This is a special episode of our podcast.
We are deeply grieved by the discovery of the mass grave of 215 children who died while under the care of the residential school in Kamloops, BC. This is a sobering time of reflection and mourning. We will not hide from the shameful history of these events or ignore the sins of our forefathers and how our Heavenly Father and His Kingdom has been misrepresented. We stand with and mourn with the Indigenous community as the eyes of our nation continue to be opened. We pray for truth to continue to come to light. We pray for justice, and for God to show the way to restitution. We pray for God’s deep comfort and strength to those that grieve and to those that seek healing. We pray that God would restore the hearts and souls of the broken as only HE can. We pray for soft and open hearts within the church. May we listen and truly hear the words of the survivors.
Throughout the "Calls to Action" from the National Truth and Reconciliation Commission there was a repeated call for more, continued and better education across the board. As part of our response to this, CFA was honored to have Duff Crerar come and share in June of 2019 during National Indigenous History Month. Lord, may our earthly knowledge be joined with spiritual wisdom and compassion as YOUR Spirit guides our physical outpouring of love and support for YOUR children in the Indigenous community.

On January 3, starting us off in 2021, Pastor Steve shares a message called "Caught up the Cycle: A lesson from the Psalms"
In this episode, Steve and Lance continue a conversation about the question, "What is the Church?" This time, they look ahead to the end times, reflecting on the Bible's message and theme around God's ultimate plan for the new heaven and earth and how that message should influence how we think about how we do "Church" and how we live as God's people today.
In this episode, Steve and Lance do a quick overview of the history of the Church to show how the "forms" by which Jesus-followers have gathered and worshipped has evolved throughout time, culture, and circumstance. They discuss the question, "What is the Church?", reflecting on what is of core importance to being members of the Body of Christ and what that means for the circumstances of church gatherings today.
In our pilot episode, Steve King and Lance Tyrer sit down to discuss the prevalence of conspiracy theories during difficult times, their influence, and the mindset that is often behind the promotion of such theories. Towards the end, they offer pastoral advice on how we can adjust our perspective to be more biblical as we seek to live out Christ-like, Kingdom-focused lives.
