DR SANDRA SPEER

As a survivor of almost a lifetime of most forms of abuse, I pledged to use all that I learn in life to help others one day.  At that time, I was 17 with little knowledge of who my actual abusers were or how severely they had hurt me.  At that time, I only thought I was suffering from childhood rape. With God as my only guide, I survived the many threats to my life and physical health.  Today, as a survivor, I ask God to continue to watch over me and give me the strength to continue overcoming chronic illnesses and injuries to reach my life's goal of helping survivors of trauma.

On February 20, 2018, I was thrown out of my protected world to realize that my mother had emotionally and physically abused me since birth.  I had dissociated most of my life.  I will define dissociation and explain why it protects many victims.    On that day in 2018, she chose to beat me with no mercy.  Again, God was guiding my way because I knew not to retaliate.  Often, reactive abuse causes many victims to become blamed for the abuse.  No abuser is worth a jail sentence or further injury of any type.  Today, I share with survivors valuable recovery techniques that help them become strong enough within themselves to not react to their abusers.

Because I was also emotionally abused and neglected by my father, a Child/Family Psychologist(Therapist), I understand how abusive practitioners can be toward victims and survivors.  The practitioners who I am referring to include attorneys, judges, medical doctors, etc.  There is such a thing as Legal/System Abuse Syndrome, which exhibits the same symptoms as PTSD, which develops from being abused by practitioners that a survivor turns to for assistance. A) Initially, I will talk about the symptoms and why the syndrome occurs B) The talk regarding the syndrome will lead into the discussion of Parental Alienation (PA).

I will:

define PA talk about the symptoms of PA in children why PA is misinterpreted why so many high conflict divorces that include children are intertwined with PA what tends to cause wrong PA rulings in the courts Yes, it is possible to win, and I will discuss some of the ways of winning The next segment of my discussion will detail how people are treated if they fall under review of a Department of Children & Families (DCF) Why are so many children wrongly taken from their parents Yes, the system can be coped with-Parents can be reunited with their children Last but not least, I will talk about what a person, even if they are a survivor, can do to ensure not partnering with an abuser. What are the red flags How do you become strong enough to cope if you do have to walk away from an abuser Anyone can become brainwashed by an abuser, which is why you should educate yourself

In closing, I want to say that I am living the dreams that carried me through the years.  As a Legal Advocate, not an attorney, I work with my clients throughout their cases until they win.   I assist with whatever it takes to achieve our goals.  Because I am not an attorney, there are no legal limits to whom I can approach for assistance.  I also help my clients emotionally become strong enough to fight their abuser without becoming accused of being a Narcissist or Parent Alienator. As a Life Coach, I offer "Unstick Yourself" seminars, workshops, and individual coaching.  I have 30+ years working with Domestic Violence (DV) coupled with a Ph.D., being a published author, motivational speaker, and ex broadcaster.  And, possibly the most important part of my past is that I am a survivor of almost all forms of abuse from birth. I understand what my clients are experiencing.

On March 5th, 2021 FAN-PAC of New Jersey (www.fanpacnj.org/donate) held a legal symposium followed by a question and answer session with Attorney Steven M. Resnick, Esq., a partner at Ziegler, Resnick & Epstein. He is a matrimonial and family lawyer and one of New Jersey’s trailblazing practitioners in custody matters and the area of parental alienation.

A highly skilled litigator, Mr. Resnick handles all aspects of matrimonial and family law relating to divorce, equitable distribution, palimony, annulment, high net worth, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, business valuations, real estate, domestic violence, custody and visitation, paternity, estate/will contests, judgment/agreement modification, appeals, N.J. Supreme Court maters, trial, and case second opinions, among others. Mr. Resnick has also served as co-counsel for numerous out-of-state matters.

Mr. Resnick recently broke new legal ground in New Jersey on the subject of parental alienation and has argued before the Appellate Division of New Jersey and New Jersey Supreme Court on many other matrimonial and family law issues, as well.

Below are the questions from the Q&A period. If you have a question about this event please reach out to joeg@savingfatherhood.org. If you are interested in learning more about FAN PAC or supporting their efforts please use the following links. https://www.fanpacnj.org/donate

My case and many others in New Jersey would indicate the family court system has failed to meet its obligation as noted in 9:2-4, 'The Legislature finds and declares that it is in the public policy of this State to assure minor children of frequent and continuing contact with both parents after the parents have separated or dissolved their marriage and that it is in the public interest to encourage parents to share the rights and responsibilities of child rearing'

In your opinion, is the family court functioning as it should in high conflict custody cases?

If so please discuss how?  If not, what does the system need to meet this objective?

It cost me $230k in legal fees to defend my right and obligation to maintain a relationship and support my children.  Once the money ran out so did my lawyer.  Is a lawyers job only to vigorously defend me when there is money?

What are the professional conflicts a family law attorney must weigh?  Is a lawyer an officer of the court first? Then represent their clients interests?

Do family court judges have too much discretion? How can I get a court order enforced? I have been trying to for years but, they run me around in an expensive circle.

Can you sue the court /judge for PTSD Associated with alienation and numerous years of abuse during trial?

