Welcome to DEARBROS! This Docyouments 2nd podcast installment. A platform for black men to feel safe & expressive! With our first episode we touched base on what is a man? a black man? How do we navigate with ourselves on a daily & how we can do that together. Speaking sexuality, how we were raised vs how we are living now. We sat down with one another to figure out healthy cooping mechanisms we can practice to further one another, ourselves and our communities at large. During the event we will have a open conversation about their journeys as photographers, their style, how does a support system play a role in their artistic ventures & more.

As they speak about their experiences, who they are behind the lens, their experiences with in the art of photography, the interaction with working with photographers. How important their jobs and passions are surrounding visual presentation as women of color in the artistic industry. This photomatic event episode was dedicated to bridging the gap between veteran photography artist and new age photography artists. Even though it is black history month we focus on not only the path that these artist's have all taken but also knowing how far we have come as a culture from back in the day, to now. Featuring Sophie Mariee, Jean Messeroux, Akintola Hanif, Laylah Barrayn as well as photographic images from a surprise guest Nema Etebar. We spoke about the experiences of traveling photography, where they went, how far they have went with their camera & who they are behind the lens as the veteran photography artist give some insight and advice to the current generation. Photomatic is an event geared towards black and brown photography artists to express their vision and voice on their photo art and who they are behind the lens. Unfortunately we have had two events prior to this audio document and just now figured out how to record the event the way we see fit. So we took the liberty of recording this one in hopes to record the future events in this form. This event we spot light Raeann Walters & Redens Desrosiers as they speak about their travels to their homelands and using photography as their tool to tell the stories of where they have come from.
