Conversations about politics, the world, and life in the USA. Josh has a background in the military and intelligence community. He has worked with special operations and conventional forces in seven different countries across three different continents. Jon studied philosophy in Europe and has a background in higher education. He is multilingual and has spent nearly ten years abroad, living in Europe and Mexico. His work experience includes contract work for the Vatican, positions at Anáhuac University in Mexico City, and more recently renewable energy investments in the Southeast. Paul has worked in several industries from healthcare to welding. He has worked as an orthopedic tech, an anesthesia technologist, a chiropractic technician, a boilermaker / welder, and an engineering and sales support associate.

Wade - perhaps one of the most famous and controversial court cases to date. Originally decided on in 1973, this decision federally legalized abortion in the United States. The Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and the Afghan National Army (ANA) offered little resistance to the Taliban's advance even as they moved into the outskirts of Kabul on Sunday morning, August 15th, 2021.
Thousands of Afghans have tried to flea the city of Kabul. The American embassy has relocated all of its staff to the Hamid Karzai International Airport. Meanwhile, the Biden administration has sent an additional 1,000 troops back to Afghanistan to maintain security throughout the evacuation.
In this episode, Josh asserts that the U.S. owes Afghanistan nothing further. The impending humanitarian crisis is a Afghan problem. The U.S. has invested over $1 Trillion into Afghanistan to prepare them to govern and secure themselves. Any failure to do so, is a failure on the part of the people of Afghanistan.
Can the worst country in the world get even worse? Apparently so. Today we discuss Afghanistan. We bring the most recent news from the Taliban's lightning campaign to reclaim the territory that they lost in 2001. We discuss the U.S. response and responsibility and the morality of leaving an invaded nation.

There are a lot of things going on in the country, and outside of the country at the same time. The President of the United States of America claims to be Catholic and at the same time supports policies that directly contradict the teaching of the Catholic Church, and the Church has decided to move forward in drafting a document issuing guidance to US politicians on whether or not they can support certain policies and still be in good standing with the Church in order to receive Holy Communion.

In the age of technology of today where it is so easy to arm-chair quarterback every case and arrest that rolls through the media and grabs attention, it is important to take a step back and actually read through the policies and written instruction for police officers and weigh and balance the situations that they are in based off of the training and instruction they receive. As the longest year of the decade for so many comes to a close, we are also wrapping up our first season of podcasts. Its been a wild ride through 2020 not to mention the past decade in general.