"January 1, 2018 my ex and I are divorced (vanilla - almost 50/50 & no mention of abuse). June, 2018 my ex is interviewed. The night prior, I am told by our son; ""Dad, you would lie if it meant more money for your family, right?""My ex received $10k to say ""I abused her and my kids"".

I have a liable/slander case against the corporation whom paid her and posted my kids pics on their website. My question: when & if my ex or my kids claim ""abuse""; isn't that perjury as she is going directly against the court case she file and agreed upon in our divorce/custody case? "

Parties commit perjury. Attorneys conspire with the other side. Judges ignore the law. People injured by this conduct have no remedy, because it's all "absolutely privileged". If you even TRY to sue somebody for this stuff, YOU will be sanctioned severely. The predictable result is relentless dishonesty in every single case of which I am aware, which cases number in the dozens. Mr. Resnick, isn't placing wrongdoers above the law the problem here?

"Your bio reads that you “recently broke new legal ground in New Jersey on the subject of parental alienation and has a...

THIRD ANNOUNCEMENT

Clean Law Union Podcast –

A NEW PODCAST

HOST – JOE GORMLEY

https://www.cleanlawunion.com/shows

I meet many alienated parents and victims of broken families and they all ask the same question.  They say “How long, oh Lord”?  But they leave out the Lord part.  “How long, oh Lord” is a common question in the psalms and all over scripture –

Psalm 13:1, 79:5, 89:46, 94:3, 6:3, 35:17, and there are many more places in scripture lamenting the same desire for rescue from many things.  I think the cry from broken families is best described in Psalm 94:3 which says            3       O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult?

But who are the wicked?  Who are we calling upon the Lord to crush on our behalf?  Is it our ex-wife or husband?  Is it the person we are still married to who is dragging us through the courts?   Is it a judge, an attorney or a psychologist, that we blame for our problems?  Is it a politician or a political party that deserves our wrath and by extension, God’s wrath?  We may reason that if God were just he would promptly strike down our enemies because of their ongoing, unrepentant sin. The problem with these theories is it ignores what Scripture teaches us about sin, God’s holiness, and how he handles evil.  There is no doubt that the alienated parent’s cause is just.  When the alienated parent cries out because their child has been taken from them either physically or emotionally it is not a cry that goes unheard by our creator.  When scripture asks “How long, oh Lord”?  the assumption is never that God doesn’t hear these cries, nor is he ambivalent.  The question is when will this sin be punished?  When will justice prevail?

Do you believe this is true?  Do you believe that God is just and he has a plan to destroy evil?  Or do you still wonder if this is true?  Do you doubt God’s love or his control of the situation?  These are the two most important things, and they are often the biggest reasons for doubt.  God loves you and he’s in complete control.  Don’t worry, he’s got this.

But if he’s in control, capable, completely sovereign over all creation, you may ask then, why?  Why doesn’t he crush all that is evil right now?  Why does he wait?

Because of the second premise.  He loves you.  And you are evil. Christians know this is true, King David who wrote most of the psalms knew this was true.  He had no doubt that he was guilty of evil acts, but God loved his repentant heart.  He cherished this man who struggled with his sin and called out for forgiveness.  God does not crush all evil because he is waitin...

About today's guest Aaron WempleAaron W. Wemple is an author, social entrepreneur at Clean Law, and co-founder of CLU family trial research and support group.

As an entrepreneur, Aaron’s venture Clean Law started off with the dream of every child having a family. So, his team went to work developing a safer private network (SPN), which includes a child safety file system, or what’s called Family Law 2.0. And to accomplish the goal of every child having a family, the company donates all proceeds from product licensing Family Law 2.0 to CLU parents who are in desperate need of a right to be represented in classical family law courts when they are indigent, a right to bail policy when accusations are made, and encouragement to bear their own family sustainability crosses. Especially when they’re unwillingly involved in decades of divorce protocols. Clean Law provides a safer experience for families through military deployments, quarantines, divorce, and other life-altering trials.

Clean Law is grateful for many achievements, including:

On the back of my Saving Fatherhood business cards is the verse Genesis 50:20. It’s a great verse for anyone who has suffered and wondered, "has God abandoned me?". We all need hope, especially when trials are long. We pray for God to lighten our burdens and if we look for comfort everywhere. Sometimes it may be easier to accept the idea that God is punishing us. But that’s not necessarily true. Sure when we sin we may be choosing to inflict suffering upon ourselves but God is merciful and long suffering. He gives us warnings to stay away from sin to help us not to suffer. But as the sovereign Lord of all creation he certainly could step in but sometimes he doesn’t. Reading about the story of Joseph in Genesis 50:20 points us to an instance when God used suffering for good. The verse reads:

20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[a] should be kept alive, as they are today.

This is the story of Joseph and the trials he had to go thru were significant. First his brothers tried to kill him but they decided to spare his life when one of the brothers suggested profiting off of Joseph by selling him into slavery. As a slave he was falsely accused of trying to rape his Master’s wife. So off to prison he went. He spent at least 2 years in prison and another 11 years in slavery. But God did rescue him and without ruining the story he became a very powerful man in Egypt. When famine came throughout the region his brothers came to buy food and Joseph was there to meet them, in a position to help them or deny them. Joseph saw God’s hand at work to help his family to survive.

