It was God who, AFTER saying He was please in His Son Jesus, led Him into the wilderness to be tempted for 40 days and 40 nights at the hand of Satan!

Real Talk? My soul is very heavy. I had to push this prayer out because I NEEDED to get to Him. I believe it is just as important to go to God in prayer, when you don't know what to pray, but you KNOW you need to be in His presence!
That's what this episode is.

This prayer is for the parent(s) who KNOWS they tried to do EVERYTHING in their power to be a good, responsible, loving parent and their child(ren) have broken their heart.
This prayer is for the parent who looks at other NEW parents celebrating the life of their bundles of joy and grieve the loss of their child who IS LIVING but is addicted to drugs, alcohol, homeless, abusive and/or a violent criminals.
Let's go before God with our pain and allow Him to comfort, strengthen and fill our hearts with hope.
There is STILL life to live!

For TOO LONG, I have been afraid to say that out loud! When you have experienced so much hurt and pain, you can start to believe that happiness just isn't your lot.
But that is a LIE from the pit of hell!!!
Happiness, joy, contentment, laughter and goodness is FROM God!
I've had to endure MANY fights, fears and loss to gain this "happy" but I am so glad I endured and kept praying, kept crying out, kept fasting , kept worshipping corporately with my brothers/sisters in Christ and meditating on God's word!

If you haven't prayed for others, you really haven't prayed. Less talking, more believing, more praying, more loving. God is faithful and NEVER late!

Just when "things" seem to be falling apart, God reminds us that "it's" actually coming together! If Gideon didn't know His God, he would've thought He was setting him up for failure. To have your team of warriors reduced to a mere 300 and the enemy you are about to go into battle with is "thick as locusts and camels as numerous as the grains of sands..."Judges6, you would be scared to death!!! But our God says something VERY powerful as He continues to convince Gideon that He is "with him". He tells him that he will defeat his enemy, as if he were in a fight with only 1 person!!! WOW!!!
The fight is fixed. You have to face it. But you (we) are not alone.

Many, many, MANY times in life we do not know what life will bring us. The minute you have "mastered" one area in your life, along comes something (or someone) else that dismantles every thing you prayed and hoped for! THIS prayer is for the person who admits that she may not know the out come of what is making "its" way to her door step, BUT she does KNOW that her God, her Heavenly Father is ABLE!!!

The hard work REALLY begins, when you start facing the "giants" in your mind. Images, thoughts, reoccurring lies, unhealthy habits ALL have to be addressed with grace, resilience and prayer. Let us pray!
God placed beauty and grace in the souls of His daughters. We are joint heirs of the grace of life. And our tears, our hurts, our brokenness is a thing of beauty in the eyes of our Savior! Sometimes, you gotta get mad at the Devil for playing tricks with your mind and your faith and stop what you're doing and go to war! That's what this prayer is. Me going to war in prayer against the "things" that arise in my mind to distract me from the truth I KNOW!

There is REAL liberty in letting go and trusting God with who you REALLY are. When we learn to do that, graciously and patiently, we become fearless, bold and able to make decisions that are based on faith and NOT fear.
For MANY years I have sown into others thinking that would make them "like me" or "appove of me" but what it really did was, allow them to use, abuse and disrespect me. My kindness was taken for weakness and the very people I trusted began to have contempt for me.
Today, I take full responsibility for ALLOWING that to occur.
If you are still passing blame and/or playing the victim, this prayer ISN'T for you. But if you are humbly owning up to being insecure and allowing people to mistreat you because you felt like you needed their "validation", then bring your faith and join me in prayer!
We are not mad, we are changed and delivered!

Pray when things are going good. Pray when things have taken a turn for the worse. Pray when old habits and old ways start to peek out from the bushes and pray when you have made progress! We are overcomers! We are the head and not the tail! We are above and not beneath! Spend time with me in prayer before God and let's SMASH this week with His love, courage and impact!
Gone are the days when believers "name and claim" and shout "I receive it" and leave the church or small group bible study and do NOTHING to verify their faith! I believe EVERYTHING is now! Many of us may not have been good test takers in school. Fortunately for us, God has given us the cheat sheet! At ANY moment, day or time, you can "lift your heart to Him" in prayer and make your request, your grievance, your shame or your petitions known. So let's do that. I've been spending more time with God in prayer and throughout my day he speaks to my heart. I went into my prayer closet to share what He spoke. Let us pray!
When you need to pray the most, you will feel least like doing it. I've been praying 40 minutes a day for 27 days (going for 40 days) and I am spiritually exhausted! I am having ALL the feels as I sit with God in prayer. He is revealing, uncovering, chastening and reviving my heart. I'm pushing these prayers out because this is REALITY. In 2019, you are going to have to DO what you have been taught in the word of God. The enemy is fine with you saying the occasional "thank you Jesus" and "receiving" every good word that is posted on social media, but he (Satan) is SCARED TO DEATH when you start making time for prayer and believing Gods plan for your life, and nothing is really changing or moving...yet.

