our past, we can break the cycle and show the next generation what confidence really looks and feels like.
“It's really important to have those dialogues with your families because I know I'm not the only one whose families comment on their bodies and make them feel a certain way. I think that you have to express how you feel, let it go, set your boundaries and then choose to ignore it because how they feel about themselves does not need to be a reflection on how you feel about yourself.” - Kristina

Get ready for a super fun catch up episode where we share what we’ve been excited about lately. We get into our summer travel plans as Kristina prepares for her last West Coast summer & Raeann prepares for her 30th birthday festivities. There’s so much to look forward to this summer, and we talk about movies we’re excited to watch on the big screen, weigh in on Kardashian sibling drama and spill the beans on some of our own wild stories about how our siblings make us feel psycho. Long story short: we’re crazy & you’re going to love how we let it out in this episode.
“Honestly, summer travel plans can give me a little bit of anxiety because I always feel like you're supposed to plan those epic adventures, and it's like, wait, what is an epic adventure? Why do I feel like I have to go to a different country? Why do I feel like I have to be in Europe over summer otherwise I'm having a mediocre summer? No, summer is what you make of it. You choose your own adventure. - Kristina”

Victoria Browne is known for keeping it real all around on social media, which is incredibly refreshing in an online world of filters & FaceTune. With transparency and relatability being at the top of the list of things we love about her, the topics she shares on her page are constantly evolving along with her. On today's episode, we’re learning how Victoria is entering her wrecking ball era and being even more unapologetically herself. Victoria shares her experience as an athlete in relation to her struggles with binge eating and perfectionism, how she’s currently trying to overcome people-pleasing, how she navigates tough conversations with friends and maintains her long-distance female friendships, and what success looks like for her now.

We are so freaking excited to introduce our new series, Going Deeper with Rosie, where we are going to dig a little deeper into more vulnerable and super important topics we really care about. We have brought on the perfect person for the job, our dear friend Rosie. Honestly this girl has a way with words. We hope this series provides a deeper connection, understanding and exploration of ideas that influence our confidence, and ultimately help us become more confident in ourselves.
In this episode, we’re diving deeper into the complex issue of weight loss: Why does it feel like everyone is losing weight right now? Is it a bad thing to want to lose weight? Are we allowed to be in bigger bodies and feel healthy and strong? We talk about our personal thoughts and journeys around weight loss as women who love being in bigger bodies, and explore how we can connect more deeply to our own individuality and values. Community and representation play a huge role in this journey for us, and we hope this podcast will help you feel less alone if you’re struggling with the same thing. We may not have all the answers, but we’re not afraid to go there and be honest with how we’re feeling now.
Make sure to let us know what topics you want us to dive deeper into with Rosie next month by sending us a DM on Instagram @confidentcollective!

She's honestly revolutionized the industry with her leak proof underwear, and they have now expanded into apparel and to swim. Knix is one of the first brands to ever use real people of all ages and sizes on their website and marketing, and it’s because Joanna truly believes all women should be seen.
In this conversation you’ll learn more about her entrepreneurial journey, how she built the Knix brand with innovation, community and inclusion in mind, challenges she faced, how she handles change and how she balances being a mom and CEO. She is a testament to not living life safe, and is all around super inspirational. It's clear that Joanna cares so much about her brand, her vision, and most importantly the community. No matter where you are in your life, you're going to learn so much from her story.
"We have this mantra at Knix which is safe is risky, and sometimes the riskiest thing in the world is to play it safe. And that's how we feel right now. There are so many different brands, there's so many options. How are we really gonna connect with our customers and make them know that we're different? And to do that we have to take risks." - Joanna Griffiths
What We Talk About:
"At the core of Knix, we believe that the most aspirational thing in the world is to like yourself and to be comfortable with who you are. And ultimately we're all just in pursuit of that." - Joanna Griffiths