That’s when Joseph said what is written in Genesis 50:20 to his brothers.

20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people[a] should be kept alive, as they are today.

Now it was not easy for Joseph. You need to read the details. He struggled with anger and bitterness, but He knew that God is sovereign and faithful. Now while we don’t always see what God is doing we can trust that he’s doing something. As I look at this current crisis, I see a lot of other people suffering because they lost their rights. I wonder if the tyranny people are experiencing will be used for good. Will this tyranny bring compassion for family court victims?

Last Tuesday on April 28th, 2002 I drove north to Trenton, NJ to participate in a rally outside of the Trenton War Memorial Building. The event coincided with Governor Phil Murphy’s address to the state. After that rally and another rally, King Murphy decided to open up some state parks, beaches and golf courses but they he changed his mind and closed some as well. There is also another rally tomorrow

Now my intention was not just to be a protestor although I feel very strongly that we need to open New Jersey immediately. If you are a family court victim fighting for your rights I can’t understand why you would not support freedom unless you are scared, and as a Christian I realize I need to respect your views while I make cogent arguments to persuade you that we can’t love our neighbor by trying to control our neighbors. My intention was to interview other protestors to find out what they know about family courts and to help these people realize that before New Jersey took their Constitutional Rights they practiced on Family Court Victims.I understand that I may lose some of you that are passionate about keeping everyone at home. You may have a legitimate fear that could be out of compassion for a loved one who is high risk. So please don’t hear what I’m not saying. We need to care for those people who are high risk.Regardless, our fears do not allow us to violate the rights of others. Our fears do not allow us to prevent others from exerci...

You may remember Zach Hoffer from Episode 4. We talked about his daughters on that episode. He was alienated from two and the third was murdered. Zach's a warrior on the parental alienation and family court scene. In this episode we'll talk about his unique ability to be able to compare the loss of a child to parental alienation with the loss of a child to death. We don't start out that deep and I hope you listen all the way to the end because Zach has fantastic news to share towards the end that will encourage all alienated parents. If you're wondering if he was able to break thru to his alienated daughters, well you'll just have to listen to find out. He may just have the secret sauce when it comes to breaking the bonds of parental alienation. In fact I know he does. Of course we talk a bit about Corona virus because it's all the rage. We discuss how there may be more compassion for family court victims who have their Constitutional rights violated since so many people are having their rights violated during this medical crisis. Of course we always want to discuss what God is doing, what he's calling us to do, how can we or should we respond to his call? Join us now for another episode of Saving Fatherhood.(The picture above is of Zach in the Senate shuttle that runs between the Senate and the House of Representatives underground. We were lucky to grab that shuttle on our way to meet Senator Melendez' staff. A very nice intern helped us catch a ride.)

We mentioned a couple of resources and a lot of scripture. Here's a link to the video training on the Constitution from KrisAnne Hall that we discussed. The big question we want to unpack is, will the recent violation of Constitutional rights have any impact on Family Courts? Will they believe us when we tell them they violate every amendment except the 3rd? Will they bother to learn what that means?

If you already understand how cruel parental alienation can be on a parent you'll appreciate the tenacity of Bill Wojenski. If you don't yet know parental alienation is one of the most gut wrenching, heart breaking experiences a parent can face. In many cases your child acts as though you are dead to them although they are not. That scenario didn't stop Bill Wojenski from fighting to see his daughters every weekend for 4 hours via supervised visitation for the last 10 years. There were many other hurdles that you can read about in the letter below. This letter was also read on the podcast. The letter was mailed to Dr. Phil about a week ago.

2-21-2020

Dear Dr Phil, I am writing you on the suggestion of several female friends of mine who are quite familiar with my case. This started in late 2010 when my fiancé of 7 years walked out on me for another man. At that time the girls were 2 weeks shy of their third birthday. She stated right up front that I would never see my girls again and has devoted her life to that.

I filled and received joint custody; neither of us was to move out of state. Several years later she moved 3 hours away to upstate PA, the courts never did anything about that to this day.

At the age of 4, at the request of the girls I filed for and won overnight visits with my girls. After court, on the same day, she marched the girls into DYFUS and accused me of molesting them. DYFUS ran with this and it took me years to get a “no Finding” (no cause to or reason to pursue) verdict.

Eventually the courts assigned a reunification therapist to bring the girls back into my life. She sabotaged all efforts and when I was to meet the girls for the first time in 5 years it was a disaster.  They went from hanging by daddy’s side, never wanting to be away from me to terrified at the sight of me. They screamed when they first saw me and I could hear the mothers sister say “Don’t worry; we won’t let him hurt you”. Obviously the girls were brain washed in those 5 years of separation.  The visit was cut short after it was obvious it wasn’t going to work. There were numerous reports to the courts about the mother from the reunification Doctor.

