The Bristol Flyers Podcast brings you exclusive news and discussions on all things Flyers and British Basketball. Hosted by Head of Communications Joel Osborne and gameday PA announcer Sam Hardy.
The Bristol Flyers Podcast returns for one final bonus episode to wrap up the 2025/26 season.
We look back on the Flyers’ playoff campaign and the heartbreaking two-legged quarter-final defeat to Manchester Basketball by the narrowest of margins.
We also dive into:
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the podcast and the Bristol Flyers throughout the season.
The podcast will now take a short offseason break - but keep an eye out for possible bonus episodes over the summer whenever big Flyers news drops.
The Bristol Flyers are heading into playoff week - and we look ahead to a huge playoff test as the team face Manchester Basketball in the quarter-finals.
We break down the matchup, key storylines, and what the Flyers will need to do to get through - plus how preparation, recovery, and those marginal gains could make all the difference when it matters most.
We also paid a visit to Sivo Wellness, one of the club’s performance partners, to find out how players are preparing physically and mentally for the biggest games of the season.
Joined by Jake Woolmore and Harry Thacker of the Bristol Bears - and co-founders of SIVO - we explore:
Plus, we dive into their journey from professional rugby to building a high-performance wellness space right here in Bristol.
We’re joined by Jonathan Brown as he reflects on a huge milestone in his career - his first ever call-up to the Great Britain Senior Men’s National Team.
JB takes us behind the scenes of the entire experience - from where he was when he got the call, to what it’s really like stepping into a GB training camp alongside some of the country’s top talent.
He opens up on what he learned from the experience, the standards required at international level, and how close he feels to making that final 12-man squad in the future.
We also chat about his journey to this point, life in Bristol with the Flyers, and how he’s continuing to develop his game.
Plus, we visit our partners at the Enhanced Barbershop, as Cam Holden, Cam Christon and Evan Walshe share their biggest British basketball hot takes.
We’re joined in the studio by Flyers guard Cam Christon to talk about his journey to the club and how he’s settling into life in Bristol.
Cam discusses his first impressions of the Flyers since joining the team mid-season, how the transition has been on and off the court, and what it’s like playing under head coach Andreas Kapoulas.
We also chat about his previous time in the league with the Cheshire Phoenix, where he helped win the 2024 British Basketball League Trophy.
We also dive into:
Make sure to give us a rating and review via your usual podcast provider or recommend us to a friend if you're enjoying the show.
From an undefeated college season to making his mark in the UK, Will Yoakum joins the Bristol Flyers Podcast to share his incredible basketball journey.
Will opens up about his historic year at Nova Southeastern University, winning the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Championship, his experience with the Chicago Bulls at the NBA Summer League, and how those moments shaped his path to professional basketball.
Plus, we chat about life in Bristol, living with teammates, the Flyers’ season so far, and how he’s spending his time during the international break.
Welcome back to the Bristol Flyers Podcast.
This week, we’re joined in the studio by Joe Anderson, who’s in the middle of his rookie professional season after graduating from Lipscomb University - and he’s here to set the record straight.
Joe responds to former college teammate and current Flyers teammate Owen McCormack, who accused him of eating chicken tenders on the sofa… but that’s just the start.
We dive into Joe’s life in Bristol, adjusting to living overseas, and how having Owen alongside him has helped during his first season in the UK. Joe also talks about the chemistry within the Flyers squad and what makes this group so connected.
Plus, Joe opens up about his basketball journey - from growing up with the game, through Lipscomb University, to taking his first steps as a professional in the SLB. He also shares what it meant to have his parents visit him in Bristol before the festive period and see his new life first-hand.
We take the Bristol Flyers Podcast on the road to Romania, as we join our incredible sponsors on their trip to Bucharest for the Flyers’ ENBL clash with CSO Voluntari.
In this festive special episode, we go behind the scenes of the trip and catch up with a number of our sponsors to learn more about their support of the Flyers and what being part of the Flyers family means to them.
Away from the basketball, we explore the city with a walking tour of Bucharest, including a visit to the Christmas Market 🎄 - with a special segment recorded on the Ferris wheel overlooking the city.
We also speak to some of our most loyal Flyers fans who made the journey to Romania to support the team on the road, capturing the passion and community that make this club so special.
Basketball, travel, festive vibes and Flyers family - this one has it all.
This week on the Flyers Podcast, we sit down with one of the newest members of the squad - Miloš Dugalić. Since joining the Flyers at the start of the season, Miloš has already shown fans what he can do on the court, but today we dive deeper into the person behind the performance.
Miloš opens up about his journey to Bristol, how he’s settling into a new city and culture, and what life is like away from basketball. From first impressions of the Flyers family to the routines, hobbies and musical tastes that keep him grounded, this is a full, honest look at Miloš beyond the hardwood.
We also break down our recent games - including the huge home win over the London Lions and the learning moments from Syntainics MBC in the European North Basketball League - hearing Miloš’ perspective on preparation, mindset and growth.
If you’re a Flyers fan eager to get to know one of the newest faces on the roster, this episode is a must-listen.
We’re joined in the studio by Zach Anderson, who gives us an inside look at the Flyers’ unforgettable European trip to Croatia - from facing a fierce crowd of Croatian ultras to being escorted to the arena by police.
Zach talks us through the intensity of that game, what it’s really like playing on the road in Europe, and how the ENBL experience compares to Super League Basketball.
We also chat about his first impressions of life in Bristol, how he’s adapting to British basketball, and with Black History Month being celebrated in October, Zach shares what the month means to him personally and the figures who’ve inspired him along his journey.
Club Captain Owen McCormack joins us in studio for an in-depth conversation about his second season with the Flyers, the team’s strong 3-1 start, and what it means to lead the club both on and off the court.
Owen opens up about:
The Bristol Flyers Podcast is back with our first in-studio guest of the season – Cam Holden!
