My special guest this week is Alberta constitutional lawyer, Leighton Grey. Mr. Grey shines a light on the Kamloops Residential School fiasco, the “unmarked graves” narrative and the impact this unsubstantiated claim has had on our nation. We talk about the irresponsible journalism that fanned the flames, the RCMP report that was never published, the burning of hundreds of churches that took place following the hysterical announcement of “mass graves” and “murdered children” and the fact that 5 years later, NOT ONE grave has been dug up and no material evidence has been found to support the wild claims made in June of 2021. Leighton also puts forward several clear suggestions to help Canada move forward with better policies for all Canadians, including our indigenous citizens. We also discuss his new book: Trials, Tribulations and Truth. Available at Amazon.

My guest this week is Tamara Lich, the resilient spokeswoman for the 2022 Truckers’ Convoy and for all Canadians who love freedom, justice and truth. We discuss the status of various court cases: her unjust conviction in the longest “mischief” trial in the history of the Commonwealth, her appeal of that conviction, the Crown’s appeal of her sentence, the $290 million civil suit against her and some of the truckers and the lawsuit she has now filed, claiming “malicious prosecution and negligent investigation” against her persecutors. With all the drama and challenges, she remains strong and passionate about the cause of justice and carries that into her work as a reporter / journalist for Rebel News! I continue to recommend her powerful book: "Hold the Line: My Story from the Heart of the Freedom Convoy."

We also discuss the BC condo developers scandal: why are PM Carney and Premier Eby spending $3.2 billion of borrowed money propping up condo prices and bad decisions by developers?

My guest this week is Dr. David Haskell, the author of a new book entitled: Christ or Collapse: The Case Against Godless Government. Dr. Haskell and I discuss the main themes of his book and indeed, the central conclusions of his research and that of other scholars who have determined—based on stats—that societies whose laws are based on Christian principles do better than other societies based on other religions, including the religion of secular atheism. He has reviewed (and references) mountains of evidence that show that when a majority of citizens share a Christian worldview, the people of that nation are happier, more successful and prosperous than the citizens of other countries that have rejected Christ.

My guest this week is Mr. Ron Gray, former Leader of the Christian Heritage Party from 1995 until 2008. We chat about Justin Trudeau’s painful departure after 10 years of disastrous rule and the sudden appointment of Prime Minister Mark Carney. We touch on the CFIA slaughter of more than 300 healthy ostriches in Edgewood, BC and the punishment by trial of freedom fighters Tamara Lich and Chris Barber. We talk about Midnight Hammer, the US / Israel military destruction of Iran’s nuclear weapons program. We mention the arrest and re-arrest of Pastor Derek Reimer in Calgary for protecting children from Drag Queens. We talk about BC’s collapse under the weight of UNDRIP and the implications of the Cowichan decision in Richmond. We talk about the unlikely and precarious partnership between Premier Danielle Smith and PM Mark Carney in an effort to finally get a pipeline built to BC’s North Coast. Finally, we focus on three censorious ad dictatorial bills currently being debated in the House of Commons: C-2, C-8 and C-9. These bills will probably drag on into the New Year; if passed they will destroy freedom, justice and democracy as we know them. Every effort must be made to block them. Welcome to 2026! My guest this week is Katie Pasitney, who’s been on our program before. She is the official spokesperson for Universal Ostrich Farms in Edgewood, BC. My wife and I were onsite with Katie last week to see the situation for ourselves; we were so impressed with Universal Ostrich Farms and the hundreds of volunteers and supporters who have come together in community to stop the unreasonable slaughter of the ostriches. As most of you know, the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) wants to cull, kill and eliminate the farm’s 399 healthy ostriches. They refuse to test the birds or even to allow them to be tested (or counted). Dozens of RCMP are on the property and an unknown number of CFIA agents are also on the property and have taken on themselves the responsibility of caring for these unique birds since they are preventing the owners from accessing, feeding or looking after their own birds. The Supreme Court of Canada has not yet determined whether they will hear the case, in spite of international concerns being raised at the highest levels. My guest this week is Pastor Derek Reimer of Calgary. Derek feeds and ministers to the homeless in Calgary but was arrested for peacefully presenting biblical truth at a “Drag Queen Story Hour.” He was arrested again for attempting to discuss—with a library manager—the use of a public library for these types of events. He served 105 days behind bars and has now served 9 months of a 12-month sentence under house arrest. He is not allowed to pastor at his church and his regular work as a drywaller has been limited by restrictions imposed by his probation officer. This has seriously reduced his family’s income.