Later it was determined that I could have supervised visitations, supervised at my request, and we started doing that supervised by a Doctor every Saturday for 4 hours. It started out ok and continued on for over two years. It progressed at a downward spiral until it was deemed appropriate to cancel further visits by the Doctor. His reports to the courts were very positive of me and very damming of the mother’s attitude and behavior. When the girls found out that there brother, my son, William Wojenski JR had passed at the age of 22, they said to me “One less Wojenski in the world is a good thing”. They were 11 at that time. The Doctor heard them say that to me and reported it to the courts.

I am still in a battle to help my girls. We have been through 6 judges; there is no continuity in this case. I have another hearing coming up in about two weeks. I’m not sure if this will gain either my girls or I any movement forward. In November when they turn 14 they can and will at the direction of the mother tell the judge that they no longer want to see me. At that point I will never have contact with them again.

I have no communication with the girls; don’t have access to the schools, the doctors or treatments and anything else that I should be entitled to despite having joint custody.

The mother from what I have been told is having them treated for Post Traumatic Distress and moves them from Doctor to Doctor looking for a finding that they have been abused.

I have been railroaded and my poor girls have been horribly abused by the system. This is not uncommon in the state of NJ, what is uncommon is my steadfast refusal to give up on them. My girls did not choose to come into this world, but it is my job to see that they have a loving childhood and

SaveJames or SaveJames.com - This hashtag went viral last night. And with good reason. James needs to be saved. James is a 7 year old boy who has been trying to survive the reality of living with two divorced parents. Sadly we all know this is not uncommon in our culture. When parents can't get along we know the consequences can be devastating for children. Many of us who have experienced parental alienation can relate to the problems our children suffer with. In this situation James has an additional problem. A problem that could be irreversible. His Mother thinks he needs to have surgery to become a girl because she says he is transgender. His Father says that he only acts like a girl in front of his mother and he rejects being a boy in front of his Father. The father, Jeff Younger is trying to prevent his son from being chemically castrated. Mr. Younger has been struggling just to get his seven year old son a second medical opinion. After the recording of this episode but before we posted it we received a glimmer of hope. The Governor of Texas Greg Abbott tweeted out the following message.

On our last episode we previewed the Symposium Organizing Committee. This organization brings together government and non-governmental entities looking to make a statement in the culture that fatherhood matters. We couldn't agree more so we wanted to be a part of this. It was an honor and a privileged to take part in this two day event and Saving Fatherhood looks forward to working with several of the attendees in the near future.

In this episode, Chris DeVol, parental rights advocate, alienated Dad, and ambassador for the Erasing Family movie among other things, comes on the show to discuss what happened at the SOC convening and what it means for Fatherhood in Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas.

No fault divorce was proposed by some to make divorce easier and less burdensome. Instead it has removed accountability and created the unilateral divorce where a covenant agreement can be broken by one person regardless of the opinion of the other person who was involved in the original agreement. Is this fair? Does it help society? Is it harming society? Is it constitutional? On tonight's episode of "Saving Fatherhood", well known YouTube Video personality Jeff Morgan comes on the show to share why No-Fault divorce is one of if not the biggest issue causing broken families in America today. You can watch Jeff's videos at the link below. He has almost 500 of them. https://www.youtube.com/user/jeffinjordan/videos

I usually know what I'm going to call an episode before we record it.  There were several good options before interviewing Michael S. Sayen about his book, "The Cure for Divorce In the Kingdom of God".  Usually I just slap up the book cover for the author but not this time.  His inspiration for writing the book was compelling.  As a Christian going thru divorce he wanted to know how God viewed divorce.  He wanted to be obedient to God's word and he took that seriously. Even more compelling was the punishment he received for writing about God's word.  Sadly no good deed goes unpunished in family court.  His desire to honor and obey God by seeking his will to see if he had biblical grounds for a divorce ended up costing him his child.  On today's episode we'll review his book but we'll also hear the horrific details about how Michael's book was used as an weapon to keep him from his child.  Michael S. Sayen lost his God-given right to be a parent because he is a Christian.

3RD PARTY BOOK REVIEWS

"You have written an excellent explanation of Biblical marriage. Every pastor should read this and give it to every couple before marriage." - Bill Gothard (BillGothard.com)

"Sometimes it seems that the Church is as confused as the Pharisees regarding the matter of divorce. Here is a great study on what the Bible actually says including what Jesus taught." - Dr. James R. Russom, DMin. (Nazarene Bible College) Director Pastoral Ministries Programs

"This book is well written; the academic prose should not put anyone off, as this is a serious subject matter. I found the discussion helpful and the conclusions are put forward respectfully and with further discussion in mind. Recommended!" - Rev. Robert Saler Ph.D (Christian Theological Seminary) Executive Director of the Center for Pastoral Excellence

"Do Christians get a divorce and remarry? What does the Bible say about divorce and remarriage? This is a must read for those seeking clarity for this perplexing question." - Dr. Larry Cornine (Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) Associate Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling

"I have been working through your book for the last couple of hours, and I am impressed with the effort that you have expended.  This is an issue where I have not done a lot of work, so I don't feel qualified to make judgment calls about some of your points.  But all in all, it's a careful work and worthy of consideration." - Dr. John Bechtle (The Ezra Project) Experienced Professor and Writer

