Last week during the Word on Wednesday Solomon asked for a discerning heart ( a heart that hears). We discussed this at length, as well as the Lord's reply and promise to make him wise and rich. Get the video lesson for the entire study. This week we look at the implications of Solomon's blessing of wisdom. We will finish the balance of chapter 3 AND chapter 4. If you have been in class the past couple of weeks, you know that God has anointed you. You know how to guard your anointing. Tonight we talk about the "Release of the Anointed." Solomon was anointed by God to be King over Israel. The Lord fulfills his promise to David by permitting his son to sit on the throne and build the temple. David wanted to build it, but because he was warrior, he killed many men and was considered too bloody. This worshipping warrior had the anointing to destroy the enemy and bring a nation together. He did not have the anointing to build Go's temple.

So tonight we get back into the Old Testament. Many of you confine yourself to Psalms and maybe parts of Genesis and Joshua, because the Old Testament can be rather complicated. It is and it is not. Last week we found out that spiritual gifts should be employed in a manner that builds up the congregation. This week we further the discussion by examining Paul's teaching on the orderly deployment of spiritual gifts. While this teaching is rather elementary to those who have been taught correctly; there are many who have come into the church and have never been exposed to these passages. Improper teaching furthers ignorance and opens the door to confusion and division. If you want "oneness" in your congregation learn the Word and follow God's Spirit. The Lord gave you a "gift" for the body. Why does it seem ineffective? Why do you feel as if your gift is "nothing?" Perhaps you are missing something. Spiritual gifts are important to the body of Christ. Understanding their function is essential for Christian's. This is why satan does not want them taught. Tonight we anned to teach 1 Corinthians 12, and have encountered opposition. Telephone, cable, and internet service has been interrupted by the provider doing some type of work in the area. I am using a hotspot to get this message out, but need the phone line and internet for the global drive and YouTube audience. Sooo, I have to wait until they are back. If possible, we will do the teaching tomorrow. In the mean time, pray for this teaching. This is a spirit that is opposing us. All pray warriors are officially called into the fight. Take no prisoners!

Over the past couple of lessons we dealt with the source of division within the body of Christ. We identified some of sources as flesh, worldly wisdom, people preference, and failure to understand the true meaning of baptism. Last week Paul taught the Corinthians he was a master builder sent to help with the construction of the temple; and they were God's temple. Can you imagine being God's temple? You are the dwelling place of God! "know ye not that ye are the temple of God?" WOW!

Last week we had a funeral for our flesh! I need not have the Lord send me a message saying "ye are yet carnal! Carnal will not inherit the Kingdom. Carnal does not produce good fruit. Carnal is confusion and evil. Carnal is nothing we want. Carnal needs killing! The flesh must die that Christ may live within us. This week we continue our discussion of 1 Corinthians 3. Wed night we continue our series in 1st Corinthians. This will be our third lesson, and we are still in chapter 1. Yep, we are going slow, but the pace will pick up (a little). The lesson for this week is entitled "Wise and Otherwise." In the lesson we discuss the wisdom. The Corinthians believe they have superior knowledge because of they are surrounded by smart people. Tomorrow night we begin yet another journey through another book (letter) in our Wednesday night bible study. 1st Corinthians is a letter written by Paul to a real church full of real people. Real people have real problems. For some strange reason we think that when a person gets saved, all of the issues and problems go away. One minute the person is a whoremonger, then he gets a shot of Jesus, and wham his issues with women are all gone. NOT! Though he has received salvation, he still has issues. The difference is now he has the indwelling Holy Spirit to lead him to the truth about his sinful habit and the power to be freed from it. In short, he is in the process of being made holy. Now can you imagine a church filled with people with issues? (I know I can because I worship with a group like that, and I am one of the main people with issues!)
So, if you want to know what the Lord has to say to real churches with real people with real issues, join us for our series entitled "The Crisis at Corinth: A study through Paul's 1st letter to the Corinthians." Tomorrow we introduce the letter, and maybe get through the first part of chapter 1. You want to be there on time because the teachings are only 30 minutes and we start on time. Our final lesson from Acts is entitled: Mission Accomplished.
Tomorrow we finish the journey started in January from the book of Acts. In our study we received our "Go" from Jesus. He gave us the Holy Spirit to lead and empower us to complete the assignment. We studied the formation of the body of Christ and it's expansion throughout modern day Turkey, Greece, Italy, Syria, Arabia and Israel.
We learned that opposition, persecution, and suffering are parts of the program. But most importantly we learned and experienced the faithfulness of our Lord. We know the power of His Word and the presence of His Spirit.
Join us tomorrow as we complete the journey. Acts 28 will cover Paul's arrival in Rome. WOW will start at 7 p.m. on Globaldrive and Facebook Live. We are coming towards the start of the Acts Bible Study. It took about 15 months to complete our study of 1 and 2 Samuel. But, those who completed the series have a better understanding of God's plan for unity, his requirements for leaders, covenant connections, and opening the door to satan through disobedience. Though the study was in Samuel, we learned and visited many Old and New Testament books that helped us understand the "why and what" of Samuel. A long journey, but worth the time. Now on to Acts!
We will study Acts in three parts. Below is the tentative schedule for each segment. Each session will last about 45 minutes (30 minutes of teaching, 15 minutes for questions, and comments).

Good intentions can lead to wrong expressions. Ponder that thought for a minute. Tonight we explore David's intentions and efforts to bring the ark to Jerusalem. 2 Samuel 6 records the events surrounding David's efforts to bring the ark to the new capital of Israel. Last week we discussed how God used His anointed Spirit filled King against the Jebusites and Philistines. In my Phil Collins voice-"tonight, tonight, tonight, o-oh! Last week in 2 Samuel 4 we looked at the manifestations of the flesh. Ish Bosheth, appointed king by Abner was not anointed by God. This was a work of flesh. He did not have God's Spirit. As a result we saw Galatians 5:18-21 illustrated in 2 Samuel 4. We also learned why David had his killers hung from a tree; (to show that their deaths were a result of a divine curse).
Tonight we move to chapter 5 entitled "The Anointed King is Revealed." You still have time to answer the question "who is your King? Is he a king of flesh (you)? Or is he God's anointed King. Last week we revealed and explored our first dirty word. The word was discipline. When the Lord disciplines his children it is from a place of love, not wrath. Biblical discipline points towards training and instruction. It can involve some punishment, but even the punishment and rebuke, but even these are administered from God's loving heart. His goal in training us is to release us into a place of abundant life. God trains us that we might "live large."