We are so excited to be back with you after a short hiatus! We are feeling refreshed and so ready to be back on the mic. We missed the Confident Collective community, and are excited to finally catch you up on everything that’s been going on in our lives over the past couple of months. We also share all the exciting details of our Los Angeles pool party happening on June 17th, what to expect if you’re coming and some outfit recipe ideas to help you feel so confident in a swimsuit. Finally, if you’ve been feeling the “change for summer” pressure or trends on social media, we’re here with an important reminder to do you and don’t buy into this mentality.
“You don't need to change everything about yourself before summer. Just keep doing you and live your life. You don't need to change your body for summer. Don't get caught up in this trap of having to do a complete 180 of your life before June.” - Raeann
What We Talk About:
“When it comes to swimsuits, you need two different ones; one that you just automatically feel confident in the second you put on it, and the other one is one that you feel great in, but you could also move around more in. Maybe it's a little bit more supportive, maybe it has a little bit more coverage.” - Kristina

The burnout is real, you guys. Both Raeann and Kristina have been going through a lot this year; having a baby and moving to a new city. They have recently recognized that maintaining their current workload is causing them to neglect their mental health. We believe in listening to your gut and that it is important to take time to rest, so, we’re taking a break from the podcast for the next couple of months to recharge. We hope you understand that it was a really hard but necessary decision, and we’ll be back with a new episode on June 6th!
Plus - we still have a lot of exciting things in the works for the TCC community we can’t wait to share. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Instagram to stay in the know about an exciting upcoming event this summer we’ll be announcing soon!
“It's the manifesting generator in me that feels like I can do everything, I have so much energy, I can do it all. And I feel like I have been doing it all, but at a cost. I feel like at that cost was my sanity. I think I need a moment to like really slow down and be present." - Kristina Zias
We also talk about…
“When I am just going, going, going, that is not in alignment with how I best function and how I feel the most inspired and most creative. Also we're in an interesting job where we are our job and I'm so thankful for that, but at the same time, I feel like between TikTok, Instagram, and the podcast, I have nothing left to give.” - Raeann Langas

Take the inspiration and then let your little creative juices be free.” - Raeann Langas
We also talk about…
“Something else I'm really excited about making a comeback is so much silver jewelry. I have been wearing a lot more silver lately and I love it. And I feel like for a while, everyone was doing more dainty jewelry, but now statement earrings are back in such a big way. And I think that's really exciting." - Kristina Zias

Welcome Greek Goddess, curve model, and content creator Ella Halikas to the show! Ella shares our mission to help other women feel confident in their skin, and turned her biggest dream into a reality by becoming a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model in 2021. We admire Ella’s confidence and her ability to go after her goals with determination and grace. She reminds us that we get to our big goals by focusing on our passion, and striving to be our best self every day.
Today she is sharing her best advice for setting boundaries with family members when it comes to conversations about weight, building “delusional” confidence, overcoming fear of failure, setting goals while avoiding burnout, and how rejection breeds resilience. We discuss dating as curvy women, and the self-worth struggles we are working through. We also talk about what it’s really like working as a full-time curve model, and the exciting project she will be releasing soon. We are grateful to Ella for sharing her wisdom and experience, and know you’re going to love this conversation!
“I think that having confidence really means wanting to be better than who you were yesterday. I'm always striving to be the best version of myself in all different facets.” - Ella Halikas
We also talk about:
“We grow and we learn so much from our failures. I learn the most about myself, about what I can achieve, how I can handle situations, when I fail, when I lose, when I get rejected, when I get told no, when I get dropped from agencies, when I don't get the job anymore. Don't let that stop you because literally on the other side of failure is the win.” - Ella Halikas

Constantly losing things? Unfortunately. Always thinking someone is either mad at or obsessed with us? Most likely. Thinking that money is no object at the airport? Guilty. In this episode, we’re exposing all of our toxic traits and share some top offenders submitted by listeners. In summary, we're all toxic AF, but to be honest, we have no desire to change our toxic traits. It's fun to laugh at ourselves, so let’s accept them and keep doing what we're doing, okay?
Plus, Kristina shares some exciting family news and updates us on if she is planning on moving to the east coast. Raeann gives Kristina reasons why moving to NYC could have a positive impact on her career, shares an update about how she’s thriving in the city, and we talk about our current obscure Tik Tok holes.
“Another really bad toxic trade of mine is how often I lose things.” - Kristina
“My top toxic trait is thinking everyone’s in love with me.” - Raeann
We also talk about:
Kristina: “This is someone's toxic trait in his mind as well: My phone is always about to die.”
Raeann: “That is a toxic trait about people that really annoys me. How was your phone always dying? Do you not have a charger? This is 2023.”