"I thought it was especially relevant to emphasize how counter-cultural the Biblical view of marriage would have been to the Gentiles as the Judeo-Christian ethic challenged their assumptions and practices.  It seems to me that this background is vital to interpreting Paul's teachings on marriage and divorce. I agree with your analysis of Matthew and Mark's accounts of Jesus' teaching on divorce and adultery particularly as it addresses the exception clause question. I also agree that you have correctly analyzed Paul's teaching in the relevant Corinthian passages." - M.Div. Ronnie J. Woolard (Mid~Atlantic Christian University) Professor of Bible

"I could find no theological errors in your work, and your reasoning from scripture seems ironclad, however there must be room for grace and forgiveness for past sins." - Dr. William Watson (Colorado Christian University) Professor of Global History

"I had the chance to read your paper more carefully. I have to say that you offer new insights to the question of divorce and remarriage." - Professor Alexandre Oliveros (Abilene Christian University) College of Biblical Studies

3 NEW INITIATIVES – ALL LOCALLY BASED IN NEW JERSEY

Support for Murray Sabrin (US Senate)

Murray Sabrin for US Senate (Libertarian)

Why? He is for limited government as defined in the US Constitution He is committed to walking us back to following the Constitution. He recognizes that things like the Family Court should not exist per the US Constitution We can develop that on another day – but we’d solve a lot of problems by following the US Constitution. He’s also a man of great character. His parents survived the Holocaust and his father fought against the Nazi’s in the Polish resistance.  I’m reading in Ecclesiastes right now how God uses these events to mold our character.  If you ever noticed people who have never suffered in their lives can become very self centered.  Never mistake suffering as inaction on God’s part.

FAN-PAC

SavingFatherhood is now getting more involved with FAN-PAC. In our last episode we interviewed Rafael Franco, the President of FAN-PAC.  I’ve looked for organizations in the Family Rights movement that I could support based on several criteria and this one has it all.

Effectiveness Mission Quality leadership / Rafael is a Godly man that seeks Gods will in everything he does.

FAN-PAC has been very effective getting Republican and Democratic Sponsors for the 50/50 shared parenting bill. This bill needs your help.

We will be hosting multiple letter writing campaigns. FAN-PAC meets with various NJ State Assemblymen and NJ State Senators every week and they all ask the same thing. I need letters. Follow the link to find your NJ representatives. Write a letter and let us know that you sent one in. Post on savingfatherhood.org in the show comments, on facebook, twitter, whatever you like. Keep posted here for future letter writing events. There is nothing more powerful. If you want to send money in we will probably spend it on writing letters and meeting campaigns.

SPEAKW

SAVING FATHERHOOD will be hosting/ leading a Burlington County SPEAKW group.  This is a parental alienation support group that we are going to be starting in September.  If you live in Burlington or Camden county NJ it will be close to you.  I live in Mercer County so its not too far from there to attend either.

If you don’t know SPEAKW.org it was formed by Monica Giglio who is well known in the family rights movement as the Parental Alienation Survival coach. She’s an author and two of her books are on Parental Alienation. Additionally, she’s the author of the curriculum we’ll be using for the SPEAKW support group. If you’re someone struggling with any phase of parental alienation you should come out.

You may be separated, divorced or somewhere in-between. You may be involved in parenting challenges of any kind with your spouse. You may just want to prevent alienation, or you may be completely estranged from your child or you are working thru the reunification process. Many of us haven’t seen our children in years and many m...

Revising New Jersey’s Children Custody Law is in the Our Children’s Best Interest

There is not greater gift we can give our children than our time. New Jersey’s Children need us to use our collective VOICES and ensure our laws provide for equal access to both parents regardless of family structure. FAN-PAC in New Jersey is dedicated to giving our children a voice in the Family Courts

Let's get started

Bill A1091 & S273 revise the current laws governing both legal and physical custody of children when their parents separate. These bills provide clear guidance to the family court that our children are not leverage in litigation. By passing this law, our children will enjoy the benefits of the full love, nurturing, guidance, support and affection of two loving parents. It is time that our laws reflect a modern society where the family structures are different than they were when the current law was adopted. This law encourages parents to cooperate from the outset reducing the emotional strain on our children when parents separate. Let’s work together to ensure our children are free to love both parents.

This campaign has gained tremendous bi-partisan support in the legislature, however the hard work lies ahead. We need your Voice to be heard; join us, Make a Contribution, get involved. Doing nothing is no longer an option. Help us as we continue advocating for our children. Learn how this legislation will transform the childhood experience of thousands of New Jersey’s children every year. New Jersey has many children but none to spare

FAN-PAC

FAN-PAC is an organization established to represent the interests of the New Jersey voters and to advance these interests by advocating for policies, legislation and legislators that reflect FAN-PACs mission. This mission is to ADVOCATE for our children in family court matters, EDUCATE the participants in the family court system regarding the impact separation of parents has on children. And this impact on child development. FAN-PAC is also committed to INSPIRE this generation to be the next great generation while ensuring their voices are heard in the family court.

09 Episode 09 Norman Weistuch Ph.D. talks about CPS and other Government failures. These are issues discussed in his book titled, A Kid From The Bronx.

Powerful quotes From Dr. Weistuch's book relevant to this week's Podcast.

