WINK is an acronym for "What I Now Know," which is also the format of messaging with The WINK Hub.
Each "WINK" is a piece of advice to your younger self, using the following format: "Knowing what I now know, I would tell myself at/as..."
Listen along as Emma (founder of @thewinkhub) interviews guests about their WINK, specific to every single person. The beautiful truth about telling our story is that, while we've all experienced different circumstances, the lessons are often similar. Fear, Love, Growth, Anger, Loneliness. There's a collective experience all of us share on this planet.
And lest you think all WINKs need to be heavy or serious, sometimes the words that your 17-year-old self needs to hear is that you absolutely cannot microwave a Capri-Sun. And your 22 year old self needs to hear not to give yourself bangs right after a breakup!

It's DAY 50 of The 100 Day Project 2020, so I thought I'd walk you through what the daily chalk drawings you've seen all over my social media are about! In this episode, I'll fill you in on all the details of the Project and dive into some unexpected takeaways I've gained from participating.
Even if you don't think you're creative, I guarantee there's something for you by joining in the fun - there's a ton of great takeaways that have nothing to do with the specific project and more to do with learning to enjoy the process. Let me know if you've done a project or have any questions about the process!
Pivot, pivot… PIVOT! Ross* was saying it before it was cool, back when we could hug and go to movies. With all the recent pivoting going on with the world (and on a much smaller scale, me), I wanted to create this episode about the three perspective-shifters I'm using to turn negatives to positives!
My story in this episode is about my recent job loss, but I think anyone who is going through big changes - being furloughed, reduced hours, essential workers - will hopefully find these takeaways useful!
*Ross is the worst character in 'Friends,' no argument.

Today’s Power Up episode features a quote from the book “Option B,” written by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant. This book is incredible - a blend of storytelling and research, based around resilience, adversity, and joy. I haven’t finished it yet, but I’ve been incredibly moved by the stories shared. I’ll share the link to the book here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N8R5QD7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_7SL8DbS5DTPYV

In this episode, I quote Brendon Burchard: “At the core of congruence are questions about how we are really living our life, not just imagining it -- to feel more congruent, we will have to be more conscious about who we are and what kind of life we want to live. We will have to be conscious in crafting and maintaining our identity."

This episode features a mantra from Gay Hendricks’ book, “The Big Leap.” I finished the book this week and really like the way Gay presented the idea of a mantra as an anchor to thoughts and energy through the day. To make this practice of remembering my mantra very easy, I created a Phone Wallpaper for myself with the mantra in it. I’ll post it on my personal Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/TheDilemmasOfEmma and I’ve linked the book here: https://www.amazon.com/Big-Leap-Conquer-Hidden-Level/dp/0061735361/ref=nodl_

If you’re like me, you’re really good at remembering every awful thought, every negative act, every selfish move you’ve ever made. And I’m really good at taking those negatives and creating a false narrative about myself from them. BUT! Today’s Pep Talk episode dives into the flip side of this, thanks to a thought from Adam Grant on the most recent episode of the Armchair Expert Podcast (Ep. 163).
What if we also remembered every selfless, thoughtful, kind impact we ever made? Our confidence would surely be stronger and our sense of value would be much more balanced. Take a listen and let me know what you think! Are you better at remembering the negatives or the positives?

This episode features a quote from Gay Hendricks’ book, “The Big Leap.” I haven’t quite finished it yet, but it’s a fascinating study of the upper limits to our happiness, success and abundance. These self-imposed limits are often subconscious and I’ve really enjoyed exploring how they present themselves in my life. I’ve linked the book here: https://www.amazon.com/Big-Leap-Conquer-Hidden-Level/dp/0061735361/ref=nodl_

Before being with Todd, I used to worry that our relationship wouldn’t work if we both didn’t want to do the same thing all the time. Or even worse, I would just feel like I was wrong - that going out and being social was the RIGHT thing to do and hanging out at home was the wrong thing.
But this is your reminder that if you’re stuck in a narrative loop telling you that being an introvert is lame or boring, I promise you’re normal and healthy. Those lies are hard to break, but I truly believe that I am a better wife, friend and employee when I take the time to rejuvenate the way I need to. Take care of yourself however you need!

Today’s Pep Talk comes to you from a gas station parking lot! If you’re feeling a little off your game, sidetracked from your routine, and beating yourself up about it... you’re normal! We’re in a weekend of other people impacting our routines, and that lack of control always makes me feel a little less than great. The good news is that you don’t have to stay that way. Enjoy yourself, make the memories, and remember that tomorrow is a new day and YOU are in control of making it a great one!

