We're talking all things cold storage!
When it comes to fire protection, cold storage warehouses and freezers need special attention! What system is appropriate for the application? What components are required? Are there more advantages to one system over another? It’s crucial for designers, installers and code officials to understand the varying systems used to protect these very cold or freezing spaces, how they work, and which sprinklers are best suited for different environments. Plus, we’ll be discussing specific Viking products, such as the new VK512 K25 ESFR dry pendent sprinkler, and their unique advantages.

Corrosion is a process caused by a chemical or electrochemical reaction resulting in material - typically a metal - to deteriorate as it ages. Corrosion is a serious concern for fire sprinklers, as their components are made primarily of metal. This TechTalks episode will explore the impact of corrosion on sprinkler reliability and share information on our corrosion resistant offerings. Additional topics include requirements of fire sprinkler codes and standards, and the mandatory corrosion testing for sprinklers.