Pg. 40 "Part of this resistance is repeated experiences with Child Protective Services which is out to monitor and not assist the people they are responsible for."

Pg. 88 “they (Child Protective Services) have caused further delay in reunification (between parents and children) or worse, created a paper trail to bolster a request to terminate parental rights for parents whose identified needs were simply incorrect."

Pg. 91 – “Kids are often more traumatized by the placement process and the belief that their parents don’t love them than the process could be if the child had remained at home with effective services."

Matt Riccardi has distinguished himself as a unique candidate in the race for NJ's Governor. He is the only pro life candidate in NJ. It seems unbelievable that at least one of the two "big" parties wouldn't have a pro life candidate but as Matt explains it goes much deeper than that. Matt explains how he's really the only candidate that cares about the Constitution. Saving Fatherhood is a big fan of the Constitution and we need all politicians to start following it. We would especially appreciate if the Constitution was followed when it came to family law. And that would mean eliminating the family court system that is splitting families apart daily.

Can Matt Riccardi take the NJ Governor race? If there was a year it could be done it is now. What would following the Constitution actually mean for New Jersey? What would it mean for NJ families? Find out. Click on the media player above.

I've labeled this episode in the "Due Process" category. 50/50 Parenting is really about making sure that the rights of the child are protected. We could have put it into another category but this is really where it belongs. All children have a right to equal access to the parents God gave them.  The question then becomes when is is appropriate for the Government to step in?  I believe our Constitution would make that a very high bar.  Assemblyman Erik Peterson comes on the show tonight to discuss his bill.  This is a bill that would again make that a very high bar.  While it is still early in the process we are praying for this to be a win for the children of divorced parents in New Jersey.

If you believe that a child should have equal access to both parents... If you have seen parental alienation happen when one parent has monopolistic control of the children... If you know about the devastation that has happened in America due to Fatherlessness (and Motherlessness)...

Please listen to the episode below to get more information and then WRITE YOUR NJ ASSEMBLYMEN, AND NJ SENATORS AND ANYONE ELSE WHO CAN INFLUENCE THIS PROCESS.

Erik discusses on the podcast the power of the handwritten letter. Below are links to find the NJ politicians serving your area. If you live outside of NJ and your state is not seeking a 50/50 shared parenting bill share this podcast with them.

Saving Fatherhood is proud to introduce Patrick Pursley and his publicist Jasmine Guidance who is herself an alienated Mom.

PRESS RELEASE IAMKIDCULTURE PRESS RELEASE- AUGUST 16, 2017 To: All Media Outlets From: Jasmine Guidance Email: jasmine.guidance@gmail.com

August 16, 2017 My name is Patrick Pursley. I was wrongly convicted of a crime I didn't do and had my life-long judicial sentence overturned in April after doing 23 years. While in prison, I wrote an article that set a legal precedent and became a law and my case is currently receiving national media attention, including a Washington Post article written by Ivan Moreno, dated August 8th and 9th, 2017. This story was ran in various media outlets from coast to coast by The New York Times, Washington Post, Rock Register Star, and other print media sources. Since my release, I am presently out on bond in Rockford, Illinois. I am currently launching: Iamkidculture.org, which is being built as a 501(c3) as a not-for profit organization. While in prison. I attended college-level classes and have received letters of support from college professors who have written to my judge on my behalf. These colleges include De Paul University, Northwestern University, Loyola University and Northeastern University. The alternative curriculum I developed for at-risk urban youth has been used in some Chicago high schools, middle schools, at-youth risk programs, and gang-peace circles. This alternative curriculum which I have developed and am currently launching is intended to bring young people to understand the value of their own lives, and understand the importance of taking the right path in life which impact their trajectories. Iamkidculture.org is launching the website and my first book, which is available both on the iamkidculture.org website and is also on amazon.com titled, "Adventures of Kid Culture and The World Explorers: In the Queen's Chamber", which is the urban version of Harry Potter. We are giving away $2,017.00 in back to school packages or in the form of grants to at-risk youth that are enrolled in school for every 2017 copy of the book sold in print or as an e-book format. We are also launching a contest giving away needed shoes to at-risk students. Our curriculum consists of Iamkidculture mini-lessons, topical newsletters, good law practice, social and restorative justice, ideals, symptoms of PTSD, self-diagnostic tests based on the DSM-5 edition guidelines, and a 12-step workbook for at-risk urban youth and gang members and we are currently doing a talent-search for positive and motivated artists nation-wide to package their talent and put them in the iamkidculture online.

Well you just listened to one of our first ON THE STREET interviews. We mentioned that would be part of our shows going forward. We’ve mostly done pre-arranged interviews…. These are with experts in some field or someone with a story to tell that has to do with….

Later in the show we’ll speak to a couple of random millennials hanging out at the mall about marriage, God and Mother’s Day.

But first…

Random thoughts and news for the week. News that impacts Families.

What I do when I don’t have a scheduled interview - I go out and interview random people - Check out the show notes – pic of me with my interview gear on. - Several weeks ago I spoke to some folks about motherhood on Mother’s day and we got into what makes a great marriage.

