Innovation in the CUMC Classroom 2008 was held on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008 at the Armory, located on the Columbia University Medical Center campus. The event featured demonstrations by CCNMTL faculty partners on the use of video, Web-based portfolios, digital simulations, and virtual microscopy.

Video Interactions for Teaching and Learning (VITAL) is a Web-based learning environment that enables students to observe, analyze, and communicate ideas with video. Dr. John Zimmerman and Dr. Dodi Meyer discussed a use-case for teaching cultural competencies using VITAL.
