In this final episode of our podcast on Mental Illness, we look at interventions and the future of the health problem. We speak to guest speakers from leading health organisations to discuss the interventions and services which they provide as a way to support individuals and help spread the awareness of the issue. We have speakers from Mission Australia, Beyond Blue and Headspace as well as a visit from the founder of Puka up. We also speak to the principal of Melbourne All Saints about addressing school support, workplace support and the media.
So, do these organisations and interventions address the causes of the causes? We discuss with our guest speakers how well they think their organisation addresses this. Low socioeconomic status (SES) communities and misconceptions are also discussed to help us answer the question of what the future holds for mental illness. So, listen in to hear what our special guest speakers think about the future in terms of mental illness.