(insert Mothers Day Interview #1)

Commenting on second interview – talking about marriage – 1. Commitment vs Feelings 2. Love is not a feeling – it’s an action – a. Scripture – 1 Corinthians 13 b. http://biblehub.com/niv/1_corinthians/13.htm

  1. Lots of folks lose their marriage. And give up on it. Because the feeling is gone.
  2. That feeling can come back. Large parts of our society are having problems because they are ruled by feelings.

a. Drug addicts – ruled by feelings. b. Depressed? Have a pill – instead of dealing with your feelings we introduce you to the culture of drugs c. Bipolar? Mood swings – d. Narcissist – selfishness e. These are all sin issues. 5. The best title for a marriage book ever is Dave Harvey’s – When Sinners say I do. It’s a very good book. I think my favorite is Timothy Keller’s Marriage book but that’s mostly because I listen to his podcast a lot. Anyway – The Title is so good because it eliminates the false assumption that you’ve married the perfect person. You’ve married another person that struggles with sin just like you do. 6. I went to lots of marriage counseling and seminars and for the longest time I struggled with trying to fix me. I always wanted to fix my wife but that’s impossible. WE have to fix ourselves, humble ourselves. A lot of times we don’t want to deal with that. 7. I do have to say I keep meeting incredibly mature Christians in this Family Court Reform movement and I think a lot of them have been matured by the experience of family strife. 8. They have been matured by the refiner’s fire. a. Isaiah 48:10 ESV Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction. b. Proverbs 17:3 ESV The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the LORD tests hearts.

Talking to my buddy Jay the weekend about Jesus. Every stupid thing we do in this country is because we try to figure things out while we leave out the most important variable there is. Our creator. Seriously – Why do we have so many problems? Did you ever do algebra? If you want to figure out a + b = c its easy if you know two of the three variables. If you only know one its impossible. You can guess and you’ll come out correct, sometimes. Resources mentioned on today’s podcast –

SHOW NOTES - There is something special about show notes.  It's really what we meant to talk about.  Its not necessarily what we had time to discuss.  This episode ran long.  About 20 minutes longer than the hour we were targeting so there's lots of information here we didn't cover.MY INTRO – Welcome to the Saving Fatherhood Podcast.  This is our fourth episode and we’re finally interviewing a father.  We are recording on Father’s Day eve and we’ll be interviewing a father who has been alienated from all 3 of his daughters.  I wish I could report that the alienation is the worst part of Zach’s story.  It is not.  As a direct result of his alienation, Zach’s oldest daughter lost her life.  She was murdered.  Tonight you will hear her tell her story and Zach will tell his.  Our society needs to hear Zach’s story.  Zach is committed to sharing it.  His goal is preventing the evil that is caused by pathogenic parenting.  Zach is also an advocate for other reforms in the court system which we will talk about tonight.  Most importantly Zach has given his life to his lord and savior Jesus Christ.  I’m proud to welcome tonight’s special guest,  Zach Hoffer.

Recent Interview with Dr. Craig Childress on Mommy Interrupted https://www.facebook.com/mommyinterruptedradioshow/videos/1052972114833149/?pnref=story

1.       Zach in my introductory comments I mentioned that I don’t think our society has enough information about stories like yours.  Actually stories like Anjelica’s, your daughter.  I read the story you wrote on your website and I thought it was really powerful.  I’d like to ask you to read that to our audience.  But I’d first like to hear a little bit about her, who she was and what your relationship was like.

(5 min)

Anjelica was like a super hero.  She had special powers.  So smart and so athletic.  I really loved our time together.  She had a very trusting nature about her.  I remember when she was little, I would put her on top of the car and tell her to jump to me.  Then I would step back and no matter how far away I got, she trusted that I would catch her.  And I did.  We hiked mountains together.  We climbed rocks.  We mountain biked.  She was fearless.  I told her she could do it and she believed me.  One thing that stood out about her was her courageous heart.  She would face obstacles without concern for how silly she might look.  She just went straight ahead.  I remember her being the smallest on her basketball team, but never being afraid or shy.  Another thing that stood out about her was how great of a big sister she was.  She was like a little shepherd, always keeping the younger two in check.  She was very loving and had a great sense of humor.  We loved cooking together.  She got so good at softball that I could throw the ball to her almost as hard as I could, when she was 13.  She was an original.  She was my first daughter so everything with her was so cool, like teaching her to ride a bike or climb cliffs or to swim or play baseball.  I just loved it.  I really miss her.  None of my girls will ever be little again, but I really miss them when they were so little and precious and cute.  Now their precious and cute in a different way.

2.  Could you now read “My name is Anjelica.  This is my story. “

Q.  As a parental alienation survival coach I would really like for you to define parental alienation or pathogenic parenting for the audience assuming I know nothing about this.

A. PA is a slang term for a severe form of psychological abuse by an unhealthy parent that makes a child reject, hate, and fear a good, loving, emotionally available parent and entire side of the family.

