The American wilderness holds many legendary monsters, but possibly the oldest of them is the Wendigo. Originating from the lore of Algonquin tribes, the Wendigo is a tall, thin, horned creature who has a taste for human flesh. Real life stories of cannibalism and the Wendigo legend have influenced several films over the years, taking us on a journey into one of the darker corners of the human experience.

Fall is the time that really reigns for horror fans, but I have found that the winter season proves to be a pretty great time for horror as well. With the longer nights and colder weather, it's a good time to snuggle up and retreat into something spooky during the sugar coated season.