We’re sure you already know and love today’s guest, Olivia Noceda! Olivia has had an alcohol-free lifestyle for the past 15 months, so we invited her on the podcast to share her experience and to explore the concept of sober curiosity. Olivia shares her personal journey with sober curiosity and why she decided to cut out alcohol. We discuss the similarities between the sober curious movement and diet culture, and the red flags to be aware of. We also talk about the correlation between alcohol and hookup culture, and how to navigate dating while sober curious.
Raeann and Kristina both open up about their own relationships with alcohol and share real-time reflections about why they drink. As Raeann has recently experienced, living in a drinking culture like NYC can be challenging for those who are exploring an alcohol-free lifestyle, so Olivia shares some great tips for going out and feeling more comfortable not drinking. We also delve into the potential effects on friendships and relationships and provide advice for those who want to stop drinking but are worried about the impact it could have on their social life.
Join us for this enlightening, honest conversation as we explore the growing shift towards sober curiosity and the importance of asking ourselves how alcohol does or doesn’t serve us in this phase of life. Regardless of what you choose, remember to always do what’s best for you, and that trusting yourself is loving yourself. P.S. Don’t forget to head to Olivia’s website and Instagram to try out some of her delicious mocktail recipes!
“The questions I started asking myself were; how does alcohol serve me? What is it to me in my life and what is my relationship with it? With no judgment, I'm not judging myself, I just want to know what it is. And very simply, I had nothing good to say about it. I just started to realize that there was nothing really positive that it was bringing into my life.” - Olivia Noceda
What We Talk About:
“I feel there's obviously a lot of judgment for people who don't drink, but I also feel like there's a lot of people who don't drink who judge those that do. We all need to have a little bit more fair play and more respect for everyone's life choices, no matter what they are.” - Kristina Zias
“When you are following what you desire and what you are interested in and bettering your life, you're basically weeding out people who aren't aligned with your values and your mission. And that's just going to be better for you in the long run. So in the short term, it can be scary, but I think you have to look ahead to the long, long term goal. - Raeann Langas

The audacity! We’re laughing but it’s actually ridiculous, the shit men say. And honestly, no one gets more random, crazy shit said to them than us. We’re sharing personal stories about the most insane things men have said to us; from commenting on our size, to the way we walk, to how our eyes look. Then, we share some of the most unhinged things our TCC listeners have heard from men. We can’t imagine what’s going through their minds to make these comments, but they sure as hell have made for funny stories. Whether they don’t know how ridiculous they sound or simply don’t care, let’s take this opportunity to collectively call them out on their BS.
“I think one of the most ridiculous things that someone said to me was when I was walking into Gelson's, which is a grocery store in LA, the security guard goes, ‘Damn girl, you walking like you’re about to fuck somebody up.’ And I was like, excuse me?” - Kristina

She shares everything from “Get Ready with Me” videos to beauty tutorials and transformations to her new home and her life with her fiance.
In today's episode, we talk about everything Mikayla has accomplished in her career at only 24 years old; from working at Ulta to now being a full-time content creator. We also talk about the online hate and criticism she's received, how it takes a toll on your mental health and how she's established her confidence over the past couple years. Overall, we think you're really gonna love this episode. We know so many of you follow and admire her, and hope you enjoy getting to know her on another level.
“ When people say, ‘Mikayla, you're my favorite body positivity influencer,’ I don't think that's fair to say because I do struggle with an eating disorder and because I don't believe I'm the most body positive. I try to be realistic about it where yes, I have grown confident in myself, but not every day is perfect for me.” - Mikayla Nogueira
What We Talk About:
“In that moment I was like, ‘Am I gonna lose all my followers? Is my career over? Am I no longer gonna have any opportunities? Are people not gonna wanna watch me anymore?’ All those fears I had about negativity, that whole situation just proved me wrong. People will constantly try to take you down, but you just keep going and don't let it change who you are.” - Mikayla Nogueira