We discuss the $30 Billion of taxpayer-funded corporate welfare doled out to large multinational corporations like Honda, Volkswagen, Stellantis and Northvolt for major capital expansion projects that—if they were sound investments—would be able to find money without putting taxpayers deeper in debt. Many of these projects, like plants producing batteries for electric vehicles, represent ideological virtue-signalling more than serious models for sustainable energy and transportation. This week, I give a short talk on the lay of the land politically: what we’re up against as 2025 comes through the door. I talk about why it’s important not to just sit back as Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives form a majority government (as they appear likely to do), but to offer voters a real opportunity in as many districts as possible to vote for a candidate and a party that are 100% pro-life, 100% pro-traditional family values and 100% committed to defending freedom: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and freedom from skyrocketing debt and taxes. My guest this week is Helen Ward, President of the Kids First Parent Association of Canada. Helen shares with us the importance of the child-parent attachment that is strengthened when childcare is received at home, from one or both parents or another parent-figure. She also explains the high cost—both social and financial—of passing on those parental responsibilities and learning opportunities to paid childcare professionals, especially when that childcare is paid for by taxpayers and directed by government agencies. We discuss other models of providing needed child services through funding parental choice.

My guest this week is Dave Bylsma, former Mayor of West Lincoln, Ontario, former President of CHP Canada, former President of the Ontario CHP Council, eight-time CHP candidate, father of nine and grandfather of eight, successful businessman and man of integrity and principles. While Mayor during the covid era, Dave was unjustly charged in connection with speaking at a freedom event; just recently those charges were dropped as the prosecution finally came to the conclusion that there was no benefit in further court proceedings. We talk about that experience and some of the crazy contortions of local politicians who justified covid restrictions for others while ignoring them in their own circles.

We discuss the recent provincial elections and Doug shares his encouragement that—in spite of some disappointing election results in BC and New Brunswick—he sees a lot of Canadians waking up and stepping in to make a difference in the culture wars.

My guest this week is Irwin Jeffrey, CHP-BC candidate for the provincial electoral district of Skeena. He and I are representing the pro-life, pro-family, pro-freedom cause in the BC provincial election campaign that ends this Saturday, October 19 (Final Voting Day). Irwin and I compare notes on the social values of BC voters as they grapple with such issues as Bill 36, carbon taxes, rebuilding the healthcare system destroyed by the NDP, SOGI in the classrooms and the life-and-death issues of abortion, doctor-assisted suicide (MAiD) and the epidemic of gender confusion leading to irreversible gender surgeries. We talk about the desperation of folks who want the NDP out but who hesitate to vote for the candidate or party they really want due to ‘strategic’ voting and peer pressure.

Voters in Skeena who wish to communicate with Irwin or who wish to e-transfer to his campaign (Saturday, Oct 19 is the last day to contribute), may do so at: irjeff.chp@gmail.com

If making a contribution, you MUST include your full name and address, your phone number and email. MAXIMUM contribution is $1450 (TOTAL of contributions in 2024 to ALL CHP-BC candidates AND the party, CHP-BC).

My guest this week . . . is me! As Leader of CHP-BC, I’m running as a candidate in my provincial district of Bulkley Valley-Stikine in the BC Election campaign that started last Saturday (Voting Day is Oct. 19, 2024). In this short monologue, I review this week’s Communique and the contents of my campaign brochure that will soon be going into homes in our district. My guest this week is Mr. Jim Bennett, Grassroots Director and Corporate Secretary for Americans for Fair Taxation. We discuss the concept of the Fair Tax as it is proposed by their organization in the USA and as it might be applied in Canada under CHP Canada’s policy proposal. The Fair Tax is a consumption tax that would completely replace the federal income tax, allowing citizens to control the amount of taxes they pay by prudent purchasing decisions. The Fair Tax eliminates all federal income taxes and allows hard-working citizens to keep what they earn and would give them more money to save, spend and invest.

We discuss the ISCS’s second report on Ottawa’s $60 billion “Climate Change Master Plan.” In the report, Tom points out the utter insanity of spending unaffordable amounts of taxpayers’ money on a problem that doesn’t exist.
We review some of the scientific data that indicates global warming is neither the crisis so many claim it is . . . nor the result of human activity and CO2.