Today’s Power Up episode encourages you to allow your happiness, abundance and potential to flow, without feeling guilty or selfish. A perfect reminder as we enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner that embracing joy and striving to be our Best Self encourages our family and friends to do the same!
This episode features a passage of Cathy Heller’s new book, “Don’t Keep Your Day Job.” I’m currently reading it for the second time, and it’s wonderful - this passage I read is an example of the motivation and comfort that shines from each page. If you aren’t a reader, give her podcast of the same name a listen! I’ll link the book down below.

Are you like me and constantly have a voice in your ear? Podcast, tv show, audiobook, etc.? I get it, believe me, but this practice of giving myself time without receiving any input has done WONDERS for my productivity and creativity. Give yourself some time to THINK and I guarantee you will be amazed at the work your brain does for you. This is so useful if you have a question you want answered, a decision you have to make, or if you need to do some creative brainstorming on a project for work.

Do you feel like you need to justify your life to everyone? This lil pep talk is for you. I get it... I catch myself doing this regularly - but guess what?! Not everyone else has to "get it." And in fact, it's a huge waste of time and energy to try and make sure they do. The only person you need to understand is YOU. Share this with someone who needs to hear it.

Is it possible to be too passionate? In this episode, I talk about my struggle with hyper-focusing on one aspect of my life... and the parts of my life that are then left suffering. I think you'll relate whether you're super driven at work OR super driven by Netflix! I mention Brendon Burchard's book "High Performance Habits," and how I've been using his Transition Meditation to carry me from role to role in my day.
The product I'm loving in this episode is the High Performance Planner - I've begun using it in addition to my regular journaling, and it's making a huge difference in my productivity and organization through the day. Check it out at http://www.highperformanceplanner.com

To celebrate my TENTH episode (!), I've compiled the top five facts that you never knew you needed to know. What would my alter ego career be? Why did I eat alone at lunch for two years? And yes, we are all embarrassed for me.
This week's shout-out is to my (gulp) favorite book: "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. If you've read this already, we just became best friends. If not, I am giving you a GIFT telling you about it! SO good!
In this episode, I had to do something a little different. I've been going through some swings of anxiety and depression, and found myself in a position to either:
I went with the third option: an authentic description of what this bout of depression feels like from the inside. I hope it's interesting even to those who don't suffer from mental health issues; if you have anyone in your life who DOES suffer, I think there's value here.
What I'm loving at the moment: my new linen bathrobe from Vikolino! I was recently gifted this linen bathrobe at my bridal shower, and, well. I live in it now. It's lightweight and gorgeous and I plan on wearing it pretty much my entire honeymoon. Check it out! http://vikolino.com/catalog/apparel/

Here's a FREE download for you with my FAVORITE journal topics I regularly use. I literally sat down and flipped through my last few journals to pick out my favorites - give it a look!
Some of the topics covered are:
What I'm loving at the moment:

When was the last time you learned something new?
In this episode, Emma discusses her transition from a FIXED mindset to a GROWTH mindset... and all the growing pains that come along with that journey! Emma references the book "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol Dweck (a lot) and relates the moment when she realized she wasn't done evolving as a human.
In this episode, Emma talks about her dear friend Zoloft. It wouldn't be right to discuss the journey to self-love and not mention one of the biggest players. If you've ever been curious about the path to getting medical help for your mental health, definitely check this episode out.
Emma talks about dosage, the time she quit cold-turkey, and the divisive idea that if we have the opportunity to make life easier for ourselves - we should take it.
Do you know what your values are?
In this episode, Emma continues with her Back-to-Basics Self-Love series. Knowing what's important to you is key to making choices that guide you to become your best self. When you're in the thick of depression, anxiety, grief - HECK - even being busy or stressed or hyper focused on work, what you SHOULD do isn't always obvious or easy.
This is where values come into play. Values give us the clear framework to make sure that we are living the life we want to live!
In this episode, Emma's getting back to the basics of Self-Love. Identifying emotions is a crucial component of loving yourself.
This episode is all about the process of making space to recognize emotions & then processing said emotions. A deceptively simple activity... because it turns out, it's REALLY hard to process your feelings if you don't even know that what you're experiencing ARE emotions! Shocker!
Emma discusses her introvert tendencies, and how she used to fear they would define her as lame, boring, or a "grandma." She talks about how to manage a relationship between an extrovert & introvert, and then reveals her first big fight with Todd (extrovert extraordinaire)!
Hello and welcome! I couldn't be happier to have you here. This is Episode 1 of The Dilemmas of Emma podcast, and man, I hope it is the start of something beautiful for you and I.
In this episode, I introduce myself, give a little bit of background to some of my many dilemmas, and give you an idea of the fun we're about to have together... spoiler alert, it's going to be AWESOME**.
This episode is short and sweet, but tune in next time for some tangible tools and insights into my favorite podcasts, books, and people who inspire me. I hope that by showing you how I've taken used their wisdom to change my life, I'll inspire you to change yours for the better as well!