Baby boy number 2 has arrived! It’s so wild what an adventure pregnancy and labor and delivery are. There’s so many highs and lows and ALL THE EMOTIONS but with the absolute best reward ever in the end. In this episode, Kristina is sharing her entire birth story; which was much different (and harder) than her first experience, and to be honest, pretty stressful and traumatic. Although both mom and baby are recovering and doing well, Kristina openly and transparently walks through the details of her labor and delivery, giving her advice and learnings along the way. She shares how she and her husband Steve introduced baby Christian to Nikolas, his initial reaction to his baby brother, and how it’s going now. Motherhood is so hard and so fulfilling at the same time. Balancing a newborn and a toddler is a whole new ballgame but Kristina feels so confident and at peace knowing that she’s got this.
“On the way to the hospital, honestly, we had so much fun. I was in so much pain and we just started blasting music and acting like we were going to the club. We were singing at the top of our lungs and it felt like we were just about to embark on this crazy adventure, which we were. But instead of going to the club, we're going to the hospital.” - Kristina Zias
“All I knew was: the baby's gonna come tonight, so there's no point in me trying to get some sleep. So I was like, I'm gonna do my makeup and hair because if we're gonna have a baby tonight, I might as well at least try and look cute, and at least that will distract me from the pain. This is how I choose to give birth, how I choose to distract myself. And it was an amazing distraction, honestly. - Kristina Zias
What We Talk About:
“Not to sound so woowoo, but that energy really makes a big difference. I know if I were to have another one or if you're having a baby, I think it's important to communicate the type of energy you need from your doctor because that is something I never would've thought of.” - Kristina Zias
“ Around 11:26 AM my little boy Christian James DeAngelo, who was born: nine pounds, five ounces with a knotted umbilical cord. My little miracle baby is just like the sweetest little thing, and I feel like I'm just meant to be a mom. I feel so confident in that, and it feels really great. Obviously it's super, super hard and challenging and there have been tears along the way but I feel like you realize how strong you are and how resilient you are, and just having a growing family is such a blessing.” - Kristina Zias

Reflecting on different phases of your life gives you an opportunity to appreciate the moments that have made you who you are, and shows you that you’re capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. When Raeann moved to Los Angeles five years ago, her life looked a lot different. As she prepares to close this chapter and move to NYC, our good friend Rosie joins Raeann on the podcast to help her recognize and celebrate her evolution and ask hard questions that dive deep into the pivotal moments that have led Raeann to who she is today. We talk about the failures that were just redirections to something better, how to move forward after a big breakup, how solitude is the best way to truly get to know yourself, betting on yourself and going after your dreams even when people around you don’t understand it and so much more. If you’re feeling lost, or don’t know what’s next for you, we hope this episode inspires you to get to know yourself on a deeper level and really go after what you want in life.