I pushed this prayer out! I know I've been MIA, but I've been under serious spiritual attacks. When the enemy sees he can't get to you, he will attack those you love. He showed up and I withstood him in prayer! I started a 40 day prayer journey (40 minutes of prayer for 40 consecutive days) and he showed up on day 1 wreaking havoc!!!
I'm on day 20. I'm exhausted physically but ENCOURAGED spiritually! That's why I said, I pushed this out. I almost didn't record it...but I want you to "see" that warfare isn't always pretty. Walking by faith, believing and declaring His word isn't always a "walk in the park". No, No, NO...I've been in the valley...and my God has remained FAITHFUL!!!

You know why fear is a liar? Because it originated with the father of lies, Satan! On this podcast, I share a very recent "fight" I engaged in, THIS MORNING in prayer, with the enemy of our souls! I believe the spirit of fear was broken off of my life, after living nearly 30yrs paralyzed by it, and I'm believing it can happen for you too!

Speaking honestly to God, accepting the "things" you can't change and being as productive and focused as possible to change the things you can change, will propel you into your best year yet!

I think there is this false belief that if you believe in God, you never struggle to forgive, love or repair relationships. The holiday season triggers a lot of emotions. Some good, some not so good. What do you do when you've been traumatized, ridiculed, lost a loved one and/or house in a natural disaster? How on earth do you find the mental/emotional band width to be grateful???

Many of us are historians. We remember everything that happened that was bad. We remember what we wore when it happened, where we were when they said it and some of us will physically get ourselves "worked up" behind "it". But when was the last time you gave yourself permission to grieve? to heal? to laugh? to let go and accept that you can't change it, but you can change YOU!
THAT'S who this prayer is for. The person who wants to give themselves permission to be free and LIVE!

Whoever has your affection has your heart. This prayer is for those who have been decieved by the lies and manipulation of Satan. Let's turn our hearts back to God, and watch Him work!

We want change, good health and a good life but we don't want to necessarily change in order to bring about that good life and health. We change jobs, the state we live in, our names, even our version of past events. But one thing is TRUE, you can ONLY BE who your heart says you are. Until you change your heart, wherever your go, you will run into you. I thank God that He allows us the opportunity to change! Change our perspective, our beliefs, our habits, our attitude...even our false perceptions of ourselves. We're not waiting for the new year to introduce change, we're praying for it NOW!
Out with the old an in with GOD!

Remind yourself of this truth as you walk around your house, when trouble knocks at your door, when the ones you love hurt you the most, as you lay down on your bed and cry yourself to sleep....OUR GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!

We know God can answer prayers. Many times He answers them long after we've stopped praying for and/or expecting them. But what is your mindset once the blessings start to flow? Are you still humble? teachable? Have you become a bigger a giver? How are you handling the "things" that come along with the blessings you ask for, well and with integrity? Let's pray about it. So that when God gives you your hearts desire, you can be trusted with MORE!
Don't let what you see, distract you from Who you know! Keep doing good. Keep helping others. Keep showing up and challenging your comfort zones! God has MORE for us....
Let Us Pray!
God has more in store for you. But it will require more OF you to achieve and receive it. So, don't walk away from what He has given you to do. "Its" suppose to be challenging and unfamiliar. Lean in and keep walking by faith!

I almost didn't record or post this time in prayer. But I believe it is our transparency before the Father in prayer that gets His attention. So, here is my offering in the midst of my hurt and disappointment. You may or may not like this prayer, BUT I think it is my best one yet!

Everyone wants to be a leader these days. At the very least, they assume leadership is a "cake walk" and that "they" can do "it" better. I believe you are a leader when you can lead from the middle, BEFORE you ever received the "title" leader. I also believe you become a GREAT leader, when you are able to become more Christ-like amongst the hardest of hearts God has sent you to lead!
Join me in prayer, as we petition God to make us into COURAGEOUS leaders!
I can not tell you how many times I allowed fear and opinions of others to discourage, confuse and talk me out of my God-given assignment! But what do you do when God KEEPS that "thing" heavy on your heart and won't allow you to put it down? You do what Moses and Esther and Mary and Debra and Paul did, you lean into God and trust!

