I'm returning to the podcast with one of the most remarkable people I've ever met. In this episode, you'll meet Breanna, a young woman with an interesting life story. Psychologists generally define "forgiveness" as a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or vengeance toward a person...sometimes that person who receives forgiveness needs to be you.

Recent times have shown us how important it is to have a support system. In this episode we'll discuss the importance of cultivating a solid community and how isolation can be harmful. Humans are wired for connection and our overall wellness is grateful for it.

My challenge for you in 2021 is to allow more ease into your life. At the start of each year, we usually set a long list of goals to meet, which leads to a ton of pressure. Allow yourself, and your mental state, to take a break. You deserve.

Simply put, trusting yourself is showing that you love yourself. Sometimes we go through things that cause us to doubt ourselves, which affects our mental health. You've got to get to a point where you're certain that nobody knows what's best for you other than...you.

We don't like when people tell us lies, but really, the biggest lies we are told come directly from ourselves. It's always "you vs. you". In this episode we explore some ways we lie to ourselves, how it affects us, and why we should stop.

Life is good, but sometimes it's not... and when it's not, we like to cry "woe is me". Instead of that, I'd like to challenge you to look a little deeper because there might be a lesson there for you to learn.

If you've taken a flight before, you've definitely heard the in-flight instructions that say "In the event of an emergency, put your oxygen mask on first before helping someone else". I like to think of oxygen masks as a symbol of taking care of ourselves.
We are taught a lot of things in life, but rarely are we taught how to take care of ourselves. If we do, we're sometimes called selfish and then a flood of guilt ensues.
In this episode, we discuss why you should put your oxygen mask on first, and why taking care of yourself isn't a bad thing.
