Happy New Year Househeads!
It's been 11 months since my last Podcast, which funnily enough is the same age as my son, I hope to be back on track with regular mixes from here on in, but please also remember to use the Tunein radio app to listen to our (House Your Soul Sydney) live weekly show on Bondi Beach Radio. Every Thursday 6pm-8pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time - (7am-9am GMT) for regular doses of everything that we love about underground House music.
This mix has a lovely Dutch tinge to it, lots of new tracks, and a sprinkling of older tunes for good measure, regular listeners will be aware that there is always a dirty bassline lurking in the tracks I play. Hope you enjoy, and till next time.

What would a Deep House tune sound like if it were played by a 64 piece live orchestra? This was a question I was able to answer on the weekly House Your Soul (HYS) show on Bondi 88FM on 12th December with HYS resident Mr-X. Unfortunately, gremlins in the studio meant our recording did not come of, so I have compiled the playlist again, for listening at your leisure.
This mix is eclectic and features artists I believe bring some originality to the world of House music, and covers Deep Tech and House quite nicely, with some beautiful bass drops as a constant. It ends with German producer Stimming, and his original mix of November morning, from earlier in 2012, and he then has it reinterpreted now by the Brandenburg State Orchestra. Haunting stuff, and I think it shows just how diverse our beautiful genre of music is. The House Your Soul boys play every Wednesday evening 6-8PM, Australian East time, 7-9AM London time, and constantly bring innovative music material to your ears, as shown by the House music DJ legend's they get to perform out here in Sydney throughout the year.

Greetings House family,the tracklist is below and it's all about beginning with the Soul in this mix with some lovely gems thrown in the mix. I begin with Storm Queen's new one, club remix of 'Let's make Mistakes' before a tune by Italy's Luciano Garofalo which, quite frankly, is beautifully Detroit. Black Sauce's 'Abigail' get's a rewiring that works for me before I flip back to a tune by Avi Elman & Danny J feat. Nuwella that has simply been stuck in my head from late last year, 'What's the Point'. Mr Beatnik's Dub of 'Love Cannot' set's the scene for HT Zero's creeper tune 'I Used to No More'- creeper tune because obviously I liked it when I first heard it, but it's one of those tunes whose lyrics and melody will stick in your brain, love it. Nicholas then takes us to a Deeper level with 'All I can Give', and J Kar continues the thread of Deepness which is twisted more by the X-Press 2 Remix of 'Runnin'. The veteran Tony Lionni then hits us up with one of two mixes I've selected from his album sampler. Nick Harris then hits us with a sweet vocal (so much more of this around at the moment) 'Situation' before Yass's beautiful remix of Rocco's tune 'Working Hard', his influence is unmistakable. One of Melbourne's (Australia) favourite son's Nathan G. highlight's his Berlin influence with a genuine gem 'Loop with me'- one of my favs. Two hitters by Tony Lionni & Slok follow before Mr. Kavalicious represents with 'In the Mood'. Then for the final two cuts 'What You Afraid Of (DJ Spen & Thommy Davis Disco Party Mix) ' and the DJ Spinna reinterpretation of 'Faith' close things of Proper. Greetings House Family, this episode has Deep depths for the Soul, the tunes are all fresh and there are a couple of remade genuine House classics thrown in for good measure for your aural pleasure. I've started lift of relatively gently with a beautiful instrumental from Malbetrieb & Rik Woldring before moving onto a lovely mix from the Tribe label, they've used a Folk song from the group The Steals and added their special ingredients for a House market, the mix I have selected is from Shur-I-Kan, reliable as always. Then it's picking up the dirty bass rhythm with Damiano Von Erckert, before a hip swayer from UGLH and the Cosmic Cowboys before a gem of a tune from Iceland's Trevor Deep Jr. Then onto the tune from Hector Couto & Santi Garcia feat. Pablo Fierro that's hitting the top of the Deep House chart, but the remix I have been feeling is the Jerry K one, think it's definitely special. A.N.I.C.E. and Julio Bashmore take no prisoners with their two wicked wicked tunes before the Rick Wade Melodic mix of P.Lopez's About You, so feeling the beats in this one which is only enhanced by the Jill Scott lyric sample towards the end, can't get enough of it. Then it's something that on paper shouldn't work (you don't mess with House classics) but actually does, A DJ Deep Inside- Dino Lenny vs. Hardsoul remixed by Shadow Child (Dave Spoon) kicks ass and this continues with Space & Mambo resident DJ Jason Bye rejigging one of the first House tunes that blew my mind House Nation, bought up to date for the 21st century and feeling it. Some South African deepness from Luka tidies things before we re-enter the Deep pits with killer tunes from Bert Brown, Ben Rau and finally Dirty Channels & Bugsy feat. Amina. I've ended this mix completely leftfield, with a Nu Disco tune that says a lot about life, a very famous Smokey Robinson cover beautifully done by the Dublin Aunts and remixed by favourites of mine: Drop Out Orchestra. Foot stomping and hip shaking from the go with this one, building that rhythm with Jay Haze before launching into Silicone soul, then it's the first of 3 from the genre defying Jamie Jones and his outstanding 'Tales from the Crypt' EP. Jay Shepheard provides a moving instrumental before Spain's Roberto Palmero's work of "Tell You", Jamie Jone's steps in with 'Somewhere" - love his box of tricks towards the end of this track- before we feel the groove of Alex Galvan, Bristol in England is then represented by the up and coming Manner City, Heavy remix by Topper- definitely one of my faves, before Jamie sets the scene again with Tonight in Tokyo, another English gem from Liverpool's James Silk, definitely looking forward to hearing more of his work- Shonky then gets a Martinez Brothers remix workout and damn it's powerful, then a tune I've had for a little while and now seemed as good a time as any to add to this mix Pirahnahead's "Dancing feels Like" with the vocals of Stephanie Goddes will get any dancefloor elevated in rhythm. I then put up a Lovebirds tune remixed by Kreon in 2008 as to me it has not dated one piece. The final piece in this Deep House jigsaw is thanks to George Kristopher from House Your Soul (Sydney) for highlighting to me a delightful gem from the man that is Arnold Jarvis "Dance" from the outstanding "Just Say It" EP, can't get enough of this one.