Q. How common is PA?  Why don’t we hear more about it?

A. Family court attorneys tell me that it's present in varying degrees in most divorces with children. Parents are mostly adversarial in midst of divorce and some parents cannot stop themselves from triangulated the children into the adult conflict, coercing and demanding them to choose a side, while the other parent is saying things like "it's ok mommy and daddy are still a team and we both love you and want all good things for you". But triangulating a child into the adult conflict is not simply "badmouthing another parent" as many flippantly will say, it's often one of the first acts of psychological child abuse. Often it was already present in the marriage as it does occur in intact families. We most often see it expressed as a custody battle. Experts like Dr. Childress will tell you ITS NOT ABOUT CUSTODY. It's about abusing a child to hate another parent and entire side of family and toss them aside like trash, as the sick parent has done. I say sick parent because normal parents don't do this to a child.

Triangulating a child into parental conflict is abusive and leads to enmeshment, both are unhealthy and dangerous forms of boundary violation and are done without conscience. The child is drawn into a cross generational coalition against you; and are examples adultifying a child to validate their adult battle instead of being a parent who validate the needs and wants of the child.

So. It's very, very common in most divorces due to anything from immaturity and hurt feelings of parents that they eventually get over, to sever pathology where the parent just cannot stop themselves from making the child hate the other entire side of family and forcing them to love only them. The cases that escalate to this level of severity do not have a good prognosis.

You also asked why we don't hear more? Because of the severity of this abuse people don't like to hear about it. Their natural defense mechanism is to re-butt or rebuke a heartbroken parent and scold them that they either did something to contribute to it; or they could end it by sending their child more cards and letters of love. This is s defense mechanism to assimilate something so eerily unnatural they cannot stand hearing it and realizing it could happen to anyone including them.

Q.      PA is one of the biggest issues in the family court reform movement.  Where do you see positive change coming and where do you think more work needs to be done.

A. Change cones thru education and standardization in mental health diagnosis and treatment recommendations. I don't know if it's possible to stop a sick parent from attempting to abuse their child's mind, but I believe education can help therapists, lawyers, judges, and everyone who works with children and families to recognize how serious this is and can lead to early intervention of separating the child from a parent who induces them toward hated and skeptics may of their parent.

Q.     So we were both at the Dallas Symposium for Parental Alienation a...

Welcome to our very first podcast.  This episode is first because it lays out exactly what the goals are of the podcast.  You will hear what we're planning on talking about and to who.  We'll also explain how we're going to present information in various formats.  Most importantly we will explain why you should listen.

Sometimes we will have detailed show notes or links.  Because we are not interviewing anyone in this episode our show notes are quite extensive.  Sometime's we'll just have links to resources we reference on the show.

SHOW NOTES BELOW

Saving Fatherhood – My first job is to convince you there is a problem. The American Family is under attack. THE state of FATHERHOOD TODAY Before we talk about what’s causing Fatherlessness – I want to share some statistics about Fatherlessness and what it is doing to our families. A. FATHERLESSNESS Check out the statistics on savingfatherhood.org

a. 43% of US children live without their father b. 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes (US Dept. Of Health/Census) – 5 times the average. c. 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes – 32 times the average. d. 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes – 20 times the average. (Center for Disease Control) e. 80% of rapists with anger problems come from fatherless homes –14 times the average. (Justice & Behavior, Vol 14, p. 403-26) f. 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes – 9 times the average. (National Principals Association Report) g. Compared to living with both parents, living in a single-parent home doubles the risk that a child will suffer physical, emotional, or educational neglect.

B. What about the Father’s themselves that have lost their children? a. Are they all deadbeat Dads that don’t want to see their children? b. Men between the ages of 25 and 54 account for 44% of all suicides. We can’t tie this directly to divorce or loss of parental rights but I’ve heard lots of talk about the prevalence of suicide amongst Moms and Dads who lose their kids. c. On april 22nd the New York times reported that the overall suicide rate rose by 24 percent from 1999 to 2014. The suicide rate rose for middle aged women (ages 45 to 64) by 63 percent. For middle aged men – age 45 to 64 it rose 43%. d. If my identity wasn’t in Christ I could easily be one of those statistics. Our Mission

Saving Fatherhood from unjust laws, discrimination and Godlessness is not something we want to do. It is something we have to do. Godlessness is at the core of all wickedness that is destroying the idea of family in our culture. Family was God's idea. God made us in his image and to help us understand his love for us he uses our earthly understanding of a Father. Mission Statement Saving Fatherhood supports Christian families responding to the epidemic of fatherlessness in the courts, legislatures, churches and the public square. We promote awareness, strategic response and ministering to those in need with gospel based solutions. So what does Fatherhood need to be saved from. unjust laws, discrimination and Godlessness

Groups I want to speak to A. Christians who don’t know about the conflict in the Family Court System

a. To encourage them to get involved. b. Help them understand how this is impacting their church and their churches gospel mission. 1. The brokenness of our families has our pastors busy trying to put our broken lives back together again. I know because I’m one of those broken souls they spent so many hours on. 2. I’m amazed myself at the number of people I meet that have been touched by this. 3. I posted something on facebook today and found more people that have stories. A lot of what we’re going to do is to share those stories. c. Help them understand the pain and suffering going on in this realm. d. The battle in the family court system is part of a larger spiritual battle for Religious Freedom. 1.