My guest this week is Makayla Anderson, a young poet and musician in the Bulkley Valley in Northern BC. We discuss her writings about matters of faith and hope. She and her three sisters—Kalia, Mackenzie and Madison—perform her music and lead worship at various churches and local events. In August, 2023, they made a trip to share their music with Keith and Kristyn Getty and others at an event in Nashville. We talk about the challenges and disappointments that are part of the human condition and the importance of faith and we play a few short segments of her music (links to the lyrics can be found in the episode shownotes).

Makayla can be reached at makaylalynn838@gmail.com

Lyrics to the segments played on today's episode: (written and copyrighted by Makayla Anderson; reprinted here by permission)

Heading Home (Hebrews 11-12) complete lyrics here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c21-7R_4rwozxfTlE_1IRbcqmZqnsLfcrQfGC18Rk8I/edit
Time would fail for me to tell of those through history
Who obtained promises, worked righteousness and lived in victory
They followed the Master’s call to lay down their lives
And yet, to this very day, their stories still survive

For they lived by faith, out of weakness were made strong
Yes they lived by faith and they formed a glorious throng
This world could not receive them for they were not its own
They were victorious, broken pilgrims heading home
. . .
. . . . . . .
Lest we become weary and discouraged in our souls
Let us remember Jesus; through His suffering we’re made whole
Let us hold fast to the promise that as we run this race
Our souls are safe in Jesus, no matter what we face

We will live by faith, out of weakness we’re made strong
We will live by faith, we will join the glorious throng
This world can not receive us for we are not its own
We are victorious, broken pilgrims heading home

Days rush by as whirlwinds of terror and decay
The nations quake and shatter; earth is in dismay
We are certain of uncertainty, wars and worries rise
Yet I rest in confidence; and this my soul will cry

I am absolutely certain and persuaded and assured
There is nothing that can still your love or nullify Your Word
I am confident of one thing; sure of whom I trust
I’m convinced of Your great gospel - that You’ll come back for us

Set My Eyes(Matthew 6:19-21, Colossians 3:1-3)
(Written at the onset of the war in Ukraine)

Rumors spread from sea to sea
But there’s a war inside of me
When I set my eyes on things down here
Abba, Father, give me grace
Help me seek Your holy face
You alone can rescue me from fear

I set my eyes on things above, not on things on earth
I rest my soul in the Father’s love; the joy of a brand new birth
I set my eyes on You

My guest this week is Mr. Ken Drysdale, Chairman of the team of Commissioners who conducted the National Citizens Inquiry across the country this past year. The NCI held hearings in 8 cities from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. They held 24 days of in-person hearings as well as 3 days of virtual testimony. The NCI Commissioners have now produced their Final Report of 643 pages with analysis and 400 recommendations (see shownotes for url links to the Report). In addition to the report, there are over 4000 pages of transcribed witness testimonies. The actual video footage of the witness testimonies is also available on the NCI site. I’m commenting this week about a couple of current events: 1) the predictable and disappointing conclusions reached by Justice Rouleau as Chair of the government-directed POEC (Public Order Emergency Commission) regarding the Truckers’ Freedom Convoy and 2) the illegal and disturbing influence of foreign money in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections. Money from the Chinese Communist Party was funneled into the campaigns of at least 11 federal candidates…9 Liberals and 2 Conservatives. Also a few events coming up on the CHP calendar.

My guest this week is Brian Atherton, who has been on our program before. Brian is a current Director and former President of the Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club in northern British Columbia.

Brian reviews the disastrous path of Bill C-21, the awkward and poorly-researched Liberal attempt to restrict, prohibit and confiscate legally-owned firearms from concientious and law-abiding citizens. We speak about the clumsy amendments the Liberals were forced to withdraw from the Bill as a result of public involvement and feedback to MPs and MLAs on issues like these. The outcry has been quite dramatic and seems to have taken the PM by surprise.

Brian encourages citizens to get involved in community organizations like the BV Rod and Gun Club and to continue to discuss important issues with their elected representatives.

My guest this week is Barry Neufeld, former Chilliwack School Trustee of 27 years. Barry brings us up to date on his Supreme Court defamation case against Glen Hansman, the spurious new accusations brought by Trustee Carin Bondar* and the long-standing Human Rights case he’s been fighting for over 5 years regarding public comments about the child abuse perpetrated through BC’s SOGI curriculum. We also mention the upcoming Biblical Sexuality Sunday on Jan. 15, 2023.

*We decided not to screenshare footage from Carin Bondar’s anti-God, anti-creationist video as it was just too crude. In it, she appears nude on a wrecking ball, symbolizing the destruction of Christian morality and belief.
