I know that a lot of other comedians wouldn't understand why I would make the decisions I've made but I think it's important for people to know that I manifested all of this. It's exactly what I wanted and it's exactly what I hoped it would be. I needed to be away from everyone and I needed to just work on me. I'm not getting any younger and I want to become the person I want to be and eventually become the person that I want to marry so I can attract the person I want to marry. Not everyone has to understand it but it's not by accident. Also gonna address that slander that was being posted about me and my dogs.
Joe Rogan is a liar and that's the conclusion that I've come to. The Slumber Party curse has struck again and we've lost another cast member. Little Nick has hit the road, so it's just me and producer Justin. And here we are with another episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera. Today we're discussing the Golden Rule. This was recorded the Wednesday after my birthday and I was going to post it immediately but I had to wait for my new computer to come in. Anyway, this is what it's like for me on the Vegas scene sometimes. People that aren't very good at comedy try to be rude with me and then they get upset when I decide to treat them the same way. But their idea of being rude is being soccer mom catty and my idea of being rude is just being 100% honest about their stand-up comedy. Oh well, Vegas "comedians" can have their feeling but I don't need anybody's permission to tell you you have to respect me if you want to be in my orbit. I respect you and you should respect me back...in other words, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Stay Unbothered.

Another episode of Unbothered, another birthday with my Botherinas and this is my birthday song. I'm still sober and I"m getting better and better at managing my life. I think this episode is reflective of my growth and I know that I'm growing into the person that I"m meant to be. The main goals this week were to post 10 youtube shorts, to put out Comedy Tip Tuesday ON TIME and to get Unbothered by Thai Rivera out on schedule as well. So as long as this posts at 3:15p (PST) we'll be in good shape. Btw, if anybody was wondering my birthday is on Friday. Here we are with another episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera to discuss evolution. The problem with most people, not just in my life but, in general is that they don't evolve. People stay mad about the same things forever, never really looking for how they can improve or what their contribution might have been. Instead most things for most people are about shifting blame. The problem with this really comes in when these people decide they're going to tell you what you are not realizing that maybe you actually do and have changed. For me evolution is very natural. Back with another episode of the only video podcast in Las Vegas that actually matters. I titled this one Please Forgive Me because we cover a lot of ground but in the end a lot of what seems to happen on the Vegas comedy scene is, whether I wrong them or they wrong me, I'm always supposed to be the one that needs to ask for their forgiveness. It's really strange to me because in the cases I cite here I really haven't done anything to apologize for. I'm not sayin that I've never done anything to anybody ever in my life but in these cases it just isn't the reality. Anyway, I also talk about how the comedy world can be unfair and also how somebody judged my parenting when it comes to Snoopy Bijou. Anyway, it all is what it is, but in the end we must stay unbothered.

I just want to make sure everybody know it's OK to say no to toxic people in 2022. Toxic people will try to make you feel like you're doing something wrong by putting a boundary down. They'll also try to make you feel like you're victimizing them by not forgiving them. But it is 100% OK to just cut them out completely and don't let anybody tell you different. This is my story of the toxic person that tried to approach me on New Year's Eve. Names don't matter. The example and the lesson is what is important. Share your thoughts in the comments.

The only video podcast that matters in Las Vegas is back again. That's right it's Unbothered by Thai Rivera. This episode focuses on love and relationships and why my most recent ex should have listened when I chose Blank Space to have as the music when I posted his pic on my instagram stories when we were still together. This is the bonus episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera that I've been promising you. We had a tragedy here in the Las Vegas comedy community. A very promising newer comic by the name of Cameron Ramirez passed in a strange accident the other night...so this is my RIP. Let this be the last time we have to talk about something like this. Last weekend was mess and I ended up HAVING to call the police. It was dumb and really it should have never gone down the way it did. I called the episode Gooba and if you get it you get it, I don't imagine most will but it's fun for the ones that do. This episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera will hopefully be the full launch into what I want this podcast to turn into and a departure from what it had been. Well it's time for yet another episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera. I've taken some time to be by myself and really nothing could be better for my mental health. I think being sober for the past 84 days has also been a huge help too. More than anything else this episode is for me. I'm happy with where I am and I'm happy with where I've been. The last couple of weeks has been all about being able to roll with it. Whatever it is I've just had to roll with it. I hope I don't sound angry on this one but I definitely had some stuff that I had to get off my chest. I've also cut some people out of my life lately. That doesn't come from a bad place either. I've just been noticing that to some people I've been a better friend to them than they have to me. It's not ever about not liking these people, it's just about liking me more. Last weekend I did my shows at the Thunderbird Hotel and they turned out great but it was one hiccup after another and there were points when I felt discouraged but I kept going. On this episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera I talk about the conversation I had on the phone with comedian Alex Elkin about last week's episode. I don't think Alex is a bad guy but I definitely think he has bit of a blind spot. I also talk about the responsibility that I think some of us have as comedians to not only speak but also to listen. I know some comedians will disagree but I also know that some people in general will refuse to grow and some of those people happen to be comedians. I also mention at the end that I think all of this may be winding down for me so maybe I care a little more about the message I leave in my wake. I was going through a little bit of a depression because of my residency situation and I'll talk more about that in an upcoming episode but for now my mind wanted to escape that and I let it do just that. It wasn't the plan to NOT talk about that situation, technically, I thought that was all I would talk about. I turned out to be wrong. Well this episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera is called Kimmels n Bits because it was recorded the very weekend all that BS went down with Jimmy Kimmel's sister. That weekend my friend and GREAT comic Cody Woods happened to be in town with his wife Nancy. So of course I knew Cody would make the perfect guest. Unfortunately you don't get to see Nancy until the end but eventually she will have her own episode. I really enjoyed the conversation we had but this was another adventure in editing and I need to do better. You have to be honest with yourself and there were too many points where I cut Cody off. This episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera may BOTHER some people but I have known Diaz Mackie for many years. I can't say I remember exactly what year he was accused in but the accusations never fully added up for me. Since then he has been in jail, served 2.5 years probation, been removed from shows and festivals and had his life turned upside down. If I thought he deserved it, if I thought he was guilty I would not have had him on my podcast. But I definitely did have questions for him and I'm honest with him on this episode about what didn't add up for me. We recorded this episode about 2 weeks ago on the day that Derek Chauvin was found guilty. I mention this because I think it says something about people that they will march in the streets because they admit that the criminal justice system isn't always fair with Black men specifically/especially but then when they see a Black man going through the system before their own eyes there's no compassion, sympathy, empathy or even benefit of the doubt. Anyway, like I've already said, I had questions that I wanted answers so, in a sense, I used Diaz to help me get unbothered and I think he got unbothered too. So I guess you could say we used each other and my podcast to get unbothered. Time for yet another episode of Unbothered by Thai Rivera. There are many rumors swirling about me on the Las Vegas Comedy scene and I try to address some of that here. The LATEST EPISODE of Unbothered by Thai Rivera was recorded yesterday (December 1, 2020) which was the 50th anniversary of Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat. I'm not 100% happy with the way it came out because I think I got away from talking about the White queens that want LGBTQ people of color to stay in the back of the bus where we can't be heard. I also went into Trans activism and the people that think they're the deciders of what is and isn't acceptable, who also usually end up being White. Overall, I think I made my point and am posting it because I think I bring up a lot of stuff we as a community, if that's really what we are, need to address eventually. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to some feedback.