Are you someone who has been on birth control for years yet doesn’t really understand its long term effects? How familiar are you with your cycle? Did you know that having horrible PMS symptoms is NOT normal and due to hormone imbalances that we can fix through lifestyle adjustments in each phase of our cycle? Unfortunately, women haven’t been well-informed about our own bodies, but it’s time to take our power back and equip ourselves with knowledge of how our bodies can function their best. And we have the best guest to lay it all out for us “hormone virgins” in this episode!
Alisa Vitti is busting female wellness myths and teaching us how to get to know our bodies and cycles better. Alisa Vitti is a women’s hormone and functional nutrition expert and pioneer in female biohacking. She is the best selling author of WomanCode, and her new book, In the FLO. She is the creator of the Cycle Syncing Method™— a female centric diet and lifestyle program that leverages hormonal patterns for optimal health, fitness and productivity. As the founder of FLOLiving.com, she has built the world’s first menstrual healthcare platform that helps women around the world put their period issues like PCOS, Fibroids, Endometriosis, and PMS into remission naturally using her highly effective FLO Protocol and the FLO Balance Supplements.
Get out your notebooks, because this episode is full of information you need to know to optimize your life through hormone balancing with the Cycle Syncing Method. We talk about why so many women struggle with hormone imbalances, how to cycle sync your workouts, what to eat in the different phases of your cycle, and so much more. We know you’re going to learn so much in this episode, just like we did. Make sure to share this episode with a friend because all women deserve to know what’s going on with their bodies.
“That whole relationship that women historically have had with exercise, with fitness, with dieting, with their bodies, with weight has been made unnecessarily toxic because they’ve been given a blueprint that belongs to the self optimization for a man’s metabolism. I created the cycle synching method because the form of our self care must follow the function of our hormones.” - Alisa Vitti
What we talk about:
“The cycle syncing method is the method I created to help women really understand what to do to take care of themselves correctly in each phase of their cycle. Doing this reduces stress, protects your delicate reproductive hormone balance, protects ovulation, reduces PMS, keeps blood sugar; does all the things you need it to do which is the direct opposite of how you’ve been told to care for yourself.” - Alisa Vitti

Diet culture and thin-praising has been highlighted in news articles, entertainment and culture a lot lately, and we know how harmful these messages can be. If you’re struggling with comparison, or the pressure to be thinner or lose weight before going home for the holidays, hit play on this episode to reframe your mindset on what will really help you feel more confident, and remind yourself that your worth is not tied to your weight. If you’re being influenced by negative comments or people around you that believe being thin or losing weight is the answer to your problems, you have the power to change the conversation. And we’ve got your back.
“I don't have a goal to dress to look thinner. I have a goal to wear things that make me feel confident, feel cool or inspire me in some way. That’s something we have to remind ourselves: you don’t have to dress to look thinner. You don’t have to workout to lose weight.” - Kristina
What we talk about:
“During that time in my life I could not have felt worse about myself. I thought I was the biggest human being to walk the earth. I’m 30 pounds heavier now and I'm so much more confident. Losing weight will not make you happier in your body if you're not doing it for the right reason and if you’re doing it for outside validation.” - Raeann

Let’s be real, being the bigger friend in your friend group sucks sometimes: not being able to share clothes, shop at the same stores, and hearing people thinner than you complain about their bodies. We receive messages from listeners all the time requesting advice on how to handle these situations. Raeann and Kristina have both been the bigger friend, in size and height, and know that it can feel alienating. But they’ve also come a long way in their confidence journeys and have plenty of good advice to share. So, we’re talking about how to change your mindset and embrace your height and size in this episode!
“You can’t change people’s opinions necessarily. If someone thinks you’re fat or too tall, they’re gonna think that. You have to really work on changing your own perception of yourself.” - Kristina
What we talk about:
“Fuck yeah, we are tall, gorgeous, Amazonian, bad-ass women. It’s all about changing the mindset that we need to take up less space. Own the fact that that is your power. If you are tall and curvy, you are fucking gorgeous, and you have to tell yourself that. And (your mindset) will start to change.” - Raeann

Raeann loved following her and was super inspired by her fire Brooklyn Bridge engagement photos so we had to have her on the podcast to hear more!
“There's a lot of hidden costs of being plus-size, and then you add the layer of not having options. I’m very much wanting to do what I want to do and you push me into this box with 5 options to choose from that are standard? No.” - Taelor