On Saturday August 25th, Senior Pastor of Inland Hills Church Andrew Stoecklein committed suicide. His death prompted my heart to pray this prayer.
May his wife, family and church family/friends be comforted by the God of ALL comfort during this time.

It's the start of a fresh new week! Lot's to do, say and places to be. But have we spent time with God yet? Have we ask Him to lead and guide us? What about the "issues" of our hearts? Are we making the most of our time and days or are we working to "prove to someone" that they were wrong about us? Let's come together and pray. Our minds and hearts are not equipped to hold the strain and stress of a "rat race" mentality. If "it" is for us, then we must pace ourselves, work hard and pray too!

I know it seems like everyone else is prospering, making moves and everything they touch turns to gold, but sis, what YOU have has not been ignored, overlooked or forgotten!
"The preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord."- Proverbs16:1
What God has prepared for you, you can't even fathom! Join me in prayer as I seek to remind you of what the Lord reminded me of, "I see your courage!"
There use to be a time when school was back in session you felt relief. Nowadays that relief has been filled with fear and anxiety. Rightfully so, no one could've imagined we would be sending our teachers back to school earlier to be trained in how to protect themselves and the kids from an "active shooter". If you have been meaning to start praying, I want to COMPEL you to do it THIS YEAR!
Yes, we need to change the gun laws. Yes, we need tighter security on campus. Yes, to ALL of the laws that can keep us safe.
And YES to praying in the Spirit. Because there is NO LAW that can contain and change a heart, EXCEPT through the blood of Jesus!!!

There is NOTHING like a grateful heart! Join me in prayer as I say THANK YOU to a God who has done exceedingly, abundantly what I could ask or even THINK!!!
I once heard a preacher say, "you don't get more of what you want, without getting more of what you don't want." And how true that is! Maybe you are like me, praying and asking God for MANY things for you, your family and friends. Nothing wrong with that at all. I think what we miss is that, WITH the prayers that are being made, there is ALWAYS something attached to "it" that we didn't ask for, but God saw fit to give that too!

You ever been in a place where you just KNOW you need more of Him? That place where there is a pull on your heart for greater, for bigger, for deeper? If you can relate, this prayer is for you! I recorded this prayer as I walked around the sanctuary of our church. As the psalmist Travis Green declares in one of his songs, "I still believe what my eyes can't see..."

This prayer is for the person who no longer wants to "find a way" to blame others and play the victim in this chapter of their life story. You can finally see that "you are the cause" and that things need to change. They need to change because you aren't happy, you aren't satisfied with where you are. You've spent MOST of your life trying to be someone you thought you should be, instead of being who God created you to be. You need protection from you because no matter where you go, the you that reasons, justifies and lies will keep you right where you are...in bondage and fear. Bring your faith and let's pray!
"You're familiar with the old written law, 'Love your friend,' and its UNWRITTEN companion, 'Hate your enemy.' I'm challenging that. I'm telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the BEST IN YOU, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives His best-the sun to warm and the rain to nourish-to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that..."-Matt5:43-47(MSG)
Everyone has there "thing" that they make excuses for. Whether it be losing weight, quitting drinking and abusing drugs, unforgiveness, accepting help, being a more loving and sacrificial spouse, attending church, saving money...and yet we want to be blessed with (fill in the blank). I'm learning that God will not bless you with more is you embrace and master little. Paul says, "I discipline myself like an athlete, training it (attitude, perspective, response, reactions, decisions) to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others (operating in your gift in public) I myself might be disqualified (living poorly; lack of self control; confidence; courage; faith)."1Cor9:27 In other words, if we don't master our flesh, "it" will continue to guide our lives and leave us feeling unhappy, unfulfilled and unlikeable.

I believe narcissistic abuse does far more damage than any other abuse because it seeks to confuse the mind, warp reality and relentlessly beat you down verbally, emotionally and many times physically. A narcissist is a spirit crusher. They seek to control, confuse and torment individuals to gratify their insatiable egotistical/prideful mind. The goal of a narcissist is to make the victim feel more dependent on them and ever less likely to leave. If you have suffered at the hands of a narcissist, my heart breaks for you! It is not your fault and YOU CAN HAVE A HEALTHY, VIBRANT LIFE...but you must escape their abuse. No matter how much you cry, reason or "perform" for them, it will never be enough because it was never about you.

