I had a chance to interview Warren Ballard, an African American friend of mine with whom I’ve been having deep conversations about the relationship between African immigrants in the US and African Americans. We talk about the core differences between the two groups, concerns from both sides, and finally the way forward.
This is truly an organic conversation and that is evident as the interview goes along - we go where passion leads us within the realm of the topic so bear with us. We are trying to hear each other out and it takes a while to get to some clarity on both sides, and it comes (stay tuned to Part II).
