The ultimate goal of the Nine Points podcast is to empower families by using scripture, mental health concepts and respectful dialogue.
Leadership takes many forms, but it always involves rising with the assignment. This episode is about rising to the assignment for your families and doing so in nonjudgmental ways.
In the first segment I reflect on a playful lesson that my grandfather taught me. The second segment is the Sunday School lesson covering Galatians 4:8-20.
1 Corinthians chapter 12 explains how different members of a body work together to do great things. With this in mind, we should be intentional about respecting members of our families and communities. This can generate good will and good faith relationships.

There is a familiar phrase that says "Fatigue makes cowards of us all." While Galatians 6:9 begins by saying "Let us not become weary in doing good," it should serve as a warning to us that mistakes can increase when we grow tired. Mental fatigue can occur gradually, robbing us of the vitality necessary to carry out our responsibilities with courage and mental flexibility. Segment one discusses how fellowship can help reduce fatigue and enhance learning. Segment 2, (Z-Time), includes processing an adolescent perspective of the aging process.

During the first segment, we process how a healthy attitude is correlated with insight, honesty, courage & fellowship. In the second segment, we process the journey of Jonah with Generation Z.
In today's podcast, I share an example of how my own needs for affirmation almost cancelled out the bigger, more relevant information that I needed to share. From there, the remainder of the podcast is dedicated to explaining why a special song has much to offer all of us. In the end, there was so much "Fruit" embedded within this song, that we ultimately decided to have only one segment for this podcast.
Within this episode we explore the choices that we are left to make after we've been on the receiving end of unfavorable, biased or mean spirited actions. In the first segment, we explore these scenarios from within the contexts of spiritual beliefs, politics & sports. In the second segment we go inside "the war room" where civility and compromises are often dismissed, so that we can learn to appreciate their value. In the final segment, we process the call for husbands and wives to submit to God first, so that we can give our best to each other.
In every podcast we focus on the importance of communicating respectfully. Today, we focused on some commonly held assumptions & the subsequent attitudes that they inspire. In the first segment we explored what taking the Lord's name in vain could look like. In the second segment we addressed the autism spectrum from a very personal perspective. In the third segment, we took a look at the impact of the just world bias.
The Nine Points podcast is dedicated to assessing and promoting healthy communication patterns within our families and closest social relationships. We do this by applying "The Fruit of the Spirit" (found in Galatians 5: 22-23) as much as possible to current issues. In this particular episode we discuss the dangers of mental fatigue, apply the Fruit of the Spirit to offset it & Generation Z processes the Parable of the Prodigal Son.

This episode is a sample segment which describes what the Nine Points Podcast is all about, the structure of how future podcasts will be designed, as well as explaining where the name "Nine Points Podcast" came from.
The topic discussed in this sample podcast is "Church Folks." In it I describe some of the criticisms and challenges that people face when we try to leave our old behaviors behind and invite others to join us on our new walk towards righteous living.