Today we’re talking about lady parts with Dr. Sherry Ross. She is an award winning OBGYN, health expert, author of She-ology and has a segment on Ellentube called “Lady Parts” with Sarah Hyland. Her goal is to give women the means to take charge of their health at every stage of their lives. Today we’re asking all of your vagina questions - yes, especially the ones you’re too embarrassed to ask yourself (like what condoms to buy, red flag smells, BV, labido, all of the above!). This is the episode you want to share with your friends so we all have access to this important information about our bodies and how we can protect and care for them.
“KNOW WHAT'S NORMAL SO THEN YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT'S ABNORMAL, BECAUSE THERE'S MANY THINGS THAT AFFECT THE PH BALANCE, ODOR AND TASTE OF THE VAGINA.” - DR. SHERRY
What we talk about:
“MEN TEND TO HAVE AN ORGASM WITHIN 3-5 MINUTES. WOMEN, WE’RE 13-20, SO IF THE AVERAGE FOREPLAY IS WITHIN 13 MINUTES, WHICH IT USUALLY IS, THEN WE’RE OUT OF LUCK. IF YOU THINK ABOUT THE MOST COMMON REASON WOMEN ARE DRY, IT’S BECAUSE WE AREN’T GIVEN THE TIME WE NEED TO GET OUR ENGINES REVVED.” - DR. SHERRY

Here’s what happened. A few months ago, Raeann’s friend told her about this app. It’s called feeld, and it focuses on establishing connections based on your sexual desires in the “spirit of openness and experimentation.” Because she’s someone who approaches things with an open and curious mindset, she downloaded it and made a profile. Find out in this episode how she ended up having “a more positive experience” than other dating apps, got out of her comfort zone, and learned how to be up front with her expectations sooner in her dating life. P.S. This one might make you blush.
“I’ve been thinking about sober dating, as in not drinking on the first date. I think what is happening is that I’m getting drunk on the first date, which is fun. But then I’ve got the drunk goggles on, which is why I’m so obsessed with them at first.” - Raeann
What we talk about:
“What I've learned is that they might be on to something with having these conversations earlier on. It does tell you a lot about a person outside of even sexual things: how they can communicate, how open they are, how they are able to compromise. It’s just wild to have these conversations I’d never traditionally have on the first date.” - Raeann

Raquel is a therapist, educator, sex worker, podcaster who teaches you everything from giving a good blow job to overcoming sexual trauma. Raquel joins us to talk about how to have more confidence in the bedroom. We tackle how to set boundaries, speak up for yourself, know your inherent worth outside of what men think, overcoming insecurities by understanding fat phobia, the difference between feeling sexy versus sexual, how finding your own identity separate from your partner can spice up sex, how our upbringing affects how we view sex and so much more. Raquel truly gives incredible, accessible advice that will help you feel empowered and relieve the pressure we as women put on ourselves.
“The beginning place for people who are struggling with how they feel about their body and wanting to work through that is first naming and learning about fat phobia: how it shows up in our culture, in your family, in our culture and how you’ve internalized it. It’s damn near impossible to move through anything with your body if you're not recognizing the system which informs it.” - Raquel Savage
What we talk about:
“I’m not even aiming to be sexy anymore. I’m aiming to be alive, and to move my body and to smell good, and to eat things that make me feel really divine, and to do things with my body that make me feel joy.” - Raquel Savage

Kristina has been with Steve for 11 years, and has learned a lot throughout their relationship. From being 22 dealing with insecurities to moving across the country to start a new life together and then starting a family, Kristina has valuable insight to share about how to have a happy, long-lasting relationship.
It’s important to remember that no one’s relationship is perfect and not to compare yourself or your relationship to anyone else’s (even Kristina and Steve’s.) We hope this information gives you a new perspective on what you should look for in a partner and what to prioritize in a relationship for it to be the most healthy, loving and fulfilling it can be. At the very least, we hope you feel seen, understood and less alone with the challenges and learnings within your relationship.
“A guy who cares about you is not trying to put you through the ringer, he’s not trying to play games, he’s going to make the effort. He’s going to text you and thank you for a good night out. You shouldn’t have to guess if someone’s into you and if you’re questioning it, he’s probably not.” - Kristina
What Kristina talks about:
“Sometimes seasons of sadness or anger feel so much longer than seasons of happiness and excitement. It’s important to reflect on your relationship as a whole, and not let those frustrating moments be bigger than they are or overshadow all the beautiful moments you have together.” - Kristina