Giants exist in all of our lives. There size can be intimidating, daunting and antagonizing. In the story of David and Goliath the giant was an actual person who harassed the Isreal army for 40 days!!! While we may not have an actual person who is taunting and mocking us, though some of us might, if we are being or have been raised by a narcissistic parent, our giants may be in the form of an addiction, fear, low self esteem or worry. WHATEVER the giant, we have assurance in our godly weapons (prayer, faith, trust, endurance) that they can FALL DOWN! Join me in prayer as we pray for their downfall and our deliverance! #wegotthis
The closer you get to God, the more hell plots and plans to distract, discourage and confuse you. I had to reming myself that THIS battle, is the Lords!!! When I say that, I mean, the hell I'm experiencing is because I'm doing my assignment. And if you are doing your assignment, remind yourself that ALL this hell you're catching is because your on the side of VICTORY! Bring your faith and LET'S PRAY!!!
In the nonstop, ever changing world of social media, it can be VERY hard to keep focus on what God has given you to do. Everyone looks like they are winning. While there are many people who do, most of us don't. At least not yet...I know we shouldn't compare, but I've found even for the best of us, if you stay on social media long enough, you can "fall into" the comparison game before you realize it! Quiet as it's kept, I think we ALL have someone, sometimes that we are watching that we compare our whatever to. If you are human like me, and have these type of feelings , as ashamed of them as I am, then THIS prayer is for you! We gone be alright!

In order for "things" to change, WE must change! It can't ALWAYS be everyone else. Admittedly, change is hard because it REQUIRES us to hold ourselves accountable and to be honest. I believe, that prayer changes EVERYTHING! Honest communication with God about the inner "issues" we ALL deal with, will give us the courage, maturity and endurance to put our faith into ACTION! "Faith without works, is dead!" James2:26
I believe in God and acknowledge that I have Mental Illness. I don't lack faith because I admit that. We must shape our Theology according to the Bible, not our feelings and/or traditions. Jesus showed us an example of healthy grief work (when He heard Lazarus died) and Job, Paul, Jeremiah, Jonah and Elisha exhibit bouts of extreme sadness, anxiety, paranoia and hopelessness. Yet, God used their lives to show how great and mighty He is through sickness and crippling pain. This episode is for ANYONE who wants to get well.

Honestly, I didn't "feel" like praying today. My heart is hurting for our nation and I am mentally exhausted. So, I decided to share just that, in this podcast. Prayer warriors don't always feel like they're being heard. Nevertheless, we (prayer warriors) KNOW God is listening just as intently when we are ready to "go to war" in the spirit realm as when we just need to have a talk with our Daddy. Are you having a hard time loving others on Valentines Day or ANY day? Then THIS prayer is for you! Did you know that LOVE was the reason Christ died for us? That it was because of the angry, unforgiving, stubborn, hateful, bruised heart that He came to Redeem us! How AWESOME is that?!?! Place your hurt in His Hands TODAY! After you have done that, come back tomorrow and do it again. and again. Then find a good therapist (I prefer Christian therapist, counselors and/or support groups) and keep a regular scheduled appt until your Help arrives!

Don't you dare give up on the dream/vision God gave you! Great "things" take time because God NEEDS us to have the character to SUSTAIN us IN the blessing! So while you (we) wait, let this prayer encourage your heart. The vision is for an "appointed time"...will you be ready? Let's go!
We've all heard the old adage, "growing old gracefully" and I think that's a fantastic way to look at life. Growing older is a blessing and some "things" in life you NEED age to genuinely appreciate "it", or "that" or "them". As I near my 44th birthday, I've decided I want to grow older in an OUTSTANDING way! What I mean by that is, I REFUSE to just "let myself go", mentally or physically. I want my "latter" days to be MORE significant than my previous days, mentally and physically! I want to be stronger, more energetic, more insightful, more pleasant, more courageous, more giving and sweeter as the days go by! I believe with God ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!!! Bring your faith.

1Tim4:8 says, "For bodily exercise profits a little..." meaning, that if we place our confidence and self worth in our appearance alone, we will discover that it's benefits won't heal the hurt of the soul or bring us closer to godliness. I am by no means saying don't exercise. That would be unwise! What I am saying is remember the small benefits (restful nights sleep, decreased anxiety & worry, etc) and reap the GOOD results so that you can fulfill your God given assignment! Let me pray for you...