We’re back from the holiday break! So obviously we’re catching you up on what we’ve been up to. Raeann went to Cabo with her family to live her best life, and Kristina was with her family in New Jersey. Hear about Kristina and Steve’s exploration of homes in the NJ/NY area and if they’re making any offers. Then, Kristina and Raeann share what they really think about resolutions, what their intentions are for the new year and what goals they’re working towards. From the internal work of trusting ourselves and taking better care of our health to living abroad for the summer and the physical challenge of ½ marathon training, there’s a lot to look forward to in 2022! Finally, we give our advice for a listener’s question about how to approach motherhood while sticking to your career path, and if you can do both.

The episode Raeann has been hyping up for weeks is finally here! After we spoke to Dara Dubinet, Raeann called her mom and said, “I just met someone who’s going to change my life.” If you’re into astrology or human design, you’re going to LOVE this episode. Dara Dubinet joins us to explain Astrogeography - the astrology of place - and how we can use this tool to tap into our soul’s wish and know where in the world will energetically benefit us. Dara tells Raeann and Kristina where they’ll find the best energy for their desires and needs right now. If you’re feeling lost in your relationships, career or life in general, astrogeography could be a really great place for you to start putting the puzzle pieces together and creating the life you’ve been dreaming about.
We hope everyone is healthy, taking time to relax and reset for the new year. We’ll be back with our next new episode on January 11th.
“Astrogeography is the Astrology of place. There are some places that are going to make you feel really good, and some that don’t. Astrogeography is the first thing to look at if you're having any problems whatsoever because then you're like ‘oh, that's why I feel this way.’” - Dara Dubinet

“In your 20’s you are expected to mess up and not know what the heck you're doing or what you want to do. In your 30’s you're supposed to have it all together. So to be in your 30’s and thinking ‘wait a minute…what do I want?’ has been something super interesting to reflect on.” - Kristina

Do you feel pressure to lose weight before going home or seeing family around the holidays? Are you nervous about hearing comments about your weight from family members?
If you answered yes to either of those, you’re not alone. Raeann and Kristina have always felt the pressure of losing weight before coming home at the risk of hearing unwanted comments from family. Although we know they may have good intentions or honestly don’t know how their comments affect you, it’s time to take your power and voice back.
In this episode, Rae and K share ways in which you can reframe the conversation with your family so they know how confident you are in your body. It may take a while to get comfortable standing up for yourself, but just keep speaking up. You never know who in your family you could inspire to break free of the pressure themselves by letting them know how you truly feel.
“I’ve always felt like I can't go home without losing weight. Like my family will think, ‘Oh my god, what happened to her?’ I’ll hear comments or they’ll be like, ‘You need to lose weight.’ Or I’ll feel like I can’t have another treat or everyone’s watching me eat. And that’s a terrible feeling. I’ve always felt like that. Growing up I always felt like because I was the bigger sibling, I was being watched.” - Kristina Zias
What We Talk About:

The Multiverse is an ecosystem for all things fungi with the mission to make functional mushrooms sexy and create education and collaboration amongst the psychedelics industry. She is no doubt the expert on shrooms and has truly opened our minds about the many incredible benefits of functional, psychedelic and culinary mushrooms (which FYI: humans have been using for thousands of years.)
“There's a different benefit for each mushroom individually, but overall they are incredible for immune health, skin health, gut health, and cognitive function.” - Alli Schaper
Although there’s been a lot of stigma around the use of functional and psychedelic mushrooms, we’re now able to look at the science to direct us into understanding how they can really help us. From mental health and microdosing studies to swapping coffee for mushrooms to aid in our physical health, we got a full rundown of why mushrooms are the next big trend in wellness.
“Everything you kind of need health wise - there’s a mushroom for that.” - Alli Schaper
Alli’s team has launched the world's first functional mushroom marketplace at yourmultiverse.com, and is set to launch SuperMush, their in-house CPG brand, Fall 2021. Human design: you may have heard of it, but did you know you can use your human design type as a tool to understand yourself better, see yourself and your energetic needs more clearly & accept yourself as the unique human you are? Clearly we needed to know more, so we invited human design guide and leadership coach, Erin Claire Jones on the podcast to break it all down for us!
“Human design is a system based on your time, date and place of birth to reveal your energetic blueprint; how you’re wired to make decisions, work within teams, operate, parent and all the things. It basically gives us our own unique roadmap and is very practical. It gives us tools we can integrate into our daily lives easily.” - Erin Claire Jones
Our favorite takeaway: Erin reminds us that, “there’s so much conditioning for us to be the same. Human design reminds us, which we also know, just how different we are and how things can be when we really honor that.” In this episode, Erin explains what Raeann and Kristina’s human design types say about them specifically, how it can help their partnership and what it means for romantic relationships.
“Our world is built for us to be one type of way and I love that human design shows that we’re not all meant to do the same things in the same way.” - Raeann Langas
What We Talk About:
“If you’re in a funk, there’s nothing wrong with you. We don’t have to feel amazing all the time and be these peppy, perfect versions of ourselves. That’s not realistic, that’s exhausting.” - Kristina Zias

Raeann has been struggling lately when it comes to dating and its’ effect on her confidence, so we invited our friend Rosie to join us in a truthful, vulnerable conversation about the nuances of dating as curvy women, why women are so affected by the presence or lack of male attention, where confidence really comes from, how to gain it back when you’re in a funk, the role men should be playing in evolving the conversation around fat phobia and so much more.
We know many of you in our community deal with the same things we are going through, so if you’re also struggling with self worth while dating or need some support getting out of a confidence funk, this conversation is for you. And it’s not because you need to be fixed, but because there’s comfort in understanding you’re not alone. Coming together around shared experiences is powerful, as is acknowledging and feeling all of the ups and downs of your confidence journey (because it will always ebb and flow.)
We’re sitting with you in this space and meeting you where you are to provide validation as your friends and virtual support system. We hope it’s helpful for whatever you’re going through!
Top quotes and takeaways from episode 59 include:
“That narrative of: ‘no don't be insecure about that because men like it’ as opposed to ‘no, you are beautiful and your legs are strong and you should be thankful for them’ is part of our conditioning.” - Kristina
“It's less of a question to be solved and more of a pain to be felt.” - Rosie
“As I continue dating and meeting men, it’s not just all them, it’s on me to figure out what’s going on with me and why do I believe that men don’t like me because they think I’m fat and working through that and reframing that so I actually believe it and can have a more positive experience with men.” - Raeann

How would your life be different if you grew up seeing someone who looks like you represented in film and TV? Most of the narrative we have grown up with is based on the limited demographic that we’ve seen represented on our screens, and if you don’t happen to fall into the thin body crowd, it’s likely this has had an effect on what you think you can or can’t do. As Raeann admits, the lack of body diversity and representation has held her back from pursuing opportunities because she didn’t think it was for girls like her.
In today’s episode, Kristina and Raeann have the privilege of sitting down with dancer and actor, Simone Recasner, who stars in Fox’s new show The Big Leap, premiering Monday, 9/20. Simone plays Gabby Lewis who is a single mother who gets a second shot at her dream. And as you’ll hear in this episode, Simone shares many similarities to her character that help her, as well as Kristina and Raeann, relate to her incredible and inspiring story.
This episode is full of excitement, hope, empowerment and joy as Simone, Kristina and Raeann share their “big leap” moments, how they’ve cultivated confidence, tips for retraining their brains to believe that all bodies are beautiful (especially their own!), confronting the inner narrative we have that holds us back, showing ourselves love and compassion in moments of self doubt and so much more.
The ladies also give their honest advice to help a listener who is struggling with whether or not they should step in when their friend’s husband displays questionable behavior. And don’t miss Raeann’s update on where things went after last week’s DM! You seriously won’t believe it.
